A few weekends ago, on Pi day (3.14.15 ;-) my hubs and I were in Plymouth looking for a couple slices of celebratory pie. It was rainy and cold, and it was after 4 PM so we were having some trouble spotting a slice, because apparently people in New England don't observe the Pi. Anyways, we saw Anna-Marie's and thought we'd drop in. They didn't have any pie, but it smelled damn good in there, so we got a couple of lattes. Side note: I'm one of those horrific brats who loves Starbucks but alters her drink order to a crazy extreme because in reality, I probably like the ones I make at home a thousand times better than the super sugary concoctions at Starbucks. So, I ordered something close to my normal (large cup, soy latte, extra shot with a little vanilla) for the both of us... and it was unbelievably fantastic! Hubs and I couldn't stop talking about this coffee the entire way home. It's better than how I make it! I never would have guessed. It absolutely dulled the pain of missing our annual Pi celebration. BTW they had some beautiful looking desserts in their case, and the gelato looked great as well... but we held out for pie on Pi. If I lived or worked in Plymouth, I'd probably be in here daily! If you haven't stopped by since they opened last year, as it looks like some other Yelpers haven't, I'd stop in if I were you!

I hate writing a negative review. I was there yesterday having an mid-afternoon gelato (which was ok - nothing news worthy, but just ok). I was the only customer in the place sitting there eating when, to my surprise, the two girls working the counter started digging into the gelato case. I mean that literally too. They didn't think anyone was looking, grabbed a tasting spoon each and basically went to town eating through the case (with the same tasting spoon I might add). The whole thing was disgusting to watch. If I were the owner I would be outraged. I'm really sorry that I stopped in and had to witness this very bad employee behavior.

I've been here a couple of times now and have tried four of their deserts, including one of their delicious gelato flavors, a delicious berry tart, a divine apple tart, and a sinful almond pastry. Oh, and a nice shot of espresso. These deserts are really good. You can't get desserts like this in most places, they have really good European quality pastries, and their gelato is amazing. I'm so glad this place has opened!

The Gelato was perfect! I was hesitant to pay $4.50 for 2 scoops, but it was well worth it and honestly I dont think I could of eaten any more than 2 scoops. It is very rich and had a smooth texture. So delicious!!!! Way to go Anna- Maria's!!!

Just what Plymouth needs. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with big smiles. I was immediately asked if there was anything I would like to try. The Gelato was delicious. My mom's favorite was the Strawberry Greek Yogurt Flavor. I tried the Sorbeto... YUMMY. Just like being in Italy. I have since been back several times and have brought home a sampling of the Italian desserts for my family. Worth every penny!!!

We spent a whole day on a sunny Tuesday in Plymouth. After walking around in the sun for hours in eighty degree weather, we found ourselves having a few drinks with dinner. By that point, we were exhausted. Before our hour-long drive home we opted to find a coffee shop. Let me tell you to try it. Just try to find a coffee shop other than Dunkin Donuts that is open past five in Plymouth. Not happening. Lucky for us this little place was tucked away where you'd never guess. I found their facebook page had up-to-date hours. Open until 8! The owner was very friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the tiramisu is the lightest and fluffiest I've ever had. The prices aren't half bad either. A great find. Definitely worth a visit. My only note is to keep your eyes PEELED for parking. It's not easy to find.
