This place is small, oldchool and hipster so you must like this kind of stuff. Burgers are worth all your guilt! Delicious, fresh and very very cheap. Their fries are huge and piled with toppings if you desire to have any. My service was friendly and nice Recommended!

Fancy White Castle burgers. And that's not a bad thing. Quirky place. Friendly service. Reasonable prices.

I had the Comet burger and the kids had the same. The service is fast and friendly. It is our first visit but will it be our last. Other patrons shakes and ice cream looked so delicious. I can't wait to try my own.

My husband and I visited Comet Burgers after a matinee this afternoon. The venue came highly recommended by a family member, stating it was similar to the Mercury in Corktown and Greens Hamburgers (Farmington Hills, MI). As these are our favorite burger joints, we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. Upon entering, the burger joint reminded me of an old school diner. Small yet inviting, there is less room to sit at a table and more room to sit at the bar. Fine with us! The waitress approached us smiling. She seemed very helpful and friendly. My husband ordered two double cheese burgers with fries, and I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich. After about a 6 minute wait, our order arrived. My husbands burger looked like a single burger, but he didn't complain. It tasted like a white castle burger, but he was happy. My steak and cheese sandwich was delicious. The perfect size with all the right toppings and garnishments. I loved it. Only issue we had was upon leaving we requested two regular cheese burgers with lettuce and pickles placed on the side. We ordered it that way so when we warm it up, the lettuce won't get soggy. When we received our order, the lettuce and pickles were added to the burger. When my husband asked the waitress to remake the order, she gave him so much attitude. Not sure where that came from, especially since she seemed so helpful. I would think if a customer orders food a certain way, why would they be expected to pay for the food when it isn't cooked as requested. Customer Service means everything to an establishment. Although the food was good, it will be a while before we return. My husband mentioned Hunter House would give Comet Burgers a run for their money...we'll be there next.

Odd, wrote a review on this place months and months ago after a UYE. My photo is even the cover photo for the business at this time, and I discussed the beauty of the sauteed onions on top of the burger. Decent slider, nice coney dog.

Comet is simply where you go for some sliders at 2am after a night of drinking. Its on my way home from the bars so its an easy decision to stop by for a slider and maybe a milkshake (depends on how many beers i've had). Despite the place getting pretty slammed by all other drinkers in the late evening, I've found them to be pretty quick to take your order and deliver your food/drinks. The waitstaff is pretty awesome and knows how to deal with the drunks.

I've been eating burgers here for nearly a decade and I've never left unhappy. It's now an after school tradition with my son when. Brown cow, chili cheese fries and burgers. Delicious happiness.

Sliders are pretty good. Not quite up to par with Brayz or Hunter House, but far better than White Castle. I like how Comet sliders come with pickles on the side so you can add them just before biting, COLD, along with your mustard (you'll have to add your own ketchup too, if you're into that kind of thing). Waffle fries are nicely crisped and come in generous portions. 3.5 stars, rounded down. Nothing wrong with the place, there's just too much fierce competition nearby in this category. Metro Detroit is very fortunate to be the home of so many good-to-great slider joints.

This place reminds me of older movies that have diner scenes and there is just boisterous noise everywhere and it's awesome -- especially late at night. I admit it, I usually go here when I'm inebriated or close to. It's not that I wouldn't eat the food sober but when I have some booze I get an appetite. Sue me! The burgers and fries are where it's at, made with love from the employees and an animal from an unknown habitat. No worry, I'm about the taste. It's good stuff, so good that I might even get my vegetarian girlfriend to try it once. (Won't happen but a man can dream...) Anyway, this place does it and does it well. It's not fancy and doesn't pretend to be, but the prices are great and the food is damn good.

Good late night burger place. Staff is very friendly and the food is made very quickly. They are above average burgers for Royal Oak

Been one of my favorite places to eat for years. Best sliders in town and the prices are very reasonable. i would like to see them update the place though, it has not changed really since its opening.

Good sliders with grilled onions. The best vanilla malt ever!!! Today I tried cesar salad with grilled chicken. I didn't like the chicken though. Nothing they did wrong but it had greek (or whatever it is) seasoning and I don't like that flavor on my chicken. I like going at odd hours to avoid the downtown can't park anywhere traffic. The girl who took our order was very nice friendly and polite.

Our family decided to do a slider tour. On my list tied 6th place with motts in Detroit out of 7stops. Not clean slow service burgers lean on meat taste ok. Not as greasy as motts. Good music.

This place will make any stomach happy after a night of cocktails. At 2am, this place's wait is a bit ridiculous, but the food hit the spot. The male staff is unpleasant but the female staff brought their A-Game. Sliders are larger than I expected, so I accidentally ordered a few too many, which made my friends happy. 3 stars because of the wait & staff-- food alone, would get 4 stars.

Great burgers - I like the vibe in here (vibe - a word I swore if never use). Staff is always real friendly. I'll be back. Usually my go to place after a concert at Royal Oak Music Theater.

In my opinion this is by far the best of the slider joints in oakland county with a much bigger menu and great ice cream. They do fantastic business been going here for 13 years haha. Best thing about royal oak

look... seriously. If you know anything about burgers you'd know Comet Burger is the best burger within 10 miles of the place. I live locally, I've eaten at ALL of the places that have been touted as the best. Believe me when I say Comet Burger and one other place (remains nameless to prevent hate speech) are THE only place to go for a good slider and a few nostalgic sides. Go there and do what I did my first time there, if you're feeling particularly 'fat' that day. I call it "The Burger Flight" (a comet burger, a comet double burger, and a monster, one of each all with cheese and onions) and either a Black or Brown Cow or a Boston Cooler. (I went with Black Cow, YES) ANYONE who talks negatively on Comet burger can personally message me and I will dissect the situation. If you can prove me wrong, I'll buy your meal. Their chili cheese fries alone are a reason to go. I get them everywhere and Comets are THE best. I am in no way affiliated with the place either. I'm just a Chef who has gone so far to have an entire photo album dedicated to his search for the perfect burger while he was living in Los Angeles for 7 years. Believe me when I say this, this place is a shining example of a delicious 'burger joint'.

I prefer Little Brothers Burgers, but Comet Burger is very similar and almost as good. Nothing special, but it's right downtown and serves good, cheap burgers. It's a small place, so don't bring a group if you plan to eat there. Open late though, so it's a great place to walk to after going out.

Very inexpensive burger joint. Don't expect anything fancy - food served in plastic baskets. The gal who took our order was super nice. We sat outside at one of only two tables. It was fun to people watch since the restaurant is on the main drag. For the price, the food here is very good. Burgers were solid, fries crispy (could have used a little seasoning), cheese sticks rich. Hubby said chocolate soda was just the way he likes them. My creamsicle shake was a little watery, but still had a great flavor. This is a fun place to go if you don't want to spend a lot of money!

This is my favorite Slider in Detroit ( I give it the edge over Telway as the top slider in Detroit ) The key here is consistency. In some two dozen or more visits, I've yet to have a bad meal. Of course the key time to sample this food is after a day or night of bar hopping in Royal Oak The grill is absolutely clean ( a completely different experience from the dirty grill at Hunter house with burned bits of crap on every burger...gross! ) and the slider is cooked to order which I think results in a better, fresher, tastier burger and not one that has been sort of slow cooked on a greasy, dirty grill until somebody rescues it off the grill. the onions are perfectly steam grilled and the cheese is hotter than the surface of the sun. The buns are soft and almost a bit sweet. They are wonderful Two double cheeseburgers , chili cheese fries and chocolate shake are the perfect after boozer meal the inside is cool as well and the servers are nice disclaimer: I'm more of a afternoon or happy hour drinker. I like day drinking so when I refer to after the bar, I'm referring to before 8 PM. I like it when it's almost empty and not the mob scene I've heard of late at night. This might affect my experience. your mileage may vary

I am between a three and a four star for this one, so when in doubt, round up :0). My kids loved it here, both the atmosphere and the food. They ordered a variety of monster burgers, sliders, and double sliders and each declared the burgers to be the "best ever." The prices are good. I do not eat burgers and asked the waitress how the fish is. She said she doesn't eat fish, but "people seem to like it." Ugh, it was like a large fish nugget, flat, pressed, yucky. But as my kids said, "It isn't named Comet's Fish, Mom!" The waitress asked me if the fish was good when my mouth was full and I just nodded yes. Sorry to all future customers who ask her if it is good. The four of us each ordered a small fry. Don't do this. A small fry can easily feed two people. Strangely, when sitting all the way in the front of the restaurant, you can smell smoke when the waitress sneaks out the back door to smoke outside. My 9-year-old noticed this first and questioned why it smelled like cigarettes. This should probably be a 3 star review factoring this in, but it is a cheesy rock and roll diner, so it goes with the theme.

A hard day of Christmas shopping in DT RO and I was starving. I was Jimmy Johns out and my stomach would not put up with a long wait at some of the other restaurants on Main St. The scent of frying onions caught my attention and I dived in to Comet Burger. I have been coming here for years, I prefer sitting at the counter but my shopping bags took up too much space, so a table it was. Ahhhh, slider heaven. Two with cheese and an order of onion rings, not healthy, not good for my complexion, but my tummy was silent and life was good again.

These sliders are as good as any you would get anywhere. Juicy, substantial, perfectly grilled onions. Hunter house in Birmingham has longevity but in terms of quality cannot compare to Comet Burger.

I apologize for ever giving Comet Burger 4 stars. It is totally worthy of 5. I've decided that the burgers here may be an option as my "last meal."

Until my last trip to here, I would of given Comet Burger a 3star rating for being mediocre . Its OK at best. Last night was by far the worst expierence ever. Their food sucked plain and simple. By far the worst chilli cheese fries I have ever had! I am a chilli cheese fry critic. I've eaten more chilli cheese fries than people have eaten food drunk. Believe me when I say that their chilli is bland, their super processed artificial cheese substance is not cheesy tasting, and their fries are soagy and unflavored. They should be crispy if you are making them chilli cheese fries. This place deserves a lesser score.

Don't believe that I've ever been here sober so I will try my best lol :) Best place to go after a night in royal oak. Awesome burgers, and even better chilli cheese fries. Favorite part about this place is the atmosphere. Really cool place to check out.

Most reviews on here got it right... Awesome late night after hours hang out with friends. After dinner and a bar or two head over here. It will probably be a little packed but their burgers and fries are good and cheap- but seriously... its good. After a nite with the gals or guys... nice & casual place to just hang out. Burgers and fries are served up really fast!

My friend invited me stating that this was the best burger in town. He was not wrong. The atmosphere is divey, small & cramped. They spent all there money on chef school apparently, cuz the food was great.

Their cherry cokes are possibly my favorite beverage ever. I wish I had a never ending cup of that stuff.
(4)

Classic case of you get what they serve: food was decent and certainly fresh (cooked before your eyes) but the fries came first, then one sandwhich and when my son was done, my sandwhich arrived. The $4 milkshake isn't worth the money- drive to Ray's.

Americana. Order this: 2-3 comet's with cheese, fries (enough to share) and chocolate shake (or vanilla malt)... and maybe side of mayo if that's your thing. Don't even look at the menu, trust me on this one. Comet is one of the best slider joints in greater Detroit.
(5)

The only times I've ever eaten here have been after drinking. Keep that in mind. I'm usually a coney guy, but sometimes get suckered into trying Comet. Everything I ever remember about this place sucks. The food is mediocre, the place is packed as hell on weekends and I just don't like the feel of it. I will expand more on the food since thats important. The burgers are just boring burgers. They do absolutely nothing for me. I like a wide variety of burgers, trust me. These are just meh. The service must've been made the same way they make the burgers because its always meh. We had to wait near 40 minutes to get our bill, and just kind of left the money on the table since the line at the register was approximately half the population of Royal Oak long. Don't go here for after hours burgers. Suck it up and go to Leo's or National. Thats why they exist. The two Coney's do it right. Comet does not.

I'd say this place is like a hipper Telway. It has all of the basics that most slider places have.. sliders (of course!), chili cheese fries, fried mushrooms and mozz sticks, onion rings, shakes, floats, etc. They have a row of stools all along the kitchen area and small 2-person booths lining the wall. It seems to definitely be an after-bar hang out. We were there at around 1am on a Saturday night, and we were definitely the only sober people in the place besides the staff. Decent prices (for what you get), good food and prompt service. The sliders were soooo good-- the buns were even brushed in oil (cuz you can never get enough!). As much as I love Telway, and despise the drunk crowd in Royal Oak, I will be sure to come back regularly! (I can already feel my ass getting larger...) Oh, and they have good Ranch. I love Ranch.

I wish I could give this dump one star. Sassy, snarky, snobby little staff they have here. I don't like them one bit. I even heard one girl behind the counter say that bicycles are stupid after I asked if I could chain mine up in a certain spot outside. Whaaaat? Their burgers are blaaarg. Their ice cream is freezer burned. Their floors are sticky. No like. No like it at all.

What can I say, this place isn't going to get a Michelin star but it isn't going for one either. It delivers what it promises: sliders, fries, and other misc. diner food. If you want uber consistent food and service, hit McDonalds for your burgers. If you want more intimate atmosphere and a bit higher quality ingredients, go to the Red Coat Tavern. But if you just want to stop in for a quick lunch or greasy late night snack, this is your place. As long as there are bars open late and hipsters hanging out in Royal Oak, this Comet will have its place in town.
(4)
Krupa U.
This is a must after a fun Saturday night out in Royal Oak, and as my inhibitions are usually lowered by 2am, I let the cravings take over and indulge in some deliciously greasy burgers. SLIDERS! need i say more? Each slider is $1.50 and $1.60 with cheese. Extra onion. Extra pickle. Mustard. Ketchup. Side order of either chili cheese fries or fried mushrooms (or both at times lol!) It ALL hits the spot but fortunately doesn't dent your wallet. Just make sure you make it there by 3am b/c that's when they shut down.

Comet Burger used to have an image on their front door: the words "fat free" circled in red and slashed through. This is something to keep in mind when dining. But don't let a little fat turn you away! If you're anything like me, it's quite the contrary: bring on the fat! Comet is an awesome place to grab a few sliders - before or after bar runs , or just to grab lunch. The place looks like an old malt shop from the 50s; stools bolted into the ground in front of a speckled white counter. They lined the walls with record albums; there's a lot to look at, and a lot to eat. I'd suggest trying one of their milkshakes; made by hand, Comet kept with their decor and make shakes the old fashioned way - not the low-carb low-fat way! If you're looking to fill up, three or four of their Comet burgers will do the trick; a beef patty grilled with onions (or pickles) on top of a steamed bun. It's the staple of American dining! It's so cheap to eat here; definitely stop in if you get the chance.

It's great post-bar food, though truthfully I don't find the quality any higher than White Castle - if anything they're basically just overcooked WC sliders. Though, the one thing they've got over the Castle are their milkshakes. Also not the best shake I've ever had, but they're still pretty freakin' good. I can call myself a fan.

After a frustrated late night of not being able to find open dining after 11 on a weekday we landed here & stayed. Althought HOT I thought the food was really good despite mixed reviews. I enjoyed their HOT fresh seasoned waffle fries. I had 2 sliders as well and they were good! They were most def a step up from white castle. That doesn't say much I realize but those are the only sliders I have to relate to. My boyfriend got a normal sized burger and he was soo happy with how soft the bun was and that the onions were sauteed. Overall a great cheap meal. I will go back sober or drunk.

I love burgers. I like 'em thick and juicy and I like them with special toppings. Comet is just a counter top kind of sliderish place with so-so burgers. I think it is funny that they chose the name Comet because the de-facto name substitution rhymes with Comet, but it is far less than appetising. If you love burgers, I'd suggest the Red Coach or other fine places that make them thick and juicy.

Cheap, Quick, and Easy. Talking about the burger joint people... geez, get your mind out of the gutter. I recommend keepin' it simple with a burger-- last time I was there I ordered a veggie burger with cheese.. eh... stick to a burger. Also, you can get a shredded chicken and cheese sandwich (think Philly cheese steak sandie) which is out-of-this world! Outside dining is available, but as this place is laid back no frills joint, don't expect to sit on anything else but a plastic picnic table. Hey, at least you get to sit outside. I have also been to birthday parties (back in middle school) and grad parties here-- they are more than happy to accommodate larger crowds, but I'm sure the capacity of this place is 40 or less so the groups can't be THAT large! Their chocolate malts are made black and white style-- vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and malt; talk about embracing being a fatty.
(4)
Steve D.
I usually get the monster burger when I eat here since sliders really do nothing for me at all. The food is decent, but the service isnt. Granted, Ive not been to Comet before 1am so I can see how everyone migrates over there from the bars, but whenever I go there the server disappears and most of the time the cook drops my food off to me.

The tables are small, the place clearly has been there a while but they have damn good food. Anything from salads, burgers, and good french fries Comet Burger will have it. Whenever my friends and I are in Royal Oak we must stop by Comet Burger. There simply is no better place to eat. It is within walking distance of everything and after all that walking you need some place to fill up and stop for a good meal. The service is always great and the staff is always in a good mood.

If your an alcoholic or a pot head, this is the place for you. Or, if you're bandwagon fans of that 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' show. It's like a step above White Castle with alchies and stoners...

Amazing after bar food. The double cheeseburger is perfect. What I like about cometburgers that sets it apart from places doing sliders ( like Hunter House ) is that these guys keep their grill so sparkling clean, you don't get burned bits of previous cheeseburgers, and onions stuck to your burger. I hate burned stuff and theirs are always done perfectly : Cooked right before you , steamed to perfection. Chili cheese fries are done in a fashion consistent with every other coney island. Good, but not the best. This is good after bar food for drunk people. and dining at night is an experience. The waitresses are great. They are skilled at dealing with folks slurring their orders. One note of caution : if you get your burgers to go they slather ketchup on them, even if you don't ask for it. I learned the hard way. I like mine with pickles, onions only so when ordering to go, if you don't like ketchup make sure to let them know!

since moving to the detroit area, i'm surprised it took me so long to try this place. i had the two burger combo (cheese, lettuce, tomato) with onion rings. the burgers were great. i love thin burger patties, and these were up my alley. loved the gooey cheese, melty onions, and the lettuce, tomato and pickle added a freshness that made it stand out. my onion rings were very good. not grainy (coated in breadcrumbs), but more batter-y. fried after i placed my order. i didn't try the milkshakes, which will be my next visit. comet is now high on my list of place to get sliders when the mood strikes.

This is an excellent late night burger joint. They are pretty good during the day too. Comet has a large menu, and lots of really good burgers. The food is cheap, the inside looks sort of like an old soda shop, and the smells are priceless. The burgers really are good, perhaps the best in Royal Oak, but I must caution that the fries are SO-SO. SOmetimes they are pretty good, SOmetimes they are soggy pile of potato slices. If you want to be safe, just order another burger. They have good shakes, too, but if you are anything like me, find someone to split it with because I never finish when I get it for myself. Whatever you do, make sure you don't pass on the burgers.

Comet Burgers is an awesome Detroit style burger joint. The shakes and malts are the best in the area. It seemed like they really care! I would recommend this place for scratching that late night munchie itch!

This is an awesome late night burger joint. I admit that I've never considered going here while the sun is out - but after a long night in Royal Oak full of drinks, hookah, and dancing - this is usually the place that pops into my head at 2AM (I believe they stay open until at least 3AM on weekends if not later). I've even asked bouncers on the way out of a venue, "Sir, which way to Comet Burgers?" With a big grin on their face - they would point me in the direction of it. It's the place for sloppy, yet well constructed sliders. The fries are acceptable - and better with liquid cheese over it . The fried mushrooms are to die for (due to taste and/or nutritional value). Janelle P. and I could probably go there just to order the piping hot mushrooms that explode in your mouth when you eat em'! The burgers, onions, mushrooms, fries, etc are all steamed, grilled, and fried right in front of you and the service is great. The food hits the spot and leaves you with a smile on your face and only about $10 poorer. The interior is like a nice cozy old school American burger/fries/shake late night diner. If you are not a big fan of burgers or sliders - fear not! There are other options such as: philly cheesesteak, chicken & fish sandwiches, coney dog, ham & cheese, soups, salads, and even desserts. But the classic sliders w/everything on it and hot sauce w/fried mushrooms dipped in ranch and hot sauce is my favorite indulgence here. Check it out next time you're in Royal Oak! If you want sliders that don't taste diarrhea inducing like White Castle's and actually taste like they have real, grilled beef in them - then this is your place!

I have been here only twice, but love it! Once was at night, about 1am and the other during lunch time! The burgers are small, the beef patties are thin, just the way I like them! I love that they have a bar you can sit at, I'm a huge fan of diners with bars. The decor is super cool, very retro!! I don't find myself in Royal Oak to much, but if I'm ever there I will be sure to stop in!! You should to!!

We have never been during the day, only at night and usually after 1am... they are open till 3am Great burgers, with or without fried onions and cheese. The buns are grilled and steamed. Onion rings and fries are perfect deep fried friends to the burger. Coke products, shakes and ice cream or pie to top you off. This place does not try to be anything more that what it is. A old school burger joint that feeds the quick lunch crowd and the after bar crowd. And crowded it gets some evenings. The staff is great, I know if I had to work with that many drunks I would go postal. To help move the orders along when the place is packed at 2am , they will take your order as you walk in the door and then bring it to you at the long counter or one of the two or four top tables along the wall, in the summer there is a few tables outside.

Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.

(3)Nick T.
(4)Stacey C.
I've been eating burgers here for nearly a decade and I've never left unhappy. It's now an after school tradition with my son when. Brown cow, chili cheese fries and burgers. Delicious happiness.
(5)Jeff H.

(4)Naveen N.
Good late night burger place. Staff is very friendly and the food is made very quickly. They are above average burgers for Royal Oak
(4)Food G.
Been one of my favorite places to eat for years. Best sliders in town and the prices are very reasonable. i would like to see them update the place though, it has not changed really since its opening.
(5)Rebecca R.
(4)Sherry J.
Our family decided to do a slider tour. On my list tied 6th place with motts in Detroit out of 7stops. Not clean slow service burgers lean on meat taste ok. Not as greasy as motts. Good music.
(3)Ray H.
(3)G G.
Great burgers - I like the vibe in here (vibe - a word I swore if never use). Staff is always real friendly. I'll be back. Usually my go to place after a concert at Royal Oak Music Theater.
(4)Consumer Z.
Greasy food and great service. What more could you want in life?
(4)Max W.
In my opinion this is by far the best of the slider joints in oakland county with a much bigger menu and great ice cream. They do fantastic business been going here for 13 years haha. Best thing about royal oak
(5)Elliot P.
look...
(5)Blaise B.
I prefer Little Brothers Burgers, but Comet Burger is very similar and almost as good. Nothing special, but it's right downtown and serves good, cheap burgers. It's a small place, so don't bring a group if you plan to eat there. Open late though, so it's a great place to walk to after going out.
(3)Wendy K.
(4)Virginia C.
Great late night burgers after a bar crawl. This is where you want to go.
(4)William C.

(4)Robert W.
These sliders are as good as any you would get anywhere. Juicy, substantial, perfectly grilled onions. Hunter house in Birmingham has longevity but in terms of quality cannot compare to Comet Burger.
(5)Amy H.
I apologize for ever giving Comet Burger 4 stars. It is totally worthy of 5. I've decided that the burgers here may be an option as my "last meal."
(5)Ryan C.
(1)Dale E.
Don't believe that I've ever been here sober so I will try my best lol :) Best place to go after a night in royal oak. Awesome burgers, and even better chilli cheese fries. Favorite part about this place is the atmosphere. Really cool place to check out.
(5)Erica C.
(4)Ted J.
My friend invited me stating that this was the best burger in town. He was not wrong. The atmosphere is divey, small & cramped. They spent all there money on chef school apparently, cuz the food was great.
(4)Shelby G.
Their cherry cokes are possibly my favorite beverage ever. I wish I had a never ending cup of that stuff.
(4)Ray B.
Classic case of you get what they serve: food was decent and certainly fresh (cooked before your eyes) but the fries came first, then one sandwhich and when my son was done, my sandwhich arrived. The $4 milkshake isn't worth the money- drive to Ray's.
(3)Daniel S.
Americana. Order this: 2-3 comet's with cheese, fries (enough to share) and chocolate shake (or vanilla malt)... and maybe side of mayo if that's your thing. Don't even look at the menu, trust me on this one. Comet is one of the best slider joints in greater Detroit.
(5)Chris M.
(1)Jenn V.
(4)Myrtle M.
(1)Tom S.
I have been here twice and the food has always been fantastic. It has a very cool vibe for a hamburger joint. Open late for those of us with last minute hunger pains.
(4)Michael B.
Great burgers, really enjoy this place. Don't forget to get a shake and cheese fries too!!! Recommended!!
(4)George M.
Perfect after bar food. Greasy sliders with onions and pickles. Tastes good going down....but the next morn you regret it.
(3)Mark H.
(4)Krupa U.
(4)Michael C.
(5)Cristopher B.
(4)Jessica S.
(4)Richard F.
(2)kelly w.
(4)Steve D.
(3)Jacob F.
Had a milkshake and chicken philly that tasted great! Prices were reasonable, both cost me about $10. Great atmosphere and the staff is very nice. Great for late night munchies too as this is the best food you can get in the AM.
(4)Liz R.
love love love this place. I always bring friends and family from out of town here for a quick and affordable lunch. The staff is always nice and do an exceptionally good job during the early morning/after bar rush.
(5)Cal S.
Dive serving decent sliders and shakes.
(3)Matt K.
(5)David C.
If your an alcoholic or a pot head, this is the place for you. Or, if you're bandwagon fans of that 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' show. It's like a step above White Castle with alchies and stoners...
(2)Julio L.
(4)Sweet P.
since moving to the detroit area, i'm surprised it took me so long to try this place. i had the two burger combo (cheese, lettuce, tomato) with onion rings. the burgers were great. i love thin burger patties, and these were up my alley. loved the gooey cheese, melty onions, and the lettuce, tomato and pickle added a freshness that made it stand out. my onion rings were very good. not grainy (coated in breadcrumbs), but more batter-y. fried after i placed my order. i didn't try the milkshakes, which will be my next visit. comet is now high on my list of place to get sliders when the mood strikes.
(4)Parisa K.
(4)Jake T.
Comet Burgers is an awesome Detroit style burger joint. The shakes and malts are the best in the area. It seemed like they really care! I would recommend this place for scratching that late night munchie itch!
(5)speak n.
Great burger joint and kid friendly. For vegies, they have a vegie burger that's great. My son loves the place and we usually go once a month.
(4)Joe T.
(4)Kate E.
(5)Lola D.
Absolute, undeniable, crap, made from low quality products. I will not insult my taste buds like that again.
(1)George K.
(4)Greg V.
Absolutely the best old school burger place in SE Michigan.
(5)
