What a great resource to the locals in Portland! This is the kind of neighborhood deli you need if you live in a city. The Black Tie Company (Union Kitchen) has everything you need to survive, great homemade deli sandwiches, a nice deli case of fine salads, wine, beer, healthy juice drinks, tables to sit and enjoy your meal, coffee, deserts ... they've got it all. I had the chicken caesar wrap (great), my wife had the cranberry turkey wrap (wow - we actually shared them both), Our friends loved their sandwiches as well. The prices are very reasonable - more affordable than a more formal restaurant IMHO. Suggestions to management: add better signage out front. We almost passed you by - The Union Kitchen sign had us confused - we couldn't tell if you sold kitchen cabinets, kitchen appliances (we didn't see any deli signs out front). Yelp needs more photos of your great deli sandwiches (we ate ours before we thought of it), the wine racks, the coffee and deserts, the deli case, the take home foods, the menu.

I have ordered catering from Black Tie numerous times for both breakfast and lunch. They are always on time with delivery, their sandwiches and salads are delicious, and they are professional and courteous. Be warned ahead of time though, the sandwich servings are huge. You could probably safely get away with ordering half the amount that you think you need if it's for a business meeting.

The sandwiches are always good & simple. And quick! I frequent BTC bc it is close to my work. Today I was suddenly reminded that there are such good people in this world. Some older gentleman was behind me in line at the deli and paid for my lunch today he was so sweet about it. And leaves and says "have a fantastic weekend!" I Love that positive energy!!

We worked with the Black Tie Company for months last year to plan our fall destination wedding in Portland. The staff were wonderful and our wedding at The Portland Club was perfect! Even the servers were excited for us, all of the staff were genuinely friendly and knew how to manage any details that came up on the big day. The food was a big hit, they even had a vegan option and it was delicious. Bar service, cupcakes, venue, and other details were all great. It was great to work with a company that made our vision come to life, and at the same time let us and our families enjoy the celebration!

Sandwiches and pannini's made to order, Lots of sides too. Nice atmosphere and you can eat inside or outside the cook will bring it too you. Not a big panninni fan - but it was GREAT! Love Old Port great day trip!

The Black Tie did my wedding and they were wonderful. the food was delicious and the staff was great. I know they do lots of cool locations and totally recommend them, especially at the Port City Music Hall!
