I've been going to Mr Bagel by the Maine Mall for a few years now. Although I've been to a few other Mr Bagel locations in Maine, this one is the best, by far. The Flagel (flattened bagel) is a hit and is the best thing to get your breakfast or lunch sandwich on. The menu is always changing with new ideas. Can't think of a bad sandwich I've ever had there. I highly recommend this place of you are near the mall, want something fast, healthy and priced just right. They also cater which we've used for company lunches.

Bagels for snacks? Sure! We stopped by Mr. Bagel-Mall in the autumn season and they had an impressive amount of pumpkin flavored pastries. From pumpkin bagels, pumpkin soup to pumpkin shaped sugar cookies, you can walk out of here tasting the fall flavors. I ordered a toasted pumpkin bagel ($1) and a sugar cookie. They did have a very good variety of bagels which should not be missed. The staff were extremely friendly because they offered me a sample of their homemade soup. Mr. Bagel-Mall is located across the street from the Maine Mall with tons of free parking outside. Thank you Maine for those carbs!

I had late lunch recently at the Mister Bagel location across the road from the Maine Mall. I stopped in here around 2PM. For takeout, I ordered the Reuben ($6.95 plus tax) served with a small side (I chose pasta salad) and dill pickle spear. The food was made to order in the open food prep area. The sandwich was hot pressed for a few minutes. The Reuben had a good amount of thin sliced deli corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, & 1000 island dressing on toasted marble rye, a decent tasting hot sandwich. The side of pasta salad (rotini) was firm and had a great zingy taste, but three bites and poof!!! The service here was prompt for my visit, as I entered the store with no customers ahead of me. However, the customers who came in after me had to wait a few moments since there was momentarily only one employee working behind the counter. Another worker returned from a break and completed my to go order. I would probably stop in here again for lunch if I happen to be in the area.

I used to go the the Brunswick location often and the staff there is top notch. Always enjoy the everything bagel, double toasted with bacon scallion cream cheese. Beware they load the cream cheese on! This Portland location lacks in Customer Service but the food is still great.

I have always loved Mr Bagel's in the Portland area and this is my favorite one. I especially like that they always have a taste basket of free nibbles to munch on if you happen to have a wait. I love the fact that they are not skimpy with the cream cheese and they always have a great assortment of bagels. Try the double dipped cinnamon...their cinnamon roles are wonderful too. The best bagels in town are at Cafe 158 near SMCC but these come in a close second.

I've been going to Mr Bagel Mall for a little over a year now. I had no idea it existed until I was starving for breakfast food one morning on my way to work and was desparately trying to avoid the fast food options in the mall area. The more I go, the the more I love it. I eat pretty simply, a bagel with butter or muffins or cookies, but they are the best bagels and muffins/cookies around! I am always pleased with the service: respectful, friendly, fast, and always thankful when I leave tips. No matter how busy it is, they seem to always be on their A game. The few times I've ordered a dozen bagels, cream cheese, knives, etc. for work, they have put together my over very fast and were super patient when I was ordering. I wish more small bagel shops were like this one. I never leave angry or stressed out that my order was wrong. Thank you Mr Bagel Mall, you always make my day :)

I've seen signs for Mister Bagel numerous times on trips to Portland and never had time to stop til yesterday. I love bagel places, and this one didn't disappoint (how could it with a name like Mister Bagel?). My partner and I decided to share a reuben sandwich. Yum. Real cabbage, the right cheese and sauce and meat piled high on a delicious tomato basil bagel. It was huge. And the price was great. It came with a pickle and your choice of side (we went with the potato salad which was pretty bland but decent). Be warned, you have to eat your bagel fast if you get the reuben as the sauce was saturating the bottom section of our bagel within minutes. Did I mention it was delicious? We were kicking ourselves for not ordering another sandwich to try!
