This little deli has yet to disappoint. If you go during peak lunch hours, expect a line to the door. I like to try different sandwiches and wraps with each visit, but it is so hard to pass up the Bow Thai pasta salad. It's sooo good! This visit was for carryout for three - sandwiches and drinks. The iced tea was very fresh, and the food order came up quickly. My one and only complaint is that they did not have a drink carrier - three drinks and a bag of food were tough to manage on my own.

Red Pepper is one of my favorite delis in Crestwood. I'm rarely out this direction, but when I am and need some food I always pick this as a spot. My favorite sandwich is the Hobo, which includes Ham, pepperoni, cheese, onions, and pizza sauce. It's delicious! I also really enjoy their pasta salads, my go to is the tomato bacon one. I had the potato salad for the first time and it's also very good and it's the traditional type of potato salad. It's a simple concept, locally owned, and always friendly staff. I noticed this time that there is a frozen yogurt company in there too. It didn't look like it was operating, but I'm not sure on that. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

I give it a 5 star for the food and a 3 star for service. We had to wait 20 minutes for a rosa chicken wrap. The wrap was great though and worth the wait

I really didn't like the food I had. The Sam's Steak Sandwich (roast beef, cheese, onions and peppers) had a disgusting amount of mayonnaise--probably an attempt to make up for the disappointing amount of meat. I also got a cup of Chipotle Chicken Pasta. On top of not tasting good and not actually having any chicken in it, it kind of caught me off guard by defying my expectations. From the looks of it, I thought it was going to have some kind of milk or cheese based sauce. I asked the cashier for a side of the mac & cheese. She asked me which one, and I pointed to the bowl. I guess I should have known it was going to be cold, since it was in the same display case together the potato salad, but the cashier didn't tell me "that's not mac & cheese." It turned out not to be cheese--it turned out to be even more mayonnaise. I had a mayonnaise sandwich with a side of undercooked, chickenless pasta slathered in mayonnaise for lunch today, and I'm not too happy about it.

This is a great place for a yummy sandwich. Lots of delicious options for pastas, soups, and salads as well. The tuna melt is especially good. The only recommendation I would have is adding some additional kid options. Other than that, a very good place to go for lunch or dinner.

Very good lunch spot! Ingredients are fresh and sandwich creations are interesting. The bow tie pasta is really good also. I have tried several sandwiches, including Fiesta Chicken, Big Graham, Pesto Chicken, and have never been disappointed. They use good quality bread.

What a great sandwich shop ! Potato salad, Mac n cheese and other sides sold behind a glass refrigerated display case to tempt you for more selections ! Has a small section to eat outside too.

Wonderful deli! Many healthy choices, gluten free options, and very tasty. Happened through here by seeing the sign on the interstate and very happy to have found it!

Excellent food just off I-71, well worth the drive. Get the Red Pepper Chicken Grinder with Tomato Bacon pasta salad. My girlfriend enjoyed her Oldham sandwich with potato salad.

Fantastic little deli off of exit 14 in Crestwood. Their Sam's Steak sandwich with chipotle mayo is fantastic as well as their chicken chipotle pasta! It's the perfect lunch spot with some feel good food.

Red Pepper is the place to eat healthy! The food is local, meaning it's not a NY deli, a Tex-Mex joint, or a pizzaria. I enjoy nearly all the fresh wraps, especially the turkey-pesto. Joe's salads and display case dishes are almost as good as my grandmother's, too! My advice, eat there daily until you've tried everything.

Good food. Stopped in for some quick eats on the way to the Speed museum one afternoon with the kids. (yea we were way out in Crestwood!) We got the chicken noodle soup, double mushroom cream of mushroom soup, a ruben, and an Italian club. The Ruben was not the best but not horrible either. The chicken noodle was really good - salty but I am a salt-o-holic. The double mushroom was fantastic as was the Italian sammy (don't remember the name). Would eat here again!

What a lovely sandwich in a place that seems to be nowhere.

This is one of my favorite spots in the area to grab lunch. The pasta salads are all delicious, and I'm so glad that they let you try them before you order. I honestly haven't had one thing on their menu that I didn't enjoy. It can get a little crowded at lunchtime, but I haven't had difficulty finding a seat.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
