They have amazing raspberry lime Rickey's here- today we watched the girl preparing ours by squeezing limes for fresh juice. The cup was quite large and the drink was perfectly refreshing. The raspberry lime Rickey honestly would been enough to satisfy me, but I couldn't resist an ice cream cone with watermelon sherbet - so I had that too. Delicious. Their frappes, which I have indulged in many times in the past, are also amazing. Mix the ice cream flavors to make it even better ! I love chocolate + banana or coffee + Oreo!! :) Peaceful Meadows itself is a little hidden gem, located further down the road than the ice cream shops on the main strip, and hidden in a group of adorable shops. It's worth hunting for though. Definitely my fave ice cream place in town.

Ask for a taste before you buy. Very creamy but poor flavor - if my eyes were closed I wouldn't have know it was raspberry. Seems very popular so maybe I'm the odd man out.

Nothing beats the taste of fresh creamy ice cream and the smell of hot steamy cow poop!

Disappointed. During the summer, no mint chocolate chip ice cream (considered a specialty flavor while peppermint patty is on the menu). Also, this is the only store in town that does NOT serve jimmies or sprinkles...Not the place for kids (or me). For this pleasure, you pay a premium price!

A hometown favorite! Their ice cream is delicious, the service is always friendly, and if you haven't tried the raspberry lime rickey on a sweltering hot day you just can't know what "refreshing" really means. The prices are ok, BUT the redeeming factor on that is they are local and source ingredients locally and pay their employees fairly! I'll pay 5 bucks for an ice cream to support that!

good, but not outstanding, ice cream, friendly service. Pricey.

No sprinkles (apparently they aren't natural food)?...what kind of ice cream place is this?

Reviews seemed promising, as I love good ice cream. However, the experience was very disappointing. The shop is tucked away inside a collection of stores at 170 Water Street--be sure to wander to the back in order to find it, as you won't see it from the street. When we went inside, the place smelled somewhat sour. I'm unsure what it was--perhaps just the result of a hot summer day + sea air--but no where else had that scent. Undeterred, I opted for a double scoop of the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. The vanilla was somewhat bland, only a step up from soft serve. There were almost no chocolate chips in it at all. Though the cookie dough itself was ok and a sufficient amount, it was the only good part of the ice cream. I couldn't finish it. Having had ice cream pretty much every day during this trip through New England, I'm sorry to say this was the worst I've had. I would give one star, but my wife liked her Oreo ice cream waffle cone well enough, so I'm giving it two.

Best ice cream period! I grew up in Whitman, where the farm is located so I have been eating this stuff since birth. The ice cream tastes great, everything is all natural so no jimmies or soft serve (go eat chemicals somewhere else). My favorite is cappuccino chunk, great tasting coffee flavor with big chunks of chocolate. Their raspberry lime rickeys are very tasty and huge! The Plymouth spot is small and tucked away which is fine, keeps away tourists!

Stopped here for ice cream July 4th before heading back to Boston with my husband. We both had small cups of ice cream with cones on top. I had the low-fat banana split ice cream, which is low fat strawberry ice cream with chunks of pineapple, strawberry, and banana mixed in. It was good, except for the banana which had no flavor and I actually mistook for pieces of ice until about halfway in. My husband though the coffee flavor was okay, nothing to write home about. I would suggest eating in the courtyard near Peaceful Meadows instead of on the picnic tables. Much cozier, and they have back support. Also a great place for people watching.

Peaceful Meadows has two fault: 1) they dont have jimmies (bc they are made of wax and wax isnt natural). 2) The owner is a rather difficult person, when it comes to being pleasant to employees...not good for those poor girls in ridiculous uniforms on busy summer days, but good for customers bc the place is always spic and span. But besides all that, their icecream is by far the BEST around. Always fresh, always big portions, always interesting flavors and a huge menu. You can also get lower fat options, and they do amazing birthday cakes and gift certificates and make your own sundae kits. The best thing on the menu, hands down: the Reeses Fudge Sundae with choc chip icecream. I prefer the one in Village Landing, and they don't close early in the winter like all ther other downtown shops.

One of the few places on the south shore that still makes their own ice cream. They have simple flavors as well as a few New England favorites. Can be a bit crowded during hot summer days.

Peaceful Meadows is all about simplicity. They do not have a lot of toppings (although if you want a sundae you can get one with some ) because the ice cream is so creamy and rich, it really doesn't need much added to it. There are about a dozen varieties, all made fresh. The portions are extremely generous. The Plymouth location is a bit on the small side, but there are few picnic tables outside for you to enjoy your treat. I have enjoyed the Peppermint Pattie and my husband's buttercrunch was quite delicious.

Visited there last month while in Plymouth for a quick visit. Some of the BEST ice cream I've ever had. I had the orange pineapple. It was creamy, not too sweet - just perfect! My son had the cookie dough. It was creamy and delicious but had little cookie dough in it. I guess that's because the batches are hand mixed. The next day he had strawberry and it was great. I'm glad they don't have a store near me or I'd weigh 200 pounds!

I'm a fan of Peaceful Meadows, but the cookie dough in the cookie dough ice cream really isn't that great.

Peaceful Meadows is by far my favorite ice cream in the universe... the M&M will completely rock your world!! This location is right in Village Landing, so it's the perfect spot if you're lazily checking out the little shops here, or being wowed by Plymouth Rock. :o) Truly perfect, decadent homemade ice cream... words can't really describe how creamy, luscious and amazing it is. (Wait, I just did!) Peaceful Meadows makes THE BEST ice cream in the world, but this location is tiny. They do have a few picnic benches outside, but if you crave the authentic Peaceful Meadows experience, definitely make the trek to the Whitman location, complete with cows and farm. Best ice cream in Plymouth... so yumma yumma! (As the little redhead so accurately describes it.)

Awesome homemade ice cream here! We tried the oreo and chocolate chip flavors. Both were superb and you'll be fine with just a small size. Portions are ginormous. Great treat after dinner around the harbor.

This place has always been my favorite to get great homemade ice cream.... That is right folks! Homemade! They make frappes, sundaes, smoothies... You name it! They even do a great ice cream cake for occasions and sell gift certificates as well. It's a wonderful family owned business that is local to the area. It is well worth the walk even if you are all the way down near the Plymouth Rock and looking for some dessert. (You will pass Ziggy's and may be tempted to stop there but I promise you, keep going!) Yes, people often say it's a little pricey compared to other ice cream places but would you rather pay an extra dollar for homemade ice cream or stick to the basic soft serve on a sugar cone to save that dollar? Oh, did I mention that it is in a cute little location that has little shops and has outdoor seating?

I had an amazing Sunday here last Sunday! Lots of peanut butter, ice cream, and chocolate with a little marshmallow fluff on top. The staff was nice, and there wasn't a line because it was pouring rain. Definitely worth a stop the next time you're in downtown Plymouth!

Tasty treat for that late night craving. Try their seasonal flavors. The cranberry harvest ice cream with cranberries, choc chips, and walnuts in vanilla will hit the spot.

The candy kid sundae is one of the best ice cream treats I've ever had, ask for it with the chocolate whipped cream. Quality ice cream that may seem a little pricey but the product is good and well worth it in my opinion. Service is pretty fast even when they're very busy. They take credit cards too which is a rarity outside of Dairy Queen. Get your ice cream and take it over to the benches next to East Bay Grill and enjoy the view of Plymouth Harbor, it makes for a nice evening!
