Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I have to say that I LOVED THE FOOD AND THE SERVICE! I called looking for a place to have a birthday party for my mother. I spoke with the manager Eldin. He is very professional and extremely helpful! He took his time with me and told me everything the Wayfarer Restaurant could offer me to make my mother's birthday an unforgettable experience, and it was. He suggested I come in and try the food and that was the best suggestion! When I came into the restaurant and saw how beautiful it was I was happy but when I ordered my food and it came out...... I was hooked! The food is AMAZING! YOU CANNOT GO WRONG! Please you do not have to believe me. Take the time and visit the Wayfarer Restaurant YOURSELF, I KNOW THAT I KNOW YOU WILL BE HOOKED ! THE FOOD IS SO GOOD you will want to come back and you will want to write a review! The food is very fresh, when it comes out you can smell the freshness and taste the flavors. The guest are still talking about my mothers birthday party and the food! Thank you Eldin for the unforgettable birthday party experience and the incredible food and great service!

Quite possibly my worst dining experience of the year. Came in for a business trip and selected the Colony South based off of previous stays. We came to the restaurant for dinner and the nightmare began. We ordered Stuffed Mushrooms and they came out cold. We informed the waiter and he took our plate to the kitchen with 4.5 mushrooms on it. Instead of making a fresh batch they stuck our plate, garnish and all, in the microwave and brought it back out to us. We sent it back and waited for our food. When our food came my mashed potatoes and green beans and my wife's spinach was all microwaved food. To his credit the manager did comp our mushrooms and gave us 20% off of the bill and gave us the excuse of having a new cook. I will stay away until they get a kitchen staff that knows how to cook.

I have eaten brunch here for over 12 years now. I obviously love it! Service has changed over the years. I love the wide variety of the menu, and the woman making the waffles and omelets, I love! The following reasons are why I didn't rate it 5 stars. There used to be 3-4 people waiting on your tablet now it's one. It takes too long to clear the dirty dishes off. It's buffet so why am I still paying 18%gratuity?

Basically don't waste your time. Horrible menu, atmosphere is depressing and the service is lazy. One server who worked there was very nice and professional. I think he is about the only one in the building

Full disclosure: Our meal was almost free because of a voucher we were given. The service was above average. The server was very enthusiastic, however, she was just a little overwhelmed with her tables. The food was maybe a 5 or 6/10. My crab cakes weren't very good but the cream of crab soup was terrific. My wife's steak was over cooked. The manager came over for a routine "hello" and asked how she ordered her steak. When she said med-rare he commented that it came out med-well and insisted they re-fire the steak. When it came out, it was perfect. Overall: Staff: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Food: 5/10 Atmosphere: 4/10

Not sure what happened since the last time I came a few months ago but there have been changes and not for the better. Seems like they use wholesale not homemade quiche. The shrimp in both the seafood Newburg and the cold shrimp was over done. And lastly, the apples were more like apple sauce and the fried chicken was shake and bake. They now have unlimited mimosas which is great. Oh and I forgot the macaroni was disgusting! !! When you come expect to pay a $4.50 gratuity even if it's a table of one which is not mentioned and the buffet shuts down at 3:00 pm on the dot. It will be a long while before I come back I'd ever!
