BJs catered my wedding which in two weeks will be 1 year ago. I could of written a novel for my experience with BJs. BJs only sent me 1 email ( to an email address I had told them multiple times not to use ) before telling me they were going to send me to collections for $350 just THIS PAST WEEKEND for "The dip" (which is almost a year later with no contact, and it ended up not being "the dip" and actually being the bar tab) . Never received a phone call, an invoice, statement or anything in the mail or by phone telling me my card was declined. When I asked Suzanne in management when she tried to run the card that she had on file she said "it doesn't have a date it just says declined.". No one EVER called or sent me ANYTHING in the mail so I asked when they tried to call or send me a statement in the mail and Suzanne said "I have no documentation that says when we tried to call you so I can't say whether we did or didn't." SERIOUSLY?! I would have taken the FIVE GRAND we spent on BJs catering and hired someone else if I knew I was going to be treated so poorly and unprofessionally!!!

The only thing stopping them from having 5 starts is they don't serve the food they cater in the restaurant and their catering is actually better than their restaurant food. This is the best michigan caterer, highly recommended and most reasonably priced.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I went there with my family and we were all very unhappy. The buffet salad bar had pieces of rotten lettuce in it. The ingredients to put on top of the salad were all mixed up. The actual food in the buffet was an abomination. Everything tasted like shit. I had a little bit of the mashed potatoes, fries, lasagna, fried frog legs and some sort of fish. Oh my gosh. I could barely eat any of it. I've never seen a buffet that was so horrible. Immediately as I was eating it I knew that there was something wrong. I had the most horrible food poisoning the night after. I literally was lying in tears because it was so bad. Please do not eat here.

While not a customer I am not impressed with these caterers. On Aug 9 they catered a private party at Ferry Beach in Charlevoix. Apparently BJs is immune to laws and common decency as they set up their catering truck and grill in the clearly designated handicap parking zone. When asked to move they replied that there was probably still room for one car. Rude, no sense of decency and not wanted in a town that values its visitors with special needs.

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking an ordinary catering event to an extraordinary and memorable occasion. All the way from the initial contact with you, your accomadating all my changes, the food, the service to the clean-up was flawless. Everyone is still talking about how delicious everything was! Yet, what made it really stand out to me was the outstanding service. They made plates for my mom and mother in law and delivered to the tables. They cleaned up and put all the leftovers in the refrigorator. We felt that they should have been invited as guests rather than just the "cooks". 10 stars are not enough for what you did for us. THANK YOU!

This was not on the top of my list. We dined later in the evening and the salad bar and buffet were in poor condition. The lettuce had rotten pieces in it and there was a film over most of the items on in the steam table. The service was attentive and friendly and a BLT was ordered that was exceptional.

The best buffet I had in a long time. Food was hot, not tepid. Good selection. The only negative was the ribs were dry and over cooked.

This is my husbands go to place for the buffet. He just loves it. I prefer to order off the menu as they have a nice selection. The wait staff is always nice and attentive, very helpful. The coolest thing about this restaurant though is their text club. We get texts all the time telling us to come in at lunch and get soup and a sandwich for 4.99$ or to come in at dinner and buy one buffet and get one free. It is really nice! Especially nice when you have a big family and its a restaurant you like anyways.

If an all you can eat buffet is your thing, I think this is the best one we have in town. The dinners off the menu are large and pretty good too. The cooking is standard American, good solid stuff, nothing exotic or spicy.

I had the Buffett and i have to give them that they are trying to elevate themselves to a real fancy place and did a nice job at it. They had very good flavored clams and shrimps that are tasty. The salad bar was quite competent and the prime rib was good. What was a real treat for me was the frog legs and fries fish. Yummy. Did I mention the sundae bar is fun as well. Our waiter was really attentive and rough around the edges but he was trying really hard and that's worth more than a snooty waiter who gives u a fake smile.
