We have had lunch at Minnie's twice since new management took over, and have had a pleasant experience both times. The food is fairly basic, but it is well-prepared and presented, and they offer homemade pies and soups daily. We especially liked the attentive wait staff, who go out of their way to be of service, and add a homey feel to the place. Four of us ate there the last time in town, and each had a different dish, with good reactions from all.

I came for lunch. The food was so so, and the kitchen also mesed up my order. I won't come back for lunch, but I might give their breakfast a chance.

We were just driving through Allegan and decided to look for a place for breakfast. I had the corned beef hash which was fine. Just basic breakfast food. The waitress sold us on paying for the special upgraded whole grain bread...meh, it's actually very similar to the multigrain bread that I regularly eat. Next time, I'll just get the basic wheat instead.

Great breakfast place - accommodated a bigger group of us - 10 people on a Monday morning. The waitress we had - Angie I think - was fantastic. Attentive, friendly, we loved her. They have some specials, but I stuck to your basic scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, hashbrowns. Good food, cheap prices. The service was kind of slow, but we didn't mind. Definitely go back!

Without knowing, my girlfriend and I has made it a morning tradition to patron this place on a Sunday. The breakfast are the typical American fare (haven't tried the lunch yet), but the prices are very reasonable, and the wait staff are very friendly. Located in a quiet area of downtown Allegan, I believe it used to be an old post office. As busy as this place gets in the morning, parking is easy to find, never had to wait for a table, and the orders come out quick. Portion sizes are perfect.

Such an awesome cozy downtown restaurant. Definitely my favorite in Allegan. The service is outstanding, food to die for. I've gone there a handful of times, and any of their sandwiches are great! I would advice not going around lunch time due to it being pretty busy.

Clean. Great service. Good food. Very good daily specials. Prices on menu are matched very well compared with food quality and quantity. Never any disappointments.

We wanted to try some place we hadn't been to and this place was rated well on Yelp. VERY cute old type ambiance, friendly and attentive staff, very good food. I couldn't find the hours listed anywhere, but they close at 2:30pm. We both had the chicken and gravy special which didn't look like enough food at first ($6.99) but it was DELICIOUS and plenty to eat. Outstanding mashed potatoes made from scratch. Then we split the pie of the day, blackberry ($2.99), and even though we were full, we had to restrain ourselves from LICKING THE PLATE! ! We've lived in the area 15 years and have never been to this hidden gem. Will definitely be back.

Good food, great pie, friendly staff, good service, and comfortable atmosphere. Whenever I come to town for work, it is Minnie's every day of the week. Always save room for pie!

I went here for dessert and had Apple pie and coffee. The pie was very good and the coffee was good. Friendly staff and prompt service. Nice dinner specials on the menu but I had already eaten.

Great hometown diner. Specials are always very good. The wait staff is friendly. You can't go wrong with the club sandwich. Be sure to make room for the homemade pies. Yum!

This is a great breakfast and lunch place also with wonderful pies made by the owner, Alma. The waitstaff is great and the menu a nice surprise for a neighborhood place in downtown historic Allegan.
