I've gone to this Waffle House location once and I had a great experience. Despite all the negative reviews, this was the nicest/cleanest Waffle House I've been to. It's also the newest Waffle House I've been to. I do not doubt the critiques of other reviews, but I don't share the sentiment. The venue was clean and the staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked into the door. We received our food quickly and it was standard Waffle House quality. No bad comments here. For good and cheap breakfast that's fast, I will visit again!

Received a star because the food is always good. Service is a hit or miss because I had some really great service at times but tonights matter is based on togo orders. I was busy and I needed a friend to pick my food that I ordered togo. I had an assistant place my togo order to find out from my driver that they don't make orders togo this late unless you come in. If they felt that Mr.Bob isn't a name to be taken seriously they need to inform the caller because this wasted my time. I have a tight schedule and if they wished not to serve me late at night then tell the owners to close it down because we do not need attitudes and unprofessionalism in simple catering services such as a ribeye meal togo. A single order to be correct not even a drink is included.

This is the worst waffle house I've been to. The staff was not organized and the normal amazing waffle house line cooks were just confused it seemed. They got my order right even with me customizing it. I made a breakfast burritto which isnt on the menu. But you could tell that the system was just off and it started with the servers. There arent many waffle houses to choose from but I'd recommend you find another one instead of this one. They are building a new one in Harvey area at time of this post.

Dayshawn, Gwentona & Mr.Glenn along with manager Brandy were warm & welcoming. Our T-bone steak's were cooked to medium perfection. Not to mention the freshest COFFEE EVER. HASHBROWNS covered with cheese, mushrooms & onions grilled to perfection. New Orleans Uptowners will be back to the westbank.

I've heard great things about Waffle House. Finding one not too far from me got me a bit happy .. but I wondered, "Why is it 1.5 stars?" I now understand why from one small visit. My friend wanted to do a food run at 3 am. We didn't know where to go at this hour on the Westbank and he suggested Waffle House. I got a little happy inside cause this was my first time trying it and I've heard great things about it - yay!! Little did we know that upon our arrival, it was our biggest disappointment ever. We entered the parking lot, parked our car and got out. People inside the restaurant already began giving us weird stares. We walked right up to the door and tried opening it but it was locked! Everyone continued to stare at us as if we were outsiders. We tried again - pulling and pushing even though it says 'Pull'. Nope, no luck. My friend decided to give a light knock on the glass door to signal one of the employees to open the door. They shook their head at us. So we left. What confuses the heck out of both of us is, why are they closed?! It's supposed to be a 24 hour diner!! I came to the conclusion that it's probably just this diner, because the place was packed and I'm sure their employees didn't want another two customers inside their restaurant. Don't think I'll come to this location .. I mean come on, they basically told us no before we even entered!

I love Waffle House, a friend of mine and myself used to make trips to the location around Avondale after work at night so I was thrilled when I saw this one going up. My husband and I were finally able to visit a while back and were sorely disappointed. The minute we walked in we saw flies buzzing around, we really should have left right then and there but didn't. After we ordered our food we noticed these tiny bugs crawling around the table and just kind if swiped them off, but when our food came we found one of those bugs in our biscuits and gravy. When we pointed it out to our server she tried to brush it off as something funny and didn't seem too concerned with addressing it with the manager like most servers would ( I used to be a server, I pointed something like this out to managers anytime it happened because it's NOT okay). However, after reading the other reviews about this manager's behavior I guess I'm not surprised. She ended up taking $2 off the bill (didn't even cover what the plate cost) and just joked about it. Meanwhile, the flies kept buzzing around the whole time we were there. The place was disgusting. You will never find me here again.

Whenever I'm in a state that has Waffle House, I get excited! I always have their waffle and hashbrowns with tons of toppings. The food was fabulous as always and the customer service was nothing short of southern hospitality. Every employee greeted us when we walked in. If we were in town longer we'd go again.

Not even on a dare would you get me to step foot in this place again. Not even a triple, double-dog dare. From the loud and obnoxious music blaring to the loud and obnoxious people behind the counter, dancing and singing to it (looked like a bad scene from "Orange is the New Black" mixed with "OZ") this place was a disaster. I actually had to sweep the floor under our table before we sat down because there was more food there than on a normal plate and unlike other Waffle Houses, there was no one out cleaning. Our "waitress" asked us what we wanted. We had to, in turn, ask for a menu so we could check. This is a very limited menu compared to most we have seen. Maybe the ones in Mississippi and Alabama are better stocked? But it was really limited. We ordered standard breakfasts and since the last time I had biscuits and gravy at a Waffle House, it was amazing and fluffy and fresh, I made the mistake of ordering it there. Blah. A flat, hard "biscuit" with paste on top. Good for art projects, not so good for eating. When our main orders arrived, the "waitress" plopped the plate down in front of the Girly like she was slapping down dominoes. Of course, that had to be my plate...So the "waitress" slid the plate at me and left a line of mushy gunk across the table. When I asked what the was she just said, "That's just BREAD!" and rolled her eyes. My question is, What in the hell is doughy bread residue doing clumped on the bottom of a plate you are serving food on? It was a good 2 tablespoons worth...on a plate you are giving to a real life person. Seriously...WTF? There was no butter on or for the bread. The eggs were ok (the poor egg guy seemed to be the only serious employee there. The bacon was nasty and since the "waitress" felt the need to slam the Girly's plate down as well, one piece ended up on the table so wasn't eaten. So all in all, I would recommend this place to people who are really used to eating prison food served in that friendly fashion you see in high security lock-down. Actually, I wouldn't even recommend that to them. Go make a cup of Pot Noodles, play it safe, keep your head down and do your time.

Worst ever! I am not one to complain because I know it can be difficult sometimes being a server and sometimes you can have an off day. But this place went WAY beyond my expectations of BAD! The food was ordered wrong and came out wrong not once, not twice but 3 times! And still came out bad! I ordered a refill on my coffee and never got it even though the server confirmed it 3 times. We also witnessed 3 other tables sending their food back when we were here. There was food and trash all over the kitchen floor too! It would be worth the drive to the other Waffle House to avoid this one! Please save your time and money and avoid this place!!!

Worst waffle house ever. Food is decent, but the service is absolutely horrible. These people don't even begin to understand what manners are. Servers talking on their phones and texting. Ignoring guess, loud rude manager, disgusting cooks. Wonder how long this place will last. Had a bad experience with one of the servers here. Came back two weeks later and I politely asked the manager not to give me that same server. That server then came over right next to my table ( which happened to be by the sink ) and began to slam dishes. I asked the manager if I could move to a new table. The manager replies " I cant move you. The food order is already in." Seriously? Why come here when its obvious the employees don't want to be here themselves. Save yourselves anger and frustration. Eat some place else.

My eating experience at this store was disappointing and unsatisfactory. My expectation of food was great and I had no issues with my meal. However, it was difficult to ignore how the manger there was treating his employees. When I entered the store, I noticed he was yelling loudly to his employees. When I sat down and order my food he continued to hover the shoulder of the workers that I found it hard to enjoy my food. He jumped the case of one poor employee in front of patrons, including myself sitting nearby, about how she threw away unused jelly packets and that it was costing him money. Never will I eat there again due to the manager.
