Hubby and I went here years ago and loved the food. I recently found myself in this neighborhood and decided to pick up dinner before heading home. We got the Pla Pat Pet and the Spicy Tofu.. Eekk. S-A-L-T-Y !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both were almost inedible. When I tried the first dish, I thought someone must have accidentally spilled a container of salt into it...but the second dish tasted just as bad. I actually couldn't distinguish between the fish entrée and the tofu entrée...because they both left a taste in my mouth like gargling with salt water. The fried spring rolls were delicious ... Wait staff very courteous and food was ready fast.... But don't spend 40. for a dinner that you can only eat the appetizer !!! Will never be back.

Awwww man, super bummed this place was a huge let down. Needed a quick take out dinner around 8 on a weeknight so stopped in. Husb was bummed there was no drunken noodle - he had pad knee Mao (chili garlic sauce) and I had chicken pad Thai per my usual. It was ready fast - but when we got home to dig in we both found the noodles were practically white and dry - completely missing (or scant used) any sauce or flavor. Sriracha was instantly added for both of us which didn't help enough so I had to make a quick faux pad thai sauce to mix in. Also my chicken tasted like it had been cooked by being boiled, dry and bland. And someone should tell the checkout boy - never ever ever ask a woman if she's pregnant. He's lucky I am :) but geez I really didn't think I looked it yet. Now pass the pad Thai and pickles.

I have eaten here probably 30 times in the past 5 years and it is the most consistently made and delicious Thai food in Maine.

Thai Dish, where have those delicious flavors gone? Yesterday my husband & I ordered (to go) Pad Thai & Thai Dish Fried Rice. My Pad Thai was nearly tasteless! There was the tiniest hint of flavor but very little. Eating it was like simply eating rice noodles for the most part. Therefore I ate just a little! Husband's Thai Dish Fried Rice was pretty good but lacking the intense flavor it had before. The only item we enjoyed was the spring roll with the wonderful sauce. Unless we hear things have gone back to normal with flavors, the spring roll will be the only item we may purchase from Thai Dish. 2 visits ago I ordered fish & herbs which had always been sensational. Not anymore! The dish seemed fresh, but the intense delicious flavor was lacking. I told the server this. Yesterday following our order to go, I phoned Thai Dish about the nearly flavorless Pad Thai. The gal said she has been hearing other such comments lately about the food lacking flavor. Thai Dish, if you are simply saving money, this practice will backfire & you will lose business. So sad! Or perhaps you simply needs new cooks or chefs.

Been going here for years. March 7, 2015 there was five of us. The waiter sits us down and proceeds to fill water glasses. 30 minutes later, I asked if he is our waiter? He said he will be right with us. 10 minutes later, he takes our order. Not once when we first came in did he ask if we wanted a drink or appetizer. When I come here, it is usually for lunch. The portion size for lunch is the same portion size for the dinner size,but double the money. So we get our meal 30 minutes later, not once did our waiter ask if we needed anything or how things are? I get the bill and gratuity is added, because we had five people. I did not see anywhere, where they will charge gratuity for over five people. I was forced to pay the waiter a tip that he did not deserve. Thai Dish in my opinion has gone down hill. Their prices and services need to be over hauled badly.

Best place in town, way better than any other Thai place I've had! Be sure to order the curry duck or the spicy fish.

Had tried another Thai in Lewiston and were looking for a different place. Had been by this place several times and it looked on the outside a little ordinary. But don't go by the outside. Inside we found very freindly staff and delicious food. The flavors were more subtle and varied than other places we've tried including a favorite place of ours down home in Pennsylvania. The cocunut soup favored lime and was lighter on the cocunut milk which I appreciated. The spring rolls were light and delicate. The main dishes were delightful. The wine selection was sparse but I didn't feel gauged by the price. My wife and I came out of the restaurant raving about the meal.

Love this place! In my opinion, it's far better than the other one across town (in Lewiston). My favorite is the green curry with tofu. Although I prefer the tofu deep fried, I usually go for steamed, just to avoid the extra calories. Even so, the dish is wonderful. And their pad thai is fantastic, too. Some restaurants spice their foods to the point of discomfort - perhaps to hide the fact that there's no actual flavor. Thai Dish gets both the spiciness and the flavor absolutely right.

Have come here over the years an was very happy with their food, dine in and take out service. Upon ordering the Thai scallop 4 star hot for delivery along with Fresh Spring rolls, Once I dug in, I quickly discovered there was no chili sauce added at all on the Thai Scallop. The rolls were just that, Fresh and delish. Their peanut sauce is awesome. So I call and ask about my order. They put me on hold for 4 min 30 sec and I finally hang up and call back. They must have been busy? It was about 430 In any event, when I tell them I was on hold they apologize and I proceed to tell them my dilemma. The young man talks to mgr and they tell me they can send over the chili powder in 10 mins. Well by that time my food is cold So they send over the driver to pick up my food and are going to deliver my new order. I am hesitant but I agree and they bring me back a fresh order (or I hope they did) complete with a few more scallops and #4 heat. And hot it was but I like it! I have had the #5 heat and that just ruins the flavor of the food. IMO. Food was good and fresh with plenty of veggies. I give them 3 stars for their service on this particular order. Normally it would be a 4 star rating but they really screwed up. I would come back but I recommend checking your order before the driver leaves or just pick it up.

Girlfriend and I went in here on a whim and got take out. WOW We got the pad Thai and yellow chicken Curry and they were both phenomenal. I actually ate past the point of discomfort. The awning says they have a Boston location also.

I'm not a huge Thai fan, so take this with a grain of salt. I've had two dishes there before, a rice and a noodle dish. Each were very good, without an overpowering curry flavor, more of a fresh, crisp flavor! Location kinda sux as there was a drunk guy trying to do his best to get crushed in the street, but the noodles were great! The peanut suace is killer!

Had the Rama Garden with duck and fresh spring rolls. Both were excellent. Good, personable service. Rama Garden's peanut sauce is quite tasty, especially when paired with the hot chili sauce, and the peanut sauce for the spring rolls (different from the Rama Garden sauce) was also very good. Prices reasonable. Highly recommended.

Lewiston, Maine isn't known for its spectacular or authentic Asian cuisine. But when the craving hits, there are some decent places in town that are satisfying. Thai Dish in Auburn, for example, is a good place to take care of a hankering for Thai food (but not tempura . . . I've never heard of a Thai place that doesn't have tempura on their menu). Now, there's nothing particularly special about the atmosphere - it's kind of flat and unimpressive. There's nothing particularly special about the wait staff - they were slow and forgetful. There's nothing particularly special about the menu - it's overpriced and offers fewer options than other Thai restaurants in town. But the food? Specifically the "Rama Garden"? THE RAMA GARDEN?! That right there is one helluva mouthgasm. The vegetables were plentiful and were different than the standard go-to Thai options everyone else seems to always use (and that variety was much appreciated). The tofu was perfectly prepared in my opinion: it had a nice crispier texture on the outside, and a softer liquidier center (so many places undercook it, leaving it slimy or the texture of baby food). And the sauce? The peanut sauce? It was glorious. Velvety, flavorful, and neither over or underwhelming with the "peanutbuttery" taste. It was the perfect blend of spices; trust me when I say I could have swum in a bathtub full of the sauce. And the leftovers were also awesome (how kick-ass is it when cold leftovers are just as good as the hot meal itself?). I would definitely come back here for a plate of the "Rama Garden" again - but, I might go elsewhere in town for my tempura or iced tea fix.

I'm a bit torn over how many stars to give Thai Dish. By my Massachusetts standards, when it's good, it's a 5, when it's bad it's a 3. By my Maine standards, this is by far THE BEST Thai food you will find in the LA area, and it's usually pretty good. My family has been going to Thai Dish for about 8 years now and it continues to be our favorite restaurant in the area. The decor is typical for a Thai restaurant and the service is always friendly. I don't think I've ever had to wait to be seated. The food used to be comparable to what you'd find in major cities, but I think they switched cooks a couple of years ago and the quality has gone down a little. The flavors are not quite as subtle as they used to be and the food can occasionally be too salty. I think they might have started trying to cater a little more to "American" palates. That said, this is still pretty great for the area. Try the Fried Butterflies appetizer. I like most of the noodle dishes (Pad See Ew, Pad Ke Mao, Pad Thai...). The Panang and Matsaman curries are pretty good but sometimes a liiiittle too salty. I don't eat fish but the rest of my family really likes the Pla Pa Pet. If you're looking for Thai in the LA area, this is your best bet.

I ordered the chicken Pad Thai (3-stars spicy) and chicken satay, to go. When I opened the Pad Thai I was worried it was going to be bland since it was pretty pale. But after the first bite, I was a fan. I've never had Pad Thai that pale but that flavorful before. And 3-stars spicy was plenty -- most of the time at places I order 4-stars. The satay was good, as was the peanut sauce. I'd order again.

By far the best Thai in LA!!! I must eat there at least a couple Times a week and it is consistently delicious food! Never a let down, if you want Thai, you want ThaiDish!!!

Underwhelming at best. I would be very shocked to find a Thai chef in the kitchen. Lacked authenticity and the balance of flavors necessary in any Thai fare. Even the Pad Thai noodles, the most popular Thai dish among American consumers, was a terrible, watery mess. The Yum Nua (steak salad) was not prepared or presented well either. Southeast Asian food preparation is an art form. Not only a balance of what key elements but the order in which they are introduced into the cooking. This is not something one can "wing." The restaurant should have been packed for the season, day of the week and the time of evening we dined. It was barely attended at all. In addition. neither the server nor bartender nor food runner could answer any questions I asked; nor could they offer intelligent recommendations regarding the menu. They had not, it seemed, even tasted the dishes. And I, nor the persons who accompanied me, will be returning under the current chef and/or management.
