The food here is awful and the service is even worse I'm not sure why this place is even still in business I guess there is just not many choices in Romeo.

Went here for the first time and I was impressed for a sports bar. I went during lunch time, which could be like day and night in the evening! Ha! day and night! Anyway, staff was friendly, tables and floors were clean, not the typical sticky table tops of sports pubs. I ordered a burger with an egg and bacon and cheese with fries! OMG! It was delicous!!! Fries were typical seasoned fries, but overall I had a good experience. I will be returning in the future!

The menu has everything you can imagine, tacos to wraps, borritos and kabobs. The food was great, my boyrfriend got a amazing spicy chicken sandwhich; I got the taco salad. I would get both again, but theres so much on the menu that I still want to try. Went on a Thursday, which happens to be "$3 you call its" including beer and literally any type of liquor, even top shelf. I was happy to know they actually made the drink I asked for. As this was my first time here, I will continue to go for the food and atmosphere.

Giant menu! Ordered the Burger with fried egg in top and was very impressed. Kids loved a little tv on each table with the ability to watch whatever they wanted. Not sure I'm a huge fan of that.

Very good food and excellent service. They need to show more concern for health and safety though. They allowed e-cigarette smoking in the dining area (worse second-hand nicotine exposure than real cigarettes) and over-served one customer at the bar who kept getting louder and more obnoxious with each beer given to him.

Nice place! The servers always have a smile on their face good music but wish it was easier to watch sports I give this place a 4 out of 5. I once got a burger and ask for pepper jack cheese my burger came with Swiss cheese and pepper on top. It was quite comical. The veggies are on point and fish are to die for.

We used to love this place, every time we give it another shot and go back we are very disappointed. The food is terrible and the service is worse. This time I ordered a Rocky Mountain "gourmet" Burger, the beef was dry, the sauce was missing and the fried jalapeños were just plain jalapeños thrown on the burger. I asked if I got the wrong burger? I requested the correct burger; I got the exact same burger back with the plain jalapeños plus a ton of half fried jalapeños on top. My burger was 50% jalapeños and 50% crappy burger. This is the fifth time in a row that they have screwed up our food, we are done eating here.

Trash service at the bar. Me and two fellow veterans of mine from two tours over seas visit me and on a Wednesday night and because one didn't know his zodiac sign, he was denied service with a valid Ohio liscense. Even by the manager Stacy who should have done the right thing. Yes I do know the bartender has a right to deny anyone but it was immediately after we had walked in. This was our second stop after a bar visiting the office in Romeo. We hardly had 1 beer and a shot there before last call and left at midnight, then ariving at Art and Jakes. She was on a power trip and disrespected three vets. Kicking me out because I asked too many questions and calling her out. If you are an out of state veteran out of service do NOT visit this establisment in Romeo. No respect, even if he wasn't a veteran she discriminated against him because he didn't know his zodiac sign. There is no law against knowing your Zodiac sign.

I love the food here! Great menu choices and the prices are fair for the size you get! Cobb salad is one of my favorites as is their turkey panini!
(4)Brandon B.
Great service, ribs were the best I've had in a long time, and couldn't beat the price.

Hungry on Christmas Eve and happened upon this place, we need to come back again and try more of the good sounding menu items. Deep dish pizza has a fresh crispy crust, tasty sauce, and plenty of toppings to choose from, very tasty! Club sandwich was tasty, loaded up with fresh ingredients, and very pretty on the plate. Even the chicken noodle soup was above average, with thick dumpling noodles and a rich broth. All this is packed into a spacious bar with plenty of drink options and big TVs everywhere. You can play keeno while you wait for your friendly efficient server to bring your food. They even have a kids menu!

Had a fantastic lunch. Venetian pork chop grilled veggies for only 8.95. Perfectly prepared. Quick friendly service on a Sunday afternoon It's a clean sports bar with lots of screens and its NOT TOO LOUD to have a conversation! Well done!
(5)Keith P.
Today we had mussels for an appetizer, yum yum. And mahi mahi salad for dinner. Very good. We would eat here more often if the place wasn't so loud.
(4)Laurie P.
Huge menu, good food and service. Very loud, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner, this isn't the place. But, it IS a sports bar! Plenty of televisions to watch the game on, and a small outside patio.
(4)Elizabeth C.
We have eaten here many times, consistently good food. Very large menu and we've ordered mainly burgers and sandwiches...but their salads are great too. They're not stingy with drinks either! Weather you're looking for a place to watch the game or for a quick bite out, you can't go wrong here...
(5)Tony J.
I went there today for some drinks the prices are reasonable and that staff was very friendly will be back to try some of there food it looked good but I just had eaten dinner
(5)Jason O.
Been here a few times, food was very good and fast service. I have only been here for eats but looks like it would be a good place to watch a ball game.
(5)Z T.
Went here tonight for the first time for a buddy's birthday get together. Great atmosphere. Definitely a ton of TVs as mentioned by others. The food was great and the drinks were cold. We each ordered a variety of burgers that were grilled to order. The fries were definitely tasty. Some people nearby ordered the pizza which looked awesome. We will definitely be back to try it.
(5)Bryan F.
We go there all the time. Food is great and fast service. Lots of TVs too which is cool.

I've never had anything here I liked. The food is bland and always seems to come out cold. I somehow get dragged here once in a while with work (annually), each time thinking "well it's still here, maybe something has changed". It never does. I think that because there is so little to choose from in Romeo, people who live here think it's great. Honestly, everything I have had from burgers, sandwiches to whatever has been flavorless. How do you make a hamburger with no taste? It's weird because Art and Jake can do it... The food always looks like it will be good when it comes out. Strange phenomenon. The waitstaff usually forgets about you if you are not ordering alcohol. The inside looks as if it should be good, for all that's worth... but the kitchen and waitstaff are no good. I have little else to say... this place, to me - sucks.

Art & Jakes is by no means groundbreaking, but not every restaurant has to be a culinary abstract masterpiece. While having quirks and originality is what my favorite restaurants are made of, I would never dismiss a place just because it wasn't different and unique. This place has what I'm looking for when I am in a sports bar, a good variety of burgers, excellent french fries, and beer. Art & Jakes has this, and for that I cannot knock them. I had the aloha burger, which was topped with pineapple slices, bourbon sauce and a slice of American cheese. I love when restaurants realize how tasty pineapple is on array of dishes. I was with a fairly large group, and didn't hear one complaint out of anyone, which a rarity anymore. Overall, this is a decent place worth checking out at least a few times if you live in the area. I'll be back at least one more time for some "moderate alcohol consumption".

Don't order the Pizzia, saw a few folks that had it on their tables looked great. So I ordered it. Was not great. My date ordered Chicken it was really good.,

I was leary after seeing some of the reviews, but I have to say, I had a very positive experience at Art & Jakes. Our service was very good. Our server, and another gal were always stopping by to check, but not too much. Was craving a burger so bad, it was a toss up between the Aloha Burger (grilled pineapple, bbq sauce, and american cheese) or the Sweet Home Alabama (cole slaw, bbq sauce, and swiss) - Our server said she liked the Sweet Home, so that's what I got....and she did not steer me wrong. It was prepared perfectly medium, nice and juicy, and the all the flavors fused very nicely...paired with a couple of Stella's.. DYnoMITE!

I love the variety this place has to offer. From the pastas, to salads, burgers, wraps, chicken wings, and more. Their french fries are the best! The environment is great, it's not too loud, and its a lot comfier than most sports bar environments. There are only a few complaints. Out waitress every time we are there doesnt seem to check up on us ever. I was left parched while eating a spicy entree. Where was my waitress? Across the restaurant flirting with a party of males. Which doesnt bother me- but like I said, i was parched so she wasnt doing her job. The waitresses at art and jakes need to be more attentive
(4)O K.
love love love! art and jakes is a must! the food, atmosphere and staff is great!
(5)Mike S.
I've just recently tried Art & Jake's and found it to be a great place to catch a game and some great bar food. We actually went back the next week, we enjoyed it so much. We've had the club sandwich, burger, salad, and pizza and all were great. The service has been great both times. Bathrooms clean. Lots of tv's. This will definitely be one of our regular stops. Get there early to catch a game became it will be packed.
(4)John H.
The food has never been satisfactory, not one time. I don't why I still bother with this place. The cook manages to under-cook fries every single time. Todays failure was botching a simple order of nachos.
(1)J S.
Really baffled by the poor reviews for Art and Jakes. We go here several times a month to eat dinner or lunch, we always have great food. The pizza and calzones are great. Wait staff couldn't be any better. great atmosphere for a sports bar.
(5)Billy L.
I love this restaurant. The menu is amazing, prices are reasonable and I have always had good service. It's hard for me to imagine anyone not liking Art & Jakes! Everyone I've ever gone here with loves it!!
(4)Tim C.
I'm a local to this place, and unfortunately the food has gone down in quality slowly but surely since this place opened. It's gotten to the point to where my wife will no longer go back. When it first opened you would of thought Vic had chefs cooking the food, and now I have no idea who's cooking, but something needs to be changed. Vic is lucky that's the only bar in that area unless you go into downtown Romeo, and people don't like to do that because of the Romeo police.

I've given this place two tries. The food was OK not bad, not spectacular. Me personally if I'm drinking beer I like to drink locally made beer. Only the standard domestic beer and a full liquor shelf. The ambiance was nice sports bar style, a lot of TVs even some of the tables had their own TV. The waitress on the first visit was good for being busy. Second time only three tables full and two waitresses on the floor, ours was slow and never came to check on us. We had no ketchup and wife's Coke was gown.
(2)Brett S.
Food here is very good sports bar fare and I think is reasonably priced. Service can be just a little slow but the place is typically packed when we go friday or saturday evenings. It has never prevented us from going back.
(5)Rachel P.
I'm disappointed every time I try this place. The food is a few dollars more than elsewhere and is just bland. Also, there is not enough parking.

Went after golf 7/5/2013, around 1pm. Very nice building, open floor, very welcoming ladies, tv's everywhere. AND.... even a flattie at the table!! With the DirecTV remote in front of me. Tuned immediately to Fox news, toggling to Fox business and CNBC. The market is up today. Anyway, ordered der Pork Schnitzel lunch special - $6.95. It came on a large plate with TWO boneless pork (chops I think), breaded and smothered in a very nice gravy, a heaping portion of rice and large serving of blanched yellow zucchini. I found it to be very palate pleasing and filling. Pork was tender. This was my first time here, on the recommendation of one of the guys who has been several times. They had nachos, seafood bites and chowder, and the cuban sandwich. I heard no complaints. Just munching as we discussed the turmoil in Egypt, right to work impact on teachers (metrics measured to classroom success geared to MEAP is ill-conceived, teach normally and develop better metrics). Nicely done, even if I did have to back track a few miles to get home.
