An excellent option for brunch in Bozeman. We stopped here while spending a couple of days in town. The host was exceptionally nice and offered us coffee while we waited to be seated on a busy Sunday morning. We got the Breakfast Enchiladas and Huevos Carnitas; both were very good and the portions were generous.

Excellent options including buffalo sausage, gluten free pancakes (and gluten free toast if you'd like), giving you the full range of healthy eating to heart-attack-on-a-plate. It's all delicious. You'll have to wait in line by 9a.m. on a Sunday, but they open early so roll out of bed and get your breakfast on.

Cozy, quaint, restaurant nestled inside the E main building. Friendly staff an atmosphere. Nice decor. Great food highly recommend.

Nom, nom, nom. Good breakfast. Get the eggs benedict and go back to sleep. End of story.

Best place in Bozeman for breakfast. Scratch made. Always fresh. Phenomenal home made Buffalo breakfast sausage

  • Sam B.

This place is amazing!!!!! I had the special of the day, Buffalo Bill's Wild West Huevos. So so delish. It came with bison breakfast sausage (best sausage in the world) and the eggs were cooked perfect. The other members of my group got simple things like omelettes and bacon and eggs. All were satisfied and extremely happy with their food. They were moderately busy and food came quick to the table. Overall service was good. I highly recommend this place!!! Didn't have lunch, but the lunch menu looked good also!

  • Byrhonda L.

Breakfast and lunch are okay. The food isn't too tasty, but it will do the job if you are hungry. Otherwise, you can probably do the same thing at home.

We are regular visitors to Bozeman and I come here every time. This place used to be fantastic but lately it seems to have slipped badly. Went a few weeks ago and it was just so-so. Went today and it was just awful. Egg over-easy was broken and the yoke was hard cooked. Bacon was beyond crisp -- black and inedible. Other items were of poor quality as well. Waitress, after dropping off the food, never came back to check on us; I had to wave her down to get the bill, so there was no chance to send it back.

  • Sandro C.

This is the best breakfast spot that I've been to - and that includes the a East coast. I had the incredible Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. Cozy. Friendly.

  • Paige S.

SO unexpectedly delicious. Stopped by on our way through and it was absolutely the best brunch of our whole road trip across the country. Coffee was great and the smoked salmon Benedict was the best I've ever had (and I always get them). Bison scramble was also phenomenal!!

    (5)
  • Chris M.

It was bland. My grandma would have loved the place though. We got to the restaurant at noon the place only had a couple people in it. The servers acted like we where a hassle coming in just before close but they where open for another couple hours.

Best breakfast I have had in bozeman ! Service was a little lackluster but fortunately the food made up for it

    (4)
  • Heywood J.

Be sure and ask for a window seat so that you can . . . . oh, wait . . never mind. This is a great little greasy spoon diner. Reasonably fast table turnover and service. Very cramped tables. Decent menu, with very large portions of hash browns.

This was our 'last meal' before heading out of Bozeman on this visit. It was a Monday morning around 7am - there were a few customers, but lots of seats available. You have to look to find this place, it's in the back of the building - look for the sign. I enjoyed the huevos rancheros - prepared very nicely. Others enjoyed their meals too. It's a calm and casual breakfast place with a nice menu. Prices were very reasonable and service was quick. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat.

Good Lord!! So good, we ate there 4 times for breakfast during our 5 day stay in Bozeman. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! More than once I had the special "Wild Bill Cody's Bison Biscuits". -Scrambled eggs atop fluffy homemade buttermilk biscuits, topped with homemade Bison Breakfast sausage, bacon and diced ham, smothered with sausage gravy, tomatoes & scallions. Added fresh avocado. So good and large portions. The staff was very friendly and took good care of us. Our group ranged from 3 to 7 during our visit as we brought family to check it out. Very good food and everyone liked their meals.

As a point of reference, I have only had to write a few one-star reviews in my seven years on Yelp. But my experience at Main Street Overeasy has made it overly easy to throw it on that infamous list. The star distribution goes like this: 3/4 of a star for the good hash browns, and the rest for not getting food poisoning. Both meals I've tried there were bland and sub-mediocre. The sausage gravy was completely insipid, the biscuits stale, and for a dish that lists "scrambled eggs" as a component, there was a remarkable dearth of egg on my plate. For $9, you get a large heap of unappetizing food that frankly isn't even worth eating. Want something edible at Main Street Overeasy? Then your best bet is to order Myli's Mess Frittata from The Nova Cafe just down the street and walk it back to Overeasy. That, by the way, will cost you the same amount and will be absolutely sensational compared to the revolting pile of food on the table next to you. If you're looking for good breakfast in Bozeman, you had better look elsewhere. I highly suggest The Nova, Cateye, or the oft-forgotten Storm Castle Cafe.

if you are looking for delicious, simple, traditional breakfast food, this is your place! I ordered the cornmeal pancakes with two eggs. They tasted just like sweet cornbread, but with butter slathered on top and drizzled in syrup.... drool. The Mickey Mouse pancakes looked sooo sweet, but really tempting. I kind of wish I had ordered those! tip: show up before 9 am on Sunday morning, or you will have to wait

    (4)
  • Nicorie S.

I took my two kids out for breakfast and we were told that it would be about a 15-20 minute wait. We waited about 10. They ordered and everything was good. Nice and helpful wait staff, decent prices. Very busy all the time! Things that could make it better: - I'm not keen on its location. It's inside a building space without windows -- except the windows that look out into the hall... Where people that are waiting to be seated can stare and watch you eat... You'd think the owners would consider a larger space as busy as they are.

    (4)
  • Cory Y.

First time being here and I was very impressed! The food was fast, the service was excellent and the owner is every friendly! I has the Bison, Bacon & Biscuits. So good.

  • Kaylee A.

Main Street Overeasy is our favorite place to eat in town! The pancakes are the best I've ever had--so fluffy and delicious! We've tried to get the recipe before...didn't work haha! Everything on this menu is amazing! Husband always gets the chicken fried steak (SO GOOD) and I rotate between the basic breakfast or a mexcian breakfast. Was lucky enough to come in one day when the special was a tamale breakfast and it was the best breakfast I've ever had! Love the ambiance and local feel here! Never get tired of coming :)

    (5)
  • Britt G.

We come here almost every week. Definitely one of the best breakfast restaurants I've ever been to. Great menu, great atmosphere. I always get the Jim Bridget scramble. My significant other always gets the chicken fried steak. Come early--there's often a long wait, but it's worth it!

    (5)
  • Luke B.

It is a good thing they serve good food here, because service is awful! Our waitress did a fair job, but the hostess and bussers were terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a table when I could see open spots, they did not want to give a five person table to three people. Stars are all for food, but not service. Will not be back for a while. Too bad, the burritos are great.

    (2)
  • Marian M.

The food was delicious. We had the biscuits and gravy and the chile rellenos and it was all perfect. Unfortunately the service was excruciatingly slow and some of the food was cold when it finally came out.

    (3)
  • Aaron S.

I am new to Bozeman and I decided to go to Main Street Over Easy and I was not very satisfied with the service. One of the employees was very pushy on us not making a decision right away and she seemed like she was having a bad day. All of the other employees were very friendly and was happy with the food. Hopefully the girl has a better day.

ordered buffalo bill's wild west huevos and boy am i happy i did. we're talking scrambled eggs, homemade bison breakfast sausage, black beans, and green chilies on a flour tortilla, topped with verde and ranchero sauces, salsa, sour cream, tomatoes, and scallions. this tastes exactly like it sounds. delicious. every flavor in perfect proportion, every component freshly prepared. the bison sausage was moist, savory and had just the right amount of spice. it was EXCELLENT and i WILL eat this again. the boyfriend had the jim bridger scramble, which is scrambled eggs and house-made bison sausage on buttermilk biscuits, covered with sausage gravy, cheddar, tomatoes, and scallions. the flavors in this dish were straightforward and surprisingly clean. although very light in color and without pepper, the gravy was quite flavorful and had a smooth consistency i've never experienced before with white gravy. again, the bison sausage was superb and everything was fresh. aside from the poor feng shui of the establishment (cramped, poorly set up table map, no real sense of personality) i say brava!

Hands down the best biscuits I have ever had. Fast, friendly service and the food is top notch. Bring your appetite!

  • Heather M.

Another overrated Bozeman restaurant. The food was average and overpriced, and the service was beyond negligent. Between the two of us, we had the chicken fried steak breakfast, and the Buffalo Bill breakfast. The chicken was a Sysco product, so nothing special about heating up a Sysco chicken and dropping an egg on top of it. The Buffalo Bill Breakfast was a special featuring buffalo sausage and huevos rancheros. The accompanying sauce was bland and the sausage tasted odd half the bites. It actually wasn't a bad meal, just mediocre. The service was terrible. Even though Main Street Overeasy closes at 2, they should have said 1:30, as the entire restaurant and staff was set to go by then. We walked in at 1:25 and we were not the last table to be seated. Our waitress rushed through our order and never checked on us after that. My boyfriend had to refill his own water, and was never offered a second cup of coffee. Coffee that costs $2, by the way. Our waitress, and all the other waitstaff for that matter, sat down in the back and ate their lunch all at the same time. The restaurant was devoid of staff. Our meal was $25, but the service was reminiscent of the service that comes with a $3.50 egg mcmuffin. To be fair, I've had more attentive service from a McDonald's drive-thru.

It isn't any wonder why this culinary experience has been voted the best in Bozeman. Waiting for a table wasn't an isse as they seved coffee, seating was provided and a wonderful shop down the hallway to peruse. The food was quickly prepared and flavors outstanding. We tried something from all partsof the menu. The stuffed French toast, Mickey Mouse pancakes,p chicken fried steak, eggs benedict and scrambles were amazing! We had a table of seven, with children and every thing was spot on. Every order was correct, from the drinks to the entrees, not an easy task with our group. Our server, Jen, was absolutely phenomenal and made a wonderful experience even better. This is not only a must try, but a return trip is mandatory, thanks so very much Main Street Overeasy!

    (5)
  • rachelle h.

We always stop here when we are in Bozeman. Get the bison scramble or the stuffed French toast. This place is great!

Main Street Overeasy is the kind of place I dream about finding in new towns when on the road. You knew the food was good as there was a line and the line proved true, the food was great! It is a small but clean and cozy space with a comfortable, laid back vibe. There is a colorful easy to read daily special board. The coffee was great and the OJ was average. I sipped on both as I scanned a great menu. So many choices! I selected a Yellowstone scrambler (I think that was the name) with bison sausage, eggs, vegetables and hollandaise sauce. It was so flavorful and nutritious! To counterbalance the healthiness I had one pancake on the side with strawberries. Also great! So darn good we tried to go on Sunday also, wish we had as our other restaurant choice wasn't even close to this one!

  • Elizabeth B.

One of my favorite places for breakfast in Montana! The atmosphere is always fun and the food is delicious. How do they get their pancakes so fluffy?!

    (5)
  • Bess B.

Awesome brunch. Totally worth the wait! I had the huevos carnitas and would highly recommend it!

    (5)
  • Stephanie M.

So so for breakfast. Was a little disappointed in the hollandaise sauce and their gravy. They claim to both be homemade but it tasted straight out of the can from Sysco. But if IHOP is to busy it's not a bad alternative.

  • Willem O.

This is by far the best bang for your buck in town. The portions are huge, the price is right, and its just the sort of brunch food you are looking for (eggs, cheese, biscuits, chicken fried steaks) - quintessential diner food. Every town needs one and we are lucky to have this one. Lines can be pretty huge on the weekends but they offer free coffee in the hallway. I like going on weekdays, by myself, and just sitting at the bar - you can be served straight away and build an appetite while watching all those huge plates of food are ready to be served. Overall, great place.

  • Ry P.

Delicious breakfast, strong coffee, fresh eggs, best biscuits and gravy ever, to die for fresh local hash browns...basically everything is amazing. Try the bison sausage!

    (5)
  • Nicole B.

Have always loved this place. They make great food and give plenty of it. Definitely get what you pay for. I bring all my out-of-state visitors here and they agree.

    (5)
  • Melody L.

Was here for brunch on a sunday, the wait was a little long (but not to the point of annoyance), and there was delicious coffee in the lobby! I got the corned beef hash with poached eggs and it was amazing!!

Just spent four days in Bozeman looking at MSU with my HS senior and sophomore. First let me say I LOVE YELP!! Best way to find those little "gems" in a new town. I've used it in several cities over the past year. This place is a true hole in the wall.... In all the good ways. Food was great as was the service.

    (4)
  • Katlyn G.

I was stoked about my meal, my counter part seemed to enjoy hers. Food service was a little slow for the place not being busy, but they did keep our glasses full which is always a huge bonus in my book. Decent prices and tasty food.

    (4)
  • Randy S.

I was able to walk in and get a table without waiting, but that was pure luck. As soon as I sat down the wait line started. And for good reason. This is a good breakfast joint. Unusual options make this an unordinary place. I did find my portion of eggs and bison meat scramble to rather small for the price, maybe two eggs instead of three, but it was definitely good! The coffee was good, too, and that's always a consideration at breakfast for me.

    (4)
  • Jewels B.

Food is great, especially their hand pattied bison sausage. Generous portions. Only have four stars since it doesn't look out onto the mountains or downtown, but food and service are top notch!

    (4)
  • Chris L.

Very mediocre, both for food and service. Almost rude waitstaff, and unfriendly 'regulars' made for an interesting breakfast.

    (2)
  • Carrie K.

Nice little niche in the wall. We had the huevos carnitas and I had to tie my hair back cause I don't think I came up for air. The pulled pork was so juicy and flavorful. The salsa was the best I've ever had. And huge chunks of green chiles and verde sauce. We also got one pancake. It's was huge. And little crispy right on the edges. Perfect. The waitresses weren't the friendliest or most helpful but I can easily overlook thy with how good the food is

    (5)
  • Candis D.

It's "Local"....if you're visiting Bozeman, Montana and want to eat where the locals eat...don't miss Main Steet Overeasy. Located in historic downtown Bozeman, it's our "go to" place. Make sure you're hungry - portions are generous! My fave list includes: vegie omelet, chile releno or any of the Mex-breakfasts, and anything w/ bison sausage. Be prepared for a wait, but it's worth it. Arrive before 8, and it's not bad!

    (5)
  • Rosanna Y. D.

Main Street Over Sleazy - that is what we call this place at our house. That said, if Nova is full and you have no other options, this greasy place with no windows will do when you need a hangover cure.

    (3)
  • Lauren M.

Bozeman has so many breakfast restaurants, but this is definite top 3. All-American food items with a Montana flair (bison sausage, yessss). I love eating here, so why the 4 stars? Overpriced menu. My fiancé likes this place less than I do because of that, so I end up not frequenting the establishment as much as I'd like.

  • Kendall A.

Wow - what a fantastic place! Friendly staff, great food - the choices made it really tough. We were seated immediately and had ice water and coffee within seconds. When I asked for Splenda she brought in right away - it's normally on the tables, ours was just out. We had looked over the menu the night before online, and I was looking forward to eggs benedict, but then I saw the vegetarian version: instead of ham, they heap on asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and artichoke hearts - YUM! Others at the table got huevos rancheros and a standard eggs/bacon/hash browns breakfast. My hubby always asks for bacon extra crispy, which often results in interesting fare. This time, it was perfect - crispy bacon, not burned, not limp, just perfect. Everything was reported to be wonderful, and mine was delectable. The server and the hostess kept a sharp eye on our water glasses and our coffee. They were extremely efficient and knew what they were doing. Not particularly happy - no smiles this morning, but I can't fault them for that. She did give good advice on the benedict, and that's better than a smile. We decided to split a cinnamon roll at the end - WOW! They make them each morning, apparently, and it was truly melt in your mouth delicious. Every part of it was gorgeously tasty. As we paid, I noticed a berry rhubarb coffee cake - if I had seen that I would have had that instead, I bet it was DELICIOUS!!! I would absolutely, unreservedly recommend this place and I'd go there often if we lived here. Yum central!

Good service, good eats! Why spend money on a chain IHOP or Perkins when you can get a large, extra tasty breakfast from Main Street Overeasy! This place is a happening spot so get there early or prepared to wait a little bit. Nothing fancy but good food and good service.

    (4)
  • Artnok A.

decent. Great Specials. Seemingly one of the few spots for breakfast/lunch on this main drag - and for good reason. This place was populated by more than a few locals. I was pleased with the "standard" breakfast that I ordered. I would recommend this spot to others, surely.

  • Brian D.

Tasty breakfast and fast service. Ate here while visiting my sister in Bozeman and plan to eat here each time I visit moving forward. The Grizzly Killer not only has a great name (I hate UM), but is a huge breakfast.

  • C T.

Great food. Nice design. Price is also quite friendly. My steak was nicely done. Great bison sausage which is moist, full of flavor, and without being way too dry. The gravy on the biscuits was very nice too. I even saved the left over gravy for my hashbrown. The scramble eggs... Ok and not dry.. But comparing with the steak, bison sausage, and the gravy... The scramble eggs are just ok.

Discovered this place on a recent trip to Montana when I asked a local where I should go for breakfast. I was so grateful they send me here! We sat at the counter so we could watch all the action in the kitchen. The servers were as nice as could be and didn't make me feel bad when I asked for the "Bison, bacon and biscuits" minus the sausage gravy. The pancakes were heavenly, and I have never in my life seen a bigger chicken fried steak. All around a great way to start my first visit to the treasure state.

Thank you Yelp! We were Bozeman over the weekend and looking for a little something more than the free breakfast at the Residence Inn. Breakfast is tough for me as I have an allergy to wheat. We found the Main Street Overeasy on yelp and trucked on over. 3 of us had the Enchiladas that were fantastic! My dad, the one who thinks the free breakfast is fantastic, had the Basic Breakfast. The food, coffee and service was great. We didn't feel rushed out the place either. Double thumbs up from this traveling family!!

Was it a coincidence that the night before breakfasting at Main Street Overeasy in Bozeman, Montana we happened to watch an episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" on the Food Network, an episode that featured The Metro Diner in Jacksonville, Florida and his decadent, almost obscenely stuffed french toast? Or was it fate? Without the recent viewing of that monstrosity, we may not have ordered Main Street Overeasy's delicious, if slightly subtler and healthier, version of the stuffed breakfast classic. MSO's was hearty without regret, decadent (new word) without being gross. The creamy filling was just the right amount to turn the white bread french toast (sliced at just the right thickness) into custard, and the sliced strawberry topping gave it a refreshing, classy edge. I should also mention the vegetarian eggs benedict -- a regular menu offering, not a special request they were willing to make on our behalf, mind you. Based on the meaty classic, MSO's veggie eggs benedict did not transcend into a new dish altogether, but maintained the traditional look and feel. It even came with the standard steak knife, though the dish of course had none of the rubbery Canadian bacon. Read more reviews from the road: veggieroadfood.com

Most overrated food in Bozeman. I've always seen lines out the door for Main St over easy so I figured it'd be worth my time. I was wrong. First of all they told us it'd be a 15 minute wait. After 30 minutes we had to remind the staff that we were even there. We finally got seated at a tiny table in an extremely crowded dining room. Super uncomfortable when you're plate has to lean on someone else's just to fit on the table. I was undecided on what to get so I asked the waitress what she thought of the blueberry pancakes. She said that people said they were "the best in town". Well I don't know what people were telling her this but they were wrong. The pancakes were pretty standard and didn't even have good blueberries in them. The part that disappointed me the most about the whole experience? The fact that my blueberry pancakes tasted like the onions and peppers that were cooked before my meal. They CLEARLY did not clean the griddle before making my meal PLUS there were pieces of peppers and onions in my pancakes. Not the best flavor to mix with fruit and sugar. After all was said and done I paid 13 bucks for a breakfast that wasn't worth 10. I don't know if people here in Bozeman have bad taste or are just too loyal to old habits, but I would never recommend Main St Over Easy to anyone.

Ordered chili relleno breakfast burrito. Never heard of such a thing but was awesome!! This place is a keeper and will come back when I'm back in Bozeman!

My BF and were driving through town and wanted a good breakfast before we hit the road for Spokane. I looked up places on Yelp and found Main Street Over Easy. Boy, the reviews were on point with how tasty the food was and how friendly the staff was. The bison sausage is out of this world tasty! I had the Wild Bill special and my BF had the bison biscuits and gravy scramble. So good! It's Heaven in a plate!

  • Tom S.

Fantastic breakfast spot. Quick, delicious, great service, and everything you need to get started in the morning. Their Mexican breakfasts are great: try the huevos carnitas or buffalo bill's Wild West huevos if you like green chile and some good stick to your ribs food. I was in town for three days and found something tasty there every morning. I guess I could've tried somewhere else, but if it ain't broke...

Seriously good food, all homemade and fresh. I visit everytime I'm in town. My fav is biscuits and gravy!

After going to Main Street Overeasy the first morning for breakfast we were in Bozeman, we returned for two more breakfasts. The service is wonderful and the food is delicious especially the homemade bison sausage and local potatoes for hash browns. Nothing more to say since we returned two more times...delicious!

I just had the most amazing Oregon blueberry pancake that I've ever had in my life. Fluffy and flavorful. This place always serves delicious breakfast and you can never go wrong by ordering one of their specials. The wait staff is very friendly and the food is awesome

    (5)
  • Jake M.

I had one of there specials for the day. The Oregon Blueberry Pancakes were on point but the service was sub par. I completely understand if this was just an off day but it is still disappointing. I've been here twice before and it was the same. If they get another waiter/waitress this is a 5 star.

Our Favorite Breakfast/Brunch place in town. Usually crowded, with a little wait. Great menu. I love their chicken fried steak and eggs. One place my wife and I both love. Friendly staff.... Always some interesting daily "specials", so read the chalk board when you come in.

This is one helluva breakfast joint. Everything I have had here is excellent. Not from frou frou, fancy or anything like that. Just no frills, unpretentious, rib-sticking deliciousness. The pancakes are large, fluffy, and delicious. They come sprinkled with a dusting of powdered sugar with a scoop of butter on top. The Grizzly Killer features one of the largest country fried (or chicken fried) steaks I have ever eaten. It takes up the whole plate and is excellent - juicy, flavorful, tender, with a crispy breading topped with plenty of gravy. The biscuits are also terrific - fluffy and flavorful. The bison sausage patties are also very good. Well-seasoned, and very hearty. Even the bacon is excellent here- nice and thick, and cooked perfectly crispy. Service is fast and friendly. My favorite breakfast spot in Bozeman.

  • Mary D.

The best breakfast we have had in two weeks of travel. Pros: delicious, quick, quality ingredients Cons: none What we ordered: the Yellowstone bison scramble (but with over easy eggs, duh) and the special, a Buffalo Bill Benedict. Both of us loved the bison sausage, and the country fried steak was delicious as well. Wish we lived closer. The biscuits are a must have also.

Yum. If you've read any of my past reviews, you'll know I'm not a huge breakfast fan. But clearly Main Street is trying to convert me. Quick, friendly service, willing to seat large parties, even when they're busy. Decent prices, HUGE portions, tasty food. On my most recent trip, I had a make your own omelet with spinach, cheese avocado (that was extra) and some veggies. So good and soooo big. I couldn't even eat half. I had also expected the avocado to be in my omelet but it was a half avocado on the side, seasoned with salt & pepper. Nice! Coffee is decent and also unlimited which is cool.

This busy diner is big on smiles and delicious food! Got the Yellowstone Scramble with bison sausage and it was incredible! The coffee is from Yellowstone Coffee and it is delicious!! I'm from DC and I feel mighty welcome here in the wild mountainous west at this little place!

This place has awesome food. There was a classic car show going on with a lot of people. We decided to have breakfast here. The service and food were outstanding. Well worth a short wait. Five star food hands down!!!

This place easily rivals my favorite breakfast places in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, a difficult feat. We had a wonderful breakfast here on a Saturday morning - the wait was about 20 minutes but went by quickly after browsing at the cute shop next door. They also have a little coffee station so you can stay warm while you wait and the coffee is very good (some kind of locally-roasted fancy stuff - even the decaf was very rich and tasty). My huevos carnitas was DELICIOUS. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The presentation was funny - it was all piled up in a big messy pile, the green sauce was running into the hash browns a little, and there was a big gap on the plate that sort of made it look a little disappointing (should something else be there? Is that for my ketchup?) but the FLAVORS were just RIGHT. ON. Who cares about presentation when the food is just GOOD??! Tender, flavorful pulled pork, black beans, melted cheese, two eggs any style, salsa, chiles, sour cream and the pretty runny green sauce which was the best part. I mopped up that green sauce and had to stop myself from licking the plate. Love the hash browns so I can feel like I get the best of Mexican and American breakfasts at the same time. My husband ordered the corned beef hash and eggs, served with hash browns and toast, and it was very good (but couldn't touch the huevos carnitas.) The texture of the hash was a bit too mushy for my liking but he enjoyed it. They have lots of options for toast (English muffins, etc.) which is nice. Huge portions, too, which you come to expect when you're paying $10+ for breakfast. The restaurant is tiny and always completely packed, it seems - it's a feat that the waitresses can even get between the tables - but it's very warm and clean, and diners should feel cozy, in my opinion. The service was very friendly and fast, but not rushed (nice, considering how long of a wait there always is.) Despite the tiny restaurant, there was room for a high chair for our baby. Hope they can get a larger space soon so more people can eat here at once and make sure they stay in business - it's wonderful. Highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast in Bozeman. I lived there for 13 years and this place was a main staple. Affordable, sizable portions that are simple and good. My favorite dishes are (in no particular order): the stuffed french toast --you can get a half order if you aren't feeling like being a total pig, the pulled pork huevos verde (OMG, this is amazing and worth every calorie), and the cornmeal pancakes --simple goodness. They don't have latte's, nor do they have a selection of gluten-free baked goods. If those are a must for you then head to Nova.

Food was pretty good, nothing spectacular but that could be my fault as I didn't order anything that would warrant a spectacular review. Service was prompt, food came out quick and people were friendly. Will come back.

Oh yes, as good as it gets is right! Wonderful food, fast service, friendly atmosphere. I have lived here for 15 years and breakfast doesn't get any better in this town. The kitchen is run like a well oiled machine. Waitstaff aim to please!! Love my town, love my Main Street Overeasy! Don't leave this place without a homemade cinnamon roll!

I've been here twice while visiting and the breakfast is great. On this last visit I had a Bison scramble that was just amazing. The service is pretty good and the portions are sizeable. This is the type of place where I want to eat breakfast every day and be a regular at. I will make sure to go here everytime I go to Bozeman.

Outstanding, creative breakfasts. I had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, spinach, and artichoke and loved it. Seemed like a locals place where the servers knew everyone else but us visitors. Pleasant, speedy service. Would go here all the time if I lived in Bozeman and will go there for breakfast when I'm back again.

If you love breakfast you can fall in love with this place. I am not going to even mention one single item on the menu (look at some other reviews below for customer favs if you want) because they are all really good. I would almost consider each one to be one of the best that you'll find anywhere in its given category! (Ok, Ok, I WILL mention the stuffed waffles, they ARE the best you'll find!!) Impressive cleanliness and obvious care in preparation and presentation. I ran into someone in town a few years back who told me that the owner/chef is actually a Culinary Institute trained chef, it shows in the menu creation and meals you get here. Guess what, lunch ain't bad either! (ie., its "Crazy Good") When in Bozeman, do not miss MSOE!

The food was good not great. I would have given a 4 but the waitresses was more busy talking to friends than waiting on us.

A great place for breakfast or lunch. This place has a great local feel and a non-hipster attitude. Many of the cooks are on a work-release program which is a good service to the community. More of a native place and not a LA wannabe feel.

Time for breakfast and was wanting something bison with eggs. Hit the Overeasy and was not disappointed, great service, big portions for a fair price. BTW the biscuits are pretty good too, do yourself a favor and skip all the other places and just go to Overeasy!

The Mexico Breakfast Enchilada, is delicious. This very busy place gets the food out quickly and the waitstaff is efficient and friendly. I have never had a bad meal here. Try it, you'll like it!

We walked by this place the first time around. It's tucked in the back of a building. Definately worth finding. I had their special buffalo scramble which was pretty good. It's a lot of food. It was good not great, good portion sizes for the price. Coffee wasn't special - for me having a really good cup of joe in the morning really makes a breakfast. I felt I had to go to a coffee shop down the street to get a good cup of coffee.

Im pretty new to the area so I went here with my family recently. The restaurant is in a building without windows or natural light, kind of a dreary, sad little place. The coffee tasted like cleaning solution of some sort, couldnt figure it out, we must of had a bad batch. Like another review I read, the hollandaise tasted like mayo and my poached eggs were beyond over cooked. However, its the only place in town Ive found that serves a veggie benedict, thats the only plus side. The Corned beef hash is clearly served out of a can. If all you do is serve breakfast & a few lunch items, cant you take the time to actually add home made items to your menu?

After seeing review's went to have breakfast on 12/30/2011, best breakfast I have had in Montana the last 3 weeks that we have been here. I had the Bison Sausage and it was the best sausage I think I have ever had. Breakfast was a little pricey but I still would tell you to try it.

We're not locals anymore but still spend summers in Montana. Just arrived last night, decided on Main Street Overeasy for Sunday breakfast. We wanted high-quality food and no fake bull____. Got that. We sat at the counter so could see the interaction of the whole team, which was courteous and competent, a smooth-running machine. Servers all professional and genuinely friendly (no fakey smiles). Our poached eggs and hashbrowns were perfectly cooked. Thumbs up on Overeasy.

One of the best breakfast places we have been to. Yellowstone scramble was excellent. A little bit of a wait on Saturday morning, but worth the wait.
