A basic Coney Island Restaurant, a no nonsense type of Restaurant. My Favorite Coney Island place in Michigan. A must have for myself when I'm in town. Plenty of street parking, basic Coney Island Menu, indoor seating only. Great service by a friendly staff !!

We have been coming many years and live in the downtown area. Never had a bad experience.. Until Friday 2/27/15. We came in the evening around 7:30. I ordered a hamburger and fries. At 2am I woke up DRENCHED in sweat and began puking with dihearea for the next 8 hours. It was honestly the worst experience in my life. The pain in my stomach was so bad- childbirth was a breeze compared to this! Thank god our 8 yr old did not get sick. He had ordered chicken tenders tho. Please, please check your meat! So this does not happen to anyone else. Thank you.

There is nothing I can really say bad about this place!! This is a complete 180 compared to the nasty one in Chestertucky. I met up with my boyfriend and friend for lunch while they had jury duty- ew! Service was excellent and speedy fast. I was full from breakfast but my boyfriend and I split cheese fries. Piping hot and fries were really crispy. My friend enjoyed her fries and pita. Everything was made perfectly. They had a two hour lunch break from jury duty and even though we al finished our food rather quickly we weren't rushed to leave. Waitress even offered us to-go cups for our drinks. Very very clean. I would definitely be back if I was in the area.

This place has been here for years and I've never gone until recently. I found this place on a lark. My wife and I dropped by and had some coneys, etc. The place was relatively clean, the service was quite good and the coneys were some of the best around. Are there better? Yes, of course. The service is fast, the food is better than decent and it's well worth a stop of you're in the mood for a quick bite!!!!

It was Sunday morning and my husband and I were out and about and decided to see what was happening in Mt. Clemens in terms of breakfast. Apparently nothing. We drove around and everything was closed. We said hey lets go to that Coney how bad can it be.......insert long pause here......oh let's try it anyway I said! ahaha! I'll just make a list coffee - gross. served in a dirty cup with someones lipstick on it. GAG!! options - not many food - greasy and over done waitress - smelled like a burning cigarette i felt bad we interrupted her break! price - typical ladies room - GNARLY and cold like a meat locker! I'm open for suggestions on places to have breakfast in mt. Clemens. obviously this is not the place. eww Maybe other meals are better here. I hope so!

Not too many places are open at 9:00pm on a Sunday night. So Gus' was it - had an ice cream cake sundae and it was delicious! I am a repeat customer.

Cannot give an accurate review due to not proceeding with our visit when seeing a DOG (not the processed kind) seated at a table. Maybe we will visit after the health department does so. Gross.

OK, it's "just" a coney island, but I was there so now I have to review it. With a great view of the Macomb County District Court, we chose to dine here because of where we parked (downtown Mt. Clemens parking sucks). I ordered the #2 breakfast special - 2 eggs over medium, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links, ham, hash browns, wheat toast, and coffee. While it in no was was the best breakfast I've had, it was reasonably priced ($4.50), served fast & hot. All in all, not bad! My wife had the large chili cheese fries, which she could only eat half of, so I gallantly stepped in to assist her. The fires were good and crispy, and the chili not bad either. Could have used some onions and mustard, but we never asked. Service was good & friendly, the place was clean. If in the area again under similar timing, I'd stop back in.

Went to Gus's last night. My boyfriends Gyro was some slices of meat slapped on a Pita not very appealing. My food was decent but the issue was the fruit flies. HEY GUS HERE IS A TIP Goodbye Fruit Flies: To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass, fill it 1/2' with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid; mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup an d gone forever! Do this and maybe there will be more then 6 people in your coney at 6:00pm.

Yes the place is dirty and yes you will have stuff floating in your water. On the bright side the chicken hoggie is amazingly fat and delicious. Wait staff is nice also.

TERRIBLE! Its a coney island yes, which pretty much sums up its quality but this restaurant takes it to a whole new level. Ive eaten there twice and will never go back. Hair in food, sweaty greasy cooks not wearing gloves, my food being just under room temperature and waitress' looking like they just came from an orphanage. Please dont eat here, go to the coney across the street its much better.
