Couldn't tell if it was hotel or a restaurant. Asked the bartender about a beer she said " I don't know I don't drink em " this is a beautiful tourist area and I'll be taking my business to someone who understands hospitality next time I'm in the area .

It was just ok. Atmosphere was mediocre. The deck was nice although it was quite warm when we went and the fans really did not help much. Service was friendly and efficient. Everyone was really nice. Food...decent. I had the burger. It was handmade and huge. Quite tasty! Fries were great! I would have been happy just eating fries. The fried chicken was not so great. It said a half chicken. The chickens in northern michigan must be unique because they have two thighs and no breasts. Hmmmm... Two other dining companions had the fish and grilled chicken breast which they enjoyed. The restaurant selection is limited in this part of town and for that reason I would probably dine here again but it honestly is not stellar.

Went here for years and loved it. Heard they got new owners and for 2013 it is horrible. Cold prime rib that seems to have been microwaved to heat. No cheese or coutons on salad bar anymore. I ordered shrimp with drawn butter--got shrimp with a butter alternative. Dinner rolls had no butter. Fries tasted like fish--which was the special that night. Will NEVER go back.

Very nice looking restaurant. Beautiful scenery but mostly it's a bar. There seems to be a nicer sit down area, but we were seated in the bar room. The food was good for everyone I was with, but I ordered a chicken caeser salad and was rather disappointed. It said it was a plate of "mixed greens, etc" and I got a plate of iceberg lettuce cut up with a a piece of chicken on it. The bartender/waitress seemed very friendly though.

We've been in twice , once after we sealed the deal on our house in and another time just scoping out the area. Both times have been excellent. We were in during the winter so it was just the bar area open. Nice and cozy and clean. The first time I had the Reuben and it was great, your basic Ruben but with high quality ingredients. The fries are nuts. The second time I had fish and chips and once again it was basic but done well- amazing fries. I really dig this place and my parents have had great experiences there as well.
