Every time I'm in town I make a strong effort to stop by Lakeside Supper Club. The staff is very friendly, the ambiance is charming, and the food is excellent! My usual order is coconut chicken breast with a side of au gratin potatoes. I absolutely love the flavor combination. The order comes with a trip to the soup and salad bar. I can't even begin to describe how extensive their salad bar is. It is chock-full of fresh, local produce with everything from beats to spinach. The soup is an added bonus. The last time I made it out to dinner at Lakeside I noticed that they renovated the restaurant and added a beautiful porch with what looked like a dance floor and music stand. Overall Lakeside Supper Club is an amazing restaurant across the board. I would not hesitate for a second recommending this Lakeside to anyone and everyone.

A recent visit to Lakeside Super Club did not dissapoint. The service was attentive, the salad bar, while small, was very fresh. Not just fresh vegetables, but locally grown as well. I can taste the difference. The homemade bean sou was seasonal and very flavorful, loaded with fresh dill. My entree was Georgia peach bruschetta chicken breasts on zuchini spaghetti. It was everything I hoped it could be. Great sweet and savory balance, with great use of seasonal produce. Dessert was my favorite, bread pudding with brandy sauce, and it was divine! My husband got the cheesecake, with fresh strawberry puree, which he loved. Talk about a value, our meals, and a glass of wine cost less than $55! I would recommend this place to people that love fresh local food, and understand the difference between this and typical chain food.

I have experienced the great meals at the Lakeside several times. They will blacken the fish for me and serve it with wonderful sauces or this great pepper jelly. The salads are homemade and always fresh. There is fresh baked bread, and the deserts are to die for...esp the Italian cake!

Food was OK. I had cashew crusted salmon and mashed potatoes. The location on yelp is in the wrong place! It is north of Montgomery, not on 13 & 99.

Went for the first time on a Friday a couple weeks ago with two adults and two kids. Driven by it several times and wanted to give it a try. Walked in and saw a group waiting on the bench. Looked around the restaurant and noticed that no more than half of the tables were full. Lady at the desk asks how many? She says that "the wait staff is behind, and we have food to get out so it will be a couple minutes". Standing around for 10 minutes with two kids was not a good start. While waiting I walked over and checked out the salad bar. Another reviewer was right about its likeness to Pizza Hut's salad bar. I would honestly take the Pizza Hut salad bar. The biggest highlight for me was when I was at the salad bar grabbing a piece of bread a old farmer guy walked in front of me and grabbed three pieces of bread with his bare "farmer hands" and placed one of them in the front pocket of his striped overalls. I know it is "country" around this area, but that was a bit much. I had the tilapia and garlic red potatoes for dinner. Not good. I'm sure I could make better at home. The wife had a steak that was ordered medium rare and came medium well. Overall, not a good experience. To be fair there was a few things that were at or above par. The waiter we had was friendly and pretty speedy on drink refills. Was going to try the au gratin potatoes and he recommended the garlic red mashed. Assuming that they are both less than delicious, it didn't really matter, but at least he tried. Fairly updated interior excluding the bathrooms and bar area. If you live south of Montgomery this may be the best around for 20 miles. If you are north of Montgomery head the other direction, it isn't worth your time.

We stopped in here on a Saturday night for dinner and it was a mediocre experience. We walked in the door and stopped at the area where it said "Please wait to be seated". So we stood there and just looked at all the stuff they were selling. Cd's and Mugs and trinkets galore. We had several people approach the register and give us a look but no one seated us. Finally the hostess came up and gave us a seat. Our wait person was sub-par. She never asked or offered to fill up our water glasses. She brought us bread but no butter to eat the hot fresh bread with. (I weep a little thinking about it. I ended up dipping the bread in salad dressing so I could eat it as it smelled so good!) My hubby tried to catch her to ask for some butter but she just was not available for us at all. She asked us how are dinner was going when we were mostly through with our dinner. And when she suggested desert she pushed it too hard - meaning we had to tell her no three times which is twice to many I think. She brought us the bill before either of us were finished with our meal. In terms of the food I felt it was overpriced. We both ordered a dinner which included a salad bar - hot bread and our entree with choice of potato. The salad bar reminded me of the old Pizza Hut salad bars. I have no idea if Pizza Hut even has a salad bar any more - but that was my first thought when I walked up to this. All the basics were there - but there was nothing even a little remarkable about the salad bar. The hot bread was good - but it was sour dough smelling and again - no butter. I ordered their special Greek Shrimp which was 6 shrimp with hunks of feta and chopped tomatoes with Parmesan cheese and some sauce and I had baby red garlic mashed potatoes with it. The flavor was good but I did look at my hubby and say - "This is what $19.00 will get you - a crappy salad bar - bread with no butter - 6 decorated shrimp and a little bowl of potatoes." My hubby got grilled chicken and Au gratin potatoes. He said the chicken tasted pretty good but that the potatoes had that powdered taste - like the cheese came from a packet. Our Meal came to just under $40.00 with only coffee for drinks and before the tip. I just thought that was high for what we got out of the meal. Other things to note: They had paper napkins in rolled silver wear bundles rather than linen. They had stuffed dead birds on the walls. They had soft music playing in the background but it faded fast in the noise of the dinner rush. I guess my whole point here is that their menu was at odds with their environment. I thought the food was tasty and filling but the restaurant was so shabby and the service so poor that it turned the experience into a less than ideal. It took the hostess too long to take our money at the till - and then she stared at my drivers license for a long time and it made my feel weird. You know how people will do that? Like they are memorizing your address and then looking to see if you look like your weight on the license matches what you are? Argh. I payed with a Visa so it's not like she was writing down check info. And finally I hit the bathroom on the way out and as I was sitting in the first stall taking care of business - someone opened the door to exit the bathroom and I could see out into the hallway while sitting there with my pants down. UGH! When we got to the car I told my hubby - 'I am full and the flavor was good - so I don't feel like I should complain - but it was just not a great experience.' And I guess that sums it up.
