Not a bad little place on S. Frost Road (LA Hwy 63)...Plenty roomy with a coupla electronic dartboards, pool table and a Golden Tee video game....I'm sure this place jumps after sundown cause it's probably the crème de la crème (a little French lingo cause hey we in Loozeeanna) when it comes to nightlife in Livingston, LA.... As stated roomy interior with 12-13 chairs at the bar, 10-12 pub tables and 2 regular 4-top tables for your seating and eating pleasure....9 Daiquiri machines behind the bar and a nice selection of spirits.... My visit on 6/3/13 was about 1:30 - 2 PM for a late lunch...Let me set the scene, I walked in and there was 6 ladies sitting together at 2 pub tables pushed together, 3 singles at the bar (simply drinking lunch) and little ol' me....I made eye contact with the chica behind the bar pulling double duty as bartendress/waitress and maybe that contact lingered a little longer than normal cause this chica had her parts in the all the right places & all the right proportions!! Being the gallant Southern gentleman that I am I grabbed my own menu in order to cut down on any strenuous activity by the lovely who was to wait on me....However, here's where the train ran off the tracks....10 people total in the place and that was soon cut down to 8 and I waited and waited and waited for chica to come take my order...be it for a drink or some eats....She finally graced me with her presence and I ordered my drink...She musta definitely had short term memory loss cause I waited and waited and waited for my drink...never came....In all this time I went ahead and made my food selection and kicked out a spare chair at my table and propped up my steel toe boots...THIS caught her attention and she came back over.... At that time she asked if I was ready to order, I said sure first I'd like that drink I ordered then I want the Roast Beef poboy with Onion Rings...Chica wrote nothing down and she prolly should have...cause swear to God it was maybe 20 steps from my table to the computer where you type in orders....no sooner had she got there than she called back across the joint and asked me what I ordered!! Poboy came out with fries not onion rings...but hell I didn't have the whole afternoon to wait on the rings so I kept my mouth shut however the final straw on subpar service was when chica apologized for the service cause they were slammed!!! Are you shitting me? With the people in there at that time of day I expected to see a tumbleweed blow by and a coyote howl in the distance!! I should have quizzed her definition of SLAMMED....A little mental acuity on the chica's part would have turned this into a 4 star review....It gets the 3 cause the poboy was decent to good and I'll stop in here again but try one of their burgers cause the word is they're excellent...Hopefully service will be better! But if you're in Livingston there really ain't a ton of options for chow and this is definitely the top o' the heap for decent eats....
