Great dinner, had the beef pot pie which was awesome. The pie crust was great. This restaurant is sort of tucked in behind a mini shopping centre and could be hard to find. They have larger pies that you can take and bake and I may do that sometime

Had a pretty bad experience here a few days ago. We were running a bit behind, and we ordered like 20 minutes before closing time. Kind of annoying, I understand that, but there's a closing time for a reason. Came all the way from Saginaw. Ordered our food, the cashier rushed us a bit, but it was fine. Took a while to get our food, and after 10 minutes they let us know they ran out of one of our orders. Okay. Ordered something else, and waited 'til after 9 to get it. Not our fault there. The cook started singing "closing time" pretty obnoxiously. She then asked, loudly, "are there still people here?" To which her manager, the cashier, said yes. She then crept around the corner and stared at us. Most awkward thing ever. I understand you want to go home, I get it, but we were still eating and we're only here so late because you didn't know you were out of some product. Anyway. My company was less annoyed than I was. Not sure if I'll be back, and it's a shame because we've always had great service in the past.

Walked into this location around 1pm on a Sunday. No greeting upon walking in. The 3 of us ordered chicken pot pie. The man explained they had one. When we asked how long for 2 more, he asked someone I'm assuming was his superior. She literally mumbled "what are the odds that 3 people come in and order pot pies". What irked me about that comment is that #1 we are customers and I felt the "people" reference was a bit rude. We were offered no apology or explanation and I was offered half off a day old pie instead. Pass. And pass on this location. I have enjoyed other Michigan locations with no problem.

We love to eat here. The pie is of course wonderful, but we love the soup and sandwich combo. The tomato bisque soup is really great.

The pies are outstanding. The rest of the menu is decent, but frankly the pie is what brings us in.

Again, I usually don't eat GT Pies, as I much prefer Achatz, but I do like their sandwiches and salads. The other baked goods are yummy too. This is a new location and has free wi-fi.

Love the soups and sandwiches...and of course the pies! The fireplace area is charming, and a nice place to land for a meal on a cold day. I also like the little menu shout-outs to regional ingredients. the staff is friendly and helpful. In addition to the main dining area there are two separate dining rooms -- a tiny alcove that would be nice for, say, a family get-together, and a conference room. There's a small outdoor dining area for warm weather -- unfortunately it looks out onto a parking lot and dumpster area, so I'd be disinclined to eat al fresco there. I wish the restaurant location were somewhere else -- not for my sake but for the restaurant's, which is tucked away at the back end of an old strip mall and is likely to be missed by travelers.

Food is good -- soups and sandwiches are tasty. Atmosphere is nice and cozy. It's a fairly good place to chat. But it's not a very good value for the money. Portions aren't that big, and prices are fairly high for what you get.

I would NOT recommend GTPC in Midland,Mi. It's the 3rd time I've been there since they opened and now I know why I don't frequent it more often. I'm not sure if it was the manager, but I think it might have been, who ook our order. I asked about gluten free food. She said they have nothing. I asked about salads. She was rude and not at all accomodating. She, obviously didn't care or have any interest in our business. We did eat there and had a salad, which is over-priced and frankly not that good. Their service is not good, nor is the food anything special. Good, friendly service would be a plus. One out of three would be nice...good food, good prices, good service. I would rank them a D+. Hopefully, they will strive harder in the future, if they want to succeed in this competitive business.
