Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Service was good but I was very disappointed that they don't have the Tortilla Pizzas on the menu like other Salsarita's. Won't be going back. The pizzas are the only the only thing that set Salsarita's apart from Moe's or Chipotle.

Delicious Hispanic food close to home. I still miss the Mexican gumbo that Qdoba makes but this is definitely flavorful and delicious as well.

Great service and food! Blows Chipotle out of the water when it comes to price, amount of food, and service. PLUS...quac is free!

Great Mexican food. Styled like qdoba and chipotle, but the food is definitely Mexican. Mexican rice, refried beans, tacos, chips, salsa, fresh guacomole all served in this little place to eat. The price is hard to beat with most meal cost around $7. Dare I say this is better than chipotle.

Food is always fresh and my son loves it.

The service was good. Went when they first opened. My kids loved it, I felt like we could have more flavor in the taco meat at Taco Bell.

Came here with coworkers Election Day (we had training). It was jam packed but worth it. It was Tuesday an their deal of the day was a small quesadilla for $5. I was not sure how big their small quesadilla would be so I also ordered a small shrimp taco. Honestly I should've just gotten the quesadilla because even the small was huuuuuge!! It is like Booyahs (and apparently Swankys but cheaper) in that you direct the workers with what to put on your food in an assembly line. I like it better than Booyah's so far. Their tacos are apparently cold, so I don't really wanna get those again (unless it's just the shrimp tacos that are cold?) but they cook their quesadillas. BTW if you like salsa on your quesadilla you may want to ask for it on the side (or inside and on the side) as it all seems to dissipate when they cook it. Oh and the mixed veggies cost an extra buck unless you're getting vegetarian, of course. So I was a little sad about that. All in all it was a good experience and I would come back. Like: Chicken Quesadilla small (still huge) Dislike: Shrimp Taco

Was looking for something good to eat and couldn't find it around my neighborhood. We trekked over to MS and found this spot. Clean, friendly and fresh. The decor was cool and once you hit the door they were on you HARD with the hello's, is it your first time here etc. I got the old standby - 2 tacos combo. Food was not old nor was it bland. Fresh chips n salsa. All I needed was some good tequila but hey - Can't win em all! Would go back again!!

Reasonably priced, fair quality Tex-Mex food. This place reminds me a lot of Moe's and Qdoba. It definitely helps that they have a loyalty/rewards program, and you also get $10 worth of food on your birthday when you sign up (pick up a card from their restaurant to register on their website). When I'm in Southaven craving something with higher quality than Taco Bell, count on me going here.

Good Tex-mex food in a pinch. I like it better than Swanky's or Qdoba. They have have the standard fare, burrito bowls, nachos, tacos, taco salads, and burritos. They have serve a limited selection of beer.

I came in yesterday after a long day at Snowden Grove Baseball Complex and was very happy with my decision. I would consider this place better than Swanky's, Booyah's and Moe's. I had the Quesorito with a side of chips and quac. I believe the chips and quac were the best choice. The fresh chips are amazingly fresh. thin and crispy with a little seasoning, perfect for the quac which was surprisingly fresh and very good. I actually got some to take home as their ad on the table suggested. My burrito was good but the only complaint I would have is that some of the ingredients were cold. No biggie because I still enjoyed my meal more than I expected to. Seeing that I am at Snowden every weekend, I will be back!

Ohhh my goodness. The SMALL burrito is the size of a SOFTBALL!! This place is awesome! The guacamole is chunky and fresh, definitely worth a visit!

Food was tasty, but it reminds me of a Subway with Mexican food. My wife hated the margaritas because they were not strong enough. There was a nice lunch crowd, but easy to find a seat

I would not recommend this restaurant. I got a burrito covered with queso and everything was cold. It was a cold burrito covered in cold cheese, not good. I asked if it could be reheated and apparently they don't have a microwave. The guacamole needed salt too. Not worth $10-$12.
