My husband and I are moving to Mound in a couple of weeks. We heard good things about this place, so we thought we would try it out. Good food. Good service. Everyone was very friendly. We will be back.

Friendly and not turn and burn corporate like Perkins. The atmosphere is appealing (for its category), plenty of selections and quick service. Why not a five: They use transfat/hydrogenated oil, all the standard Sysco food service products. Concentrated juices and coffee that some gas stations top. For a few bucks more you get the best quality ingredients at The Original Pancake House.

Friendly local restaurant. Service was so nice and fast. Food was great. Just wish their breakfast menu was a little bigger with more vegetarian options. But I can make do! I liked the wall decor, any place with Rosie the Riveter is OK with me!

Good local family restaurant on the west side of Lake Minnetonka. Breakfast is available all day long and the salads, sandwiches and dinners are solid. After trying most everything on the menu, I can verify that the items marked as specialities are a notch above everything else. The service is competent and they give Oreos to the kids at the end of the meal.

Just like perkins but more unique small town atmosphere.

Think Perkins without the national logo -- that's Scotty B's. The food is decent and reasonably priced. Service is good. Great place for families and kids for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Never a bad meal! It has been a long time since I had been here and was not let down at all! Still has the best food and the best prices around the area! Love this place!

Nice place! Good food and good prices. Good old fashion family restaurant.

Yea! Breakfast all day. I had an amazing omelet. It was the loaded one. 4 eggs. I couldn't finish it. The 4 vs 5 was because my fruit cup wasn't the freshest granted it is winter time. I was part of a group of 4. Each had something different. The cheese curd appetizer was great. One had shrimp, one had spaghetti, and I'm not going to lie.... I forgot what the 4th person had. All meals were large and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. When visiting family in the area again, would go back.

Love this place. Great food, friendly staff, it is one of my favorites. Try their burgers.... yummy

The owners are outstanding. The food is consistent. This is the place I go with my parents of I'm out in their neighborhood. Used to go here all the time with my family in the 90's. Still the same consistently great food and service. Still feels like a small town cafe. I've probably had 20 meals at Scotty B's over the last 20 years can't think of one bad experience. That level of consistency deserves the elusive 5th star. Great family restaurant.

Great brunch buffet. Quick, easy, and delicious. Service was great, staff was friendly. Great local place that is certainly worth a try!

Scotty's Special breakfast is the bomb. Friendly service. More than you would expect in terms of value and quality.

Good quality/tasting food - similar to Perkins in food options and pricing but the mood is of a smaller and more upscale atmosphere. If you're in the Mound area, I'd recommend it. I've eaten there about 10 times.

Came here for brunch and I'm pretty sure I walked into a family potluck. The buffet was the only dining option so the waitresses had it easy :) The eggs benedict was hands down the best item at the buffet. Close second was the peanut butter rice krispy treats. French toast, waffels, and fried chicken were also pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan of the eggs or hash browns. Overall, for $10, it was a great value and I would return if I'm back in Minnetonka looking for a quick and yummy breakfast.

Sunday brunch. Asked if we could order off the menu, told no. Except all the regulars did left and right. Slow, unfriendly service. Brunch food was cold, plain, and simple. Asked for cream with coffee, none. Offered refill, never brought over.

Great small town diner. Never have I had a bad meal, they are always consistent and food is hot and tasty. Clean as well. No booze though. Also they package up food to go very nicely.

This place is like a small town diner. The food is good and cheap but nothing spectacular. We came here on a Sunday morning (horribly hungover) and were saddened to see the only breakfast option was a makeshift buffet? That was disappointing. I have had good meals here, mostly breakfasts that have hit the spot. Overall it's a good, fast place to get a bite to eat if you're in need. If you have a few more dollars, I'd go to Dakota Junction up the road for any meal over this place though. It's good enough, but the caliper of food is not on par with the patrons that frequent the area.

I agree with previous reviewers comments about this restaurant being like Perkins, but nicer. There is interesting art on the walls and colorful light fixtures. Went here for dinner last night with a party of 12 (6 adults, 6 hungry, obnoxious, basketball teenage boys) and the service was spot on- terrific! We were seated quickly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, all of it hot. The menu was extensive, but there aren't any vegetarian options unless you want pancakes.

Scotty B's is Mound's answer to the diner or your chain restaurants like Perkins. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Scotty B's food at all. However if you're looking for a culinary masterpiece this is certainly not the place. What Scotty B's does offer is just good ole American classics. They have a brunch for $13.00 with a decent selection of your standard breakfast classics such as eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, french toast, etc. Service is good, the location is clean, and the space is a much better improvement than their old location.
