I've been here twice now recently, and it is definitely better than the earlier reviewers have said. Both times we had the dinner buffet. The food is good and there is a large selection, including many seafood specialties such as crab legs in a nice sauce, fish with an onion sauce, broiled whole crawfish, a cold shrimp sushi, unpeeled shrimp on ice, and mussels on half shell. Also a wide selection of the usual Cantonese and Szechuan dishes, such as sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, beef with broccoli, vegetable lo mein, pork fried rice, mou shou vegetables, egg foo young, a very nice braised string beans, hot and sour and egg drop soups, and much more. You get all you can eat for $12.99 at dinner and $7.99 at lunch time. Or, you can order a la carte dishes at prices ranging from about $7 to $13. A variety of beers are served for $3 to $3.50 per bottle. The decor is quite acceptable, probably upgraded since the last negative reviews. The tables and booths are separated by a long partition, topped with a pleasing plate glass etched with a shellfish motif. Our waitresses have been two pleasant teenage girls, children of the owners. They greet you the moment you walk in, and will bring you a free pot of steaming hot tea if you ask for it. The tea is good, and the teapots and cups are in a pleasant pastel Chinese pattern. The owners are immigrants from Fujian province, as are the owners of several other Cape restaurants. This is by far the best Chinese food I have found in the Mashpee/Falmouth area, and that includes the pricier Asian place in Mashpee Commons. It is not great food, but it is more than acceptable, and the best we've found on the Cape. (We lived in New York City for 30 years, and became food snobs, so it is hard to really please us.) The sushi is not much to write home about, but the cook is Chinese not Japanese. Very few cooks can do well in both styles. There are also a wide variety of desserts including fresh melon, orange slices, sugared peanuts which my wife likes, sweet cakes, and some things I could not recognize. One word of warning, which applies to all buffets, is to go at a time when there are at least 20 other diners. The first visit, we arrived with two friends at 6 p.m. on Saturday night. There were at least 6 or 8 other groups dining, and a good turnover. The food was restocked several times while we were there. But the second visit was at 2:45 p.m. on a Sunday when there were only 3 or 4 other groups dining. Freshness and hotness are everything with Chinese food, and the experience was not as good. The food was still tasty, but I worried about the aftermath, which fortunately did not happen. After 40 minutes in the open, bacteria begins to grow on open food, and it should be discarded. But few restaurants do this. One drawback here is that the steam table is not hot enough to keep the food really piping hot. Get there at a time when the place is crowded and you will be pleasantly surprised.

So the food here is average and they have a good selection. The price is only $7.95 so a good deal even considering the average food. The decor and facilities are absolutely DISGUSTING! The place hasn't been upgraded in years and it's gotten to the point where I just can't go there anymore. They have slip covers for the booth seating which is a nice touch but they cover ripped seats (you can feel the tape patch job underneath the cloth). The rugs are stained and taped where the holes are and the tables are sticky. Don't even think of looking up at the ceiling or underneath the tables. It is scary! If you are looking for buffet, try Peking Palace in Falmouth- right across from Betsey's diner.

I don't know how I ended up here. Must have been looking at reviews for a different Dynasty Buffet or something. The place is terrifying. You eat in dead silence atop booths with weird slip covers on them. Albeit they have a pretty decent selection of fare, that is cancelled out by the fact that some of it has food poisoning written all over them (cheese-stuffed clams, soggy little shrimps, sushi that looks like it has been sitting out all day and lost its color). And there are absolutely no vegetarian/vegan selections. I had to pick broccoli and other veggies out of beef & chicken dishes. Never. Again.

The food is still good! They have raised the dinner price from $12.99 to $15.99! Citing higher food costs and expenses, That is close to a 25% increase! Not worth it at $15.99 I can dine elsewhere for that kind of money! There were a lot of people complaining about the increase in price!! They will lose significant business due to this increase!

I've been here a million times. They renovated recently with fancy new lights and plates, and the sushi rolls have a new counter of their own. This is easily the best Chinese buffet around, maybe the best in the state. I dont say that lightly, I love food and I've tried lots of buffets, most are horrible! I come here because I know the food is always hot, tasty, and clean. The staff is quiet and polite, the tea is strong, and if you're really gorging there's an ice cream sundae machine at the end of it all. The good: crab rangoons. Just sweet enough, and full of cream, more cream than dough, as they should be. Japanese chicken and onions. Spicy! Moo shi vegetables with hot tortillas and sweet sauce, so tasty. Seafood! Today was shrimp and big chunks of lobster meat in a lobster/beef sauce, and on Sundays they have huge crab legs, pineapple shrimp, salmon, worth every penny. California rolls are a good starter, not too dry but not crazy fancy either. Hot and sour soup, spicy and thick, very filling. Sugar coated peanuts... OMG....a moment on the lips, forever on the hips... But they're so damn GOOD! Not great: the Peking ravioli are hit and miss, sometimes there's just too much dough. The sesame balls with red paste are also a skip for me, but someone must like them because they never change. Wonton soup, never got the appeal of this. At the end of the day you could pay about five other Chinese joints a good fifteen bucks for a single plate of the same quality as you will find here. Its very relaxing, quiet, and a bargain, esp if you come before three when it's about eight bucks, and beer is always only three bucks!

I went there with my family today for lunch. We enjoy the friendly service. They are always clearing the table asking if we need anything bringing out freshly cooked to the buffet. They did raise the price of the dinners for adults but I do understand they posted a sign out front why. The rent was raised and needed to accommodate for it. My opinion is that it's worth it. It's clean fresh food. They learn more and more English every time we go there. I'm impressed

We have been coming here for years. We have noticed that the food variety and quality are very much improved, we really enjoy it. The service is efficient, but lacks any warmth or friendliness. The best Chinese buffet in a 50 mile range, and we find the food delicious and appetizing. Like any buffet, you can't expect everything to be piping hot or to your specific taste, but definately worth the money. I recommend giving it a try.

*Edited to add......we went again in 2014 and it had improved greatly. Sushi was better, and bathrooms cleaner. Prices - still good. Food - still good. Staff - still reserved. Attentive when you make eye contact, but if you like to be Left Alone? You will like this place. Dessert still is pathetic. Tried the seafood and it's excellent. *end of edit* Bathrooms still need help. LOTS of help. If you've lived in an old house or overseas tis won't bother you at all. There is soap and running water and the toilet flushes - whatever. Prices are very reasonable. Soups are good, and the turnover is ok. Not great, but I've seen way worse. Tea is good! It's hot! It's not watery. It's like tea is supposed to be. Don't go here for the dessert of the sushi. Go here for really good steamed dumplings, good soup, excellent meatballs and other skewered meats, and a couple of outstanding entrees. General Tso's is good, and the chicken and vegetables is excellent. I don't eat seafood, but it looked very fresh. 2 years ago the seating was horrible. They fixed it and it's better. The staff is responsive if you make eye contact and ask them for something, and they are quick and friendly to bring you whatever you ask for. Otherwise, they leave you alone. It's a cultural thing - they keep to themselves. For all I know they are all from some tiny province and don't trust foreigners - who knows. The prices are reasonable, and my two kids left stuffed and I was quite happy too. Service is quick, prices are good, and you can get your kids eating within 3 minutes with stuff they like. What's not to like?

It's over 5 years since I had been here. The food is worse with less selection. The plates and decor have improved. The price is about the same. Dinner and tea were $13.50 before tip. Staff seemed bored but were perfectly polite and did their jobs. Everything is super-salty and oily, as expected. I found a few crisp veggies -- broccoli and green beans -- but do not eat here if you're a vegetarian. Some things were calcified from sitting under the lights for too long. I was afraid I'd break a tooth on the corners of the steamed dumplings. Egg rolls were 75% bread. Most disappointing of all were the sesame-coated round things that are supposed to have slightly-sweet red bean paste inside. They were all dough, no red bean, no flavor. If you value your health you probably know that you shouldn't be eating at places like this, but it could be fun now and then. I used to think so, but now I'm less accustomed to salty greasy food. My stomach is grumbling now. I hope I don't regret this...

The only reason I go here is because its on the way to work and if I am hungry I can get a decent amount of food from the buffet for a reasonable price. I believe their dinner to-go plates are $5.99/lb or something close to that. The food does not appear to be rotated based on how long its been sitting there and only replaced when their little product left. I would not say this is great quality food but a typical buffet. The staff just appears miserable everytime I been there, they rarely smile and of course they always say thank you when I hand them money. This place has the potential to be better but not until they replace their front end staff.

The last time I ate at this restaurant I was very disappointed in the food as well as the service. This most recent trip gave me a little hope, but this restaurant has a bit to go. The staff here is no longer rude and is actually very polite. The buffet is better stocked and I enjoyed the fact that they have a whole buffet line for sushi. The quality of the sushi is still lacking, but a vast improvement from before. The cost has gone up but I will pay that for the amount of crab legs and shrimp I ate. The only other critique is that the bathroom needs TLC which includes cleaning the fruit flies out of the soap dispenser. That being said, I never had reservations about the cleanliness of this restaurant. Let's just hope that the restaurant continues to move in a positive direction. P.S. if anyone finds a pair of Oakley's here, I lost my pair.

Full disclosure: asian cuisine is not my favorite. But with that being said, when I actually get a craving it's real. I'm a vegetarian, which I always know limits my options. But give me a good helping of lo mein & some sticky rice & I'm a happy girl. This... did not make me happy. The food tasted old. It's almost as though it doesn't get rotated until it runs completely out. I came in around dinner time & it tasted like lunch time food. The food is labeled, & I found it weird the scallion pancakes were flour tortillas. I was actually kind of looking forward to trying one of the little cake slices that were in the dessert trays. Unfortunately, it too tasted old & dry. For the sake of offering a balanced view point, I came here with two meat eaters who enjoyed the coconut shrimp. Like others, I heard a lot of shouting from the staff. But they were still pleasant enough. I left feeling hungry & immediately ate when I got home.

The food here is HORRIBLE starting with the drinks the soda tasted more like flavored water. Then the food words cannot explain how bad it was the food was cold, The chicken was hard it wasnt chewable and it was disgusting also the fish wasnt the greatest nothing was fresh. The service there was HORRIBLE the booths there are uncomfortable. I RECOMMEND you people to not go there its a waste of time and its really expensive for bad food. BTW: The food got me and my friends sick for 2 days.

Dropped by the Cape for a pre-season vacation, spotted this buffet restaurant on my way in. Got a take-out box of lunch for $4.99/lb: picked some of my favorites: sweet 'n sour pork, string beans, fried seafood (shrimps, sqid, scollops, fish), chinese rice noodle, four pieces of sushi and one piece of chicken wing - $4.62 for a very fulfilled lunch box. Lighting for eat-ins might need some TLC, but looking at the price and quality of food, this is a fairly nice chinese buffet place to go.

Went there today for lunch buffet first time customer. Nice appearance inside. Decent selection in the buffet. Sadly all the food yes all the food was very cold. Like it was put out hours ago and never refreshed or the warmers on the buffets were my turned on. Temperature in restaurant was also extremely cold and uncomfortable. The patrons behind us complained about the bad food and the waitress apologized and said the heat was broken due to the storm. I don't think she understood. At one point other patrons asked if their food could be microwaved it was that cold. Just an honest review. Wish it was better.
