Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Thank goodness - a closer, local answers to the the Linway Plaza Hacienda! I have absolutely nothing against Hacienda - it's a super great place but it's so awesome to see Lindo pop up in downtown Nappanee! Good prices and menu. LOTS of seating... like for days. If you come in early for lunch you may think it's overkill but nope, those seats fill up fast! Festive interior, crispy house made tortilla chips, good service.

Great staff. Very friendly atmosphere. Great food. Large portions. Good cost. This is the best Mexican restaurant within 20 miles. Love it!

Decor: 7/10: Meh. Nothing fancy. They had a cool rooster painting I wouldn't mind having. Ambience: 4/10: While we were there, water was dripping from the ceiling. Ick. Bathroom was really clean. Yay! Staff: 8/10: Very nice, attentive, friendly. Pricing: 10/10: can NOT beat the prices here Food: -Chips and salsa: 9/10: chips seemed homemade, so tasty. Salsa was not too spicy but also really flavorful -queso: 8/10: delicious, but nothing special -beans and rice: 7/10: rice was bland and the beans were spicy -ground beef taco: I chose a corn tortilla and it fell apart before I could even have one bite. I didn't mind eating it with my fork. Beef was good, toppings were crisp and fresh (cilantro and lettuce), cheese was cheddar. I'd go back and try some other options. Price can't be beat.

Great food at a very reasonable price. Portions are more than enough for how much you pay. I usually have to take a box home. I haven't left hungry yet. The homemade salsa is excellent! One of my favorites is the burrito grande. The staff is very friendly and I have no complaints about the service.

My wife and I really love this hidden gem in the heart of Amish country. We have never had a bad meal here....NEVER! The food is always the perfect temperature when brought to the table, the flavor is fantastic, and the service is quick and very efficient. The prices are really great too, which is a big plus. We go here at least once a week, and we always look forward to our next visit.

What a nice restaurant in the middle of the Amish Country. Not many restaurants close so this was a nice suprise. The food was authentic and very good. The plates were generous proportion. Very authentic, will go there again.

we've been there twice, with mixed results. the service and the staff were great. service was generally fast and they are very sweet. however, the second time we were there, our dishes came out one at a time, the last arriving about 7 minutes after the first. i had the chile verdes enchiladas. i am spoiled. i live in chicago, so i have too many great and reasonable dining experiences to compare when i travel. this was not great. bland, just really rolled tortillas with chicken inside, which was tasty, but as an enchilada i could do better at my local grocery. chile verde bland. beans bland and nearly flavorless. the rice was good. the guacamole that came on the plate was also very bland and flavorless. all the dishes were very bland. the salsa that came with the chips was almost like ketchup with chunks of tomato, no pepper, no flavor. the other dishes were suprisingly sparse. fish tacos, with broiled or flatgrilled chopped up fish tasted okay, but had nothing at all else on them....no lettuce or tomato or anything. same with the chicken tacos, bare. i am willing to concede that maybe they are from a region where things are bare and sparse, but i doubt it. i had a couple negro modelos, which were cold and served in a frosted glass and hit the spot. the meat tasted good, but no frills. the staff is great and i hope they pull up and improve, because it's a great addition to the small town that has not many choices. one of the interesting things about the whole experience is dining with the amish and the mennonites and the locals. it's comfy and warm dining room and the ambiance (!) is nice.

The best chicken tortilla soup I've ever had! My friend had fajita's and raved about them too. Clean and friendly. Very pleased.
