Convenient, fairly priced, good ice cream. I always get the same thing, so I am actually not sure about all the flavors. I feel like they have a fair amount from recalling the size of the menu. Dairy Queen is coming to town, I hope it doesn't hurt this local business.

No samples??? No credit cards. It is cheap but it's just giffords ice cream which you can buy at Hanford down the street. Go downtown to Morton's moo which is home made.

Excellent prices and fantastic made-in-Maine ice cream. I loved my Maine blueberry ice cream. The portion was generous and under $3!

Great little ice cream stand!! They serve Gifford's Maine ice cream in many different flavors and they match Ben and Jerry's for flavor and quality. They are very reasonably priced for their cones. They have a small 6-8 table inside sitting area and large parking lot area to indulge prior to getting back on the road. Great snack stop on your way to Bar Harbor and/or Acadia National Park. They are located right beside a locally owned "Giant Sub" shop if you want to catch lunch/dinner prior to the desert.

I second the comments of Lynne S....great ice cream with some great local flavors. the other thing to note is that the prices here are incredibly low compared to any other "premium" ice cream. It's easiest to stop here on the way south....if you are northbound, you have to turn across a busy (almost continuous) line of traffic in the summer. But it's worth the effort!

Serving up Maine-made Giffords ice cream, the Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar is a cute little ice cream stand on the way to Bar Harbor. A word about Giffords ice cream - it is good. Really good. It's locally made in Maine with local ingredients. They have some really fun and creative flavors like Maine lobster tracks, Maine black bear, etc. Everyone knows about Moose tracks, so I opted for something called Deer tracks. It was super creamy espresso ice cream with fudge swirls and Heath bar chunks. It was basically heaven melting in my mouth! My guy got a caramel peanut butter cookie dough. While it wasn't AS good as mine, it was still creamy, smooth and full of flavor. Not only was it great, but it was a bargain! A small ice cream was just under $2. With this taste and value, I do hope Gifford's follows Ben & Jerry's into supermarkets everywhere - starting with Massachusetts!

Delicious soft serve and hard-ice cream flavors. Blueberry is a hit! There is a lot of outdoor seating - from tables on the side, to benches in the back with an old boat and a tee-pee type construction. Toddlers have a blast!

Pushy and rude staff nearly earned this a one star experience, but the blueberry soft serve flavor and portion helped me not get too ticked off trying to buy an ice cream. Be warned, no credit cards. "hard serve" is a moderate selection of Giffords ice cream (which you can buy at Hannaford's). For best value, get a soft serve. Yes, the blueberry soft serve was fantastic. (the unisex bathroom smelled weird, even for a small place like this)

This is our favorite ice cream place anywhere, Generous servings, relatively low prices, Gifford's ice cream (the best!), and service is prompt and mostly friendly. I say "mostly" because at times the lines get long and the staff is harried, sometimes by customers who aren't prepared to order when their turn comes. But we hit Blueberry Hill 3-4 times a week whenever we are in the Elsworth-Trenton area.

The prices at Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar are low enough as to make it almost cheaper to eat every meal of your life here...all in ice cream! Not a bad way to go! The portions are exceedingly generous, the Gifford's ice cream is always amazing, but the real star here is their blueberry soft serve, with the orange pineapple soft serve coming in a close second. The blueberry soft serve, covered with chocolate sprinkles, is one of my Blueberry Hill favorites! The orange pineapple soft serve tastes much like a Creamsicle, with just a hint of pineapple. Plus, if you're feeling brave, they have a freezer full of "mistakes," that they will sell, (your) sight unseen, for just one dollar! Happy accident? Culinary disaster? For a dollar, it's worth the fun of finding out!
