Whoo! Color me hoosier but I love Jack in the box. Perhaps it is because it reminds me of high school or just easier times, but Jack in the box is amazing. If you ever find yourself hungry after a night of drinking, two tacos and a jumbo jack will treat you right. Also, I think they have some of the best breakfast goodies anywhere. Remember that this is not a culinary powerhouse but good fast food.

I ordered a combo for dine in . They were not super busy but the dining room was about half full. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes waiting for my order to get ready. More new customers came up to the counter so I got out of the way and went and sat down around the corner from the counter. After waiting a total of 10 minutes I went back up to the counter to check on my order and found that it was bagged up sitting behind the counter. She said "oh here you go sir" and handed it to me. No one bothered to let me know that my order was ready when I was sitting 10 feet away from the counter.

had the most ridiculous experience at this Jack in the box restaurant. I was denied service and threatened with police call if did no leave their property after I tried to order my meal through their drive-thru. Me: " Can I get the #14 special please". Cashier: "speak louder". Me: "Can I get the #14 special please" Cashier: "I still didn't get that". Me: " Can I get the #14 ckicken fajeta pita special" in a louder tone followed by the word "please" and he said "l asked you to be loud not to yell". I said " I didn't yell, I just spoke louder per your asking", he was still accusing me of yelling and said he was refusing me service and ordered me to leave their property. So I called 911 just to report the incident. When the officer arrived the manager came out and without discussing the issue, sided with her employee and pushed all the blames toward me. Please avoid going to this location as the staff is very unprofessional and rude to foreigners.

I went to another place for lunch and ordered a sandwich and soft drink. $10. The sandwich was really a slider not a sanwich. So I was still hungry and ordred a couple of taco's. Man it has been years since I had one of their taco's. In fact Jack in the Box taco is the first taco I have ever ate about 40 years ago. I did not know they were not all deep fried when St. Louis went upsacale with Taco Bell. This is a smallish place good service and solid food. Really was nice for a change.

A creepy St. Louis tradition was started whenever I visited St. Louis, long before Harold and Kumar visited White Castles. (That which I thought there were more of, but I only saw one, and I was driving too fast to stop.) A friend of my son said, "Man, you gotta eat at White Castles and Jack in the Box in St. Louis," before I left Kansas City. Having not had any junk food for 2 weeks, and seeing where there aren't that many of either restaurant, I searched in Mr. Garmin, and found this Jack in the Box, which was 4 miles south of the hotel. I do believe this would've been more fun had I been more like Harold and Kumar, I mean some things taste better in that situation. Jack In the Box is munchy food. They server breakfast all day long...I can already see it, "Dude, let's eat pancakes," at uh, 11:00 at night. They serve tacos, and they serve sirloin burgers that are square. They serve chicken. Dull french fries.....I'm so certain that this food can be enjoyed in a different mind set. The restaurant is very clean. I ordered a plain with cheese sirloin burger. The only places I eat hamburgers from actual dead cows are sometimes McDonalds, and Swaggers and such. The word sirloin made it sound kind of gross, in Jack in the Box. The girl at the front desk, though, when I ordered my sirloin burger with cheese plain, she replied, "what what what?" And I said, "huh?" And she said, "What?" So I ordered it again, making it more clearer...(I don't eat sirloin, that is so gross to call it a cheeseburger a sirloin burger.). 105.7 the point was advertising JITB all day long. They made it sound great. And it was awe-right. it wasn't fire. Probably not worth going out of my way again, but it did continue the St. Louis tradition.
