Everything I've had here has been outstanding. Sandwiches, salads and daily specials all great. The desserts are especially good. Always a big selection too. Try it, you won't be sorry.

The Chumbo is great and the Chili Dog is great. So.. The Chumbo Dog was just born. The Thursday before Derby is now National Chumbo Dog Day.

Love the food, the best kept secret in St Matthews. I eat here at least twice a week and it gets better every trip. Staff is very friendly.

Absolutely the Best Reuben In Town, and maybe all of Kentuckiana! A little tricky to find as it's nestled in between several other establishments and then hidden inside a consignment store, but once you're there it's like your own secret sandwich shop! The staff is great and does an amazing job of remembering frequent customers. The desserts have been tasty too. If you'd like to try something fun and new, give The Feed Bag a shot!

Once you navigate through the upscale used clothes, be prepared for great service and an even better meal. The Feed Bag came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Any sandwich should be on the warm pretzel bread. Soups are excellent, with subtle nuances to eay ch. Chili comes optional with spaghetti, cheese and/or onions, and had a hint of brown sugar. Drink the pink lemonade/sweet tea combo, it's awesome. Very affordable, great food!

The Feedbag is a great little off the beaten path cafe, the food is fantastic, I had the Rueben on a Pretzel Roll and it was absolutley yummy with the homemade thousand island dressing, my dining partners had the Arnold Palmer and it was yummy and the Club and she said it was one of the best she had ever had so try it you won't be dissapointed. One warning do not park in the fancy little parking area that is only steps away they will tow you, park in front of the Mayan Cafe. They actually pay a guard to watch the parking lot, really?? Anyway it's worth the aggravation of parking!

The Feed Bag is a lunch spot I had heard about for quite some time, but only recently did I have the opportunity to visit for the first time. First of all, this little gem is located in the back of a Dario's Closet--a purple-hued building that sits back on Breckenridge Lane. Upon entering the restaurant section, you'll likely receive a friendly greeting in this quaint space. When my mom and I went, we were invited to sit anywhere we liked. Promptly, menus were delivered. Normally, I just drink water, but I was enticed by the "Funky Tea"--which was a delicious drink, reminiscent of an Arnold Palmer or the sort. The service here is above and beyond what you generally expect. We were offered to sample just about anything, and if we had questions, we were easily able to ask those. I went with the rueben (on a pretzel bun!) and broccoli salad. My mom had the chicken salad and "the delicious potato salad." (Side note: My sister is a big fan of the Chumbo. I haven't had a chance to try it, but it's a combo of chicken gumbo and chili.) Though we were full, we did save a little room for dessert to take home. While deciding between the great options, the owner gave us each a free chocolate chip cookie. (Seriously, the service far surpasses what I'd ever expect.) The desserts we took home were great... and were promptly devoured when we arrived home. The one difficult thing about The Feed Bag is parking. Their website states, "Please use off-street parking or Pearson Funeral Home parking lot. Sorry for the inconvenience." Park smartly; you wouldn't want to get towed while enjoying this yummy food. I only wish The Feed Bag was closer to my office so I could pop in for lunch regularly. For now, it'll just be a tasty lunch treat--this is truly the kind of place I love to go for lunch! As I told my mom I was writing this review, she reiterated this: "Everything was delicious!" I agree!

We had the pleasure of enjoying lunch there today. It is a quaint little place with exceptional food and wonderful service. The "funky tea" is sweet and refreshing. The "chumbo" paired with "ruben" was to die for. The best decision was to take a pie home, since we were to full for dessert. The "chocolate chip chess pie" just made our day delightfully complete. We will return to THE FEED BAG from Indy, even if we must make a special trip to the fun St Matthews area.
