So I'm wiping away the last couple of lackluster visits and am moving forward with the hope that this is the "new" Milanos! Excellent meal! The highlights were the appetizers, specifically the bacon wrapped duck. We were glad the waitress suggested saving some of our bread to mop up the sauce it comes on. Also the tuna app and the spanakopita special app were both excellent. My entree was chicken piccata, which, although I would have liked my chicken pounded a lot thinner, had an excellent flavor. I wouldn't know about the other's entrees as I was too full to try them!

Top dining in Houma comes down to Milano and Cristiano's. Both have excellent food and ambiance. Been to this place a few times since it changed ownership. Every time has been a great experience. Good food, drinks, decor, and sometimes they have live music to complete your dining experience. Tip: On Wednesdays, they have 2 for 1 bottles of wine.

I'm throwing a 5-er on this place...the decor, the vibe, the food, the staff...everything was top notch!! I'll prolly beat Re H. to be the FTR but "Hey, you snooze you lose!" This place is classy all the way...from the way they dress the tables, to the decor, to the Baby Grand piano...wonder if they provide music on it during the Dinner shift? Stopped in for lunch on 4/11/13 at Re H.'s suggestion and it was one helluva suggestion!! Gina, I believe, was our server and she was excellent...She suggested the appetizer we went with...Bacon wrapped Duck bites, inside the duck was a sweet & tangy pepper slice! The plate presentation was outstanding...warm cane syrup drizzled lightly on the plate with some lightly placed pesto sauce scattered on the outer edge and 5 heavenly bites slap in the middle (see photo)...I cut one of the bites in half and lightly smeared it through the cane syrup & pesto and the taste and flavor I can't do justice to with mere words!! The duck was tender, the bacon crisp...if I coulda ordered a small salad that would've been one helluva light and filling meal by itself... However I went with the Tre Frommaggio burger and it was damn fine...they brought out a small cup of 1/2 mayo & 1/2 pesto to put on the burger and it gave it just that right amount of unexpected tasty that really took it from a regular great tasting burger to a ho' numma lebel!! That's "whole other level" for those of you that never watched MAD TV.... I imagine the Dinner Seating would be an excellent time to take Mr. or Ms. Right, or even Mr. or Ms. Right Now, for an intimate & romantic meal!! But they ain't snobs cause they let me in for lunch wearing a t, jeans and steel toed boots... Honestly, I have always been impressed with the scale & breadth of great dining options in Houma...and this one will be on my short list next time I'm back in Houma!!

Now that Yelp has adjusted the name, I can't speak highly enough about Milanos. The atmosphere is stunning, the chefs have created a delicious menu and the staff is friendly and knowledgable ....

I don't eat here often because when I do I always leave with this thought: should of went to Cristiano's! Much better food & better prices! Also, I've heard the chef very loudly "dis" another competitor. Granted the other place isn't great, it's not appropriate to very loudly trash them. Just let your food speak for its self. The food is good, but not excellent. Nice atmosphere. Service is always good.

Great service, classy atmosphere, and delicious food. Highly recommend the pork. The food is on par with Cristianos with a more elegant atmosphere. However the service is a little better at Cristianos. It was a little awkward not having a hostess there to greet you. We waited around a little until a waiter noticed us. Oh, and no beer on tap :-(

Great spaghetti and meatballs! I've only gotten a chance to get lunch to-go here a few times and it has been great. I love the spaghetti and meatballs here. The sauce and meatballs are way better than what you would get at Olive Garden. The sauce has a nice garlicky fresh taste to it. I also tried the vegetarian pizza here and it was also very tasty. The bread sticks are also soft and yummy. The kicker here is the to-go utensils from a distance looks like actually real silverware. It's plastic but has a shiny silver coat on them. I thought it was cool and different compared to the plastic white ones you usually get from other places. If I'm ever in Houma and wanted and craved for Italian food, I would definitely come here again.
