Food was good and came out quick, and portions were good. Boudin (3 stars), fried shrimp (5 stars), Mac and cheese (3 stars), turnips (3 stars), hush puppies (3 stars). Nothing to write home about though because my mom's worst attempt is better. A little pricey for country food, so I guess I was paying for the name. I give it 4 stars because of the service. Shaina was awesome!

We joked about stopping here as both my mother and I are not exactly Duck Dynasty fans. But it was surprisingly good! First of all, the staff were all so friendly and cheerful. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and polite, it was very refreshing. The restaurant was clean and well decorated with a small gift shop up by the register. The menu had a lot of selection on it. I decided to get the swamp basket with a side of Mac and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese was some of the best I've had. My mother has a gluten allergy and still had a decent amount of choices, but ultimately decided on the Shrimp Caesar Salad with no croutons/bread. The portion sizes were huge! I've never seen any restaurant put so many shrimp in a salad before. Not only that, they actually got the orders correct and even better, everything was delicious and came to the table quickly. Don't let the "gimmicky" feeling of this restaurant stop you from coming here. If you're looking for some delicious food, be sure to stop in.

Decided to pop into Willies Duck Diner to get something before heading out of town. My husband had not been there so he decided to order the Hawaiian Burger with Jerk sauce and grilled pineapple. I always get the fried crawfish tails on the appetizer menu and the fried pickles. Both the crawfish tails and fried pickles were fine, as for the Hawaiian Burger that is a different story...when it came it only had mayo on one side of a bun that had not been buttered and grilled and NO jerk sauce and the pineapple was straight out of a can and cold and had never touched a grill so we sent it back and for the jerk sauce they brought out a condiment cup of some sweet syrup with 1 crushed red pepper flake floating in it, now for anyone that knows the same jerk sauce I do that is not it. Now the burger patty itself was a very nice thick patty and no complaints there but they definitely need to take that burger off that menu if they have no better idea of what it should be than that. On the dessert menu I had in the past gotten the pecan pie and it is very good but I like to try different things so they had a new item, can't remember the exact name of it but it was a donut bread pudding with a caramel/coffee sauce , well by the time we got through with all the food and dealing with that we just got it to go so when we got home and got around to trying it, when I opened the box it was just a square of bread pudding there, no sauce to speak of and if they did put it on there and the bread and soaked it up, to taste it you could taste the donut but there was absolutely no caramel or coffee taste at all so very disappointing. they sat us in the back with a large table of boys baseball team so I gave it a very loud rating The waitress was wonderful, very friendly and checked on us often

The place has a neat theme due to the popularity of the show and I'm a big fan of the Robertson's. The food is average at best in my opinion but whenever I drive through west Monroe I will most likely stop and try something else on the menu and hope it's better than the last item I had.
(3)Rick P.
Ignore all the hype...the food is great! I had the chicken fried steak and it was awesome. I wonder though - who was the first guy that said hey let's batter up a steak and deep fry that sucker. Anyway that was a good chicken fried steak and white gravy !
(5)Ben W.
Stopped in on our way through from California back to Alabama.... The sweet tea taste like home! The Bologna Sammich was perfect and fried okra just right! Nana pudd'n for desert... Might need a nap before I drive! Thanks for a great experience and good food! Roll Tide!
(5)Tracy Y.
Food was 50/50. Shrimp & grits was good except could do without the tomatoes. Open face roast beef had way too much gravy. Cornbread and rolls great. Service was great considering the kitchen crashed. Shop area is cute. Kinda hard to find as it sits off the road out of sight.
(3)George C.
Food was good but I was disappointed. Instead of using fresh food, they opted for can and box foods. Green beans was from a can. Mashed potatoes was. Instant. All the seafood is fried. Not what I expected.
(3)Joe L.
Lots of fun for any duck dynasty fan. We enjoyed the food and the service was great but Ive had better for lower prices.
(4)Rodney B.
My wife, daughter, and I are visiting from California... The service was excellent and the food was great!! The price is moderate to high, but well worth the experience!!! I recommend the Phil's swamp catch, catfish miletello, and sweet tea!!! Ginny, Lacey, and Shaina were awesome servers!!! Wish we could come back more often!!

Passing through Monroe, we had to visit some of the Duck Dynasty places. This diner was one of them. There were four of us and we sampled a few things on the menu from gumbo to chicken to roast beef. From all four comments on the food I would have to say that the chicken and navy beans were favorites. The gumbo was just okay and the roast beef was just okay too. The potatoes and gravy were delicious. The food was pretty salty. However, there probably is more about visiting this place than the actual food. Isn't that right? Service wasn't very good. Unlike others we had no line to wait in. It was half-way between lunch and dinner so we were seated right away. Our server, Kristin, was prompt in taking our order but not so prompt in seeing that our food came out right or that we didn't have to wait forever for to-go containers and our bill. We had a little trouble getting her back to our table. My salad was even served after my meal. The portions are huge though. Three of us had enough food to take home for another meal. Now we can say -- been there, done that. Would we go back now that we've been? No.
(3)Charles L.
Huge portions! Delicious! Miss Kay's meatloaf was incredible. Everything we tried was great! Great breads in a basket!
(5)Dane S.
I just had to write a review because of all the negative comments. I got a shrimp po boy. I had enough shrimp on it to make 5 po boys. Honestly, it tasted very good. The serving size was wayyyyyy too big for me but that's why the prices are so reasonable and fair in there!! We also got an order of cheese fries (enough for 8 people) which were very good too. I had no problems with service at all. We went in at 12 noon and back in the car at 12:45. I would definitely return here. Very friendly atmosphere as well.

I am a huge duck dynasty fan! Long story short, I am currently on a impromptu road trip in Louisiana/Texas and made an 8 hour round trip in a day to check out what Monroe is all about. We arrived on Saturday at 2:30 and were told there was a 25-30 minute wait. Of course we waited despite being starved and worn out from a 4 hour drive. We checked out the shop in front during the wait. They had a lot of great souvenirs and priced them very reasonably. After our wait the four of us were seated. After ten minutes at the table, we were greeted by our flustered waitress informing us ticket times were longer than usual but that bread and salads were readily available to hold us over. Ten minutes after that talk we finally got our drinks brought back to us. She said she would be back to take our order. Another ten minutes later she is back to take our food order. This is 30 minutes elapsed and we still didn't get bread or order our food (even though we had decided what to order during our wait). Finally we get our bread basket and salads 40 minutes after being seated. That is the last time that our waitress actually comes to our table! She was absolutely horrible and didn't refill our drinks, check on how food was, and was always standing behind the counter. Finally after the bus boy attended to most of our needs I went to speak to her... Only to find her texting under the counter. The bus boy was the one to tell me they were out of the jambalaya I ordered not my waitress. Service was a 0. She didn't seem to really care at all about us or her job. The food was a 3. Honestly most of it was disappointing especially with Miss Kay's name attached to it. Here is a break down: Bread basket- 4. The hush puppies and corn bread were average. The yeast rolls were fantastic amazing addicting!! Cajun pasta- 4. It was pretty good! Mac and Cheese- 2 really boring and disappointing. Nothing compared to my Grandmas or the countless amazing Mac and cheeses I have been served in the South. Red beans and rice- 1. Better off with Popeyes. Green beans- 1. They were cold. Seafood platter- 3. The frog legs were amazing. Super meaty and juicy. Shrimp was good size as were oysters. The breading was unfortunately bland even after loading it with salt. Not worth the price tag. Kids chicken tenders- 3. Once again lacking salt and bland breading. As much as it pains me to say because I do love the duck dynasty crew, I do not recommend eating here. It's worth a trip to look at it and say you have been there. That's about it.
(2)Jason J.
A little pricey but at least the food was outstanding. We were just passing through and did the obligatory DC stop for photo by the sign. We figured why not eat here as well. I would have expected it to be a little more " themed" than it was, but was also relieved that it wasnt overly in your face themed either.. Its definitely geared more towards the tourist crowd than the locals ( whom i am sure are tired of the DC tourism unless they have a local biz it helps). Overall not a bad place. Ive had better, but i have had way worse for the money. And just like what i tell all my fellow duck hunters who hate on DC/DD, i dont have to worry about what my kids will see when watching the show, and im not afraid of walking in to this place and kids seeing hooters girls in camo either. That will get my money everytime, regardless of how overpriced it is.

We brought our 3 boys to eat here for an evening meal. They were so excited to go to the "Duck Dynasty" restaurant. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. We were very pleased that it only took about 20 minutes of waiting after being told it would be about 45 minutes. However, that's where the pleasantry stopped. We had to wait for several minutes for our waiter to come. We ordered the swamp basket for an appetizer. The taste was okay but it was room temperature!! We ordered pretty basic meals...kids chicken tenders, hamburger (dressed entirely different than requested), cajun sampler and cajun pasta. Everything except the chicken tenders was warm but not hot. The food was mediocre and could be found at much cheaper prices. I complained to the manager. Hopefully it will help.
(1)Steve R.
Short wait seated reasonable amount of time. Food was good, nothing stood out except for the shrimp gumbo. Service was great. Portions were decent sized. Priced good on the food just a lil pricey on some.
(4)Jason H.
The restaurant prices were a bit steep for the food we received. While the food was edible, there was nothing memorable about it. I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was dry. The service we received was excellent and made up for the marginal product. I would go back and eat here again, but I would not stand in line to get in.
(4)Laura R.
The restaurant is a novalty, thank goodness they have a following for their television show because the food is average. I had the shrimp po'boy, the shrimp was small, tasted like iodine and dry.
(3)Brooklyn R.
I think this place is amazing! I think you should go here! If you are thinking of going here don't think twice...go! I think it is awesome and cool that the real Willie owns that! The waiter that we had was amazing and so sweet!
(5)Miranda H.
We tried this out today, despite being advised against it. To start the hostess asked how many, we told her and then she proceeded to ask if we were all together, well yea we just told you. Being a family that prides itself on revolving around family and food I would have expected much more from the Robertsons. The bread basket is a nice touch, but it all tasted like frozen biscuits and hush puppies. After the arrival of the entrees our impression of the place didn't get better. I ordered blackened chicken with jambalaya and red beans and rice. My order came out wrong and I had Mac and cheese instead of jambalaya. The red beans and rice were the only good thing on my plate. The chicken was cooked to the texture of jerky. Blackened does not mean cooked until all tenderness comes out. I would have sent it back had our waiter ever checked on us. My husband got the sampler, again the red beans and rice was the only good part. The kids got chicken fried steak. This too was unimpressive. The breaking was peeling off. Long story short.... We will NOT be back.

Alright...as a Yankee with a decent Louisiana Cajun knowledge (lots of experience, Bubba!), I expected Willie's to deliver. Wouldn't it be horrible if your favorite television star opened a bad restaurant? I was not disappointed. I ordered the gator bites, boudin, and red beans and rice: a lot of food. I tried the red beans and rice first since I had a feeling the gator bites and boudin might have a little kick. While I liked the red beans and rice very much, it was a tad bland for my taste. The red beans and rice was immediately cured by the Cajun hot sauce (made in Louisiana!) provided on the table. I definitely recommend both the gator bites and the Boudin. The best thing all night was a crawfish tail inadvertently shucked into my gator bites basket and that was super delicious. It made me want to order those after I was full. Next time. Total price for the generous amount of food was ~$25. I knowingly ordered waaaaay to much and had to take it home (yum). Only two regrets: 1) I never knew the name of my server but she was very nice and did an excellent job, especially with the never ending biscuits and hush puppies; 2) This is where my Yankee comes in...I don't like tea so I ordered the lemonade. It was a bottle of Minute Maid lemonade. Eeesh I'm going for a much-needed walk...
(4)Donna B.
We were quite impressed with the food. Good food at a good price! Wait staff were very personable and friendly.
(5)Karen S.
The food is good and the staff was friendly. Our waitress was very patient with the little boy that was obviously the biggest fan ever and had 100 questions forher. Every time she got near their table he popped out of his seat with another queśtion. It's a causal place . The biscuits were light and flakey....um um! Just a little better than I make. I had the red beans and rice, good size potion and very tasty. They have a gift shop and a few places to take pics, so bring the camera. To answer THE question the family comes out when they are their. They come in off and on, but not on a schedule. Go check it out, touristy and fun. Definelty worth the stop.
(4)Donna W.
Had the shrimp po boy and red beans and rice. The food tasted great. The wait for the food was a little long but worth the wait.
(4)Toni B.
They are now under new management and I must say they has improved the dining experience as well as the menu items. A must try when visiting West Monroe!
(4)Matt K.
This restaurant went through an update earlier this year with new owners, new menu, and an overhaul of the staff. For a theme restaurant the food quality was excellent and the prices were reasonable. The service was excellent. We were well attended to and the food tasted fantastic. I had the fried shrimp and froglegs preceded by the sample basket. The sample basket had duck alligator bits crawfish and shrimp. My frog legs and shrimp came with with etoufee and jambalaya. Everything was well prepared served hot and had good presentation. They have plans to expand including more seating space and even outdoor seating space for the summer months will be a welcome addition.

Went here today on our overnight journey of the Duck Dynasty road trip. :) We had lunch. Today may have been an exception, but I found the wait for our food of 30+ minutes to be a bit long. Granted, the restaurant was packed. There was also a patron who left his dog in his suburban and the police were there (what a loser jerk). Once they found the dog's owner, the police gave him a warning, said the diner employee. 1 had crawfish meat pies - they were good, except i don't like crawfish unless it's a crawfish boil (just my thing). 2 people shared a burger and fries - they said it was really good. I had a burger and fries. PROS: - it is a fun atmosphere - they show Duck Dynasty episodes (with no commercials, hurray!) - the prices are reasonable CONS: - The unsweetened ice tea tasted like the smell of farm. if that makes sense. I did not like it, so i returned it. I do not return food or drink - really,... ever, unless it is BAD. I think it is the water that got its bad taste with the tea. I definitely think the wait was a bummer; just as a server came to us after waiting 30+ minutes, I was about to ask her to cancel our order because we were tired of waiting. She apologized, but it seemed a bit chaotic. Again, perhaps today was just a crazy busy day. I would definitely return. Next time i would try something different. Yum.
(3)Michael H.
Good food and I get to support Willie and the gang. I fully understand this is a tourist trap but here are a surprising number of locals in every time I stop. I get a decent meal and get to watch Duck Dynasty while I eat.
(4)Sarah B.
So I'm mixed on number of stars for this place. I came in around 3 pm on a Saturday and was told if was a 30 min wait for 2 people, with tons of empty tables on the place. So we decided to get a to go order since we were already there. 30 or 45 min later (I think.. I stopped looking) our food came for to-go. The food was fantastic. I got the Boss-Hogg bologna sandwich and my friend got the shrimp Po-boy. The food deserves 5 stars but the service is a 2. If you come here, don't try to be in any sort of hurry.
(3)Mitchell A.
We had good food and great service. Only thing that was not nice was the price of the food. For items that can be found on almost any Southern buffet line, you are hard-pressed to find a 'homestyle' meal below $13. Not a place to go to often, but, if you're a fan of the show, then you should give it a try.
(4)Nicholas J.
I mean no disrespect to the Robertson Family. They have so much for our area and put it on the map. It's just the Diner is not their biggest hit in the world. If you're a fan, you'll like it. It's Duck Dynasty from atmosphere down to the TVs on the walls playing episode after episode. The service is decent. No complaints, anyways. As for the food, I had one of the poboys and all I can say was it was OK. It's good but nothing special. This is definitely more of a tourist destination than exceptional restaurant, but if it brings delight to DD fans and more commerce to the area, far be it for me to judge. If you're a huge DD fan, stop in. I am certain you will enjoy it. :)
(3)Jason L.
Disappointing. Although I love the Capitalistic bent of this family, if you are going to do something, do it the best you can. They do that with their duck calls, but the restaurant concept is lacking. The staff needs lessons on professionalism. Even a redneck restaurant should have their staff members look and act professional in their appearance and mannerisms. We visited for the first time during lunch today and were very disappointed. We were seated immediately, as there were only four of us (the poor group of nine that were in front of us had to wait an hour!). After seating it took 15 minutes to get our drinks (tea and water). We should have taken that as a sign of things to come. After 20 minutes we submitted our order: etoufee, frog legs, and pasta. After 30 minutes the head "cook"/kitchen manager came out and yelled at the entire restaurant clientele to tell them that he was three people short in the kitchen and they were working to get the food out as soon as they could. Seriously? That's the way you handle your issues? By yelling at your guests??!! Our food finally arrived after 50 minutes. It was decent, at best, and definitely not worth the money charged. I hope that this was an off day, but we won't be back to try it out. The worst part is that when we were asked by a group, after lunch, at the Duck Commander store about the restaurant, I had to tell them it wasn't worth the wait. My advice....have a restauranteur run it for you in order to get it in shape and not lose customers. It's a workable concept, but needs attention. If not, then stick to what you do best...hunt, fish, make duck calls, and do your appearances. Best wishes with the restaurant.
(3)Livi O.
If I could give this place zero stars I would... They have about 3 servers and about 100 people. The service and is so slow! We have been here for a hour and we have one piece of cornbread for there so called " unlimited bread basket" . We have been waiting for a refill on drinks too... We are both out and have asked multiple times... Don't recommend unless you have a couple hours to waste on mediocre food
(1)Summer H.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Had to stop here on our way back to Cali from Alabama. Best decision ever!!! It's hard to find good blackened chicken breast on the west coast. Best I've ever tasted!!! Mashed Taters and hush puppies were excellent too! Oh and so was the Cajun dressing with my salad! Wish they had this restaurant in Cali. My husband had the fried gator Poboy with fried Okra. He was in heaven!! Everyone was so nice too!!!
(5)Chris C.
We had to stop by and see the place coming home to Dallas from Florida. Very nice staff. Ordered the sampler basket and the duck was really good (my first time). The gator and shrimp was as good as any other I've had. I ordered the sampler dinner (red beans and rice, gumbo and jumbalia). honestly, I did not care for any of it. Everyone else got sandwhiches and they were GREAT! Go with a sandwhich.. Also my wife said they had a GREAT cup of coffee.. Happy wife, Happy happy happy life. I would go again. Oh, and wish they had breakfast options..
(4)Jason H.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere, very good service and food. I recommend the alligator basket, very good
(4)Jerod B.
If you are a Duck Dynasty fan, you should have dinner here. If you are looking for good, but not great food, you should skip it. I came for dinner on a Monday night and was sat immediately, greeted by the wait staff within 2 minutes and got my drink (super sweet tea) about a minute later. The menu has a nice variety which I found surprising. I ordered the roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy and Ms Kay's Mac and cheese. The food was delivered less than 5 minutes after I ordered (timed it) and before the bread basket. This concerned me a bit. My first impression was the large portion. This too concerned me a bit. The first item I tried was the Mac and cheese. I was very disappointed because I've had better out of a box. The texture was off putting. The second bite caused me to push it aside. The next item I tried was the mashed potatoes. I could tell they would be good if they were fresh, but they weren't. They were not even hot. The gravy was very good and I am picky about gravy. The roast beef was tough, dry and bland. It was obviously not fresh and again not hot. The gravy helped but it was unfortunate I still had reach for the ketchup bottle to help. I decided I'd go for some "famous" banana pudding... 3 bites of it and I was aggravated... It sucks. Overall... I gave it 3 stars because I've learned I shouldn't expect so much from tourist traps so it met expectations (I guess) but I will NOT recommend any to eat here. Oh yeah... The environment was boring and disappointing. I expected more in that category from a tourist trap.
(3)Rob T.
The food was great. My wife finally tried a frog leg and she loved it. Great family friendly setup. Cool folks all the way around!! The prices are not bad. The only reason y I did not give this place a 5 stars is because I order the pork chops smother in onion gravy and it looked like they just threw it on the plate. The flavor was just right!! ORDER THE BANANA BREAD PUDDING!! That was amazing!!! The best one yet!!!
(4)F. L.
Passing through town, decided on this place to try something different. No wait at noon on a Saturday. Waitress said the kitchen was having issues but went ahead and took our order. My food (meatloaf) came out cold, also order the ham n cheese, roast beef poboy, and banana pudding the only thing that was good was the free rolls. The waitress asked if I liked my food and I said no (it was all still on the plate) she said sorry and we still paid for it. Would not eat again, would not recommend.

It's official....One of the very BEST restaurants I've been to in a long time! GREAT food and friendly fast service. I ordered "The Godwin" (Ham Sammich) and it was absolutely delicious! While dinning you are treated to Duck Dynasty episodes playing on the TV's. Miss Kays Macaroni & Cheese was the BEST!!! Big restaurant with excellent fun, food, and fellowship. We prayed before our meal and it was wonderful. Please stop in and enjoy this great place! We even met "Johnny D" (Willies Assistant) and he even took a picture with me. Thumbs way up - I was Happy, Happy, Happy!!!
(5)Michael K.
Ridiculously over priced for Fridays quality food. Not much ambience considering the theming. Pictures of the duck dynasty people all over the walls but just plain feeling. Feels unfinished. No music, only the tv show playing in the background. Literally the worst atmosphere for a themed restaurant that I have been too. For such an eclectic family you would think that they would make the atmosphere to match. I didn't realize I was supposed to get hush puppies until reading the yelp reviews. Started with the duck gumbo which was alright then for my meal I had blackened catfish with greens and Ms. Kay's mac and cheese. The catfish wasn't the greatest and the greens were greens. The mac and cheese was fantastic, though. I then finished it up with Ms. Kay's banana pudding which was also fantastic. I suspect anything labeled Ms. Kay's is her original recipe which is evident over the lackluster taste of the other items that I ate.
(3)Josh M.
Good food, great service. Hard to find restaurants with servers that are genuine, but this one has it. Solid, good 'ol comfort food!
(4)Breanna D.
I loved my experience at the duck dinner. First of all I didn't really wait but about 2-3 minutes to get a table with a girlfriend of mine so that was amazing. I was pretty hungry so when the waitress told me they bring fresh bread to the table I was all about it! The bread was warm and fresh with an array of cornbread, biscuits and I think they also had hush puppies but I'm not sure. I was unsure on what to order so when she told me the special was chicken fried steak that's what I chose. I have NEVER had chicken fried steak that was this good. It was actually tinder steak with a crispy outer coating topped with white gray! I chose mashpotatos and coleslaw as my sides and they were really great too! Another good thing was how much food I got, I got so much food I had to get a to-go box and ate some later! Lol I highly recommend it to everyone
(5)Tiffany C.
We arrived on a Friday night and they were packed with lots of MSSA conference attendees and a huge group party. We were told 30 minute wait...more like 15. Waiter was cheerful and upbeat went beyond expectation in assuring we were happy with our choices. My husband originally chose meatloaf but after first bite he knew it was going to be to spicy for his stomach even though he stated it was delicious. Waiter offered a different choice. He had roast beef I had meatloaf and jumbalaya as a side. Big portions..average prices. I gave 5 star cause they could not have done anything better in our case.
(5)Alyssa F.
A super fun place, especially for someone travelling through town, like myself. I really enjoyed how much they played into the Duck Dynasty stuff we see on the show, without sacrificing quality of food. Everything was delicious and we had a really hard time deciding what to get! The only thing I would've added would be a nice cold brew to go with my meal, but I'm guessing that maybe they're not going for that, which is fine.
(4)Stacia B.
Server was very attentive and friendly. More importantly, food was great. We had the shrimp po boy and my kids had the fried catfish and fried shrimp off the kids menu. Worth the stop. You may even get a peak at Willie and Jase.
(5)Michael M.
Long story short, my 4th state in 4 days and I finally got a good meal. If you're going to be in West Monroe for any amount of time, you almost have to pay some sort of homage to these Duck Dynasty guys. When in Rome and all that... So after a quick trip to buy a camo hat, we found ourselves at Willie's. We walked in the door, and immediately got greeted by the hostess. A couple of pleasantries later and we were seated in a comfortable booth and being introduced to our server, Lacey. Interacting with her was reason enough to come back even if the food had sucked (which it didn't). A great smile, cute accent, enough familiarity with the menu to answer questions, and on her game when it came to refilling my glass of sweet tea. Win! And then it got better... After placing our order we got a complimentary bread basket containing biscuits, cornbread, and some damn good hush-puppies! An appetizer of Natchitoches meat pies was spicy and delicious. Little football shaped fried pies that blow away the Jamaican meat pies I know from home and came with 2 dipping sauces they didn't even need. My son's chicken tenders were unrecognizable to the boy who loves McDonald's. He asked what it was and I had to explain that this is what real chicken looks like... OMG good huge chunks of real chicken breast, lightly battered and fried till crispy, but still moist and juicy. I may have helped myself to one... My lunch was called a Swamp Basket. Duck strips, gator chunks, shrimp, and crawdad. Yum! The duck was tender and not gamy. The gator chunks were perfectly done and not too chewy. Shrimp were great, though a little on the small side, not much bigger than the crawdads that get the only negative comment of the meal. I like crawdad, but these had a little overt musky fishiness, though to be fair these were my first true Louisiana crawdads so maybe that's how they eat then here...? We were leaving just as a couple of huge groups of teenagers came in but while we were there the noise level was not excessive, the restrooms were clean and stocked. All in all this was the best experience I've had on this trip and I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Hadn't had Boudin in years! Had meatloaf sammich with red beans and rice. Down home cookin, very happy.

I was so excited that we would be able to stop at duck diner for dinner on our way through . It was pouring rain but stopped anyway !! We got seated right away but took forever to get out drinks , we ordered meals as soon as they brought our drinks and 45 min later we still did not have our orders. When we finally got our food it was cold! Not Luke warm but cold. Which tells us it had been sitting back there for sometime before we got it. We would have told someone but no one ever checked on us . We finally ordered dessert against my better judgment but asked for check at same time. It took another 20 min to get the check . We will not be back and will not recommend it to anyone ! Very disappointing ! Cindy and Dave from Fort Worth Texas

Out fricken standing. Hesitant at first to stop Bc of all the negative reviews. But decided to anyways. Everything was amazing. Huge meal decent price. It was some of the best food my wife and I have had in awhile. Only thing I was kinda disappointed about was that they don't offer a military discount. But besides that my wife and I will be back every time we pass thru on our way to Texas or back home to Georgia.

We stopped by at lunch on a Saturday. It was packed but the wait wasn't bad. This place has tons of unique options that set it apart from any chain. They have gator, crawfish tails, boudin, homemade mac n cheese, and an array of different samwiches that you won't really find many places. The Gator bites were awesome and my roast beef club was pretty good - I was super impressed with the lemonade as well! Service was spotty, but they are understaffed so you can't really fault them for it. Great meal.

Food is delicious...service is TERRIBLE. I was here for business and decided to eat here three nights in a row (yes, the meatloaf is that good). All nights though it took a while to get served (even a drink order taken) and service was just bad overall (drinks not refilled, couldn't get the condiments that should have been on the table but weren't. Everyone was very friendly and just one of those things I guess. Prices were very reasonable. I'm surprised they weren't more crowded...the food really is what kept me coming back 3 nights in a row.

After going to Duck Commander, we decided to swing by and try it out. I was very impressed. I got the Jambalaya, my wife got the pulled pork with Mac and cheese. We also split an order of fried pickles. The Jambalaya was a huge serving, and the pulled pork I tried was awesome. If your in the area, give it a try. They have several things to try! You may even see the Robertson's, I was told they stop in from time to time. Wish I could have seen them!!! I would go back if in the area!!!!

For the area this is a very good little diner. I am quite tired of all the simple, mediocre food in the area so a little home cooking is nice. This review is a bit skewed due to this aforementioned lack of quality dining in the twin cities. Atmosphere 4*- A nice, clean area that is worth looking at even if your not a Duck fan "which I am not". Service 5*- We were seated fast and the hostess was very nice. She could use an upgrade in her attire though. Not that she was sloppy but i didnt know she was part of the restaurant until she walked behind the stand and grabbed some menus. Waitress was super friendly and accommodating. Fast to refill drinks and make us feel welcome. What I am guessing was the manager also came by and was super friendly and shared some good convo. Appetizer sampler- 4*- All fried and all good. Not run of the mill fried shrimp but actually had some good spices in the breading. The fried duck on appetizer sample was pretty tender and delicious. Bread basket 4.5*- very good biscuits, solid cornbread and the hush puppies in the bread basket are great. Jambalaya 5* very very good stuff that you can tell is homemade and with a great recipe. Not too much tomato sauce but had very good seasoning and some great chicken to rice ratio. Gumbo 2*- was a bit watery and not alot of depth. Tasted pretty bland if you are visiting Louisiana dont take this as a gauge for good gumbo. Red beans and rice 3*- ok beans but did not provide anything special. Like the gumbo its pretty straight forward without alot of depth. Greens 1*- my wife and I love greens but these were not seasoned and had no flavor. We both took one bight and left it alone.

Pretty good food. I recommend the swamp basket and duck and andouille gumbo. Biscuits were delicious. Great service. Pretty thin gift shop.
(4)Arvil F.
I'm originally from West Monroe, now reside in Dallas and miss this food and Louisiana hospitality. Willie, my wife and I hope you open a Diner in Frisco Texas soon. Nice down South home cooking. The meatloaf is excellent, Gator bites a great appetizer, and my wife loved the Oyster Po Boy. Be sure and try the Pecan Pie. Kudos
(5)Charka W.
We tried the restaurant twice while in town, both times the service was mediocre and the wait for your order is very long. The first night the server didn't bring the salad or bread that went with the meal, then when ask for the bread we were done with our meal by the time we got it. On the second trip, we ordered a po-boy & a cheeseburger and waited a hour for our food. The food was very good just very slow service.
(3)James G.
This Diner gets by on name alone and from tourists. The décor is pretty cool with Duck Dynasty stuff everywhere and the show is on all 20 of the T.V.s. Food is okay but nothing special. Wish Kay was back there cooking all the food, but not the case.
(3)Tim D.
Had high hopes! Love the show. Love their characters. Very dirty place. Very expensive for a diner. $14 for a salad. Burger is $10. Men's room had trash all over the floor. Two of two soap dispensers didn't work. Cool looking place! Left without eating. Cracker Barrel is across the parking lot! 1/2 the price. Tried and true! Disappointed.

Pretty darn good food here. They get you I and out quickly which is good seeing as it is always so crowded. You get a bread basket with hushpuppies, biscuits, and cornbread when you sit down. All of these are good but the hushpuppies had to be my favorite. I got Mrs Kay's meatloaf with mashed potatoes and red beans and rice. The meatloaf was nice and dense, flavorful, and topped with a semi sweet tomato sauce. The mashed potatoes tasted home made and the red beans and rice were good to. I did have to add a little hot sauce to the rb&r though. Service was friendly.
(4)Angela R.
Lots of food and all tasty. Server very attentive and owner stopped by and asked how we liked our meal. Busser stopped and got me more tea. If we come back in the area we are stopping.
(5)Joey L.
Me n my wife went for lunch. They brought out some bread to our table right after we were seated. The biscuit and hush puppy were pretty bland, nothing special. The corn muffin had better flavor but not by much. We started off with some fried pickles, which were pretty good, but they charged us an extra $1 for another sauce, which I though was a little crazy. My wife had the fish plate. I had the smothered pork chops. They were tender but my plate just looked like a big grease pool. Not very appealing. Ms Kays mac n cheese were very tasty. Service was good. We eat out a lot and the prices were a little pricey. Just our lunch was $48, for two meals and a appetizer. And the food was just ok. I would like to see a larger menu. The place has potential, but we won't be back for quite awhile.
(3)Mona G.
Not impress. Will not be back. Food not hot red beans were bland, gumbo was like dirty water, jambalaya was musy not very tasty. Corn bread, hush puppies, bisquits all need improvement. Okra was greasy. Went 75 miles out to go there. Overall not worth trip. Focus on your duck calls.
(1)Kerry W.
The restaurant was clean, the waitress was great. The food was terrible. The gumbo lacked Louisiana flavor and love. The po-boy had small shrimp with a lot of batter. I was not impressed and neither was my wife. We visited the store twice to ensure that our comments were the same. (Everyone has a bad day.) Willy either do it right or close the doors. Don't expect customers based just on your name. We love the DD show, now show the quality in your food or close the doors.
(2)Carrie D.
Very good food. Not frilly, just right nearly, home cooked meals. Authentic food not tourist trap food. We ordered 6 sides and they were all very good comfort food. They do not skimp on the portions for the price you pay. :)
(5)Hannah D.
It was pretty slow here the day we stopped by and our waiter was super friendly and attentive. He definitely deserved five stars. Some of the food highlights for me were the fried pickles, corn bread, hushpuppies, and the mac and cheese (soooo good). Overall, I would come back when in the area (gotta get more of that mac and cheese!).
(4)R G.
Quick service and friendly staff. Food was hot and the fried catfish, fried okra and mac n cheese were ok.
(3)Darla S.
The food was good for this type of cuisine. We had the Cajan Sampler plate... The Kids chicken was delicious.. The rolls tasted homemade. That said, the service was terrible. We walked in and had to wait several minutes before anyone came to the front to seat us. Once seated service was painfully slow and then when our food came out it was cold. We had to send it back. I think they were having trouble with their warming elements... A little disappointing for our first time there. Would try again though.
(4)Stacie S.
Food was really good. We had duck and andouille gumbo, crawfish pies and banana pudding. It was all delicious. Banana pudding was different. Had a caramel sauce in it. It was rich but oh so good. It was $23 for a cup of gumbo, crawfish pie appetizer and pudding. We both had water. Hubby just said if it was close to our house he would eat there all the time.
(4)Christopher T.
I'm giving this place one star for the fact it's a tourist trap. The food here is below average for what they charge. I'm still puzzled how 2 meals and a order of desert cost 57.00 minus tip. My meal cost 10 dollars and my dad's meal cost 12 dollar. I'm guessing the sweet tea cost 40 percent of the price of my ticket. I was very disapointed. If you ever order the famous banana pudding be sure you have plenty of fluids to go with it because you will choke to death. It was very sticky and pasty like peanut butter. I've never had pudding so thick. If you're ever in the area stop somewhere else. You will get better food and save a ton of money.
(1)Billy W.
I live in alabama but come thru the area for work on occasions. Love the show so I thought I would try the diner and so glad I did. Got the swamp basket which includes (gator, duck, shrimp, and crawfish tails) a side salad and some biscuits. Everything was awesome but have to say those biscuits were amazing and would recommend if you are in the area you must try the diner out and Monday the 22nd they are having a duck jam and willie is supposed to be there. Great job to all involved in opening this awesome diner up see ya on the next trip thru town.
(5)james T.
Almost to desert and everything has been great. The bread starters are amazing I could almost eat a meal of just that. Our server is very good, friendly and is taking good care of us. The two entrees we tried, duck andouille gumbo and hamburger steak are very good. Also the price points are right on for food this good, we would easily have to pay a few dollars more in Dallas or Ft Worth where we are from. This gumbo could easily be served in a place like Reata or Lonesome Dove. Perfect place to get a great hot meal after being out in the cold deer blind for the last 5 days. You have repeat customers with us.
(5)Jennilyn W.
We had wonderful service and delicious food. The food as well as the overall feeling in the restaurant was warm and comforting. If you are ever driving on I-20 through Louisiana I highly suggest stopping by Willie's Duck Diner and driving less than a mile down the road to check out their warehouse.
(5)Ted S.
We loved the food and the waitstaff was great. We actually got a look at Willie Robertson as he entered thru back door and was seated in private dinning room.We had another shock as we were leaving Korie Robertson was entering as we were leaving . She was so sweet and allowed us to take a few pictures.God bless this family.
(5)Matt B.
This is their first day to be open. As such the service is a little slow and the menu isn't completely figured out yet but the wait staff is very nice and the food is above average. The food isn't anything out of the ordinary but you have to come by just for the experience especially if you like the show.
(3)Becca G.
It is what it is. A great place to stop with the family! The kids got a kick out of it. And the food was great...crawfish, duck, gumbo...a great variety and price!
(4)Jared B.
Had to check this place out, I ended up ordering a single link of boudin, Mrs Kaye's meat loaf, Mrs Kaye's Mac and Cheese and the mashed potatoes and gravy. Overall pretty good food for a place like this. I first roiled up and thought tourist trap but is pretty good with some things a little on the pricey side. I would definitely come back if I'm ever I. Town.
(4)Vincent S.
Staff was friendly, but not very attentive. Don't come here looking for anything crazy from the show, just a run of the mill comfort food diner. The menu was small. We had the Swamp basket. It was okay. My buddy got the pork chops with Mac and cheese, beans and rice. Chops were good the mac and cheese was terrible. I had the worse meatloaf of my life.

We stopped in West Monroe for a day on our way home from Georgia as a surprise for my boyfriends son as Duck Dynasty is his FAVORITE show. We did the self tour around the town and ended it with dinner at the duck diner. We were seated right away and Charlie our waitress was right there to et our drink orders. We started with a swap basket for an appetizer, everything tastes great- although for the price- I was thinking there would have been more in it. My boyfriend and I ordered the meatloaf and it was fantastic. The mashed potatoes were great as well as the Mac & cheese. The salad was ok but I know salad isn't a big thing to order in the south ;) My boyfriends son ordered the frog-legs and fries, he finished his plate- which he normally doesn't do. MS KAYS BANANA PUDDING!!! Holy moly that stuff is delicious. It looks small when it I at the table but it is definitely enough to share with another person. The decor was amazing! Just the decor was worth going there. The restrooms were very clean. They are playing episodes if duck dynasty which is fun to watch while in there. They also have a little gift shop which is great to get souviners. I didn't get the guys name working at that section but he was wonderful, African American with tattoos- he is a keeper, management material, so great to talk to. Earlier in the day we went to duck commander and the prices between the 2 are a little off. Some of the stuff was $5 more expensive at the diner and some were a little cheaper. That is the only down of this place. If we are in the area again, we will be back for sure!
(4)Toni B.
we love DD, and had to stop at Willies before we came home from a 2 month trip across the USA. I had the sampler platter, and I'm not a fan of gumbo, but this was really good, red beans and rice really good, but the jambalaya, YUMMO, brought the leftovers home and a week later I ate the jambalaya and it was just as good as they day they served it to me! LOVE the sign as you come inside "giving thanks is encouraged"
(5)Evelyn H.
Service is HORRIBLE..we have been sitting here for 15 minutes and no one has waited on us..we are Leaving! ! Ok as we were leaving the manager stopped us and said she would take our table and apologize d..so we stayed..wish we hadn't ..it was not great food..same thing you can get at any diner anywhere...I guess we were expecting more...very disappointed. .
(1)Sascha R.
This place was really good. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. Everything we ordered was good. The Mac n cheese was amazing!
(5)Bill S.
Went here today for lunch. We were seated immediately and our server greeted us quickly. The server was very nice and very attentive to anything we needed. We ordered an appetizer, yummy bacon cheese fries, and it was out in under 5 minutes, I was shocked how fast it was! My wife and I had the shrimp poboy, and we both loved it, it as HUGE, loaded with shrimp! Overall a great experience. Fast and friendly service, great food, and a fun atmosphere. We'll be back!
(5)Dawn P.
Good! Liked the atmosphere and the food. It was busy and there was a wait, but we were in no hurry. The oyster po-boy was very good, and fried pickles were wonderful. Just wish they served the Duck Commander wines-would have helped pass the time while we waited!

Had to wait for 30 minutes for a table. No problem at all, pretty much expected it. When we got a table the bread lady come over and told us she would bring fresh bread out as soon as it was ready. No problem. Our waiter come and took drink orders and brought them back. I ask for silverware. He said he would get some. Took our food orders. Food was awesome and actually faster than expected. Ask again for silverware. Waited and waited. He come back to check on us. Food was getting cold still no silverware. Finally after having food for over 30 minutes he brings silverware. Oysters where a little under cooked but he took them back and they cooked them to perfection. When we was done he give us our tickets. He hung around waiting for us to pay. My husband and I total was 60.14 I put a 100.00 bill in and he said oh I get to keep the change right. Ummmm WRONG! My daughter had 15.00 coming back and he also ask her if he could keep the change. Well that didn't set well with me at all. So I ended up not leaving a tip. The rest of my party had already went outside and I stopped to use the restroom. When I was walking out the waiter said thanks for the tip I make a whole 3.00 a hour. I have no problem tipping and tipping well. My grandmother was a waitress and she worked for 1.00 a DAY! I also waitresses when I was younger. Never would either of us even have thought about asking for a tip. My opinion is if I was manager he would be fired in a heartbeat!

Wife and I are finishing up a 3 week road trip across the country. We've eaten at least two meals a day, every day from chain places to quite a few dives and willies duck diner was the worst place yet. The place was doing a brisk business and we were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. We were seated at a dirty table that still had drinks and trash on it. The hostess removed the trash and dishes but the table was never properly bused. We sat there for about 15 minutes and when another group who was seated about 5 minutes after us was helped, we became concerned. We caught the first waitress nearby and ordered some drinks and appetizers. Our actual waitress showed up some 10 minutes later to take our order without drinks or anything else. A "runner" brought our appetizer. No plates, just a huge plate of cheese fries. Waitress finally brought drinks and a basket of tasty looking bread. All of the bread was cold and we asked for lemon for our tea. The runner brought our entrees and the portions were huge! The food was really good. Duck and sausage gumbo, jambalaya, Mac n cheese! All delicious and the bananna pudding was awesome. After asking three times for lemon, we finally got them. Took forever to get to go boxes, then a separate trip for the check, a bag. service was so incredibley slow but the food was good and great portions. I would probably try it again.

I waited long enough for the new to wear off and had lunch. Apparently I dined at lunch off the menu that was revised after opening day. Good move. The new menu sports plenty of choices for diners. Had a cup of duck gumbo. Good. Had a garden salad. And, IT WAS a big garden serving. Had fried pickles with the Cajun sauce. Good. Companion had the gumbo also. Side order of turnip greens. good. We both has soft drinks. The bread basket of two cornbread muffins, a biscuit and two hushpuppies were hot and right on. Thumbs up! Our ticket was almost $50. I had read an earlier review who mentioned the pricing at Willie's was the same as a good steak house. Well, Willie's is not a steak house. It's a diner/theme restaurant. I honestly question the staying power of Willie's at these prices . . . . The menu looked inviting, including several of Miss Kay's highly publicized recipes. The interior design nice. We ate in the back room where there are a couple of full-sized wall photo murals framing two of Willie's closing TV show narratives about family. There are Robertson photo enlargements throughout the diner. Service was solid . . . after we were finally acknowledged six minutes after being seated. The wall TVs showed DDynasty episodes only. I was humored by the aproned woman wearing rubber serving gloves who walked by MOMENTS AFTER BEING SERVED ALL OUR FOOD and she asked if we needed anything. "How about some to-go containers?" They're trying awfully hard on the customer service. It'll settle down after even a few more weeks and go below the obnoxious, irritating "always interrupting our conversation" stage. On the iPads being used by the wait-staff. I'm impressed. Your food orders go straight to the kitchen computer screen, so that can only speed things up. If Bucky would only invest in some shoulder holsters/satchels for the iPads that are readily available for purchase, the wait staff would have both hands available to use in carrying food from kitchen to table. Finally, the souvenirs. If you want Duck Dynasty souvenirs, you WILL NOT find them here. This is the all-Willie show. The souvenirs only sported the Willie's Duck Diner logo. You'd think he'd buy some DD souvenirs from his own company to sell/distribute locally at another site other than the crowded warehouse. IMHO, it was an expensive, relatively light lunch for 2 at Willie's. I'll go back and try the other entrees soon. Good thing there are ton$ of hungry touri$t$ intere$ted in pa$$ing through We$t Monroe the$e day$.
(3)Annie H.
Is a clean restaurant and waiters are very nice. Food is just ok but you do get the "Duck Dynasty" experience if your a fan.
(3)Christian M.
I travel to West Monroe for work very frequently. I'm not a huge duck dynasty fan but a few of the guys I work with wanted to go to the diner for dinner. I read the reviews ahead of time that said service was slow but I tagged along with a very open mind. Interior: Although decor was simple the overall diner looked very clean. Service: We were seated immediately and all the staff was extremely friendly. Service was very fast. Food: Enjoyed the bread basket with hush puppies, corn bread, and biscuit. We ordered the appetizer sampler. The breading was very "diner-ish". Crunchy, salty, and thick.... But I'm not saying it was bad. Flavor was satisfactory. I did enjoy the fried duck strips. The small pieces of duck actually tasted quite tender. I ordered the fried shrimp po boy with the famous "Ms. Kay Mac & cheese" which had good flavor but I was kind of turned off by how over cooked the noodles were. It was kind of a Mac & cheese mush. The shrimp po boy looked like a typical very large po boy. The bread wasn't soggy which was nice but it just had the traditional mayo, lettuce, tomatoes which was fine. The one thing that I really didn't care for was the shrimp on the po boy... It had not been de-veined. I know some people don't mind, but for me that's inedible. Overall not a bad experience. The servings were sized well. My coworkers really enjoyed their entrees and service was great. I wasn't looking for a 5 star restaurant but I just expected the infamous "Duck Diner" to be a little more invigorating.
(3)Chris M.
Stopped by West Monroe to do the "fan" thing... Duck Dynasty warehouse and then Willy's Diner. Service was great....decor very Duck Dynasty homey. Started with swamp platter appetizer....fried gator bites, shrimp and crawfish....since kids had never had anything like it. Costly, but worth the experience for them. The endless bread basket is great... Especially hush puppies and Kays Mac n cheese ....everything else was just okay food wise.....stopped more for the tourist aspect of it.....go for the experience.

Everything i tasted from here was great, the variety of different types of dishes was diffentely a winner for me.
(4)Ginger R.
I found this place by accident. I seen the line of people outside so I waited till later around 430pm to try. If you follow the program you would think the food or menu or recipes is approved by Willie's mother. Perhaps it is, but I have a 70/30 feeling it's not. I had the seafood sampler and there was talk about a chicken fried steak that is not on the menu. It was represented as being big as the plate, nope, not even close, but being from the chicken fried nation (texas),my wife had to have it. It appeared to be fried on its end and flipped over to the other end, one end too long. The seafood sampler was good, actually very good. The wait staff was friendly and informative and with every order you get cornbread/rolls/hush puppies. I would go back as the menu will be expanding and getting better.
(3)Marty B.
Good home cooking. Is it a high end place no. Is it a good spot of you are a fan yep. Food is seasoned well and the portions are good. Make sure you ask for crystal she will make your experience happy, happy, happy!!
(4)Miranda H.
We stopped here after visiting the Duck Commander warehouse. I think we had perfect timing because we walked in around lunchtime (12:45) and only waited five minutes for a table. The staff was friendly and helpful. After ordering our entrees we dined on the delicious bread basket. I could have eaten every piece of bread in that basket. All three types of bread were warm and tasteful. My one complaint is that it took awhile before we actually received our food. (Our waiter explained that this is the case when they get busy. By this time every table I could see had a family at it.) When we received our food everything was delicious, hot, and proportionate. I had the Cajun pasta with shrimp and crawfish. This is very tasty with a slight spice at the end. My husband ordered a fried gator po boy which was overflowing with crispy gator bites. The checkout process was swift, and we swung by the front of the store to buy a few spices. Overall, enjoyable. I would definitely eat here again. Oh, the decor is nice too.
(4)Kerri K.
We went for lunch and the place was pretty busy. Our server, Lacey was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed in a timely manor. I was a little disappointed that some of the items were not available, but considering they just opened, it's understandable. We ordered the Cajun and Swamp sampler and enjoyed it. All in all it was a fun experience.
(4)Amy B.
We went the Friday after Christmas for lunch. We arrived around 1230 and there was a wait (totally not surprised! Lol!). They said it was a 30 minute wait and we were seated around 15 minutes later. We ordered the swamp basket and natchitoches meat pies. Both were great. Personally I love the meat pies and highly recommend them. My entree was the shrimp po boy with Cajun dressing which was excellent as well - so much shrimp I had to eat with a fork. Portions were large even for the kids meal. My daughter probably had 15 shrimp with her meal. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because our waitress spent more time flirting with a table of boys than waiting on us. The food took a while to come out as well, but they were busy that day - totally understandable.
