Ok, I am not a huge fan of "hole in the wall" diners, but this place is very great! The establishment is not a Denny's or one of those big chain restaurants, however, the service is excellent, and next to Hodak's, some of the best fried chicken you will ever have in the St. Louis metro area. My mom kept ranting and raving about this place so I had to try it. The place on the outside looked run down and the place could use a lot of TLC on the inside. They also do not accept debit cards or credit card payments. It is strictly cash only. However, you can get a half fried chicken dinner for $6.99. That is fairly cheap. The portions for your sides are also fairly huge. I also had a hankering of dessert, so I ended up having a piece of peanut butter pie. It was ok, but for the price, I have had more expensive desserts. I highly recommend Chris' diner if you are curious about small restaurants.

Love, Love, absolutely Love this place. It's a small spot, but the food is awesome. When I think of down home breakfast places, this hit it for me! The food is made fresh to order and the portions are huge. The flavors are spot on. Made me feel like I was at home. The biscuits and gravy are a must. Bacon was thick and cooked just right. I loved the sweet tea as well. When I go back to St. Louis for a visit, this is my breakfast spot everyday I'm there....lol

Excellent breakfast, great prices, small whole in the wall Diner. Beats all the corporate chains

Had to go out to a business meeting in Arnold this morning - didn't get breakfast when I left, and happened to need to stop by the Dollar store next door to pick up some items when I spotted this little hole in the wall place. Certainly nothing fancy, a typical "Greasy Spoon, but they served up a great breakfast... For $7.95 - 2 Eggs, Biscuits and Gravy, Home Fries, and Toast. Sweet Tea was sweetened just right. Waitresses were very friendly, and service was excellent. If I ever find myself in Arnold again near breakfast time, I won't hesitate to stop in again. Helpful tip - they do not accept Credit or Debit cards - Cash Only.

Friendly service, good food and cheap prices. Worth a try for sure!! Cash only, so be prepared. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. Pancakes are huge and the bacon is crisp. I hope they're around for awhile!!

In the heart of Arnold, you'll find this little hoosier roost that knows how to serve up a good breakfast. Looking for something fancy? Look somewhere else. Looking for a great, filling breakfast the way mom used to make it? Looking for 1970's style paneling? Look no further. This is a classic truck stop, but without the trucks or 24-hour service. I had a breakfast sandwich (choice of meat, egg, cheese on your choice of toast) for just $1.69? McDonald's can just barely keep their prices this low. Be warned, though, there are only seats for 20 or 30 in here, so you may have to wait for a seat on weekends. Surprisingly, too, nobody was smoking in here. I kept looking for a No Smoking sign, but there wasn't one - I still don't get it. The signs say they are open for lunch and dinners on Fri-Sat (all-you-can-eat catfish for $9.50). Pretty sure there's never liquor.
