The Driftwood is a trendy/cool bar restaurant. small, but lively. I love their unique menu, but unfortunately, the rich sauces tend to not settle well. Most diners absolutely love it. Great Staff, Beer list and cocktails. Occasional acoustic entertainment.

I heard so many good things about driftwood that I had to try it . I couldn't have been more disappointed . $15 for a cheese pretzel !!!! Are you kidding me?! If the pretzel was actually good it would be one thing but give me a break , They should be embarrassed to serve this garbage to people . I will never return to this overpriced hole in the wall . Save your money and don't waste your time .

Our first dining experience at The Driftwood did not disappoint! The menu offers original dishes and parings....Chef Brent is as much artist as he is chef. He and Jess were very friendly - we had exceptional service. Our meals were delicious! We can't wait to go back. I'll opt not to go to a seafood place more often!!

This is a great bar with nice microbrew beer selection. I came in close to closing time so it was empty, but the bartender was really cool, chatted with us for a bit and helped us choose our beers.

Beer selection is solid, food is heavy but well executed and delicious. I'm glad that Plymouth has begun to support places like this. I've been visiting my family every year in Plymouth and mostly been disappointed in the options until recently. First visit last year was on a quiet afternoon and I had a good meal and cocktails with great service. Second visit last night was quite the departure. Came out with 5 others last night excited to get lots of food. Came in ready to start ordering right when we arrived but were told the kitchen closed 10 minutes before 11 even though the website says it's open till 1. They offered to make us some pretzels, "but not like 5 of them" so we got 3 and were able to eat something; and they were good. First drinks (4 beers and a vodka soda) didn't arrive until after we were mostly finished with the food (15 min or more), no water offered. They were out of the beer that I ordered. Server was pleasant enough, but both servers making me feel like "that guy" for ordering food definitely tainted the experience. We are all industry and have served countless late night diners and I was looking forward to showing other locals the place that I liked, but wasn't able to. Why would the kitchen close over 2 hours early on a busy Saturday night? Beats me.

My wife and I arrived about 5PM and ordered Wine and Dinner. My wife ordered Chardonnay which was listed at $8 and Roasted Oysters. I ordered Chirico and clams which was very good despite the modest serving. When we got the check, the wine was $10 in lieu of the listed $8. My wife got 4 oysters on a very small bed of undressed greens, the oysters were tasteless and very disappointing, When asked about the wine increase, the waitress said that she substituted a"better" wine, if the wine ordered was so unfit why is it on the wine list,? besides upscaling a choice of wine without asking the patron is not only audacious but should never be done without asking. I left with the firm opinion that the description of the various items on the menu far exceed the actual taste of the food. We would never go there again, there are many far better places to eat in Plymouth and the surrounding environs/

IMO Best place in town for beers and apps. I have even gone there for brunch. They have live music too, nice touch. Every thing on the menu is delicious. Great for folks of all ages. NWT sells old beer from their local distributor. I know, I used to work for L. Knife. And Nosh is so poorly ventilated. You end up smelling like it for the rest of the day. Speedwell has a rodent problem and Full Sail is full of old hag bartenders.

Good beer selection. Good service. Went for the stuffed pretzel. It was decent. Might try again

Excellent craft beer selection, and good bar food. Try a pretzel. I haven't had anything like it elsewhere. If you like trying new beers, they'll likely have something new in the lines every other day.

Over 2 1/2 hours for a pretzel stuffed with dry turkey. Watch your bill. Charged us for a dozen oysters we didn't get. We won't be back.

It was nice to have a table right away, but it was set dirty, while the table next to us sat dirty for too long. I did admire the art, but began to notice all the dust bunnys around the restaurant. The beer was good. To start I ask if they were busy and she replied no. Then why did it take a half hour to get my fish tacos? They were a disappointment. My wife had the chowda, it was warm. Poor cleanliness, long food wait, and below average food. That was our experience. Will not return.

Had a very good meal at the bar here recently. The bartender makes a good drink, too. I was disappointed that the menu has changed, but we still found options to our liking. The flank steak was delish, as was the cheeseboard appetizer. The menu is pretty limited, so it's not really a place I'll frequent. Small and crowded is the name of the game here.

Driftwood Publik house was a spot that a friend of mine chose before I stepped foot in Plymouth on a recent weekend getaway to New England. I wanted to see the sights in Plymouth, the world famous Plymouth Rock & Mayflower II of all things and lunch in downtown Plymouth was warranted after all that. The reviews on Yelp made this choice a pretty good one, although when my friends and I stepped in here, it felt interesting. The Driftwood Publik house felt more of a pub than anything else. Yes, it's a restaurant too, but it served up your local brews at your fingertips. The ambiance was loud, as there was a live, but loud entertainer singing a few songs before he took a break. The Driftwood Publik House is located on Main Street in downtown Plymouth. Not much of a downtown, but its the main drag in and out of Plymouth, MA. Its easy to get here from Boston or Cape Cod / Falmouth, since it's about 45 minutes from either city. Parking is a challenge to find, although I parked on the loop near the Plymouth Rock and walked up a block to Driftwood. Not too bad though and it was free. The overall experience was short and sweet. Atmosphere is casual as the ambiance was loud due to the live entertainment. I thought I was going deaf at one point, since we were sitting directly near the speakers, so we had to move spots near the door, but it wasn't all better till the dude took a break. Maybe I am getting old or just like the quiet flow of things and good conversations at lunch. The service was quick and expected. I ordered the burger and it came with a unique way of making French fries. Like it was like fried wonton strips or pork rind strips - something like that, but it was French fries. My other two friends - one ordered the same burger, but with weird onion rings, and the other had a ginormous pretzel with many layers of cheese baked inside. I got to have a good sized chunk of it and it was pretty darn amazing, since she could not finish it all. My burger could have been better. Just A-ok. Nothing really to write home about, although having Tabasco sauce mixed in did kick it up a notch of two. Still, it isn't what I was expecting. While it was delicious, I was expecting more. The prices here were up there, but my friends unexpectedly treated me for hanging out with them, so that was very cool of them. Free lunch! Lol Overall, this place is good. Maybe it would've been better if I had tried some of their liquor, but I had a marathon in Cape Cod to run the next morning, so I probably took my own advice and lay off that till afterwards. While I am trying to love this place, I don't think it stood out to me as someplace I would go back to again - if I was in the area. While I may go for just drinks with friends, the food here can be skipped for something worthwhile for the price. A-Ok. Support local! B-

My favorite restaurant in Plymouth. Everything is on point; food, service, beer selection, unique drink specials, and the food (worth saying twice).

Let's start with atmosphere it pulled this up to a 4 star instead of the 3 I would have given for just the food! Great bar with micro brews, live acoustic music on a Saturday afternoon fantastic! Small inside quaint tables. We were so excited to try the philly cheese steak stuffed pretzels it was just ok. Felt like it was missing something.

This is a great pub. It has all the elements for a good time, comfortable atmosphere, great beer selection, a fresh raw bar, and some Great appetizer options. I had heard about their stuffed pretzel and saw it on the Phantom Gourmet, so I was really looking forward to trying one. This was one of those pleasant experiences when the actual product was even better than expected. These pretzels were great. Stuffed with the perfect combination of meat and cheese, and served with a home made chipotle dipping sauce. The outside was light and not overly doughy. A must try. One of these and an order of wings is enough for two. Service was friendly and attentive. The space is small so if you are with a large group it could be a challenge, but if you are in Plymouth Center this is a must try. Plus, how can you go wrong when the waitress is wearing a Bill Murray T shirt. Perfect.

Very strong gastropub. Not for a Bud Light manly men driving around Plymouth in Ford F-350's. Only unique beers, and great food. Special Menu changes a lot and that's great. Food is very rich and salty, which is perfect because that makes the drinks that much better. Go in with a relaxed mood and don't be all tourist mode and you'll do just fine here.

Visiting from Tennessee and stopped in for lunch with a local. We had the vegan burger with sweet potato wedges, yummy!! We also sampled the French Fries, never had anything like it. Loved them!!

Do not walk, RUN to the Driftwood. Polite, on point service, live acoustic music, great beer selection, fantastic burger...and then there's that steak and cheese pretzel. To.Die.For. 100% winner.

  • Nathan L.

My favorite restaurant in Plymouth. That being said, I wish they would add buffalo wings to their menu and add a more traditional, hand cut French fry. The live music can be bothersome and the wait can be discouraging, but it's well worth it. EDIT: They rolled out the new menu and to my satisfaction, added wings. Couldn't be happier.

  • Daniel R.

I still love this place, but cool it with the acoustic rock on the weekends. It's not like I get to listen to some original guitar music. These guys play the most cliched butt-rock covers at an ear-splitting volume for like 4 hours during the afternoon. That is 4 hours that you could be making money off of that space that they take up. I can't even hear the person next to me speaking because Chaz Shnozington is tearing through his blistering rendition of "Plush" for what seems like the 40th time. When the song ends instead of polite clapping you hear whispers of "thank f*cking god." This is a place that cares about having unique and original food items and hand crafted beers from around the area and country, but is content to have a hack playing a reggae version of "Don't Stop Believin'" with the knob turned to 11 to accompany the meal. I don't get it.

This is a very cozy pub in downtown Plymouth but by comparison they have one of the best menus. On the night I went my husband and I started with a chicken/bacon/prosciutto/cheese stuffed pretzel with ranch dipping sauce. Wow was that good! Heavy, but good. For dinner my husband had the Driftwood Burger which came with bacon, caramelized onions, pepper jack cheese and a side of homemade BBQ sauce & beer battered onion rings that melt in your mouth. I had the sun dried tomato, spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast over mixed greens. We both were Very happy with our meals. My husband was a big fan of the beer selection, I might add and I ordered the holiday punch which was delicious! Love this place!

Love the new menu! The grilled oysters are great and the chicken and waffles are great too! The pink peppercorn butter is good but the peppercorns add a weird spice to the honey butter and the honey mustard mixes with the syrup weirdly.

I came to DPH around the time that they first opened and thought "eh, it was ok." Went in last night and was VERY impressed. Nice craft beer selection although some of the beer prices were a little steep (e.g., Six Points 3 Beans $12. It's a fantastic beer from Brooklyn but that's about what I paid for a 4-pack recently. Other bottles were in the $20-$40 range - must have been larger bottles but that's still pretty $$$). Had the Kobe hotdog and LOVED it. Also, the fries are fantastic. Great flavor for shoestring fries (which can sometimes come out dried and tasteless if not done well - Driftwood nails it though). Thanks for bringing some food revolution to Ply!

Matt and his team were AWESOME! The Mule of the Week could have came in vats and I would have asked for five. Tried the Veggie Pretzel... DO IT! (Although the Philly looked just as delicious!) a definitely must do if you venture to Pilgrim Town.

We tried this place twice and twice we were disappointed. First time around we had dinner I had the shepherds pie with braised beef and it was just mushy and hardly any beef in it my husband had the stuffed cabbage and that came out like a casserole and was not very good. Second time around we decided to go get fries and the stuff pretzel everyone talked about. The Yukon fries came in a martini glass which for me was a turn off and for 7 dollars maybe you got 7 starchy lumps of potatoes and the pretzel stuffed with cheese and again not very much steak. We got drinks and my drink was just ok and we spent 50 dollars I would of much rather been at the Nosh!!

Last year this pace was just amazing. Not just the food, but the cleanliness, ambiance and the staff. It has soooooo gone downhill and I can't think why. Perhaps the thrill has gone. You can't live on stuffed pretzels alone, and burgers are everywhere in Plymouth. I'll go to New World Tavern in the future, until this place regains its style.

Yuck!! This place is over rated. I had pesky flies around my food in January! They were probably hatched in the kitchen gross!! Won't be going back - not to mention the food is stuck in my throat!

My first experience at Driftwood was terrible. My friends and I went here on New Years Eve while wandering the streets of Plymouth looking for a good bar to ring in the New Year. Not much after 12:00, we got thrown up on by a very intoxicated patron. All of us. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever experience. Why did we return, you ask? I don't have a good answer for you. The ambiance is nice, and the food menu looked great, and I think we were just genuinely curious whether or not that experience could ever be topped. So, my girlfriend and I went here on Wednesday. We unfortunately arrived at four, which is when they serve only the limited menu. If you're going to go... aim to go before 3 or after 5. Luckily, their limited menu still included the stuffed pretzel, which I was dying to try. It was everything I've dreamed of and more. It was perfectly stuffed with steak, cheese and onions and the sauce it came with added the perfect amount of spice. It was amazing. I've been craving more ever since. My girlfriend got the chicken cordon bleu pizza, which was a special that day. I didn't care for it. They used swiss cheese in place of the mozzarella and it just gave it a sort of...off taste. She loved it, though. To each their own. They have a full bar and a pretty extensive beer list, too. Which is cool. To sum it up, I wish that I could pick Driftwood up and move it closer to home so I could go there all the time. And I wish that I never got vomited on there, because I don't know that I can ever look past that.

Came here last summer, food was good but not great. Service left much to be desired. There are so many options in Plymouth for dinner and unfortunately I don't think this place makes the cut for me.

On a recent one of my once-every-two-years returns to my hometown to remind myself just how much it doesn't resemble the place i grew up, me and the girl were looking for a place for dinner. Unsatisfied with the first page of results on my iPhone, i scrolled a bit further and stopped at the word 'gastropub', declaring the search over. Because of beer, mostly, but it was fortuitous indeed. Simply put, this was one of the best meals i've had this year. Even if it took the form of small plates, each one was really unique and delicious. The seasoned corn on the cob is pretty much always awesome everywhere, and this was no exception. What was more impressive was the stuffed pretzel, which was teeming with tasty goodies on the inside. It was warm and junkfoody, but so flavorful, too. And the Belgian meatballs were just ridiculously tasty, and were drenched in some sort of sauce that was immediately hijacked for use upon everything else on the table. Particularly the thin little french fries, which were last on the list only because we were so full. The beer list is also noteworthy; a decent length, and superbly chosen. The signage from other breweries suggests that whatever else they rotate through is all in similarly good taste. Better still, both the drink and the food are extremely affordable, being an hour from Boston. It's spartan and worn-in on the inside, and reminds me of the Atwater in Cambridge, in a good way. The staff is very friendly (and, near as i could tell, wasn't anyone i went to high school with) and enthusiastic about their offerings. With very good reason. It warps my fragile little mind to think that a place this good exists in my old hometown, and now i have a better reason to go back.

On Court St in Plymouth there are a lot of pubs, bars, taverns and places to grab a bite of eat at all hours of the night. Driftwood is....well....you'd miss it if you weren't looking for it! The 'House' is a small hole in the wall, out of all of the places around it, the large sign is pretty recognizable, and out-of-place with the very utilitarian neighbors it shares. As you walk in, the bar area takes up most of the space along the left wall, with good reason, as they have more beer on-tap then most other places on this strip (New World Tavern being it's only rival, methinks.) Along the right side are a couple taller stools with tables, and by the 2 large bay windows were two very large booths for larger groups, or anyone looking for a little bit more of an intimate seating arrangement. Now, why the place only got 3 stars. Most of the places in the area offer some kind of waiter-style service that will, as expected, bring a menu over, take your orders, etc, etc. It took probably 25 minutes for someone to finally see that we came in (granted, it WAS quite busy that day, but there should be someone watching the door at least), and after taking our orders, probably wasn't for another 20 minutes or so that she came back with the drinks we ordered. The menu is rather large and pretty surprising for the location; though the beer selection is where it was at. Most of the selections were microbrews from local breweries, from the typical Sam Adams/Mayflower fare, to stuff you might not have expected to see (Bacon Beer specialists and Magic Hat were two that stood out.) We had got the special of the evening, it was a 3-cheese pizza with sun dried tomatoes, chicken and sausage. After getting the drinks, unfortunately, it was another long time before the food arrived, and the waitress never returned until it was time to go. Like I said earlier, they were busy, it's to be expected...but....huh, come on. We left shortly after, knowing that if we didn't approach the bar for water or another beer, we probably wouldn't be getting anything else, though the food was amazing. 3 stars out of 5, I would definitely return.

Went to the Driftwood Publick House @ 39 Court Street in Plymouth Ma. Saw it on Fathom Gourmet I'm starting to think this show is over rated with their likes. This is not the first time we have gone somewhere that was bad. Arrived there at 3:25pm to be told they only serve stuffed pretzels steak and cheese, pastrami and cheese or hawaiian or margarita pizza between 3 and 5. Took so long to get a beer and order pretzels. Pretzel was good, service sucked very very slow . Never going back..

As other people have noted, the food and the beer selection here are both quite good and they have continued to draw me back. It's an excellent brunch option for discerning foodies. Unfortunately, the Driftwood also features GLACIAL service. Over the course of a half dozen visits, it's become apparent that regardless of where one sits and how busy or empty the restaurant, one has to wait an interminable length of time to order, request another drink, or make arrangements to pay ones tab. On one recent occasion, the bartender brought over our food, neglected to notice our empty glasses, and spent the remainder of our meal with his back to us conversing with other staff and performing side work while his parched customers suffered. I'm not sure if the issue is that the restaurant is understaffed and employees have too many other duties or if it's a matter of in attentiveness. Once it's rectified, I have no doubt that the Driftwood will be a resounding success.

Craft beer and food that's made to order! The Driftwood is hands down my favorite spot to grab a drink/dinner after work during the week. It does get a bit busy and loud late and on the weekends. Make no mistake, this is a pub. If you're looking for a romantic quiet dinner, don't come here. If you enjoy good craft beer, cheese and meat boards, small plates and some really unique daily specials this is THE spot in Plymouth. Try the pretzel, the Driftwood fries or even the Kangaroo nachos if they have them. Their Sunday brunch is limited, but better than average. They even have a bacon and egg stuffed pretzel from time to time. If you're looking for this style of cuisine/beer/pub this is about as good as it gets in Plymouth.

Love this spot. My wife and I stumbled on Driftwood one trip to Plymouth and now we pop in here ever time we are down the Cape or returning from the Cape. Great beer selection and to repeat other reviewers the pretzel is bomb; we've been known to order one for a snack and one for the road. I noticed they have live acts too, which have been solid the few times we caught them. Also, We did brunch here once and it was fantastic, but beware it gets packed at brunch. Overall the place is outstanding, only 'eh' is the service is hit or miss, but has been better the last few times we went. Definitely, worth checking out if your in Plymouth or looking for a solid pit stop on your way back north .

My boyfriend and I came here on Sunday night. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks and apps. I'm giving 4 stars because I cannot deny that the beer choices are great and the food was awesome. I will definitely be back. We shared the steak & cheese stuffed pretzel, a salad, and the meatballs. All were phenomenal. Perfect amount of flavor, and we didn't feel as though we were stuffed to the max (go to any bar/pub and nachos, potato skins and fried items are the only options) The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the service of one of the bartenders. I was a waitress/bartender for years... so I'm pretty understanding if you're just not having a good day. No friendly hello, no smile, no concern for us at all. It was just uncomfortable. I actually thought about leaving, it felt as though we were bothering her. She seemed kind of like this to everyone whom she didn't consider a friend or regular... but maybe she was having a bad day. Near the end the guy behind the bar slowly started taking care of us (beer refill, packing up leftovers, etc). We always have a good time, but it can just be a damper when the person serving you is a Debbie downer..

    (4)
  • Melissa L.

I can't speak to the food here because I haven't had the patience to sit around long enough and wait to be served. I actually lived in the apartments right next door to this place and even knew the owner who is frequently behind the bar. I went in 5 times and 4 of those times I ended up leaving because I waited over 15 minutes without being acknowledged. The one time I stayed it was only 10 minutes for me to get a beer at the bar... I wanted to this place but service is a pretty big deal to me when I'm paying for it and there's a million other places in plymouth where it's much better.

A great addition to the downtown Plymouth area. We had friends visiting for the weekend and decided to try this place for dinner. Driving down the main street, we almost missed this place. We were lucky enough to snag the last table on an already busy Saturday night, despite it being early (around well before 6PM). They definitely have a large beer menu, and a bit overwhelming for me. I am not a huge fan of beer but I like to try different ones. I went with the Marston's Oyster Stout which turned out to be much lighter than the dark color would suggest. The food menu has sufficient variety and portions were pretty big. We shared Angry Oysters (I believe they had bacon, spinach, sirarcha, and cheese), the special stuffed pretzel (freshly baked pretzel stuffed with chicken sausage, cheese, and some other yummy items), and chicken lollipops. Everything was very good, with the oysters and pretzel being our favorites. Each of our entrees were just as good, but the thin crust margherita pizza was the standout for me. No room for dessert as we were stuffed. Service was efficient and friendly. We left very happy, and looking forward to going back. On a side note, we did have an 8 year old with us, and we did not feel awkward about it. No child's menu but there is enough variety on the menu to satisfy kids. No reservations taken on weekends, and only for parties of 6 or larger on weekdays (at least that was what I was told over the phone).

I've been here multiple times with several different people. It's a great place for a date night on a week night, a beer after work or getting together with a few friends. Their beer selection is great and their food is to die for. I could eat several dozen of their grilled oysters and my favorite dinner is the beef stroganoff - wow is it good. The pretzel is always the way to go if you don't know what to get and the oyster chowder is big enough to share with a friend (even though you might not want to). My boyfriend and I love this place and will frequent it now that we've moved to Plymouth :-)

Omg !! The best oyster chowder I've every had ! We also tried the steak and cheese pretzel ... To Die For! Wish we lived closer! Keep up the great job Driftwood Publick House!!

Pretty good, I was impressed. Try the pretzel, its really good. One thing about this place is that they love their salt. Thats about the only drawback. The server (whom im assuming was the owner) was really friendly and helpful.

Great craft beer selection and a limited but very good lunch and dinner menu. The stuffed pretzel is ridiculously good as is the cranberry walnut salad. I also highly recommend the Shepherds Pie. It is very different from traditional Shepherds Pie but it is delicious as its own creation, including the braised short rib meat which is used in it. Reasonably priced as well. A great place, albeit a little tight on space.

Ok beer selection and that is about it here. I was meeting friends in Plymouth and we picked the Driftwood for the beer selections. There were 4 of us and we all agreed this is why places change names so much in Plymouth, none of us knew what to think of this place. Ok so the name does say Publick House, that doesnt actually denote "restaurant". The place is small but the wait wasn't long at all for a table, while we were there we did watch another table seated only to get up and leave after looking at the menu. We still figured we would have a few beers and a few app's then be on our way. In the end we all thought a waste of time and money. I don't know what is up with the menu, who it is aimed at or what statement they are trying to make, but for most of the general public it is a big MISS. The menu is barely one sheet, so not much to pick from. We did get wings and 2 of the stuffed pretzels. The wings, by typical Bar Room standard maybe barely make the grade. They had a funny name and description and in the end they were plain old "chicken wings" The two pretzels, OVERPRICED! Yah the description really talks them up but in the end we could hardly tell the difference between the two we had. The Philly CHeese Steak one? worst version of something with that name that I have ever tasted. Other than seeing meat in it you would be hard pressed to guess what it was, it was nothing like steak, maybe more like steak-ums? The fact that between the regular menu and the specials there was not one decent entree, it seems we have seen nearly all this place has to offer and wont be back. Yah there are fish places all over Plymouth and every place has burgers and fries, so tough to be different, this place sure is different but not in a good way at all.

Popped into this place on a Road trip from Maine down onto the Cape for 4th of July weekend. First thing I noticed was a great selection of music they had playing. Food: Amazing (get the Driftwood Burger!) Beer: over 50 to choose from! Service: A+ Overall this is a place you should check out if you like great people, music, and food!

Cool place great beer selection. I got the chicken n waffles it was great. Then I noticed everyone around me was getting the stuffed pretzels, so I ordered a steak n cheese stuffed pretzel to go. It was awesome if you go get the stuffed pretzel.

Returned to this past week for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The menu has changed but they had an interesting assortment of new pretzels (short rib pretzel!) that we skipped for the cheese and meat chucaterie boards. The cheese were great but the meats were a little on the going out side of freshness and weren't that great say in comparison with what you might find in Boston, or even across the street at the New World Tavern (another in a slew of Taverns opening up in and around Plymouth). We also had their Oyster Po Boy which was dredged in blue corn meal and it was on par with anything you'd find on Bourbon Street. Beer selections still the best, and change with the seasons...wife had a fantastic wheat seasonal, and I a dark bock that was just rocking.

Driftwood Publick House . If you enjoy eating oysters that have been sitting out uncoverd all day. While slurpping down luke warm $10 micro-brews served by a snotty hipster . Then this is the place for you . If you're not in the mood for a 10 dollar blueberry Micro-brew, and say you request them to make you a rum punch. The homophobic hipster behind the counter will not only refuse to make your drink but will also call you a fagot ,and say "the only thing they serve there is micro brews and whiskey. Which are drinks for Real Men". To be honest the steak and cheese pretzel we got was quite delicious. Unfortunately the hipster behind the counter( who I found out later is also the owner) had already ruined my experience for me. You own a crappy Bar in downtown Plymouth. Keep treating your patrons like jerks and you will not last very long.

Try the stuffed pretzel, then try the craft beer! We all ordered a different beer and split a pizza. Really enjoyed our lunch and will be back. Nice stop on our Plymouth sightseeing day.

Mediocre food and super slow service for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Pricey meals from a very limited selection. Beers were great but wait staff so slow that all they were pushing were the drinks. Would not go again.

This place was awesome, a little tight in space but the food and live entertainment was well worth it.

Dick Brown's buffalo chicken chowder is my favorite. You have to try the stuffed pretzels. They make a staple pretzel, philly stuffed with marinated flat irons and am. cheese and a special pretzel of the week. My favorite was the chicken fajita stuffed pretzel that came with a cheddar jack cheese dipping sauce. If you visit downtown plymouth, be sure to stop here for a pretzel and a beer you probably never heard of but will absolutely love!

Awesome local place! Great alternative to clam chowder and scallop rolls! Staff is super friendly, we split a Philly Pretzel, amazing! The steak, peppers an onions were inside the pretzel. Specials were really interesting, lots of different ingredients. Great beer list! A sweet little bar/dinner place.

A traditional pub atmosphere with some non-traditionally delicious food. A must is the stuffed pretzel. We had the seasonal Thanksgiving in a pretzel. The oyster stew was so good, I'd easily become addicted. The beer menu was adventurous with something for any craving. It had a lively and friendly vibe and live music began around 9 PM. We didn't stay but will next time. Definitely would recommend.

I have to start this by saying that the beer/wine/drink selection and the friendliness of the owner and waitstaff are still as great as they were on day one. But the last couple of times I've come in have been just a bit disappointing food wise. My husband and I came in recently, fresh from our respective commutes home and ravenous. We ordered a few apps to share and some drinks. I have to say that the shrimp and grits were really good, if a bit over salted, but the salad we got was thrown together and way overdressed, and the special stuffed pretzel was burnt on the bottom and kind of dry overall...and really salty. Hey I know it's a pretzel, okay? I know it's supposed to be salty. But it's really a pretzel pretending to be a calzone, so... Anyway the food was whatever but what really irked me is that it took almost an hour to come out. Even when the waitress flew by (they seemed understaffed and full to the brim with locals and tourist families with a million kids, which is weird because it is first and foremost a bar) and told us it would be right out, it still took another 15 minutes. Honestly, this place could benefit from a more seasonal rotating menu. They have chalkboard specials every night which is great, but none of them struck me this past time as particularly summery? Comfort food is awesome and I love it, but the menu seems overall wintry...I think it needs another seafood dish, a veggie burger, and maybe nix the pretzel thing, tighten up the pizza execution and offer more varieties. I'm no expert but that might make me come back because I DO like this place a lot. I'm just less excited to eat here now.

My fiancee and I stopped in just to grab a drink before we went somewhere else for dinner. We ended up taking a look at the menu and the specials and everything sounded so great! Then we saw the food being served and decided to stay. We were there for over 3 hours, had a great time and great food. We can't wait to go back!! We had the poblano pepper stuffed with cream cheese and manchego and then deep fried, the veggie & swiss stuffed pretzel and then I had the nutella crepes while my fiancee had the oyster chowder. I don't have one complaint about any of the food. It was all beautifully presented and tasted awesome! My fiancee also loved the fact that they only serve micro-brews. He had 4 different beers and enjoyed all of them. I didn't have a drink, but some of their drink specials sounded really good. I'll definitely try one next time.

Simply the best "brew pub" in Plymouth. I took my relatives from the New York area to dine here for lunch this past weekend and they still haven't stopped talking about the great service and food.

Yes it's crowded and it always has a wait, but its worth it. You must try a stuffed pretzel but bring friends to share as it is huge. The food is flavorful, thoughtful and of great quality. Thank goodness you came to Plymouth!

I have never had a bad experience here and I'm in here once or twice a week. I bring everyone that comes to visit me to Driftwood to show them that Plymouth isn't some sleepy town where you can only grab a bud light. Phenomenal beer selection, different food choices (kangeroo nachos)! The Driftwood fry plate is awesome in size and taste. The pretzels are conversation topics, the brunch on the weekends in great can you say Bacon Bloody Mary?! yes. please.

HORRIBLE!! Thats the only word I can use to describe my experience here. My family and I tried the Driftwood on a Monday night. We only had an hour so we were happy to see only one other table and thought we would be fine because they were not busy. So we sat down and ordered. We placed our order at 5 pm after about 20 min of waiting for our food the waitress came out with my food and my wifes then after about 10 min she came out with my 8 yr old daughters burger yet still no food for my 6 yr old.after another 5 min or so she came back to the table to tell us that the kitchen fouled up the 19$ chicken and waffles and had to redo it.after another ten min of waiting and still no food I had to leave to take my 8 yr old to girlscouts she ate her burger walking to the car. As I returned to find out the food finally came and my wife said it was just a glorified lego eggo waffle with a breaded chicken breast not worth 19$!so when I asked how they resolved the failure she told me they did nothing! I couldn't believe it! They should have at the very least taken something off the bill. My wife and I have a combined 40+ years in the restaurant industry and we were blown away that neither the server or management did not see a need to fix the obvious disaster! If they at least made an effort to try and fix the problem we would have given them a second chance because working in the industry we know everything doesn't always go smooth! With so many other options in the area we will not be going back!

Great place! Different flavors than the norm! I had scallops drizzled with a prickly pear reduction over pineapple salsa....delicious! Everything is made to order so understand it takes time for these delectable delights! They gave me 3 samples of beer that they thought would compliment my meal, helped me enjoy my dining pleasure!

I would give 5 stars but then people would assume I work here, I absolutely love this place, borderline obsessed. I can not think of a single thing I don't like about it. The food is something you would see on the food network. The Pretzel, try it before you die is all I have to say about it. This places drinks are out of this world and some people may not like how small it is, but I think it helps keep the food/drink quality up high, they don't have to feed 250 people so they can really make a quality dish each time. The live music is awesome too.

The first thing wrong with this place was the slow service, 2nd thing is that they should put somewhere on there website or somewhere so that people know that between the hours of 2:30 to 5 is a very very limited menu, 3rd the beer we ordered was piss warm, the waitress was extremely slow, the bar was even slower. All we ordered were drinks for 2 and we had waited 2 min for the waitress to bring over water, then come back 10 min later with piss warm beer. I saw this place on Phantom Gourmet and we were looking for something different and it was aweful. It was dirty, slow service, and no food to really choose from. WILL NEVER EVER RETURN.

I've been here before with no service problems or food problems. I took my mom here for lunch she ordered the breakfast sandwich I ordered the bratwurst plate. When I ordered I had sent a text message to a friend 45 minutes later my mom asked me how long it had been since we ordered I looked at my phone to see when that text was sent exactly 45 minutes. The waitress was very nice and said our order did not come out right and the kitchen had to re do our order. When our food finally arrived one of my sausages was slightly pink on the inside but I was so hungry I chanced it. About 15 minutes later I started to feel pain in my stomach by the time I got back to my mothers I was on the couch well I had gotten food poisoning and stuff started coming out of me I was in bed the rest of the day.Mind you I had nothing else to eat that day. The food tasted good, the waitress was friendly but this place has a big problem in the kitchen.

The area needed a real beer bar with good food. The beer selection is great, they always have something I've never heard of on tap. Food, so far, has been decent. Belgian meatballs are amazing. If you're in the area, check it out.

We heard about the Driftwood on Phantom Gourmet. I am glad we saw that show. We have been there twice. We had a salad which was good, my wife had a great burger and I had the oyster po' boy. I love the oysters on that sandwich( but it needed remoulade which the chef told me they would make next time). The second time we had the basket of fries with potato, zucchini, onions and parm cheese. Outstanding. My wife had another burger( she needs to be a little more adventurous) and I had the chicken and waffles. WOW. Honestly, the flavor combination of the butter, honey mustard and syrup was so unexpected it just blew me away. Frankly, if I died from eating it I would be happy, but I would rather live to go back and try more of the menu. Cozy seating, we always seem to meet somebody nice to speak with and very good service. Interesting beer selection and decent wine list. Did I mention the chicken and waffles? No, I haven't tried the steak and cheese pretzel, but next time.....

Meh. It was just OK. Service was awesome. Kangaroo nachos were dry and flavorless. Didn't have the Philly cheesesteak pretzel, which is supposed to be great..but, based on the food we tried, that's probably overhyped too.

This place is getting insanely popular (and with good reason). Go early on a Saturday (went with a group of 6 on Saturday, but had no problem getting a table at 3:30ish). Order the cheesesteak-stuffed pretzel. Then order the fig-prosciutto pizza. Accompany these with some amazing beers or cocktails (Alley Cat gets my vote). Maybe get some kangaroo nachos (a little gamy, but delicious regardless). You're welcome.

Well. I went to Driftwood today to have lunch with my wife and kid. To be honest, I have been here a few times for beer, but really wanted to come back and have a meal. I figured we would take our kid (knowing that the place isn't very kid friendly) and have a lunch. We got there at 1145am to have a beer and lunch. One of the staff came out and said that she didn't think that they were going to open because of electrical problems. No problem, we understood, and we started to leave. When the manager/owner came out and said... No no no, we can serve you we will just have a limited menu, but we can do it. GREAT! He said that pretzels would be available... that is what I had heard so much about and wanted to try. So we settled in and had a beer, placed our order... and waited... and waited... and waited... So, I want to say our server was absolutely amazing. She checked on us, apologized numerous times, and was really good about keeping our drinks filled. It took 1hr 45min to get out lunch (pretzel and chicken salad sandwich).... I think we understood and dealt really well with the wait. I know that there was an issue in the kitchen that was causing them not to run at full strength. I think that I was upset... when I got the bill and it was full price. I am not someone who looks for free stuff, or even expect to get something for nothing. But I really thought that they should have offered us a small discount for waiting so long and the issues with the limited menu. I think that is just good business. Only our waitress spoke with us and said that she was sorry... the owner/manager never said anything apologetic to us about the issue. So I guess my point is... the food is really good.... beer selection is awesome and well thought-out... The atmosphere is pretty cool.... and their servers are great... but I think that for our effort to stay and wait and support them through their issue.... We should have been offered something or at least a "thanks"

A friend had told me about the Philly Steak and Cheese Stuffed Pretzel. Of course I had to try this!!!! I was in the area for business...decided to stop for lunch. The bartender/server was very nice. When I asked for the stuffed pretzel she said " the Thanksgiving or the Philly?" Now you know this raised my curiosity...I had to know what this Thanksgiving pretzel was...she explained that it was a pretzel stuffed with turkey, stuffing, cranberry and served with a side of gravy for dipping. As much as I wanted to try that unbelievable sounding treat, I came for a reason...to try the Philly. After a short wait, out came one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen on a platter...and I do mean platter...this thing is huge!!!!! Nicely stuffed with fresh ingredients...this pretzel was as good if not better than I expected. Absolutely delicious. For most people it would be two meals...I am a big eater and this was a lot. I would recommend anyone who is intrigued by this concept to make the trip to the Driftwood to have a go at it. For $13 bucks it was entirely worth it. They also have a real nice selection of beers to go along with the pretzel. They sell Mayflower which is a local brewery...awesome beer. All I know is I will be back within the next couple weeks to try the Thanksgiving pretzel. Nice job Driftwood!!!!!!

My husband and I went to the Driftwood for the first time on a Friday afternoon last month (February 2013). We went for lunch at around 1pm (information on this site is wrong in stating they open at 4pm). The food was absolutely delicious!! We started with a salad that had an extremely generous amount of goat cheese and candied walnuts, with a great dressing. Also had the edamame, with a spiced olive oil drizzle. For our main lunch entrees, my husband had the oyster po'boy, and I had the blackforest ham sandwich, with yuka chips. Very, very good lunch! We also had an excellent bottle of red wine (Red Zinfandel) that was extremely reasonably priced. This was such a pleasant surprise, as I am a wine drinker, and on first impression the Driftwood seems to be a "beer' place. Love that they took care of their wine patrons, too! The two people having lunch next to us shared with us their enjoyment of the food they ordered..they were devouring a huge bowl of clam chowder with fried oysters on top.... Can't say enough good things about my first meal at the Driftwood, and am dying to go back to try those pretzels!

The Good - the beer selection. The Bad - the food. The Ugly - the ambiance and the food. Always nice to find a place that serves good Belgian and German brews, and in the proper glasses. In a sea of Bud light, watery Coronas, and Coors light, the beer selection here is refreshing. Unfortunately that's the only thing going for The Driftwood. The calamari was dry and chewy in a bad way. The Belgian meatballs were tasty enough to provide a base for drinking good beer but were otherwise forgettable. The Margherita pizza was an attempt at artisanal pizza but the crust was too doughy, not crisp, and it tasted like regular sauce from a jar and some grocery store sliced mozzarella melted on top. Like so many places in Plymouth, the menu descriptions aspired to be more than they actually could deliver. As for ambiance, by 9pm on a Thursday it got really crowded and really loud. Loud is fine when it's just the crowds but when the bar cranked up the random music it did nothing to help the situation. It was annoying. Too bad, Plymouth could really use a well rounded bar where a group of friends of any age can hang out, enjoy some great brews, and decent food instead of looking for the exit.

Very diverse and delicious menu. I love the onion rings that come with the hamburger. It has a really great selection of beer. In my opinion It ties with the Rye Tavern as the two best restaurants in Plymouth (unfortunately have yet to find a five star in Plymouth.)

They finally brought a piece of Cambridge to the South Shore. This place is what a tavern should represent. Locally owned/operated, food is better than anything you'll find in a tavern. Wait, did I mention the beer/ambiance.. Check it out for yourself. 5 Stars.

Expected much more after reading other reviews. Nice place - it's new. Beer is beer and it's common to offer variety in today's market - so with respect to the beer selection they are on par. Bread was great with roasted garlic bulb. Wife ordered the mussels and scallops. She graciously offered me a mussel. That's a big deal because it's her favorite food. Wouldn't you know it, I bit into a bad one. Nothing gets me more irritated than when I bite into a bad piece of seafood. It's entirely preventable to serve bad seafood - my respect for the preparers disappears when this happens. The scallops were over done and served with mushy veggies. I had the blue corn calamari and the arugula salad. The calamari was OK but have had better - theirs is likely a healthier recipe than the ones I like better though. The salad was bland. Also, they should ditch the battery-powered salt and pepper mills. I felt very conspicuous using them - the sound of motors is fine at the track! The waitress even apologized for presenting them to me for use. Life is too short and there are many more restaurants yet to try. When I get burned I remain nice to the server, pay the bill (with a generous tip) and silently complain with my feet leaving the establishment, never to return, while I mentally inventory the points I want to make on Yelp. I used Yelp to choose you - I'll use Yelp to reward you. Get it right good people or your venture will pass away quicker than deep-Winter's daylight. Bad seafood is bad business!

I consider this my local. I enjoy good craft beer (especially Belgian-style). Driftwood has a great, variable selection. I like good, creatively prepared food and Driftwood delivers (and is one of only a few in Plymouth that does, sadly). Once (out of myriad visits) my food was over salted but it was awhile ago. Dishes that have knocked me over with their awesomeness include Kangaroo nachos, (lobster in a red pepper sauce served with squid ink croquettes, and every Pretzel special they've had. The blue corn calamari is why my dad always wants to come here when he visits. The atmosphere here is comfortable and homey on any night but Saturday nights, when it's bumping, but not obnoxious. When Game of Thrones is on you might get attitude if you talk loudly during the show. Otherwise, everyone here is super friendly and enjoys good banter with the customers. A great addition to the Plymouth scene and I hope it never goes!

I went here with my mom and sister last night...We were feelin fancy so we got three Apps and three Entrees. Everything was delicious and priced low enough you can share a couple small plates with out breaking the bank. I hate going to places that serve Tapas or small plates and trying a few things and then realizing I just spent twice as much that a lobster dinner would have cost me. They have menu items you're not going to find anywhere else around here for a really good price. We ordered the cheese board (for only 12$!), the grilled corn topped with cojita (I think, I had never heard of it) cheese and cilantro, and the mussels for starters....Everything was delicious. I wished I had asked for the rest of the cranberry mustard that came with the cheese board in a to-go container as I want to cover everything I eat for the rest of my life in it. For dinner my mother ordered the Shepard's Pie, which was lovely, my sister ordered a special...buffalo chicken soup which was unique and amazing. I ordered the driftwood burger and that was the only thing that was slight mis-step....I ordered it medium and it was nearly well done and the would-be delicious buttered brioche bun was over grilled and blackened a bit on the inside. The overall result was just a little too dry for my liking. It certainly wasn't inedible, but it wasn't as good as I would have hoped. The burger also came with onion rings that were tempura battered. They were good but under-seasoned, needed copious salt and pepper. The best part of the whole plate was the bbq- type sauce I dipped my burger and rings in. The strange guy that came over the table and asked if he could try my onion rings loved them...(true story...so odd) I let him.....so random guy in the polo shirt would probably give them 5 stars, but I only give them 3. Beer......HOLY BEER....best beer list in a 30 mile radius I'm sure. The food was wonderful and if you're a beer lover this should be the next place you go for dinner. It's a great place to try something new, they give a good description of their different brews including the ABV, which I've never seen any bar or restaurant take the time to do this far south of Boston. When I was debating what to order my waitress offered a few suggestions and I was really happy with my dogfishead My Antonia. Staff....everyone was really nice and fairly knowledgeable....I imagine since its a new place the staff is still working on becoming experts, anything my server didn't know off hand she found the answer from someone who did....Really happy with my experience here, can't wait to go back.....you know I'm A, BORED and B, either really happy or unhappy with my service somewhere when I take the time to write a review this long....in this case I'm happy and bored.

Yes, Eek!,methinks not. This place feels like a townie hangout bar where people come to drink and never leave. I guess theres nothing wrong with that (if you re a townie) but I dont know how you turn a profit in a place as tiny as this. Went here on a Sunday when they were only serving pretzels and pizza (why that is I dont know). We had stopped here before on Sat night and it was too crowded to get a table so we went accross the street to Martinis(which was very good) and when we got out 21/2 hrs later, the same people were still in the front table(!) Anywho, we ordered a steak and cheese pretzel and 2 pizzas. It was not crowded and it looked like most people had take home boxes but were staying to drink. Now, to me, if you are serving a limited menu and it is not crowded, the food should come right out. It took ONE HOUR for our order to come out and the pizza was lukewarm and I got the wrong pretzel. Our waitress (who seemed very spacey and distracted) told me it would be a few more minutes for the correct order and when I said I didnt want it and I would just eat pizza she asked me what kind of pizza I wanted!(wait-what?)When I explained that I would eat the pizza that was already on the table, she cheerily said "Ok-enjoy!" I would have at least felt better if she had asked if I wanted to take the incorrect order home anyway or something. Then she had the nerve to come over later and ask if everything was ok(no, its not). This place either doesnt know about or doesnt care about customer service-I guess being a cool hangout makes up for that. My advice is dont come here unless you A. Like slow service and waiting a long time for the wrong food or B. Know the bartender. We wont be going back

Just left Driftwood. Extensive beer selection and relatively diverse menu. The food is, in many ways, a creative take on comfort pub fare. The pretzel appetizer was down right fantastic, the hamburger was great as well and the onion rings were the right amount of batter and onion. The prices are completely reasonable and the portions are more than enough. While not an upscale steak house or fine Italian eatery as far as pubs go...this gets five stars in my book.

Beer selection is the best in the Plymouth area for sure, including the liquor stores. First course, Day Boat Tacos two tacos included two small block shaped fried pieces of fish in a small flour tortillas with three sauces. Overall, they were delicious. Still hungry, I got the Oyster Chowder. It looked like it came from a top quality restaurant and tasted even better. I will definitely be coming back often because it was so good. Overall, a 4.8 out of 5, in terms of pubs.

This was a great find - right on Main Street - Downtown Plymouth, MA. Stuffed Pretzels anyone - WOW - amazing idea and absolutely tasty too! They even have a vegie option. Loved it - cooked to perfection, bread light and ingredients tasty and well matched. The sauce on the side has a kick - so be sure to ask it not be added to the pretzel (if added) and put it on the side. The beer selection is one of the best. Seating is limited and awkwardly placed at times - and often you have to wait if you are coming at peak eating times. However worth it. On Sunday's you also get live entertainment from local artists for the lunch - early afternoon period. Don't expect it to be a normal restaurant - it's a pub (small bar with limited seating) - but authentic as you would expect. Staff equally authentic and down to earth. Food is overall very good - it may take a bit to get it if busy (on two visits the waitress mixed up the orders and had to wait a little linger to get the food) - but well worth it. The kitchen is small - but everything (from our view) was fixed to order and fresh. The place has very good options for Vegetarians - but may edge on the higher end ($15-$20) for some of the menu items. Experiment different menu items and share with your table guests - great way to experience the menu - but enjoy. Prices are reasonable for the food quality you are getting (some of the items a little overpriced) - but beer micro-brews and ales can be pricey if you have a few "pints". Staff is friendly.

Very disappointed. I asked for a medium burger and I got well done. I asked for mustard and the waitress said they didn't have any (even though the woman next to me heard that and showed me the mustard on her plate.) My lunch companion ordered sweet potato fries and got the ribbon fries. Almost impossible to converse because the music was so loud and everyone was trying to talk over it. Hot inside too. The folks sitting at the window tables kept asking to be reseated somewhere else because it was uncomfortable. No shades of any kind in the windows. I won't be back.

Meh. Beer was reasonably priced, and the ruben pretzel worked surprisingly well, but the rest of the food (particularly the "fries") was totally forgettable and the atmosphere was really bland -- in kind of a midwestern coffee shop way. I can't explain it. But I'll definitely be checking out some of the other places in Plymouth before I come back here again.

Came in on a Thursday night and tried to order Raw Oysters and Spinach Salad, server said they were OUT of both. We ordered the Philly Pretzel which was very dry and contained No Cheese, which, Phillys usually have cheese in them. Arugula salad was mediocre at best and not worth the price of such a small portion. We also had wings which were pretty normal, the meat and cheese board was okay as well, and we had their signature Fries, it wasn't great and nothing compared to pictures previously shown. I was visiting from out-of-state and was pretty disappointed considering there were really great reviews and hype from locals. My friends who did take me there were also disappointed.

Food is great. Nice bar. Good selection of beer. Accent on the usual ipa's. I'm here on Sunday and the musician has a good voice but it literally screaming. It's hurting my ears! A couple next to me just left before ordering. Couldn't take it. Why don't musicians realize they should provide background except in a live concert? Ok having the burger special and it looks awesome!!

Expensive bland food. My stuffed steak pretzel came stuffed with dry overcooked shaved steak. The only thing to come with it was a flavorless mystery sauce. $50 for 2 apps, a ginger ale, a beer and a pretzel. Jalapeño stuffed had no jalapeno, Sriracha wings tangy at best. Only compliment I have is that our service was good.

I have no idea how their food is or even drinks. My girlfriend and I walked in and stood there like two idiots. We tried getting the bartenders attention because we wanted to eat and have a table. It was impossible as their attention was given to the young hipsters at the bar, the waitresses walking around couldn't be bothered to help us or even acknowledge our existance. We literally stood in the middle of this place for more than three minutes. I will never be bothered to attempt going here again.

Had to update due to the latest nightmare addition to the menu...the "quinoa veggie burger" For ONLY $15!!! You can get a sloppy looking veggie burger made with $0.75 worth of ingredients. The "fries" it comes with are actually burnt potato chips, there is pretty much no reason to come here. You can get better beer selection at NOSH and NWT or even Speedwell. MUCH better food at NOSH. This place is dying, let it die.

Uggghhh!! What happened? Get your old chef back. I came for a fix to my craving of the Best Onion rings...they no longer offer them. What?!?! Their house french fries are thin, ribbon cuts. Weak. Low on substance & lame flavors. My son had a burger. He's had better @ TGIFs. They even had the gaul to have a "Kobe" beef hotdog, really??? NOT. There is NO Kobe beef in the U.S. and it's a pathetic labeling. Unless there's a dramatic turn over in the kitchen, we'll never return.

Went in yesterday and sat down at the bar. Saw this place on Phantom Gourmet and wanted to give it a shot. Bartender handed us drink menu and food menus. Half of the beers on the menu were crossed out in black marker indicating no longer available. Seriously guys this is not professional. The food menus were stained and appeared to have had items spilled on them or held under water. They were really disgusting to look at and actually touch. The fresh oysters were sitting in ice but so close to where patrons sit it was a little unnerving thinking people could touch, sneeze or cough on them. We ended up walking out without placing an order. The waitstaff followed us onto the sidewalk and said "have a nice day guys" Weird!!!

Phantom Gourmet gave us the heads-up this time about this place. We really enjoyed ourselves, the food was good and they had a guitar strumming singer in the afternoon which was nice. A small place with a handful of tables ranged about, it's truly a bar that serves food. The signature dish is jumbo stuffed pretzels made to order. We got the fan favorite, steak and cheese, and the grilled cheese special which came with ribbon fries and a cream of tomato soup. The yummy sandoozle had bacon, fontina, gruyere and I think a third cheese, but it escapes recall, on whole wheat bread. This was a fantastic special and I am really glad I got it. The stuffed pretzel was kinda disappointing in my opinion. The TV spot which brought us here shows a massive, glistening, gooey, oozy combination of meat, cheese and pretzel dough. While ours was quite large(we doggie bagged a part of it) there were no adjectives to describe it like we saw on TV and a bunch of Yelp review pictures. Dry, deflated dough, dry, over done shredded steak with barely any cheese and zero onions, I was really pumped to sample this but the experience was quite "deflating." It's possible the kitchen was having an off day as our area is in recovery mode from a pretty substantial blizzard that swung by and said hi last week. Theres three feet of snow everywhere and tunnel paths on all the side walks. Single file, single file. Overall we had a good time with good music and decent food. The beer menu is extensive which warrants another visit for that 11%Dogfish alone. I also want to give the very peppery sounding Drifter a chance too! Who doesn't love an oyster shooter, right?

Great atmosphere! If you are a beer lover you will love this place. Their beer selection is quite crafty and big. Food was also great; we had wings and a burger. Wings were a bit undercooked--but tasty. It seemed that they they make their sauce from scratch. Food was not salty like many places. We also had the sweet potatoe fries--delicious! Waitress was friendly. I definitely recommend this place. I will give it 4 stars.

A very well chosen beer selection on tap and in bottles. The best thing is that they have no AB Inbev products on the menu! This is my kind of place!

Our waitress was very friendly. Nice selection of beer. I enjoyed my Plymouth Golden Ale. A friend and I split a Philly stuffed pretzel and a turkey club with sweet potato fries. I thought it was all good. The pretzel is massive. The fries were more like wedges which worked well. Best turkey club I've has in a while.

I'm going to give a warning about the Driftwood Publick House - TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK! It's extremely hard to enjoy an evening out when the person serving you (who also happens to be the owner/general manager) is behaving like a child. We made the mistake of getting a seat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. He looked down his nose at my wife when she asked for a more mainstream beer (she is not a beer person), they ran out of the beer that I wanted just before I ordered and he was absolutely the rudest host when we asked to move to a table when a "girls night out" party moved in behind us and kept poking my wife. I'm sure that this might have been a better experience, but I don't think that I'm going to trek all of the way to Plymouth again to find out as there are too many restaurants close by that will give us better treatment for our money. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating and very, very disappointing.

Had a burger there. Really great. Got onion rings with it and dipped it in the creme fraiche sauce they have. Tasted Amazing

I recently had the opportunity to grab a beer and lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. This is a small pub, but the atmosphere is excellent. The bar, tables and booths are well laid out, and there is plenty of room to dine at the bar. The lighting is good (as in not too bright), the decor is interesting, displaying (what I assume is) the works of local artists and sculptors, and the daytime environment is inviting and comfortable. If you enjoy good food and drink, do yourself a favor and check this place out. The pretzel was simply outstanding. The chipotle sauce was the perfect compliment. There was also a chicken sandwich breaded with a coating made from crushed Doritos - genius! Sweet potato fries... you get the idea. They have a fantastic beer selection. I'm not a beer expert, but I enjoy a good IPA, especially when it's craft beer. NOTICE: If you're looking for domestic beer, you'll be disappointed. I don't believe they stock any - another reason why I liked this place. The service was prompt and attentive where we sat at the bar.... I could rave on and on. Did I mention the beer? Who wants to watch my kids so I can take the wife here on a Saturday night?
