I had been looking for a new crepe place ever since my go-to closed in midtown Detroit - and I'm glad to have found it! The Kitchen has about 8 kinds of 9" dessert crepes (most named after local streets) for about $5 each (a great price considering the underwhelming offerings of a certain Ann Arbor crepes place). I had the Elvis Crepe (PB&J, chocolate, bananas). It's a delicious, filling crepe that two people can share, although you won't want to! I'll definitely be back to try more dessert crepes, the breakfast crepes ($6 each), and the pierogis ($1.5 each) -Cash only, closed on Sunday & Monday-

***CASH ONLY*** I visited the Kitchen on a slow weeknight with a friend. We were cheerfully greeted and asked if we'd ever been there before. Neither of us had, so we took a few minutes to study the offerings. They have many varieties of pierogies available, and you can order individually for $1.50, or a dozen for $12. You can enjoy them prepared with onions and sour cream, or take them home frozen and cook them yourself. Crepes are also offered, but the majority were sweet varieties. I may try one during a future visit. I ordered four: two potato and cheddar, one chicken bacon ranch and one bacon bleu cheese. My friend got a couple jalapeno and a couple mac and cheese. We sat at one of their several small tables and our pierogies were served quickly afterward. I really enjoyed all of mine. They all tasted as they should, and were delightfully salty. My friend thought her mac and cheese pierogies were a dud, because they didn't taste like much. There was a storm coming through, and the woman on the grill said to us not five minutes after we got our food "I'm gonna have to let you ladies out when you're finished. Do you want a box?" It was 7 and they were supposed to be open until 8pm. We both felt rushed to get out so they could close for this "storm" (basically rain). It left bad tastes in our mouths. She could have worded it so much nicer, e.g. "We'll be closing up for the storm once you ladies are done, but take your time." Besides the forced eat-and-run, everything was good. I'll still go back. I'm excited to take my husband because he loves pierogies, and the ones here tasted great.

This was delicious! I came with 2 girlfriends last night for 3rd Friday and we came once to try a pierogi and then actually came back for ones to take home and treated ourselves to a crepe. The crepe was the most amazing thing to end the night with! We had the One with cinnamon toast crunch and it was like the best cinnamon roll! Very creative and delicious. I can't wait to eat another one lol Everything was so good, we had a variety between us and we had no complaints. The inside is simple but adorable. The tin wall is a nice touch. The staff was pretty friendly. Nothing over the top but not rude at all. It was overall an excellent experience and we will be back.

Good food. $1.50 per Pierogi might seem expensive. But they are a good size and taste great. Fairly quick service for carry out even on a busy night. The taco one is veery good.

The Little Pierogi & Crepe Kitchen opened October 3, 2014 in what used to be the storefront of a local legendary burger joint that recently moved (aka Joe's). My daughter and I decided we had to try this place as soon as possible, so we rushed right over. The owner, 20YO Drew Geer, recently engaged in a quest she's been training many years for, owning her own shop and serving up some tasty morsels in her hometown! (And yes, I said 20 Years Old!) The storefront itself needs some work physically. It's small (I'd say intimate or quaint), and it needs some TLC, but I'm sure that's coming as the business gets it's firm footing. We were in on a Friday evening and it was a decent wait for one of the 5 tables, so we opted to return later for the dine-in experience. This time it was 12 for $12 pierogies, mix & match as you like. I got a mixture of pizza, bacon cheeseburger, potato & cheese, blue cheese & bacon, mac-n-cheese, & loaded baked potato Pierogi. They're prepared to the point that you fry them up when you get home. I did so, and they were incredible! These were hands down the best pierogies I've ever had. They may not have been the traditional flavors (which they have of course), but they were more suited to my non-polish pallet. I fried half in a pan "old school" technique, and the other half went oil-free on my sandwich maker (with the flat griddle pans) which evenly toasted them & saved some calories. The one down side to ordering like this is that they're all packaged together so you don't know what you're getting until you bite into it. I'd suggest smaller, more individual marked packages. I'm really looking forward to going back and trying all of the varieties I wasn't able to carry out, including the desert pierogies. The variety of crepes is weighing on me as well. The ones I saw looked heavenly. I'll post more about them soon. The Little Pierogi & Crepe Kitchen is a wonderful new addition to the community, and I urge everyone to do themselves a favor by stopping by and getting your fix. You won't be sorry!

I heard a lot of good hype about this place, so I was excited to try it. I am a huge crepe fan, and how amazing that a place opened that makes crepes in my own home town! I imagined popping in midday, having a crepe and coffee, before heading off on my errands. Unfortunately, my one experience was very disappointing. The first time I tried to go, it was closed, as it had run out of food. That seems like a good sign, right? I managed to get in on my second trip, and I ordered what is supposed to be their most popular crepe, the Mulberry, which is a sweet crepe with cream cheese and fruit. I also ordered the potato cheese pierogis. My husband ordered a ham and cheese crepe, and planned on splitting the pierogis with me. We waited just a short time and our order arrived. My crepe was dark brown, brittle, and seemed burned on appearance. The cream cheese was just dropped by what seemed like ice cream scoop inside, was freezing cold, and had no finesse to application whatsoever. The fruit was that slimy, not very appetizing texture, like you would get from frozen fruit after it had been thawed. Worst of all, the whole things tasted like sauteed onions. The last thing you want your sweet crepe to taste like is onions. So I moved on to the pierogis. I thought, this is Wyandotte, pierogis are usually good here. Unfortunately, these were a fail as well. Hard and rubbery, the filling was like sawdust, none of that creamy cohesion that you would expect. Just dry, dry, dry powder with a rubbery exterior. Completely unappetizing. My husband's crepe was similar to mine as far as the actual crepe goes, and he said the ham inside was just lunch meat ham thrown into it, and again the temperature was so cold. Overall, we were very disappointed in our experience. I realize this is a new business, and might need to work out its kinks. Maybe we just went on a bad day. I don't know. I know though that I won't be going back.

The food here is fantastic. I've been here twice. The first visit I came with my 3 year old and I tried the "Spruce" crepe (feta, tomato, spinach and balsamic) and Dill Pickle Soup and I got a ham and cheese crepe for my son. My crepe was so good, the flavors and ingredients were fresh and flavorful. My son only ate the ham out of his crepe, but I tried a bite of it all together and it was pretty good (i'm not a huge fan of ham, and I would have liked it better if it had thin sliced ham in it, not big chunks, but other people may like it that way). The Dill Pickle Soup was AMAZING, filled with plentiful bites of potato, dill and pickles in a thin, cream based broth. I would eat it every day if I could. It sounds weird but it's a polish recipe and so yummy. On my second visit with my husband, we tried a variety of Pierogi. We got: Cheese & Potato, Bacon & Bleu Cheese and Macaroni and Cheese. We would have tried more but it was near the end of the day and they were sold out of some of the choices. Let's just say we were arguing about who got to finish the last one. These are obviously all hand made, and the absolute BEST pierogi I have ever tasted. The Bacon and Bleu was both of our favorites. The Macaroni and Cheese pierogi was the only one I probably wouldn't order again, it was basically like plain macaroni inside..maybe it needs more cheese or something. Anyway, the Pierogi are served with sides of sour cream, and sautéed onions, and I can't remember the price but I think they are about $1/piece. I would recommend ordering a lot. We wished we had more. The restaurant is a "blink and you might miss it" type of place, I don't even think they have a sign out in front, probably because they just opened. There are about 5 small tables inside and there seems to always be a little bit of a wait to order. However, it's clean and quaint inside, with a hand lettered menu in chalk. I personally love it, it adds to the ambiance, and feels like a cute little restaurant in Paris or something. Also, they serve all kinds of Michigan made soda (Faygo) in old fashioned glass bottles and I believe it is cash only there. I would highly suggest trying this place out, I can't wait to go back to try more, especially the dessert crepes and pierogi.

Someone needs to show them how to make crepes. I ordered the ham and cheese. ... The crepe tasted like someone took Aunt Jemimah pancake batter and used that to make a crepe. Then they cooked it so hard that it was crispy and dark brown, the color of a pretzel, the texture of a taco chip. The ham was chunky and cold, and I really didn't see any cheese. I was so disappointed. The pierogi was ok, not great and the soup we ordered was cold. Ordering is alacart and I felt that it was overpriced. If I ordered a meal for the same price at other Polish restaurants I would have received sides in addition to my meal. Definitely off the list, we will not be going back .

I came here with a friend on 3rd Friday. When we walked in we were greeted & treated very kindly by the staff & had our order taken right away. There are so many choices of pierogi, from the traditional to the semi-strange, all of which I plan to come back and try including all the potato varieties, jalapeño, cheeseburger, taco, & pizza. At 1.50 each or 12 for $12 it's not a bad deal but I would be spending a good amount of money to get full! I also love that you can get them cold as take out & cook them at home. During my visit I tried a bite of my friends mac & cheese pierogi smothered in onions and it was so delicious. She also got the mushroom swiss she says was very good. We both got a crepe, hers - the mulberry (fruit & cream) - she said was heavenly and mine - the orchard (apple pie filling) - we both agreed hit the spot. They have a bunch of different 9" crepes, the sweet with fruit, Nutella, pb&j at $5 and the savory with ham, cheeses, hummus, tomato at $6. They are all adorably named after local Wyandotte street names, just one part of the charm. One small downside is that they are cash only. I would have loved to have tried more on my first visit but I expected to pay with a card and only had a little cash on me. The size can be a good or bad thing. When we went it wasn't busy so it was a nice quaint little place where we very much enjoyed eating, sitting and talking for a while but I can imagine it getting crowded at times. I'd also like to bring my (big) family here to enjoy the food but there's not enough room for us all! I think this is a great place with nice staff and wonderful food and I'll be back to try everything at least once!

Let's save some time and money. Next time you go to the grocery store, buy boxed pierogis and pancake mix. Cook the pierogis. Make a pancake. Throw some fruit and sugar in the pancake. Eat it. I just saved you 15 dollars you would have spent here. Rubbery pierogis. Farmers cheese with ZERO flavor. I can almost guarantee they are frozen grocery store brand. Crepes? Nah son. That's an overcooked pancake.

I live in Seattle but grew up Downriver so I wanted to give this new place a try when I came home for a visit. I ordered the potato/cheese and potato onion pierogi---have to admit it but they were really good. Guess I should have known when I saw several elderly patrons come in to order there own for take out. This is not a fancy place and could use a little updating in terms of the interior and tables but that will come with time. I was a little disappointed with the Ford Ave crepe only in the fact that is was dry---a nice bechamel sauce would have made it much better. Hoping to see this place thrive so they can add other items to the menu like a side salad and even a glass of wine.

I just left with a carry out. I ordered 3 ham and jalapeno pierogi. I also ordered kielbasa and onions. Everything was delicious! The pierogi were a good size. The jalapeno gave it a nice "bite"! The kielbasa was a generous amount. I can't wait to go back!
