Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Fun little sushi bar with bubbly cute lighting, pop music and a nifty conveyor belt. As far as the faire goes, it's not the best sushi I've ever had, but it's pretty decent.

If you are looking for fresh sushi this is not the place. Based on the reviews, I thought this was going to be a new go to spot. $60 bought a good amount of takeout sushi but too bad I wasn't able to eat it. The sushi that I received smelled very fishy and had a sour taste to it. Very disappointing! I don't think I will give this place a second chance.

Before I say anything about this place, I will openly admit that my friends, and I came in around 9pm. They closed at 10 that night, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt with a lot of things. Service wise, it was great. Our waitress was a very sweet young girl, and the sushi chef was quick to get our food out to us. Food wise, it wasn't the best. It definitely wasn't bad by any means, to me, and it may have been because we came in so late. I ordered the chirashi which was okay, though the rice had fish eggs all over it, which threw me off. The fish was fresh, but had very little flavour. My Philadelphia roll was delicious. My friend ordered a spicy tuna roll which she enjoyed. However, she also ordered a volcano roll that resulted in her getting sick to her stomach. One thing that irked me was that my friend called ahead to ask how late the belt was open, and she was told the belt ran until closing. We found out upon arrival that what she was told was not true. I don't know who she spoke to, but they were misinformed. Overall not bad. I've had better, but I've also had worse. I'll probably give it another chance after awhile.

Great tasting sushi! Excellent service! Love the military discount! We'll be returning soon!

My friend and I ate here for the first time this week and we both agreed that this wasn't the worst nor best sushi we have had. The place did smell a bit fishy next to the bar and the conveyor belt wasn't running but it seemed like a cool idea. Service was fine, nothing mind blowing.. place was basically empty around 5-6pm.

Come to The carrusel of flavor! Yummy tasty sushi with little spikes of different ingredients. I'm not a true sushi eating person but here I tried a little of everything and opened up my paladar in very mouthwatering and flavor savoring ways ! Try the desert " Oreo pluckers" Nice people and the sushi chefs are helpful too! Enjoy !

This has now become our favorite sushi spot. Sushi we have tried include the MD roll (awesome - full of crab with a just the right amount of Old Bay), Chesapeake roll (ok but not our favorite, strawberry sauce does not really go with the roll), scallop tempura and egg roll (huge scallops go great with the delicate egg flavor), and spicy combo (includes spicy salmon, tuna, and yellowtail).

I dub thee the best sushi in Frederick, paws down! Sashimi Salad is dope and the rotary buffet is one of the best in the area including Montgomery County and PG County. That says a lot ya heard!
(4)Arthur B.
Rarely do I rave. I am tonight. This is a great find, fish is fresh tasty and generously portioned. Negri and Maki were delicious, sweet shrimp and ff roe with quail egg were incredible. House saki was a great value and the momo ice tea was a great cocktail choice (thanks for the recipe ). Can't wait to hit the all you can eat lunch. Oh, and Morgan was a charm as a server....

Spent 4 months in Frederick on business over the summer. Came here often with work friends. Staff is great. Dave is awesome. Owner is very nice. Great rolls. Great variety. Great bar! Fresh fresh fresh!!!very good sushi in my opinion.

I came here during my lunch break; there was a decent number of people there during that time. I didn't know about the lunch buffet, but decided not to go that route. I was sat down immediately and was asked for my drink order. I was served my drink within 2-3 minutes of sitting down, but wasn't ready to order. When I was ready to order I waited nearly 10 minutes. I ordered the spicy roll combo and an order of Ikura (salmon roe) sushi. Overall the fish tasted fresh; however, they were not very spicy. The ikura was okay; I've had better, but certainly not the worst. I'll probably come back and try their lunch buffet.

I have eaten here half a dozen times and each time has been great. Usually I've come at lunch or at dinner on a weekday so I haven't experienced dining here during a busy time, though I witnessed it on a Saturday night at 7pm which was a little wacky (I was just picking up a to-go order of crispy beef). The service is friendly, the atmosphere is top-notch, and every time the sushi has been amazing. Not sure if I'm too much of a sushi novice to know any better but other people from out of town I've brought here have agreed that it is amazing sushi. The green tea they serve is delicious as well. Highly recommended, especially for all-you-can-eat sushi conveyor belt lunch!!!!
(5)Will M.
This is the best sushi I have had in Frederick! I had an order of the Spicy Tuna roll, and my Wife and I shared a few orders of the Shrimp Tempura rolls. Let me tell you the Shrimp was perfectly fried and was bursting with flavor, what pushed the roll to the flavor overload is they also stuff the roll with smooth avocado and fresh lettuce for an awesome crunch. The Spicy Tuna roll was a great choice as well! We will definitely return!

Best sushi ever. I love Roppongi ( yelp.com/biz/roppongi-re… ) It's been my go to place for years. that is until today when after nearly a year of sitting on my "To Try" bookmark list. I still Roppongi, but Sushi Densha raised the bar two whole notches and is now the top of my sushi to go to list. After much debating and waiting I made my way to Sushi Densha today. I had been reluctant to try a new sushi place because let's face it 90% of so called sushi joints are either wrapped up in Chinese buffets, or at the huge fad we all know as "hibachi" (actually teppanyaki is the correct word), now of which really do a great job of making sushi. Usually this type of sushi is a few steps above what you find at a Safeway or Wegman's deli counter; narcoleptic grade at best. Roppongi is really the only place in town aside from Hidone until sushi Densha came along. So, today we have Sushi Densha, and I visited the conveyer right after they opened on a Wednesday. Not exactly a busy time. The belt had nothing on it yet and I was the only one there. I sort of felt bad ordering the all-you-can-eat deal with no one else there to eat sushi off the belt. But, dammit, I craved sushi and for $14, all you can eat is a good deal. Sure, I could go to Tendo Buffet and eat all I want for $8 but that sushi tastes like a cross between ass and expired Spam. Sushi Densha tastes like orgasm. (or is that sushigasm, not really a Japanese word, but it will due in a pinch) They typically place two pieces per plate, and I landed downed between 15-20 plates before I could eat no more. Can't even begin to tel you the types of rolls I had, eyt alone the fish. Was tempted to relax for a little bit and hit more, but decided my editor pays me to work not sit on my tail for two hours (Unless, I'm writing a food review, of which I was not today, minus this yelp review that I'm doing now after hours). Anycase, this was the best sushi experience in Frederick, and quite possibly the best since my last trip to Japan. So, eat this sushi if you like sushi, but if you don't like real sushi, I'm sure Giant would gladly sell you something that's been chilled in a cooler for three days for half of what a feast at Sushi Densha costs.

Went here yesterday for dinner. It was pretty crowded but we were able to sit at the sushi bar and watch all the little dishes go by on the conveyor belt. I ordered the tiger roll which was delicious and uniquely shaped. I also got to try their dragon roll and took a few pieces from the belt. Everything is made fresh in front of you and is quite tasty. The only caveat is the service could be a little faster but it was also packed so that might not be their normal service. I'll come back here when I;m in the Frederick area.

We loved eating at Sushi Densha! They recently opened. We went last weekend before heading to a movie. They were not too busy and the waitstaff was very engaging and present. We sat near the conveyor belt and sampled so much. We also purchased two rolls. We loved them. The Rock and Roll was fantastic. The men behind the counter were nice and answered our questions about the items on the conveyor belt. We loved it so much we went back again this weekend when they had a DJ and were full filled with patrons.Word will get out quick that this modern restaurant has fantastic food. Great for a family or a date. Very reasonably priced.

I ate at Sushi Densha for Valentine's Day dinner this past weekend and was incredibly disappointed, not so much by the food (although that was nothing particularly special), but by the service. The sushi was nothing special, but not terrible. We ate it, but weren't very impressed. Our service while ordering and being served was okay -- a little awkward, but okay. Then I was beyond disappointed when it was time to pay and get the leftovers packed up. Throughout our meal, I had seen other couples' leftovers placed neatly and orderly into rectangle to-go containers. But our leftovers were dumped into a tiny "clamshell" container, breaking and making most of the pieces completely inedible. The pieces of sushi weren't even stacked on top of each other -- they were literally all lumped together in one big unappetizing sushi pile (look in the photos section for a picture of it). I'm not sure if the waitress (a young white woman with straight brown shoulder-length hair) just decided to be incredibly rude and lazy, or if she realized my partner and I weren't just on a "friends date," but are a same-sex couple and then decided to be really shitty, but either way I was totally shocked. STEER CLEAR OF SUSHI DENSHA. Below-average sushi with awful service.

Being a Jersey transplant I am on a mission to reestablish my "go-to" locations. Sushi is top on my list. It needs to be good. This place is decent. I stopped here to do a take out order on a Saturday night. It has a nice atmosphere, everyone was helpful, I looked at their menu, and was unfamiliar with everything except the standard cali and philly rolls. I opted for the Pink lady roll,, which was delicioius, a cali rolll and their avocado salad. I have no complaints. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The pink lady roll was awesome, with fresh kiwi slices on top, and the lemon dressing on thee avocado salad was delightful! There was a dollar charge for brown rice, which is a little steep for my taste, but thats the only major downfall. I intend to go back for the all you can eat, cause I always enjoy that challenge!
(4)Kendall D.
Pretty good sushi at a reasonable price. I Came in for a late lunch/early dinner. The service was a little slow but the rolls were fresh and delicious. The Sweet potato roll was pretty awesome! I would go back for that!!
(4)Sheena S.
The outside appearance is nice, however I was surprise to go in and the smell the odor! I love seafood and the smell of it, but this place stinks!!! The outside balcony was full of spiders. The 8.00 drink was awful! Will not go here again!
(1)Ginger W.
LOVE This is the only pace I have ever been that seems to make a lot of their sauces/ingredients in house. The Unagi tastes AMAZING. The takoyaki are worth the wait! The random things on the belt are all amazingly appetizing and I haven't been disappointed with a roll yet. My boyfriend is extremely particular about seafood freshness and used to not eat it outside of the beach in FL, but this is somewhere he will go enthusiastically. Everything I have had here has been remarkably good.
(5)Taylor H.
Definitely a fun experience and much more unique than any other sushi buffet you will find in town! While I do think that $14 was a bit on the higher side for all you can eat, the quality and variety of the sushi was well worth it. I tried plenty of rolls I never have had the opportunity to try due to the limited buffet menus at most buffets, so that was great! Everything tasted delicious as well. My only negatives were that our server was not attentive AT ALL and we were left with piles of plates and unrefilled drinks on our table. It wasn't so bad that it would make me think twice about returning, but still, I did expect much more given the rave reviews about the service here. If you are coming here for the buffet, give yourself a good bit of time as well...sometimes we were waiting a few minutes for the rolls we liked to come around, but it wasn't too big of an issue since we weren't in a rush.
(4)Matiss L.
The place is ready to find and had a very open feel without too much noise pollution. I wish the concept belt were actually used for the meal or some other quirky use. The food was decent for being a non port town and i enjoyed the presentation. However there was nothing special to speak of except for the sake list. The ceviche wasa bit of a disappointment, but i will certainly try it again to get a better feel for the place.
(3)Emily M.
Not the best sushi I've ever had, but probably some of the best sushi in Frederick!
(3)Gregory M.
Very decent conveyor-belt style sushi (kaiten-zushi). The sushi chefs prepare dishes, put them on color-coded plates (your final bill is based on the number of plates and their various colors), send them on a conveyor belt around the sushi bar. If you see something you like, you grab it off the conveyor and eat it. Simple and fun! I've eaten here twice, and the first time was really good, with lots of different dishes sliding down the conveyor at a brisk pace. The second time we came was during a slow period, and there was less variety on the conveyor. Fortunately, the sushi chefs will make you something different if you specifically request it. I recommend eating at this kind of place only during lunch or dinner rushes if you want the biggest variety of sushi to choose from.
(3)Dawn B.
Awesome sushi, Volcano roll is a must have-warm/hot sushi never crossed my mind, but it's AMAZING. Mixed with the shrimp tempura roll...alternating bites of warm and oozy with cool and crunchy was fantastic.
(5)Heather C.
good place, the conveyer belt is super fun! and the atmosphere is really neat! love the hand rolls and they'll even do special orders like brown rice instead of white rice! love the pepper steak roll they have to! super friendly staff and very tentative!
(3)Shruti M.
Decided to try this place based on the Yelp reviews. What I failed to notice about the reviews that it was all for the sushi buffet, not for the actual other food served here. I stopped in for lunch one day and decided that I didn't have the time or hunger for a revolving sushi bar, so I decided to order one of their lunch specials off the menu. That was a mistake. I ordered the shrimp tempura bento box. I like shrimp, i like tempura. how could this go wrong? first it took literally 30 minutes to get the bento box. When it finally arrived, it was like they had pulled the tempura straight out of the frying vat without draining any of the oil. I wish I had taken a picture because there was a pool of oil sitting at the bottom of the box section holding the tempura. At first, i didn't even realize there was a napkin under the tempura because it was already translucent from the oil. Needless to say, this made eating the tempura extremely difficult. Every bite was basically a squirt of oil and eventually I just gave up. The rest of box was mediocre. nothing to write home about and nothing different from any other bento box from any other Japanese restaurant. The service.....um hmm. I'm hoping that my server was new.... i really am, because i don't even know what to say if she wasn't new. My bill was $13 dollars, so I put a $20 bill in the book expecting to just get change back. Am I unreasonable to expect this? First it took her 15 minutes to come by and get the bill from me and then when she returned and I opened the book.....i found $20 in change. wait...what? So I took out my change from that and left the remainder of the bill and tip in the book. When i got up, she happened to be passing by and i said, hi you just gave me change instead of paying the bill, so i left the amount for the bill in the book. She just looked at me and blinked like she had no idea what i was talking about. Again, i really hope she's new because otherwise there are bigger problems here. I may go back and try the buffet since that's what everyone raves about. But I'll pay by credit next time since paying with cash is evidently too much to handle....
(2)Gene S.
It's not bad. That's the best i can say about it, the conveyor belt choices are limited, and not top tier. The sushi overall is ok, but not great. Still, for Frederick...at least it's better (and cheaper) the Hinode.
(2)Kevin J.
Went here a while back and thoroughly enjoyed the sushi. Maybe a little too much lol. We are planning a long over due return visit. If you want good sushi give this place a shot.
(5)Justa D.
We have been here a few times. We are not sushi snobs so take this review for what you want. The sushi was very good, but it would be nice to see more variety on the belt. It all seemed fresh so we liked that. The service is ok, nothing to write home about. The price is not bad, but if you have a big appetite it will cost you.

3.5 Stars So this is stop two on the tour of sushi that Frederick has to offer. The first stop was Roppongi and I must say these two are like apples and oranges. You can't really compare the two. Sushi Densha is really about the atmosphere and it looks great. Once you walk in it really doesn't look like you should be in a strip mall or maybe even Frederick, it is very trendy on the inside. A large menu with a ton of interesting flavor 'blends' and specialty rolls. We sat near the counter as we wanted to take advantage of the sushi conveyor belt thing...clearly don't know the official terminology. This was a really fun addition and not something most places here have. We ordered edamame, a deep friend bacon appetizer thing (which being gluten free I couldn't eat, so clearly didn't make much of an impression on me), we had the chile magruo roll no maguro sauce, spicy salmon roll, peppered tuna roll, a slice of tuna sushi 'pizza' and grabbed a philly roll and some other concoction off of the conveyor. The service was great. We were there on a Sunday and it really wasn't that crowded but you could tell the two servers taking care of everyone were hustling. The sushi was good but I don't think lived up to the expectations set by the atmosphere. The edamame was far too salty in my opinion. I also am not a big fan of spicy tuna/salmon rolls that use almost a minced fish opposed to larger pieces. I think that some of the rolls were sooo creative and packed with different flavors that you lost some of the taste. That seemed to be the bf's consensus with the pizza and app, very good but you really couldn't taste everything in there because there was so much flavor competition. I think if this was a rating strictly on the food it would be a three not bad at all but not mind blowing, the service bumps it right up to a four, so the 3.5 seemed fair. The atmosphere is great but I thought the sushi at Roppongi was better.

Came here a year ago, so things may have changed. The notes from phone say "Great drink selection, lackluster General Tso's." You're welcome, Yelp. I do remember, though, the ambience was fun. The sushi was ok, nothing exceptional. I'm not from the area, so I don't know how this compares to the other options available, but overall this is the kind of place I would want to have in my town. And hopefully the food has gotten better in the last year.
(3)Deidre C.
You come to Sushi Densha for the experience, plain and simple. While the sushi rolls are good; they're not amazing. The few times I've been there, the selection on the belt has been limited as well.
(3)Nora H.
My husband and I like this restaurant. The quality of the food is good, and the prices are right. They also have reduced prices for drinks and sushi for happy hour (until 7 p.m.), which is great. The service has also been excellent every time we've been there.
(4)Katie C.
Best sushi around! The conveyor belt is super cool and Michael is the best waiter ever. You can watch them prepare the sushi right in front of you and they have really good and creative drinks as well. Not sure how long it'll last, but they have a happy hour for sushi now, it's absolutely amazing! Their prices are great and so is their food.
(5)E C.
Do you love sushi? Do you like unique types of sushi and trying different combinations? Are you hungry? Then this is your place!! Came here for lunch on a whim and had a great experience. I've never had sushi from a conveyor belt before. The lunch buffet is $13 and some change for all you can eat. YES! This place had some awesome and unique sushi I had never tried before- mango, strawberry, sweet potato, sushi pizza, MARYLAND CRAB (yum), you name it. (Along with the regular spicy tuna, California, etc). You can sit at the sushi bar which I found fun because you're close to your neighbor and I'm the type of person that loves chatting up new people. You also get to watch them make the sushi right in front of you. Dessert is included and it's a yummy and light pudding. My favorite sushi restaurant I've found in Frederick so far!! I ate my weight in sushi and definitely got my money's worth. The staff was friendly and nice as well. I'll be back!

I hate to write bad reviews, but I am with Heidi on this one. Husband surprised me with take home. Not a good surprise. The special of the day was grilled octopus -also got a shrimp tempura roll and spicy tuna roll. Octopus was chewy on the outside and mushy and slimy on inside. We called and told the restaurant. To their credit, they said bring it back if unhappy for any reason. I explained I wasn't just saying "ewwww octopus", but something was wrong. When they saw the food they agreed. They gladly gave me another dish, (I asked for tuna tartare), and reminded us that if not happy for any reason they want to fix it. Unfortunately, the tuna in this dish was very fishy smelling - and overall of questionable quality. The spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura rolls were average. I really appreciate that they were very nice and responsible and offered to make anything right, but to need to run back and forth to the restaurant a third time (and who knows if that would have been it?) was just not practical. I really want to like this place. I want to be able to run around the corner for sushi like I did in my old neighborhood. These are nice people, but I don't know if I can give them another try.

Good food & Good service , this is my new favorite.
(4)Nguyên V.
Excellent sushi with very fast service. It's a fun conveyor belt type sushi where you can interact directly with the chef. The varieties of sushi is great. The atmosphere is also swanky with a Washington-DC feel. Great for dates.

YUMMMMMMMMMMM YUMMMMMMMMMMM YUMMMMMMMMMM By FAR the BEST sushi place in Frederick! I am such a sushi snob and after hearing about Sushi Densha I decided to try it one night with a girlfriend. It was amazing! fresh fish, huge selection, great atmosphere. The Miso soup is soooo good too. I highly recommend joining the Densha club (costs $10 but usually valpak has a coupon for 1/2 off the join fee) and you get 10% off every time you dine (but usually Valpak will have a 20% coupon for Densha members) so in my first visit my $5 Densha membership paid for itself! Go if you have not gone and are looking for good sushi!

Pros: The decor was nice, but not very original. The staff was friendly and willing to answer questions. Cons: The flavors of their sushi options didn't combine well. The sushi on the conveyor belt was room temperature and did not feel fresh, but what can you expect from food that rotates endlessly on a conveyor belt? Also, as a warning, your bill add up quickly if you are making selections from the sushi-go-round. Each plate has a color value that determines the price. A plate of 2 rolls is a minimum of $2.75, and a single plate with a maximum of 4 rolls can be as high as $5.00-6.00. The sushi we ordered off the menu took a very long time to come out Recommendation: The meal was not worth the price, and we were not thrilled with the experience. I would not go to this restaurant.
(1)Jessie L.
My sister & I have been to Sushi Densha a few times and had relatively good experiences. The sushi is pretty good and the prices aren't bad either. However, after our last visit, we will not be going back again. The waiter was friendly, however when it came to the end of our meal, my sister was charged more than expected for her meal (the same meal she gets everytime) when she questioned the waiter, she was told that the menu price was a typo. When she asked to speak to a manager, the manager told her that it was in fact a typo, but that she would have to pay the correct undisplayed amount for her meal. My sister was treatly unkindly and unfairly, the price was clearly incorrect, however, she was expected to pay for the establishment's mistake (a mistake they didn't see fit to bring attention to at the time we ordered).
(1)Tiffany R.
My friends and I like to meet there for some sushi and a nice one to one chats because the atmosphere is warm and relaxing for a good get-away from the "busy-ness" of life.
(4)Liam S.
A fine establishment, and I believe one of the only sushi conveyor belt restaurants in the area! The choices are all very nice, with some interesting specials (i.e. Bacon sushi, sushi pizza, etc.) the prices can sometimes outlying but the overall satisfaction of the place is very nice.
(4)Noah K.
Nice to have another bona fide sushi place in Frederick. The conveyor belt concept is very cool and the ambience is great. And for lunch, the "buffet" is just great-- you stay in your seat and eat whatever you want that goes by on the conveyor belt. The selection is limited, but very tasty, and you can see what is fresh and what has been going around for a while. It's a great value at $14 for all you can eat. When it comes to dinner, however, the sushi just seems overpriced for what you get. and of pretty average quality. My daughter, who is not exactly a big eater, wolfed down $25 worth of the little plates on the conveyor belt and was not getting full.. I ordered chirashi and my wife got an assortment -- both of which were quite small and pricey, yet pretty average. Overall, this is a great lunch spot but doesn't offer anything to keep me near home if I want sushi for dinner. It's back down to Montgomery County for the real deal. I would rate Roppongi as having slightly better food, but the ambience, location, and "cool factor" make Sushi Densha a strong contender as the best sushi restaurant in Frederick (not exactly a high honor).
(3)G K.
This is our favorite sushi in Frederick: A classy atmosphere, and the staff & chefs are very friendly. If it's not on the conveyor, the chefs will make it for you. If you don't quite know what to order, they'll give you a hand. We joined the club for extra savings. The chicken udon is also wonderful.
(4)Michael S.
Best Sushi I have found in the Frederick area.
(5)Aubrey P.
One of the best local sushi places around. My husband and I have only carried out sushi from here, but the carousel idea looked intriguing. We tried several items off the special maki menu. The densha roll was among my favorites! The scallop was perfectly seared and so tender. Their tuna was exceptionally fresh and tasty in the chili maguro roll. We were hesitant to try the mango tango roll because our regular sushi place, Katana Sushi of mt airy, has a similar roll that has always disappointed us. However, Sushi Densha did NOT disappoint! It was amazingly delicious! Fresh, slightly sweet mango on top of perfectly cooked lobster salad! So yummy! Congrats to this terrific restaurant! We will be back....often!
(5)Marc G.
We tried Sushi Densha last Friday night and it was amazing. You could tell that the tuna (sashimi) was top quality, above and beyond what you would find at most of the other Frederick places. I cannot wait to go back. Bravo!

My cousin utilized yelp to locate Su Shi Den Sha. We had not seen each other in years and needed a half way point to do it while in Maryland. We were seated upon arrival for lunch on a Wednesday around 12pm. Our waitress was my only true complaint about the experience. She was not friendly and was difficult to understand. She immediately wanted us to get the sushi lunch buffet for $15 (I believe) . When we tried to find out how to figure out which roll is which on their moving bar she said there is no way to know and she didn't name off anything but the imitation crab that was covering them. At this point I was a bit alarmed. Since I have been living in Vegas I am a bit spoiled concerning AYCE Sushi. Since we weren't able to get any assistance from the waitress we decided to order from the menu. Started with the Seaweed salad which was large in size and had good flavor. As for the rolls I will break them down below saving the best for last ! Spicy Roll Combo - it was a really great deal giving a little kick and a nice variety of rolls to share . My favorite was the spicy yellowtail roll . All three had good flavor and were good quality. For 11.95 it was a large portion set of rolls for sure! Spider roll - honestly I thought it was OK but not great , having lettuce took some getting used to and it was mainly a whole bunch of eel sauce but for 8.95 I guess I shouldn't complain . Best of all was the Chili Maguro roll . It is a part of the special roll section. As you may of guessed it's spicy . The menu will go over exactly what it has in it but if you're a fan of tuna and spice this is the roll for you. The flavor mix was so good. I loved the black pepper tuna they placed on top! Overall I would definitely go here again. It was a reasonably priced sushi location. They have a fair amount of roll choices .As I said earlier in the review service is where it really fell short for me . We even had to ask for refills and do just selfies because the waitress just was absent. If she was busy I can excuse this but there was another girl handling most of the tables and ours was behind the counter hanging out often .

L O V E this place !!! Hubby and I love sushi and we used to come a lot but we don't get to go out as much anymore but I find myself craving this place!! Chili Maguro & Rock N Roll are the top two faves of the sushi they have there ! Basil Chicken is super good. The Thai basil mussels and the crispy duck roll is really good too. I pretty much just love this place in general.. Minus the one rude waitress in the morning .. Older lady with glasses ? She's always so short with us and barely ever comes around a hardly gets us anything we ask for .. Definitely never smiles at us ..

This place was amazing! 6 of my friends and I came here for dinner. The food was served in a timely manner, the waitress was attentive, everyone's food was phenomenal. Personally, I would highly recommend the Paradise Roll if your feeling some sweet sushi.

Not the best sushi, I had. It was walking distance from the hotel, so opted to eat here.

Ehhhh..... Shivers.... Maybe it's because I'm no sushi connoisseur... Or the fact I can't hold sashimi and fish eggs down... Idk But I do know yummy sushi when I taste it, especially if it's vegetarian or something along the lines of imitation crab meat, soft shell crabs... So on, so forth. The conveyor belt idea is cool, I've been to a couple of those but Sushi Densha just didn't seem to have many choices.. The plates weren't labeled so I picked up a couple I came to find I couldn't eat... You know.. Just confusion. The gyoza I wanted wasn't available.. Boo hoo... I can't even remember what I ate but it wasn't anything special. I hate to give bad reviews but damn, it's hard to even fancify this one... AHHH!

Never fails- great sushi. They used to have friendly bartenders but last few times not so much. Make sure you ask about the free sushi on the menu otherwise they won't give it to you. The conveyer belt is pretty pimp, and the decor is really nice.

So glad to have found good sushi in Frederick! The atmosphere is nice- they tried to go for a trendy look but only got half way there. The sushi is great though. The spicy salmon was very good and I'm very picky about this roll in particular. The salmon sashimi had a strange after taste but the salon nagiri was good. Will definitely come back again and try the noodles and some of the other Asian dishes.

The sushi carousel is the coolest. And even if you don't dig sushi, there are lots of other things on the menu to make your tummy happy. I love the grilled calamari and the tom yum soup. Their bento boxes are a good bet as well. As far as location and ambience, I wish this place was located in Downtown Frederick instead of the strip mall by the movie theater. It would be waaaaay more jumpin' if it was downtown. A girl can hope.

Expensive specials, but the sushi is really good

Came here on a Monday night for dinner. This probably explains why there was hardly any sushi on the conveyor belt: it was a few sad plates of what looked like a tempura roll. I sat in a booth by the conveyor belt and decided to order from the menu if I wanted something raw. I ordered: Pink Lady Roll - spicy salmon roll with crunchy tempura flakes and avocado. It's topped with kiwi, tobiko and strawberry syrup. The roll would have been good without the syrup; it was pleasant but just too sweet. Tako (octopus) sushi - It was a generous portion and not too chewy. Hot and Sour soup - Not too spicy and not too sour. For me, I prefer my hot and sour soup to be hot and sour... oh well. I topped off my meal with a Lychee Martini, it was sweet and strong. Not a great lychee martini but it is packed with alcohol (which, I guess, is why some people would call it great drink). The service was prompt and polite.

The best sushi I've had in Frederick by a mile. The fish is super fresh and full of flavor, the rice is perfection, and everything is beautifully presented and at a great price. The tuna and salmon rolls were incredible! We also ordered a few vegetarian rolls that were enjoyed as well. Bonus points for serving up thick cuts of real sashimi sans rice, rather than the paper thin slices tossed on a rice ball that is common to most sushi places in the area. We also got edamame and tempura appetizers that were delicious - the tempura was particularly great. They also have an extensive menu full of non-sushi options. Oh, and a word of warning - their signature cocktails are delicious, but drink with caution. I ordered an insanely yummy Lychee martini.. but holy crap their drinks are STRONG. I'm no lightweight, but I wasn't even a quarter of the way through my martini before I started seriously feeling it. Not that I think this is a bad thing - I hate places that charge 7-9 bucks for watered down cocktails... but Sushi Densha's cocktails are strong enough that one can definitely knock you on your butt if you aren't paying attention! We came with a large group of 7 people on a busy Friday night They just opened, so the waiter seemed a little frazzled by serving such a large group, but everything was great regardless - he was super friendly and willing to answer any questions, and timed all our food perfectly. Our sushi was a bit slow in coming out, but I'd chalk that up to the size of of our group, the size of our order, and being a brand new restaurant on a Friday night - thats really the only reason I took a star off. I have no doubts that once they get into the groove of things, this will be a five star place. They had no issues splitting checks as well - between my boyfriend and I, our food total came to about $30 for 5 rolls, 1 tuna sashimi, and a tempura appetizer. Drinks came to $16 for 2 beers and a lychee martini. I'll definitely be back to try the conveyor belt and some of the hot menu items from the kitchen!

Stopped here for lunch on the way back home from Emmitsburg on an early Sunday afternoon. The place was near-empty, but that didn't deter us. The decor was kinda cool, and the service was prompt. Although the conveyor belt was tempting, we opted to order from the menu. My daughter ordered the ceviche and the spicy sushi combo, while I ordered the chicken udon. The items were prepped very well and were quite tasty. With two soft drinks, food items plus tip, 40 bucks -- pretty good for a ton of quality food! Check it out...!
(4)Mickey B.
Will say I don't know much about sushi but I know what tastes good and not only doesn't the sushi have a really fresh taste but the food out the kitchen is more then I expected great place fast service and fresh food
(5)Heather H.
I'm a big Sushi fan. I come from California where there is LOTS of sushi places! When I came to Fredrick for business a friend recommended this place. I was skeptical about the buffet but it was SO good! I got the Rock and Roll! Can't wait to go back!

Sshhh. Don't tell Chop Sticks in Winchester (our rural favorite) that this place SPANKS them! Here's what we got & what we thought of each: Tiger Roll - one of our favorites Golden Temple - good, the kids favorite, fried Pink Lady - surprising and good, i typically dislike fruit on my sushi but the kiwi was wonderful with it Chili Maguro - tasty and spicy, good variety Naruto Roll - the only roll we did not like, sorry Bamboo Roll - good Dynamite Roll - our HANDS DOWN favorite Salmon Skin Roll - crunchy and salty Maryland Roll - the kids second favorite, just ok to the adults Tuna Kimchi Roll - just ok Looking forward to trying them again soon! The sushi pizza, takoyaki, rock n roll, thunder roll, and densha roll looked great!
(5)Brad R.
We came here for the second time for our anniversary. We got the Sushi and Shashimi platter for 2 with the Mango Tango Roll. It was out of this world! Love the whole atmosphere of this place and the staff is great! A knock out of the ballpark for sushi lovers!
(5)Rick P.
LOVE the sushi train !
(5)Greg S.
We tried this out for lunch today and so glad that we did. Really good, fresh and great atmosphere with some techno playing. They have the sushi conveyor belt that works well. The Mango Tango roll was really good as was the Bento Box.
(4)Jaimee C.
Yummiest sushi around! Here, you can sit right up at the conveyor belt, which is quite fun. This is the type of set-up that you see many places in Japan and at some upscale malls in the larger cities. You interact directly with the chefs and can watch them making sushi which is very entertaining! Small platters of a variety of sushi rotate around and you can just take what you like. The sushi is fresh and delicious! There are many special rolls that are exclusive to Sushi Densha which is awesome. If you want to order from the kitchen, their menu has a nice selection of Asian fusion dishes. Love this place and have become a member of the "Sushi Densha Club" so we can get discounts on our check at each visit!

I expected so much better from all the great reviews I had seen and heard. I went the other week with my boyfriend, and as soon as we walked in things went badly. The woman that sat us was really rude, said two words to us and when we had questions about the menu, she rolled her eyes and just walked away. She came back 10 mins. Later and took our orders, not even answering our questions we had previously asked, and walked off with an attitude. I had ordered the rainbow roll and my boyfriend ordered the tarriaki chicken (sorry I know I can't spell it.). Almost an hour later we get out food, the rainbow roll wasn't anything special, but I have to admit his chicken was quite good. I did like the atmosphere so I had to at least 2 stars.
(2)Rachel S.
Decent sushi, decent priced. Nothing super special but happy to have somewhere decent in Frederick. Beautiful interior.
(4)Stuart M.
I went here for the first time the other week on a last minute dinner invite. I've been to a good number of sushi restaurants and this one has to be one of my favorites. The atmosphere is very fresh and modern (Especially when most sushi restaurants go for the stereotype style of décor) and the same can be said for the menu. Food quality was great and the little details in presentation really make it wonderful. The conveyor belt makes getting little appetizers easy and I can see how that would be perfect when just relaxing there with friends over drinks. The staff were friendly and eager to please, even got a free sake-bomb from the bar because they needed some people to test their beer and sake selections on (Winner got a free beef salad which was wonderful!). It wasn't very crowded when I went (On a Thursday around 9) but I don't think word has spread too fast but I will definitely go back and recommend to my friends. Oh, and I recommend their "sushi pizza", it's great!

Atmosphere: Very modern with mood lighting. Their bar section has lounge like seating which was a neat aspect and potentially good for happy hour. Service: Friendly, welcoming, and accomodating staff. Wait time for food was ideal. Food: conveyor belt items were priced at $1.49, 2.49, 3.49, and 4.49. They have different colored plates that correspond to the different price points. These items included appetizer like seaweed salad and edamame, nigiri (2 pieces), rolls (2 pieces). I grabbed salmon and eel nigiri. These four pieces alone were 8 bucks so I can see how this could get pricey. In addition to the conveyor items, they had a vast menu of options to choose from. We ordered chirashi and chicken katsu. They were nice to modify the chirashi, which is a rice bowl with a variety of sashimi pieces, to just salmon sashimi with rice for me. My only gripe with my dish was that some pieces of the salmon was nicely cut while other pieces were thin. When the chicken katsu (panko fried chicken) came out, it was nice portion size. Without a doubt you could share this between two people. The breading was spot on but the chicken was a bit dry. We also ordered a garden house salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. Both of which was ok. Overall: We enjoyed our dining experience because of the staff. There are minor little things that they still need to iron out as a brand new restaurant but that comes with time and they seem promising.

A very good experience. Nice decor. Service was good. Sushi was very good, even on a Sunday. The lemon grass beef was excellent.
(5)Ben R.
This is the best sushi lunch buffet in Frederick. There is no need to go anywhere else. The sushi is made fresh in front of you and there's an assortment of items to choose from. High quality as well.
(5)Jess M.
Great sushi...the rolls are a decent size and they have good drinks at the bar too. Worth giving it a try
(5)Kristen H.
(4)Jon W.

(4)Emily M.

(5)Janet P.

Enjoy !
(5)Janet C.
(5)Hungry C.

(5)Hanna W.

(5)Kendall D.
Pretty good sushi at a reasonable price. I Came in for a late lunch/early dinner. The service was a little slow but the rolls were fresh and delicious. The Sweet potato roll was pretty awesome! I would go back for that!!

The outside appearance is nice, however I was surprise to go in and the smell the odor! I love seafood and the smell of it, but this place stinks!!! The outside balcony was full of spiders. The 8.00 drink was awful! Will not go here again!

(5)Eli And Caitlin L.

(4)Niki N.
(5)Heather C.
good place, the conveyer belt is super fun! and the atmosphere is really neat! love the hand rolls and they'll even do special orders like brown rice instead of white rice! love the pepper steak roll they have to! super friendly staff and very tentative!
(3)Jennifer M.

(5)Jaimee C.

(4)Aubrey P.
Bravo!
(5)Thavy L.
(3)Michael S.
(5)Stuart M.
(5)Jessie L.
(1)Mickey B.
Will say I don't know much about sushi but I know what tastes good and not only doesn't the sushi have a really fresh taste but the food out the kitchen is more then I expected great place fast service and fresh food
(5)Zephany T.
Fun little sushi bar with bubbly cute lighting, pop music and a nifty conveyor belt. As far as the faire goes, it's not the best sushi I've ever had, but it's pretty decent.
(3)Heidi B.
(1)Tiffany R.
My friends and I like to meet there for some sushi and a nice one to one chats because the atmosphere is warm and relaxing for a good get-away from the "busy-ness" of life.
