Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This place is run by disrespectful racist employees. They always seem to forget to give me something in my food or complain that I eat too much salsa (2 trips per visit is too much??). Tonight, they took away the salsa 15 minutes before the closed and then told me they have to take it away so they can close on time. I should come back tomorrow for salsa.. And I JUST bought food.. Idiots.. Someone came to pickup food and she gave them extra salsa, but I had to leave with none.. The older racist woman should be fired and I highly recommend boycotting this place due to this disrespectful behavior. I am uploading a picture of the racist employee.

Every time I go there its a terrible experience. I tried something different every time I go. And they where all bad. Never going to Baja fresh again

For the past five years, I've worked nearby this Baja Fresh location and I return on a regular basis. First, this place is reliably FAST. If I am pressed for time and need to get back my office in 20 minutes, I *know* I can stop by, grab some food and be back with time to spare. Second, the staff is friendly, helpful and, if you are a regular, they remember your order. The one time my order wasn't right (I always ask for "no tomatos"), the guy who made the food ran out to me as I was getting into my car with my food - "So sorry- I have to remake it for you without tomatos!" Now that is service. :) There is very little turnover in staff members so this place must be well managed and generally happy. I am delighted to give this place my business any day of the week.

The name is fitting for the place. The food was fresh and I love all the choices of salsa's. The staff is friendly and the the establishment was clean. I'd definitely go back again.

This Baja Fresh provides great service. They are always quick to fix any errors. (Not that they make a lot of errors. I can be difficult when I order. For example, i order the guacamole in a separate container not touching the sour cream because it comes with my meal, but I want to give it to my husband.) They also have a wide array of salsas to choose from.

I could not be happier to find a Baja Fresh after moving here from California. It's a tiny taste of home! My husband and I are both picky eaters and they've always understood our requests and our orders have always been right. I love how everything is freshly made. I wish they bottled the Salsa Verde but that too is made fresh every day. It bugs me that people compare Baja and Chipotle. Baja is fast but fresh Mexican and Chipotle is a hipster version of Mexican food. I love Chipotle as much as the next person but Baja is in a different category. I'll be back whenever I get that homesick feeling or the craving for a yummy quesadilla.

I came here for lunch and it was pretty busy. The employees were very friendly and gave good service. The salsa bar was fully stocked the whole time during the lunch rush. I got a chicken taco and a carnitas taco. The chicken was lacking flavor, however, the carnitas was yummy. I did feel kind of cramped as there were many tables that were very close together so I was uncomfortable as people were constantly bumping into me. However, the good service balances out with the seating to come out with a 3 star review.

Like others have said, this particular baja lacks flavor in their food. I am convinced the location at congressional plaza is better after countless visits to each location. It always seems this one misses the mark. Now the upsides are, at least today, the food came out fast and the staff was pleasant. I would choose the other location any day but was nearby to this one.

Nope. Not this place! I ordered a simple Burrito. Not only my simple burrito lacked any kind of sauce (source cream, hot sauce or even water) which made extremely dry, but also burnt chicken. I don't know how why and how chicken can burnt so bad that I could smell it. Dried burrito with burnt chicken...yum (haha) P.S. I didn't finish my food. And yes the like other reviewers, my stomach hurts...... next stop: bathroom. 1 star because the staff members were nice.

Once was enough. I wasn't big on any of the menu items but I was hungry so I gave it a try. I couldn't finish my meal. I just didn't like the flavor.

We've eaten here 3 times. Unfortunately, two of those times left us extremely ill. The first time my husband had enchiladas and was really sick for a couple hours. The second visit went fine (tacos for both of us) and the tacos were quite tasty. The salsa choices are AWESOME. The third time we visited we ordered tacos again. They had no tomato, no onion, no cheese, no lettuce, nothing... just the meat and *raw cabbage*. Very strange and very gross. Neither of us could finish our 3-taco plate. And within twenty minutes I was extremely ill in their bathroom and couldn't leave for half an hour. The bathroom sink was broken (water sprays everywhere), the stall organizer was broken. Honestly, it seems like there is a large quality-control problem here. The food and the restaurant are all over the place as far as cleanliness and reliability. We won't go back, too risky.

King Farm is kind of scary. It's yet another planned community where you never have to get in your car and leave because everything's right there. This Baja Fresh is really nice inside and surprisingly large. Outdoor seating is available. One draw of Baja Fresh is the salsa bar. Also, I love the tea dispenser they have at the soda fountain. There's 4 choices of sweetened or unsweetened teas that come out of one machine, you just push the button. Let me just say that I don't like Chipotle because the sizes are so ridiculous. And I never finish burritos at California Tortilla either (mostly because I'm chowing down on the chips and queso). So I tend to stay away from burritos because of my sketchy past with them. But the chicken taquitos here were yum, yum, yummy! They came with a generous portion of guacamole, which is hard to come by in these parts without paying extra. It also wasn't extra oniony - I am not an onion fan. I think there was a small miscommunication about the chips and queso, or maybe the system is just screwed up. I really just wanted a small tray of chips with a small container of queso, but instead I got a large basket of chips with a lot of queso. Also, I didn't realize my taquitos came with queso! Argh. I finished most of the chips but had a ton of queso left.

They charged me 75 cents for some extra sour cream. I hate them, I hate them lots. Mostly b/c I really like the Carnitas Quesadilla, so I have to keep going back. Evil, this Baja Fresh is.

fresh salsa. all u can eat jalopeno. i like this place. good mexican. but if u ask me which one i like better b/w baja and chipotle?? hmmm. baja. by slightly. i think this place serve fresher food then chipotle. i usually get bowl of fajita or burrito. tortila is good but after few bites it becomes too much food. someone told me that she does not get tortila because of carbo. yeh it makes sense. u get rice (carbo) then plus totila (carbo)? she woke my eyes then. besides i like the food w/o tortila. much cleaner. anywaz. happy chow!

Baja fresh is your standard fast food chain. They do make it fresh-as their name implies-while you wait. All these chains are the same with standard basic ingredients. The thing that makes Baja better is their yummy fresh salsa bar! Also noteworthy-friendly service and clean.

I was unimpressed with my visit to this Baja Fresh. I ordered the Grilled Fish taco combo, walked over to fill my beverage and there were several ants on the counter. They also got my order incorrect.
