My husband and I stayed here in April 2014. We were in the Packard room which is upstairs. The stairs are a little tight so just take that into account. I'm so glad that we chose to stay at a B&B rather than the standard hotel chains. Amy and Mark were so welcoming and made it feel like we could chat with them if we wanted but were totally noninvasive. Their dogs are so friendly and a fun touch to staying at a B&B. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was so good. Really, my husband couldn't stop talking about the scones we had while we were there. We'd love to come back if we are in the area again.

We had an amazing experience at the Packard House! It started when I sent out several yelp messages to B & Bs in Bath, Me, indicating that we weren't sure of our timing because it was based on the arrival of a new baby. Amy and Mark immediately responded that they had availability and a special promotion going on. They were happy to be flexible. The big day came and I booked a Saturday arrival. Friday morning, we decided to go that afternoon instead. "No problem " was the response. After a discussion of foot boards on beds, and extra tall bed partners, we took the Garden suite at $20 more per night, because the single room had the aforementioned foot board. Upon arrival, Amy let us know that because of a cancellation, she had a less expensive single sans foot board, decreasing her income by $40, but increasing my loyalty by 100%! The house is so beautifully decorated! Extremely clean and comfortable with an antique-y feel but not overdone. And the breakfasts!!!! Amy bakes her own artisan bread and it is extraordinary! She also makes her own granola, rich with pumpkin seeds. I felt like I was on vacation and wished I could have spent more time at the Inn! Amy and Mark are chatty but not intrusive and their dogs, who I loved, have been trained to stay invisible unless requested. I am so happy that we have a beautiful new reason ( our granddaughter) to visit Bath. Can't wait to return in spite of -13 temps! I have never felt so well cared for!

I can't tell you how much I loved my stay at the Benjamin Packard House. Our room was cozy and delightful, our breakfast was delicious and prepared with the utmost care (everything from the granola to the breakfast quiche was homemade), and the B&B was just beautifully decorated - it felt as if I had stepped into a Pottery Barn Catalogue but instead of new furniture from Pottery Barn the pieces were antique. The owner provided us with water and chocolates in our room in the evening as well as turned on the air conditioning for our arrival. We were asked for our breakfast preferences upon arrival and the owners made us feel as if we were at home. Although the town of Bath lacks tasty restaurants and much to do, this B&B is definitely worth a visit for a night. It is easy to get to beaches and other areas in Midcoast Maine from this location. 2 thumbs up.

This place is great!!!... Clean, clean, clean!!!! Friendly, friendly, friendly!!! We were more than 3 hours late getting here due to a late flight...Marc waited up for us, was very accommodating and even helped us with our luggage at the very late hour!!!.. Marc and Amy are great!!! Breakfast was creative and tasty!!! Wish we were there longer... We would definitely recommend this place and we'll be back at some point!!! Thanks to both of them for their incredible hospitality!!!

WOW! After spending a week traveling at B&B's throughout New England... I must say this is the BEST B&B we stayed at. The home was very clean, the house is tastefully decorated, and the food was amazing. Amy's hospitality is out of this world. Her love for this home is put in all the details... For example.... A weeks weather forecast framed in your room, linens ironed perfectly, ice water and chocolate delivered in the evening, and the list goes on and on. We will come back! It deserves more than 5 stars!

We walked in, having never been there before, and Amy greeted us by name, welcomed us, and immediately showed us around. My wife noted--and not for the last time--how clean everything was, to which I responded "yeah, but it still feels homey, lived in, and comfortable; I'm not afraid to sit on the furniture or touch anything." We were just in time for afternoon tea, served with amazing Ginger Cookies that reminded my wife of the one's her grandfather used to make. Amy gave us the recipe before we left, we loved them so much. She asked us if we needed any recommendations for dinner or things to do; I asked about dinner, she told us about three local places (of different types and varieties) and gave us menus to look at. We ended up at the local BBQ restaurant, and it was just as good as she said it was. When we got back, Mark had a fire going in the fireplace, waiting to help us warm up from the chilly April weather, and asked us what we thought of the BBQ. While we were gone, someone had refreshed the ice water in our room--so we got some water, and spent the rest of the evening curled up in front of the fireplace, reading on a comfy sofa. The next morning, we were treated to a tremendous breakfast, with fresh fruit, homemade granola, fluffy Belgian waffles, sausage, and--most importantly--warm chocolate muffins. We drank some tea in front of the fire, chatted with Mark and Amy for a bit, and left--relaxed, refreshed, and happy. All in all, I don't know if I've ever had a more pleasant experience at any hotel, inn, or B&B.
