Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

We pulled in for lunch off Hiway 14 headed East. Mankato seemed too soon, Waseca just right. Checked Yelp! and El Molino was #1. Now we know why. Terrific meal. Chili Rellenos is the Big Test. If a restaurant can do that right everything else can't help but be good and authentic. That proved to be true here. Wow! Do yourself a favor. We're from metro-DC and enjoy lots of Latin American options - Mexican, Honduran, Salvadoran, Peruvian. The chef in Waseca would do well in DC.

I'm normally not a fan of Mexican food, but this place is awesome! Huge portions made with fresh ingredients. I've NEVER been disappointed in all the times I've eaten here. The service is friendly and fast. And the margaritas are out of this world!

Being from California I must say I was not expecting the food to be as delicious as it was! I ordered the California burrito. Beans & rice perfectly cooked! Carne asada cooked great, it fell apart perfectly & was flavored really well! The salsa was good too! I only wish they served horchata, but the food definitely made up for it! The prices were more than affordable. The portions are big so be prepared to bring left overs home! Definitely will be back for more!

We were a group of 16 - all ages. One waiter managed the entire seating with grace. He brilliantly accommodated the children first, there were four under 8. The rest of the meal went perfectly - no send-backs or unhappy diners! I wish this restaurant were closer to home.

Food was fantastic tonight! I had the Mexican Tacos with carnitas and corn tortillas- will definitely order that again! The chips and salsa at the beginning of the meal are also consistently good. They make an excellent salsa that I've actually purchased and taken some home. The service is always good as well.

Simply amazing. I had combo #3 and it was just amazing the flavor and texture of everything was perfect. The chimi bites were very very good as well. The rice and beans are just to die for. The atmosphere is good it's not to cluttered it's just right. Bottom line this is a must have if you want authentic Mexican food.

The Food was good and hot when delivered to your table. Service was great always watched your refills. The only downside was that the flour tortillas came wrapped in tin foil and were stuck together. I would rather see the tortillas in that plastic tortilla service tub with the cover.

Best Mexican food in town hands down. The place is almost always packed. Fast & friendly service. They have also recently renovated the adjacent building adding more seating, a full bar, and finally bathrooms up stairs! Great place to bring the family. Try the tamales.

My husband and I go in for dinner here on a regular basis. The food and service are fantastic (try the fajitas!) and the margaritas are just the thing to kiss the work week good bye on a Friday night. If you live in the area and haven't been in, you're missing out!!

I have never been disappointed here, never. Now there are some things at a Mexican restaurant that are pretty typical, chimmichangas, burritos, flautas and such. But the difference at El Molino is that the meat they use it such quality. Never a chunk of "what is that" in any dish. And their fish tacos are unreal!!! Actually all of their seafood is perfect. And for God's sake, order the chicken wings! They are the crispiest around, I love them! Now I hear the burgers are perfect as well, but I can't bring myself to order anything that is not Mexican. Go there, no regrets!

Good tasting Mexican food and a friendly staff makes eating a El Molino seem like eating at home.

Went for a late lunch and had the Cancun Chimichanga. Not greasy and the shrimp were not overcooked. That seems to be a challenge in many Mexican places. Anyway, I thought it was very good overall. The picante is a little on the meh side. I added habanero sauce which improved it. That is my only complaint.

El Molino has great food, and is a super fun place. It's the only restaurant in town that is busy every single night, and there's a reason for that. We go at least one time per week, and our beer is always ready for us without even ordering. Between El Molino and Las Brazas, these guys for sure have the market cornered in great food for all of the locals here.

Visiting from New Mexico and my relatives wanted to take us out to dinner. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. And the food was hot and tasty. Unfortunately it's at best Tex-Mex for gringos.
