We were two couples on a two-week road-trip. We stayed in the Montana Suite. This worked great for the four of us. For the smaller of the two bedrooms the bath was across the hall, but that was no inconvenience at all. The Good Medicine Lodge was very clean and convenient to town and restaurants. I can not say enough about the hospitality of Woody. Betsy was out of town so we did not get to meet her. It was great being greeted at the door after a long day of travel. Woody showed us to our room and then had wine/beer and cheese for us to nibble on as we relaxed. Speaking of relaxing, Woody did an outstanding job of making us feel at home. There were many great sitting areas both inside and out for us to rest. Before we left to continue our journey, we were served a wonderful breakfast. Woody asked us each to choose from three breakfast choices the night before. This is a fantastic place to stay and I highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite places to stay!! I've staying here three times during ski trips to Whitefish Ski Resort (Big Mountain). The Good Medicine Lodge was truly one of the best parts of my stays. The service was incredible, Woody and Betsy are both very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Breakfasts are gourmet - truly some of the best (home-made) meals I've had in the morning. There are always fresh delicious cookies, a hot tub to retreat to, a tv and lounge area, an outside fire, and it's only about 10 minutes from the mountain. It truly feels like a home when staying there, I recommend fully.

What a great place to stay! Woody and Betsy are the perfect hosts along with their staff Where do I start? The place is immaculate! Very comfortable setting and the rooms are spotless. Betsy has breakfast available for the guests starting at 8am. Since we were always leaving early to hit the trails we missed breakfast but Woody always made sure we had a bowl of cereal available for us . Then there is happy hour every night from 5-7pm with small munchies and beer and wine for the guests. What a nice touch! Jason helps out on Tuesdays and wow.... Jason makes the most incredible Blueberry muffins! All in all Good Medicine Lodge is a fantastic place to stay if visiting the area. It's only 30 minutes away from Glacier National Park and minutes from Downtown Whitefish and Whitefish Lake.

I spent only two days at Good Medicine Lodge and would go there again for sure. Very nice accommodations, excellent and healthful breakfasts, and hosts Betsy and Woody and Jason were friendly and helpful. Great cookies too! Loved just sitting in the wonderful leather chairs in the a.m., reading and awaiting a scrumptious breakfast before hitting the road to Glacier, Flathead lake etc.

Still the best B&B in the Kalispell/Whitefish area bar none! Comfortable, beautifully appointed rooms -- all thematic. Lots of privacy if you want it. But Plenty of different places in- and out-door to relax, read a book, watch a movie, soak in the hot tub, or chat. The entire place is decorated impeccably; just makes you feel at home -- in the home you wish you had -- right away. It's just far enough (less than a mile) from downtown Whitefish to be out of the busy area of town. But within easy reach. Hosts are the personable sort of folk you want running a B&B. A pleasure to chat with. A helpful, pleasant serving and cleaning staff. Breakfasts are fantastic -- seems like always something new. Three choices everyday. Gluten free options available. Good place to start a tradition of visiting each year.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I'm a very choosy traveler and rarely do I find a place that greatly exceeds my expectations. The owners, Woody and Betsy, and the consummate hosts. The vibe is warm, inviting, friendly. It's incredibly beautiful and clean. All you can eat incredible cookies. Breakfasts that go above and beyond. Really didn't want to leave!

The lodge was conveniently located. The inn keepers were amazingly warm and friendly people. The room we stayed in had a cozy and good-sized bed, nice and clean full bathroom, and a beautiful view of the backyard and surrounding mountains. The best parts of this lodge were their cookies, breakfast, and daily wine/beer + hors d'oeuvres. I LOVED their lemon sugar cookies. I would have snatched the cookie jar if I could. I'll definitely go back there and eat more cookies! :-)

My wife and I had a fantastic stay here. After several long days out hiking on the trails of Glacier, this is a great place to end up. It's about 15 minutes from West Glacier but that's enough to get you away from the summer crowds and there are plenty of nice dining options in downtown Whitefish. Betsy, Woody and Jason were are all excellent hosts. Breakfasts were excellent and hearty - perfect way to fill up before hitting the trails. Don't hesitate to ask these guys for advice getting around Glacier. Hint: There's always several cookie jars full of home made cookies on the counter when you walk in. Grab a couple hundred of these things for your day hike. Now, maybe I get hungry after several hours of hiking, but I'd swear these are some the best cookies on the planet!

We had a wonderful time here, as we wound down to the end of our honeymoon in the Glacier National Park area. What had an incredible time with Woody and Betsy--the food each morning was exceptional and gorgeously presented, the evenings nibbles and wine was a wonderful welcome after a long day hiking, the movie room was a wonderful treat, the hot tub was glorious in the evening, the huge cookies and the espresso machine were always ready... just perfect. Thanks so much!

This place rocks! Betsy and Woody were fantastic hosts. The room was super clean and comfy. Easy access to town and the ski resort (bus stops right out front for A.M. pick up and P.M. drop off from the resort. The food was GREAT& the hot tub was HOT! We would highly recomend this place to anyone wanting a quick get away from Seattle. A one hour flight into town, or if you are feeling adventours the Amtrak also runs an overnight form Seattle. To say the least we had a negative experience with the train this trip. We are flying home instead. Good Medicine Lodge was WONDERFUL!

The best B&B I've ever stayed at! Here's why: All you can eat cookies!!!! These cookies are huge and soft and I had to come away with the recipe. They had three different kinds while we were there. All were soft and chewy. Hot tub with outdoor fire. There is nothing better than sitting in a nice hot tub with a glass of wine after a hard day of skiing. Ski room with gloves and boot dryers. Great food and wide selection of breakfast items. The homemade granola was my favorite and now that I have the recipe, I will be making it at home! Happy hour with wine/beer and hors d'Å“uvres (and of course cookies). Gracious hosts who are always one step ahead of you. I was leaving on a 7am flight, which is before they start serving breakfast, but Woody offered to leave out some of the yummy granola and a container of milk for me. Helpful and excellent suggestions for activities and restaurants. They even sell discounted lift tickets, saving us both money and time. Did I mention the best cookies ever? ANYTIME! I felt so at home here, whether it was curling up on the couch with a good book or talking to Woody about our day on the slopes. The lodge is immaculate and I was always marveling at the little details that the owners had thought of. For example, there was a large thermos of ice water in our rooms that we didn't even know was there! There is a reason why they were rated one of the most romantic inns! This is the best place to stay in the area!

This B&B is the best one that I've ever experienced. The owners, Betsy & Woody Cox not only opened their home, but they opened up to conversations with them. They are such wonderful warm and friendly people. They think of everything to make your stay as luxuriously comforting as possible. It was so clean and smelled good, like a spa, perhaps because of the wooden planked ceilings. The decor is tastefully decorated with Native American/Western, antique items, and Persian carpets on the oak floors. The public spaces of the B&B felt a part of your own space. There is a coffee area with glass jars filled with their homemade cookies, available at all hours of the day! An espresso machine, hot chocolate, variety of teas, are also available to complement your cookie break! This room also holds a bar refrigerator to store your perishables. A sitting/living room with wood fired stove, tall windows, and tall pine tree. A separate breakfast dining room with antiques and local Whitefish handmade pottery dishes. An outdoor patio to sit or dunk in the hot tub and view the gardens and flowers, which Woody takes great care. A washer and dryer in laundry adjacent to the coffee room. Our room (queen standard room) was very spacious. Bathrooms included a large bar of glycerine lavendar soap and Gil Christ Soames brand shampoo, conditioner, lotion. The breakfast is SCRUMPTIOUS and very substantial. Not only is there a buffet spread of homemade granola, yogurt, breads (including raisin bread) for toast , dried fruits and nuts, juices, but they serve a gourmet hot meal...herbed scone with eggs and chives; ham cups with mushroom and eggs. This followed a fruit dish such as homemade Flathead Valley cherry cobbler. We enjoyed the happy hour. My husband always wanted to return the B&B by 5pm so he would not miss the beer/wine & appetizers served. This B&B happened to be our stop before and after Glacier National park. But it will be our destination now to refuel our soul.
