The best boiled shrimp ever! Don't let the price stop you because it's enough for two. Great french fries, sweet potatoes and salad. Everything is great!

By far, hands down, the best steaks around! Consistently good food, overly generous portions, great drinks and always a more than fair price. It's been mentioned before, don't be fooled by the looks of the building... Inside that unassuming store front awaits the best meal in Randolph County. Worth seeking out if you are nearby... and if there's a wait? Grab a drink and stay, you won't regret it. **cash only**

I can't say enough about this place! Don't be fooled by the appearance and size or by the fact that you walk past a sink in the hallway to get to your table. The food is awesome! The rib eye melts in your mouth and Mike is bang on with his temperatures! The portions are huge! Enough for a meal the day after. I always get the surf and turf with the huge Gulf shrimp(12+) on your plate and my husband gets the prime rib. I would put Lula's steak against any high end steak house any day!

Talk about your out of the way places. Stumbled on Lula's a few years back. I've been there three times now and it's better every time. Don' t be put off by the appearance as I almost was. Dark road, cross some railroad tracks and you see a seedy looking tavern on your left. Really? I'm going to go in there? Why? To get my ass kicked? Yes, you've arrived. There are only about 5 or 6 items on the menu, all done up tavern style. Ribeye, shrimp, ribs, a cheeseburger the size of a catcher's mitt. You get the idea. All the portions are obscene. Baked potatoes on steroids. I went with 5 stars because for this type of place it really doesn't get any better. That said, a caveat, if you're the type of diner put off by less than fine accommodations don't go here. If dining at a dive bar (Blackthorn) turns your stomach, stay away. If walking through a narrow hall where the restrooms are to get to the dining room and having to be careful not to crack your hip on the sink sitting out in the hall is going to ruin your meal, go somewhere else. You've been warned. On the other hand, if you consider yourself more of a hearty diner and you ever find yourself in Moberly...
