Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Met a fellow Yelper here for dinner on Tuesday, her suggestion but neither of us had been here before. Ended up being a great choice! She had the arancini and was kind enough to let me try one. I am not a fan of dairy, and it was a ball of cheese and rice on a cream sauce so not my thing. I can understand why people like them though. I had the stacked salad and it was delicious! It was a nice blend of flavor and textures, presented beautifully. I considered posting a picture but I'm not a good photographer and there is already a picture of it. Highly recommend this salad! For dinner, I had the tagliatelle bolognese and it did not disappoint. They make their pasta in house so it has that fresh egginess with the slightly chewy consistency that I love. The sauce was a lovely and not-too-heavy meat sauce that hugged the noodles nicely. I ate my fill and took enough home for another meal. I was too full for dessert, and all of their desserts were dairy based so nothing demanded to be eaten. To top it all off, our server Tom was fantastic and they were playing some really nice Frank Sinatra music. I just couldn't go five stars because of the dining room set up. The tables are awkwardly placed and so close together that my dining companion was treated to a graphic description of dental implants before I arrived.

Three stars only because two and a half stars aren't an option. Last time my husband and I went here, it was just okay. But I wanted to see if a return visit would be better. I didn't like our table at all. Right near the entrance, and imo, a table shouldn't even be there. It felt like we were at the card table at the relatives' house. I don't rate a restaurant based only on their service, but our server was practically MIA. I had the Chicken Marsala and for the price, I should have loved it. I didn't. This is a wonderful location. In a beautiful new shopping area. The interior designer did a beautiful job. I love Cafe Napoli in Clayton! I'll stick with Napoli in Clayton.

Fantastic experience. Greeting was warm and wonderful. Place is clean and sleek. Nice decor. Outside patio is a delight. Service is attentive, professional and courteous. The owner is friendly, present and interested in providing for an enjoyable evening. Plenty of warm bread. Lovely salads. Amazing fresh pastas. The steak and veal ...awesome! Seafood is sumptuous. Desserts delightful. Love this westco gem!

This is my all time favorite Italian restaurant in Town and Country. The ambiance is romantic and unique. Perfect for a date night or "just because". I recommend the Eggplant Parm. It's unbelievable. The portions are large, so be prepared to take some home... If you can stop yourself from gorging! :)

One of my favorite west county restaurants. A great place for special occasions. Wish I could come here for more frequent occasions. Josette is a great server and guide to meet your palette desires. Good drinks and wines. My fifth visit. I'll be back!

Third time and fantastic service every time. You cannot go wrong, fresh Choice pieces of fish and meat. The chef here is a very good at going to market and picking the best ingredients. Had the Seabass and the scallops they were superb!

I went to Napoli 2 for the first time for my birthday recently. Eh! Good food, but a bit uncomfortable. The scene is just a little off for me. They have an odd light that I noticed as soon as I entered the restaurant. The light in the center of the restaurant changes colors every few minutes (green, blue, something else?). While I don't know everything about fine dining, I feel I am a pretty perfect representation of the general population, and it struck me as odd. Next is the service, which is somewhat hard for me to describe. My server was nice, knowledgeable, and so on, BUT I constantly felt that I was treated as if I was slightly less important than the 40+ aged crowd around me. So if you're 40+, perfect!! Oh, by the way, I had a gift card, which I always feel awkward about using at a "nice" place. I think waiters often get screwed tips when gift cards are involved. Anyway, I didn't distinctly notice any odd response to me whipping that out, so that is always good. The food, I must admit, was pretty good. I had the arincini for my appetizer, which is basically fried risotto balls (I didn't know what they were initially, so no one else knows either, right?). Veal marsala for my meal, also not too shabby. The drinks were as expected, but you can't really screw up a jack and coke too badly. My advice, give it a shot and write about it on Yelp! You might love it. I prefer Napoli to Napoli 2, and I'll probably hit some new destinations before returning.

If you love pasta, this should be your favorite place! The pasta is handmade and the sauces are truly fabulous. My faves are the agnolotti and the tortelloni. Don't pass on the aranchini appetizer, offered in different flavors. Try them all! Steaks and seafood are also superb. Service has always been great, too, and the outdoor patio is a plus on a warm evening.

I don't know why people say this is not a good place for kids , I drag my 4 yo daughter and 3 month old son everywhere we go. My son had the nutramigen formula that we brought with us. ( no corking fee) and my daughter had some spaghetti with bolognese meat sauce that they made a tiny special plate for. She was able to choose her sauce , and type of noodle. Both made in house , yes the pasta was hand rolled . She loved it and the bread with olive oil. The waiter also had a 4 year old and accommodated her perfectly and talked to her in a kind and genuine tone. We had crab cakes , caprisi salad and toasted ravs for apps, I had the swordfish over risotto and the wifey had pan seared scallops with sauce on the side. She didn't care for the sauce , good thing it was on the side and her scallops were delicious and cooked perfectly. My boss and his wife had the same as us. Everybody loved their meals and the service. A bit pricey at $280 for 4 adults , not including drinks. So I wouldn't call it a great or even decent value. But if you're not concerned with price, it's a nice place with great service and consistently good food.
