For what I thought was a bar, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is clean nicely decorated and inviting. We were greated and seated and our drinks came right out. Our waiter told us about Chef Matt and that our food would be delicious. We had the broiled chicken with truffled fries, ahi tuna salad and a chicken Mediterranean sandwich. The food was excellent, he was right! Next time we will order an appetizer so the wait for our dinner is shorter. This will be a repeat, and some place I will recommend to others. Going back to sit on the deck when it is warmer. This place is going to give the establishment across the street a run for the money!

Very slow service and the food my wife and kids had was mediocre and my food was raw. I ordered the porkie sandwich so if you prefer your pork cooked I would suggest a different establishment.

we checked out the previous reviews & they varied. We decided to give the business a chance & we weren't disappointed. I encourage you to come here. We had excellent service & good food. it is busy so make a reservation & enjoy the place.

We had the lunch special, pastrami sandwich, and it was very good! The fries were not the best, but the tomato soup was pretty good. We took the deserts home and they were excellent. The prices were on the expensive side. The service was a bit slow for the number of people in the dining room. The server was very nice and made our lunch worth the trip. The place has "moved uptown" and sort of lost its small town feel. Overall it was a good lunch and we will probably go back.

The atmosphere is great, and the remodeling of this place is fantastic. The old menu was boring, and had little options. This new menu under Chef Wiles is amazing. I've had the porkie twice already because it's that good. The owners of the place are great people and truly care about their business. I will happily support their business and establishment. They've taken a dingy old bar and made it into a great place with amazing food!

Great new take on the old Jackson Creek Saloon! The building has been completely remodeled but kept the charm of Montana intact with timbers and wood. There may be nothing more simple than a burger, but it's also easy to screw it up. That said, mine was prepared just right! Melted cheese was intact and not oozing everywhere. Crisp bacon and fresh bun. It's awesome to get this one right. Excellent server - Cole was his name - made sure I knew about upcoming events, etc. for those of you who remember the old place, the broasted chicken is back on the menu. The Deck is back along with horseshoe pits. We really had a great meal here and look forward to coming back for a Jackson Creek evening soon! Thanks!

This place is really nice and a terrific addition to Montana City. The decor is Montana cabin ish casual - all freshly remodeled and new. I'm sure they will add more character as time goes on. Now they're relying on a lot of beer banners. I've eaten here twice- the service is terrific- Knowledgable, friendly and prompt. We had a blond gal names carson- she was really professional and friendly. The menu is limited but has some very good offerings- great Cobb salad, awesome elk/bison/beef burger and very good fried chicken. Truffle fries are amazing!! I rated it a 4 star bc they need to add a few more main menu items- the chicken is great but a few more dishes would be nice. Seems like they're trying to make a few items awesome- not a bad plan, at least at the beginning. And they're succeeding. The wine list is so so- uninventive. Good beers on tap. All in all I look forward to coming back-

This place has been remodeled and looks great! The service and food (I had the house salad and truffle fries) were excellent. I would strongly recommend the Dirty Girl drink - delicious.

I was very impressed with the wonderful salads. Delicious. The truffle fries are the best in town. Service was fast and friendly. Helena is in desperate need of quality restaurants and this is a great addition.

Fantastic experience! Very clean. We were greeted immediately with a smile. Though the menu is smaller, the burgers, fries & onion rings are excellent. Prices are extremely reasonable & the service was very friendly & attentive. We will definitely be returning!

Oh...My...God!!!!! This was the worst dining experience I've had in decades!!!! Service was poor and food was terrible. The one person in our party of 6 had a burger (there are few choices) thought the burger was good...the rest of us wished we ordered a burger. Chicken seemed to be the main dish being served as is was the highlighted meal on the menu. Three of us had the chicken and no one ate more than a few bites...it was tough to cut and impossibly tough to chew. I had the soup of the day and the only pasta dish on the menu and I assume that the cook (I will not use the word "chef" for the cook as a real chef was one of our six unlucky enough to have ordered the chicken). did not know that salt or pepper or any other spice existed. My home-made fettuccine was slathered with a meat sauce with no flavor...although hours later I am still feeling whatever it was that I ate (upset stomach). What a waste of food and money...maybe if they take everything off the menu except the beer and burgers they may survive. Sadly, I won't return to see if they take my advise Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.
