It's a nice experience to try it out. It's basically a Chipotle resturant kinda style. You pick your meats, veggies, pasta or break.. etc What I didn't like the fact the staff are in a rush, and they don't give you the chance to know whats there, and whats inside each topping or sauce. Also, by the time you pay the food is kinda cold. But overall, I'd like it and I'd probably go there again.

Delicious fresh ingredients, custom options for health conscious diners, and an affordable price point. What is not to love? I visited Piada on a Monday afternoon during lunch. It was busy, but the cooks kept the line moving briskly, and I had plenty of time after I received my order to relax and enjoy my salad. I loved that I could choose from an array of toppings, and that the portion was sizable and very filling. The grilled veggies were perfect, and everything was well seasoned .The Skinny Vin dressing was fantastic! I'll definitely be back!

Italian Chipotle? You can say that. Fulfiling? I think so. Good prices? Reasonable for the size of the piada. As the namesake implies, the piada is probably the most popular item at this fast-casual Italian street food joint. You can also order a pasta bowl, salad bowl, and various side items. The ordering process is straightforward once you get a hang of it. Just say you want a "create your own" piada, and off you go. Pick your protein, pasta/grilled veggies (you can add these to the piada), sauce, cheese, veggies, and salad dressing. Then everything get rolled up like it was a burrito. All toppings are included at the same price, so no surprises there. For the carnivores out there, you may or may not feel like you are getting enough meat. But didn't they say eat your veggies? Just load up on the toppings and you should be fine. My subsequent visit was a much better experience than the first visit. There was a line and a bit of a rush during the first visit, and I didn't know what all the options were. In my second visit, the line people explained what all the toppings were, and asked whether or not I wanted to add them to the piada. Now I feel like I can go back and order exactly what I wanted.

I really enjoyed my meal here tonight. I attended the Yelp pic-nic with Piada and I was able to sample a few different items. First thoughts: The restaurant is so clean and tidy. The food was so fresh and the staff very friendly. Think Chipotle but fresh Italian ingredients. I had a few bites of a make your own salad and I had the customizable pasta. Both so delicious. I love that you can choose so many different options. This place is very veggie friendly too! I also tried the gelato. The salted caramel was eh. I dug right into it when it arrived and got a spoonful of sea salt. I was so taken back that the next few bites unfortunately didn't make up for the salty spoonful. The chocolate gelato was spectacular though. It was bitter dark chocolate (like the excellent type of bitter you want) and choc syrup too. I feel like the only reason I'm giving Piada the 4 star is because of the salted caramel gelato and I feel a little guilty for it.

I have only been here twice and I have absolutely no complaints. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. I love Italian food and what better way to serve it than like this? One thing I correlate with Italian food is that it's heavy and rich, but this was just perfect. I would definitely recommend that if you are in the area and don't want the Maggiano's family style Italian, this is a great alternative. Fast, friendly and delicious!

Wish I didn't love Piada so much or that it wasn't 3 minutes from work! Fresh ingredients & friendly faces make this my go-to lunch spot during the week. Try the Farmer's Market salad-- strawberries, avocado, grilled corn, feta, & chicken-- it's great!

Yum! Never disappointed with anything I've tried. Truly a unique dining experience, it's weird but I love the decor. I probably have Piada at least once a month, and I always try something new....Well except the salads, which I'm sure are great. And yes, I agree with other Yelpers - it's like an Italian Chipotle. Build your meal with fresh ingredients. I love each and every one of the different pastas. However, my go-to is the grilled chicken piada. Don't forget to have a drink. They offer their own line of Italian sodas and teas.

Fun stuff and I'll echo what others said; it's like a Subway or Chipotle but strictly Italian. Ingredients are fresh and you can watch them grill your meat before it is served. I recommend getting a Piada and splitting a salad. The salad and pasta portions are very big. Plenty for sharing. There are chef recommendations or you can venture out and make your own. Everything we tried was very tasty.

Oh Piada !! All the Italian awesome lies here!! So, you say you were looking for a street food eatery that offers fresh and fast Italian food fare that doesn't taste like it was frozen, thawed and possible frozen again? Look no further ! I love the glass and black decor. It has a very open and fresh atmosphere. They have a lot of food options separated in a few categories: Pasta, Salad and what I will call 'other'. They have these thin, flatbread-but-not-really type of options that come stuffed with cheese or pepperoni but whatever way you choose, you can't go wrong to order extra (a piece accompanies pasta orders). You can add any fixings to your order that you want and they make it for you fresh and in front of you, so it's piping hot when you sit down (or take it home). The deli-like option that allows you to see the fresh ingredients and add whatever you want is a fresh touch to Italian fast food. Piada doesn't taste like fast food. The portions (even the smaller sizes) are the perfect mixture of eat some now, take home the rest for later. The prices aren't too bad and for the fresh taste and hefty portions, I would say it's worth it. I usually opt for the chicken Diavolo and add roasted red peppers, onions and green peppers. It could use a little bit more sauce for my liking and I will remember that the next time, but the noodles are perfectly cooked and I like to see the cooks toss the food around in the skillet. The containers the food is served in are great bowls that make for an easy take home transition that will deflect spills and messes. I appreciate their concern in that area.I give ten points for that. There is a big gelato picture on the back wall but I have yet to ask about it because it's not on the menu. Overall, I love the place. Fresh, fast, friendly and some healthy fast food options make for a four star rating IMO! I can't wait to go back and get more. I have yet to be disappointed and hope they are making a good name for themselves; afterall, they need to stick around for awhile : )

Italian street food. So where's the pizza I got their regular size carbonara. The good part is that it didn't come with green peas. Only one kind of pasta. 3 kinds of sauces - basil pesto, diablo, parm alfredo. Some customers are lost on these 3. Good thing they can give you a taste in a small plastic container Maybe every couple of weeks change the pasta type Maybe if they serve a red and a white wine, it may elevate the experience. Ambience is better than Noodles n Company. But there are better choices at Noodles

The Italian fast casual concept of Chipotle. Pretty good flavored but their meats are a bit over cooked. I've been here twice already and had the pasta carbonara and piata sandwich roll up. The pasta was good and flavorful. I just wish they tossed the ingredients together to warm up the cold vegetables you add into the mix. The breaded chicken was probably my favorite choice over the steak. I had a steak piata my first visit. It's a nice concept and decent execution. The guy who made mine kind of piled all my additions in sections of the "burrito" so it was big bites of peppers and olives. The steak was pretty over cooked and dry with chewy stringy pieces. They tried to show off with bigger chunks of steak but it just emphasized the dryness of the meat. I'll probably be back. It's a good quick lunch at a decent price. I do like the Italian sofas.

Piada reminds you of a Italian Subway, You pick if you want a salad, pasta or sandwich. Then you pick your protein. Then your sauce veggies and cheeses. Or you can pick one off the menu that they have already created for you. I got the regular pasta bowl with chicken. I am not a big fan of red sauce so I got the creamy parmesan. And added the basil pesto. They have 2 choices of sauted veggies. Onion & peppers or mushrooms & zucchini. Then comes the fresh veggies. Everything from spinach black olives to artichoke. They have feta mozzarella or parmesan cheeses. They also have dressing, but I didn't try any of those. Kyle got the create your own steak piada with tomato basil sauce feta cheese and lettuce. He loved it. We also got the garlic dough. It was one of the flatbreads with a lot of garlic mozzarella cheese and grilled. It was too much garlic for me. So next time I am near Keystone at the Crossing I will go back.

This is a great restaurant. The BEST healthiest fast food I've ever had. I absolutely LOVE this place. The service is so nice, patient, and friendly. The food is amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. I'm also asking them to build one downtown.

Stand in line, order your food, pay, eat. Simple concept with great ingredients. Some items I think are too spicy for Italian food, think they try too hard to cater to the Chipolte/Quadoba crowd. Skip the standard sodas and go with the Italian Sodas. Go for the regular size, it is a better value and the food is good later.

Came here for Pic-Nic at Piada event. I have to say, this place was great. I know they were overstaffed to make sure everything ran perfect and that could play to quality especially since they brought in the traveling quality team. That being said, the food was great! I had the Salmon Salad which pretty much had every topping available on it like the pancetta! don't pass up on the pancetta!!! I also had the calamari which was delicious as well...they came with little fried hot peppers that gave the calamari this spicy tang...mmm mmmm I work near the Carmel location and go there every so often. Great place and worth checking out!

Let's start with the positives; quick, filling, great price point. The place is also very clean. Now again, this is where half stars would come in handy for me because I think a two star is a little low but I'm closer to two than to three so there you have it. The staff was completely unwelcoming and seemed to rush us through our order. The piada sticks came out doughy/sticky without the cheese completely melted. The bisque was a bit underwhelming. The piadas were the best of what I had hitting a lot of different flavor profiles. The calamari was done right and the sauce was added in a way that didn't interfere with the crispiness of the protein. Definitely a lot of good flavor and fresh ingredients.

  • Erni M.

Very tasty. Surprisingly good and a nice decor. I orders calamari piada. Lots of flavor. Would have preferred it grilled. Piada really was just a huge tasty burrito and not easy to eat. I will try as a salad or open face next time. They sampled their lobster bisque and it was amazing.

I first fell in love with Piada when I was on business in Northeast Ohio. I went to their location in North Canton's Belden Village which would remind you a lot of Castleton. Lotsa chains and big boxes, but with a few hidden gems scattered throughout. Granted, I guess this place now qualifies as a chain, but I don't think they have much of a presence outside of the Midwest (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway, my mother learned how to cook from an Italian woman, so I would like to think that I know what "real" Italian food is. Olive Garden? Meh... I'll go if everyone else wants to go... Fazoli's? Uh, their breadsticks are nice? Bravo!? Let's take that tiramisu to go. Yeah, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to cooking al italiana (someone kick me if I got that wrong). It's my comfort food. It nourishes my soul. But I'm also a big fan of places like Chipotle, and the best way I could describe this place in five words of less would be "Chipotle but with Italian food." but I feel like that's cheating a little bit. What sets Piada apart is that they have these what I would call, "pre-set" menu options like Chicken Basil Pesto Pasta. All the ingredients are out front like at Chipotle, but certain things make up the CBPP. You can always build your own like Chipotle, but the chef's specialties are what make them, well... special. This particular location is testing to see if gelato could work in their other locations, and the samples I was given each time I've been were rich, creamy, and all around lovely. It's going to take a lot of convincing my mom to come here (not only does she know what "real" Italian food is, she hates how congested the Keystone Mall/Castleton area is), but I honestly do think she'll appreciate it.

Everyone said "Piada is like an Italian Subway", and it's true. I would say it's more like Chipotle because the decor is a little more subdued than a Subway and piadas are more like burritos than sandwiches. Piadas (burritos made with flatbreads) are very good. First you decide if you want a piada, pasta bowl or salad bowl. Then you pick a meat and a sauce. Then you pick all your vegetables, cheeses, seasonings, etc.). Pay at the end of the line. Fill your own drink at the beverage station. Sit down. Enjoy. There are definitely more people working here than at a typical Subway. At Subway you'll find 2 to 4 people working. At Piada, I counted at least 11 people behind the counter. 1 person is in the back constantly cooking the meats so you know it's going to be fresh. I love the Vespa-themed decor here. Very retro-cool. It was packed when we came here for dinner on a Sunday night and I don't know if that's always true or if this place still has a buzz about it. I'm not sure I will be coming here regularly because it's pretty pricey for a quick serve restaurant. A piada will cost ~$10 and I can go to a chain Italian restaurant and get a bowl of pasta, garlic bread (maybe a salad), and be served by a waiter for about the same price. Of course I'll have to drop a couple of bucks for a tip, but totally worth it.

No idea what to expect when we stopped in to Piada's last night for dinner. In my opinion, it's a more upscale take on Fazoli's with a Subway-twist on make your own salads, pastas and sandwiches. I didn't quite get the concept when I walked in, and there were people behind me so I didn't make my own, but next time I definitely will. I ordered the Small Chicken Pesto Pasta and it was good! It came with a piece of garlic flatbread which was also quite tasty. I did add spinach to the pasta, and that gave it a bit more crunch which I liked. The small pasta portion was definitely big enough - now, I'm not saying I couldn't eat a regular, but I shouldn't and the small is definitely enough. The gelato looked tasy, but after eating a bowl of creamy pasta, I figured I should bypass additional calories. Next time I go, I'll definitely take the make-your-own route. Boyfriend got the diavolo pasta and that sauce was yummy! Would add that in addition to more vegetables. I think that the salads looked tasty and the piadas did too - but piadas are only one size, and they looked too big for me. The interior was cozy and clean with lots of seating. Overall, it's a nice compromise between fast food and sit-down. Don't have to pay a tip, but the overall taste and presentation of the food is better. I'll be back!

Good: think chipotle, qdoba, or subway for Italian food. Piada sticks, aks your own salads, piada' all good. Two size options depending on hunger. Only had chicken grilled and Diablo sauce which is spicy and went well with my salad. You can get spinach or mixed green salads. Bad: sort of loud music, not overly friendly staff, small water cups and no lids to match. Bathroom was out of TP mid day and place was not busy. Somewhat procey for what you get

Friendly service, eclectic atmosphere. I have only had the vegetarian pasta bowl (one of my favorite meals around Indy) but my husband loves the meatball piada. We have never had a bad experience here, and we meet here for lunch all the time! Sometimes the line is very long, but it moves quick and is so worth the wait!

Piada provides great, fresh, flavorful, healthy options, quick and affordable. I appreciate being able to customize my meal with plenty of options of my choosing. I really like the concept (Subway-ish) and enjoy seeing all the ingredients going into it. Calorie counting? No worries here, you control what's going on your plate. Dining room is open and modern with nice furnishings. Service was quick and friendly. Would like to see Brewed Unsweet Tea. Does anyone really drink fake tea from the coke fountain anymore?

  • James B.

Why did it take me a year living in indy to try this place??? I assumed it would be pizza and Strombolis. Instead they have deliciously fresh ingredients of Italian inspiration primarily served in pita like dough or in a bowl like Chipotle. It's a disservice to say chipotle as this is clearly a step above fast food. As quick casual dining goes, this is as good as it gets!

In the mood for Italian food in the style of Chipotle/Qdoba? This is it! With large, fresh portions, delicious tastes, and a great selection of Italian fountain soda you probably won't leave here hungry or disappointed. My favorites are the Chicken Diavolo Pasta and the Fritte Piada. The large bowl of pasta is $8.49 and almost enough food for two people. The Piada is large like a Chipotle burrito and you can add any number of ingredients to it, including noodles. Be sure to try their Italian sodas. The Orange and Berry are my favorites. This chain recently launched out of Ohio and it appears they are rapidly expanding. I hope they add a location on the other sides of town because right now they are only located in north Indy and Carmel.

My boyfriend and I are big fans of Piada. We have tried the piadas, salads and pasta and I like them all. My favorite is probably the chicken fritte piada, so good! They use fresh, quality ingredients and it really shows. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating to your order. We will definitely continue dining at Piada and highly recommend it for a casual lunch or dinner, solo or with friends!

Good fast food for a great price. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because the server today was a bit rude - an eye roller who couldn't hear me over their loud pop music. However, we've been here a few times and that is the first time I've encountered rudeness. Everyone is usually super friendly and cheerful and the food is great - fast and delicious.

After having a chance to check out Piada Italian Street Food a number of time its time for a Yelp review! The owners certainly didn't spare any expenses in selecting the location: hard to miss in front of Barnes & Noble and Old Navy off of 86th Street. Considering the location can definitely imagine they invested a great deal in purchasing the empty space (formerly part of the parking lot) and building a brand new and creatively designed restaurant space. Starting out with the soda (strange to start with that topic!): The Italian soda fountain is a great option and having that extra hit of carbonation adds to the taste. The vegetarian option piada and pasta are terrific and the menu includes many options to add to your meal. Piada sticks are great and highly recommend one as an appetizer. Only thing surprised about was lack of beer & wine (perhaps application is pending?) options. Also the gelato is amazing and the salty/caramel is really strong but definitely loved it.

Great food!Great staff! Great experience! We enjoyed the chicken piada, the pesto pasta and the vanilla bean gelato. The chicken piada was awesome! It was like the chipotle of Italian. A great experience. I hope one moved to the STL soon!

Absolutely mouthwatering. The steak piada as it comes on the menu is awesome. I only wish there were a location downtown in the Mass Ave vicinity...

Piada is a nice addition to the "quick meal but not quite fast food" options. I really enjoy having something new and unique to go when I want to sit with my friends but not spend a ton of money. Only been here a couple of times so far but I am a fan. I find the menu a bit confusing, they don't have a ton of suggested combinations so it may be hard to know what you should or shouldn't mix together. Other people may not find that confusing at all. I have tried one of their piada suggestions and one of their pasta suggestions. Both were quite good and I would get again. Their pesto is delicious! I have also tried their pepperoni rolls, the sauce you get with this is divine. Mmm. I also had the cannoli chips and those were delicious and a fun treat. They also have a few of their own sodas which I really enjoy. Overall, a good first impression and I will definitely be trying a more things. I defitenly want to try building my own combination!

We were in town for soccer tournament with 18 16-17 year old boys from Seattle. We stayed in a nearby hotel and found Piada on yelp. The reviews are accurate! This place was perfect for what we were looking for. They were very friendly, had great service and the food was excellent. We will be back!!

SHORT REVIEW: Informal Italian fast food. It tastes good, it's easy to eat, and it's quick to get. LONG REVIEW: Piada has a pretty nice vibe through and through. - LOCATION/FACILITY: From the beauty of brand new construction, it's easy to immediately notice the cleanliness of the facility and it's design. They have their own area of the private parking lot nearby all of the other shops, so parking is hassle-free with this place. Inside, you'll find an immediately noticeable direction on how to navigate the physical space and it's menu. With a long wall directing newcomers to the ordering point, you are greeted by a long glass half-wall with all of their foodstuffs and utensils on display. This bodes well for concerns of cleanliness and is reminiscent of other quick-service entities such as Subway and Sushi Boss. The interior is also delightfully designed--sharp, clean lines and earth tones in ample supply like it were an Apple Store offshoot. Makes for an attractive place to have a bite to eat, indoors or outdoors in their patio area. - FOOD/DRINKS: With a very reasonable price point and considerably large portions, Piada shines in value. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Pasta and was not wowed by it's taste, but it was served to order and hot. I added a pepperoni-filled Piada Stick to my order, paired it with a delicious Italian cream soda and left a satisfied customer for this Round One. I hear excellent commentary about--among their more hand-held, walk/drive-&-eat-friendly options--the calamari Piada, so I'll be sure to give that its due taste test on my next visit. - SERVICE: While not a seated-service restaurant, the staff did great me pleasantly upon arrival, walked me through the ordering process, and offered suggestions noting it was my inaugural time dining with them. Those small gestures can be hard to miss, but seldom go under-appreciated. - OVERALL: For a nearby lunch break bite or a casual dinner date in line with your familiar Qdoba, Chipotle, or quick-service night dining spot experience, give Piada a place on your list. It's 'molto bene' and a place you can visit solo, in duo, or with the kids in tow over and over again without breaking the bank.

Wow - awesome fresh made - to - order food with a variety of ingredients. You choose what your stomach desires. Chef Ben, Jamie and the crew made us all feel welcomed. Explained the concept and beginnings of the restaurant and then proceeded to make 25 Yelp guests their choice. Excellent ending to our meal - choir of salted caramel or chocolate cannoli gelato. Definitely worth the drive.

Piada is a great lunch stop in a convenient shopping area. The food is prepared fresh and you place your order assembly - line style (think Italian-style Chipotle) so you can really personalize your dish. I ordered a small pasta bowl and thought the portion was generous. It was served with what I would describe as a quesadilla-type piece of flatbread filled with cheese, garlic, butter, and herbs- SO good! Whatever entrée you choose, make sure you get one of these on the side!

This place is definitely worth a visit! I randomly stopped by after a quick trip to the mall. I was immediately impressed by the swanky decor. I had no idea what to expect. I've never heard of a piada. It's a fairly new establishment so the staff was super friendly and pleasant. I walked up for the counter completely clueless to the concept of a piada, so I asked. It's basically an Italian flatbread baked on a stone gill. Sounded good enough to me. I opted for the Chicken Fritte Piada which is basically crispy chicken, mozzarella cheese, romaine lettuce, peppers, and spicy dressing. The set up is similar to that of Subway, so you see you select the fixins'. I kept mine to the suggested items. Next stop is the cashier and that's it. They have a variety of fountain drinks for purchase. I gave the sweet Italian tea try. Oh boy was the tea sweet. I wouldn't get it again, but worth a try if you are a sweet tea fan. I am slightly embarrassed by what happened next. In the parking lot, I decided to take a quick bit of my piada. Let's just say my piada was devoured by the time I made it home. I won't go into details because I'm sure I violated a few safety rules while driving. It was that good!

Came here for lunch and got the calamari piada (the employees described the piada as an "Italian burrito") and a pepperoni breadstick. I didn't realize how big the piadsa was, so the breadstick was overkill, but I actually enjoyed it more than the piada. I was a little weirded out when the calamari was dumped from a little bag onto the piada (you watch teh food as its being assembled, kind of like Chipotle), but it's fast food, so I guess I should have expected that. Like the architecture of the building, the atmosphere was clean and modern.

  • Nancy W.

Good food at a good price. I am sort of obsessed with the calamari salad and I am not a salad person. I will say that I do not find the staff overly friendly and one of the chefs (perhaps he is a manager?) seems to take himself very seriously. I have actually had to argue with them on two occasions, but I can deal with it given the quality of the food and the price.

  • Robin L.

Loved it! Definitely an Italian (well, Americanized Italian) version of Chipotle. My hubby and I both had piadas--like a pita pocket burrito. He had meatballs and I had grilled chicken. So many toppings choices, some hot and some cold. I loved that there were enough choices that I'm interested to go back and try a new combo. The prices were great and fair. Added plus: I didn't feel quite so overly full as I do post-Chipotle. Other options, such as soup and salad combos, make me want to dive into the menu. I will be back, soon!!

Ordered a chicken fritte piada for 8.12 after tax. It was probably as big as chipotle's burrito, and had a lot of flavor! Good ambience--place is modern and beautiful. Employees are really friendly too, which is a plus!!

First time going here as my wife wanted to check it out. With my father and two kids so the five of us visited the location by the Fashion Mall. Menu was intriguing and we felt there were options for everyone. Bottom line: good, affordable food. I had the Calamari Piada and it was tasty! Room for Improvement: granted we were there at lunch hour, but I think their order taking and processing could use some room for improvement, especially when ordering for more than one. We stood in line for not an unbearable length of time but it was not speedy either. As we ate, we noticed the line grew from the order counter to the entry door. I would recommend using forms that customers can fill out and hand to the preparers. There were several occassions during this visit where order specifications had to be repeated. Using a form would could also serve to let customers know what options are available for each menu item. Being a new option and not being familiar with the menu, I was not sure what options were available for not just my choice but my other family members. Keep working at it, the quality of food is there. Italian street food!

Fun little spot! I dig the building & decor. Tried the pesto chicken pasta & will probably get it again. The staff was a bit quirky, but very knowledgable of the menu once we let them know it was our 1st time. Looking forward to trying dessert next time.

I love the concept with great food and low overhead! (Simple makes me happy)I have been to both locations, finding the quality of food to be high at both. Remember to keep it simple to have the best experience. Don't try to put everything the have on your piada or pasta bowl. If you aren't so good a making your own combination, they have some for you to choose from. This place is my husband's favorite! My one issue is their music. I am not at a 20 something martini bar, I am here to eat a meal and enjoy it. The club/techno music has got to go. I like techno but not while I am eating. While there at lunch on a weekday, I was thinking " this is supposed to be the time during the day for a break, to relax, but instead this thumping music makes you feel rushed, not so enjoyable. But that really is the only thing they need to change.

I had the privelege of trying Piada for the first time at Yelp's pic-nic with Piada. I'd never heard of Piada before, but was pleasantly surprised, and will definitely be back if I'm in the area. FOOD: Fast casual italian-ish food. My husband had a piada (sort of an italian burrito), and I had a salad. He described his entree as 'a pizza burrito,' which was fairly accurate. Fresh and tasty, but nothing groundbreaking. I really really liked my salad -- it's tough to get interesting salads at fast casual places, and Piada definitely delivered. I ordered the chef's menu calamari salad, and was impressed: mixed greens, italian veggie toppings, and fresh fried calamari, tossed in a nice light dressing. It's tough to get a good salad (ie not a pile of iceberg lettuce with a few sad cherry tomatoes) that's not drenched in dressing. Bonus: the salad came with a tasty bit of "garlic dough," so I didn't feel left out of the whole piada them. Yum :) I would also recommend the piada sticks -- my husband volunteered that he would happily have a few of those instead of his sandwich, and they're pretty inexpensive ($2?). The only thing that didn't impress me was the gelato -- they explained they were one of only two locations with gelato, but it wasn't anything special. The gelato was basically vanilla soft serve, topped with either salty caramel sauce (which I found a little too salty), or crushed up cannoli shell and dark chocolate (better, but not phenomenal). I would probably skip it in the future -- just not worth the calories. The house made sodas and teas were a nice touch. I appreciated that the teas were fruit flavored but not sweetened (the peach was tasty), and the orange soda was unexpectedly delicious (I expected fanta, but was pleasantly surprised). VENUE: Nice open seating plan, with tables of various sizes/heights. It got a little loud, but it could easily work for eating alone, in small groups, or even a big group. Nice and clean and bright. SERVICE: They did a fabulous job of handling a ton of orders really quickly. They had plenty of staff behind the counter and had no problem getting 30 or so complicated orders done accurately, quickly, and without seeming cranky about it :) It seems like they would do really well during the lunch rush! All the staff was nice and friendly, and seemed happy to answer any questions. Overall, I enjoyed it and I will probably be back. It's a great alternative to chipotle/qdoba/panera type places, and the salads were fantastic.

I've been twice for lunch. Both times spent $9.20, After tax this included my drink. The menu is simple and fresh salad bowels, pasta bowels, salad wraps (piadas). I did notice salmon and plan on trying that soon. I tried the Tuscan chicken salad: I loved the dressing a spicy Tuscan, the tomatoes were fresh, better than normal. The chicken diavolo was very good. I'd order it again but I want to try more things.

This place is like a noodles & company and a subway mated......Food was good but a little pricey for what it was. Not a bad option for a quick lunch.

Came in looking for a nice place to eat in quiet during my lunch break. This place is easily the most irritating place I've eaten in the area. I would've been better off eating in the fashion mall food court. The place is clean and they have good options. That's about the only positive I can think of. It's extremely loud. I sat down to eat at a table alone and a bus boy literally came and cleaned the table with me sitting at it just going around my tray and belongings with a rag. Other pet peeve- the guy loudly sweeping the floor and moving chairs around. Swept in front, beside, behind me leaving me a few inches of privacy. The place was already almost spotless so he's just walking around making noise at this point. If I go back I'm getting take out. You're better off going to Bella.

Great, like subway or qdoba in the build your own sense, but with Italian ingredients. I had a meatball wrap and it was awesome.

'The Mediterranean Chipotle', need I say more? You won't regret it! Fresh veggies in a piada (=burrito) or in a bowl. Meat options also include calamari... Not something you see every day.

You must try this place if you're looking for a quick fresh bite! Easy access to parking, separate from the main mall lot. My first visit to this location was a much more pleasant experience than my visit to the Columbus, OH Piada. Not because that was a bad experience, just an overwhelming one. Something they added to this Indy location's menu is a Chef's Menu where they have about a dozen different options to chose from instead of a "choose your own toppings" deal. You can still create your own if you're fancy like that ;-) personally, the number of choices seems endless which completely overwhelms me. That's why I really enjoyed picking the calamari Fritte Piada from the Chef's menu and just having them make it with all the suggested goodies on top. Delicious! The staff of Piada certainly went above and beyond with their friendly and very accommodating style. I love how all of their ingredients are as fresh as their service is snappy. You don't have to sacrifice quality or health options for quick service at Piada. All of their salad dressings are made fresh each and every day. They were having some seasonal specials including a delicious looking farmers salad topped with strawberries and avocado. The Italian soda fountain was a great touch and this is one of the only locations to feature yummy gelato! And both flavors were absolutely delicious!

Never been before and two of us walk in. Greeted warmly and we said we'd never been there before. We were the only people (more came in after we got our food) there but about seven employees standing around. I walked over to the ingredient area and asked if you choose your own ingredients or how it worked and they just stared at me. We finally asked the guy who greeted us about what to order and he recommended something already created on the menu vs. making your own. So I ordered a pasta and my friend ordered a Piada. Above the register is a sign for other things to order, like breadsticks but when we asked about it she obviously didn't hear us and just told us our total, twice. At that point in the line I didn't know if you could even order more stuff - rather confusing. As far as the Piada goes, my dining companion enjoyed it decently well but was noncommital. As far as my pasta goes, they seriously just throw ingredients together in a skillet on the line and take tongs to it to toss it up and then pour it into a paper bowl. It was not hot and it was not good. The flavors of alfredo and pesto were overpowered by an intensely garlicky pesto that lingered in my mouth for hours (and a handful of mints) later. My mouth burns like garlic thinking about it and this dining experience was a week ago! So, we were clearly confused about the process and how it works and no one explained it to us despite asking questions and then, to top if off, the food was subpar.

I went to Piada Italian Street Food last night as I have been wanting to try it for some time. As I entered I was greeted with a menu and a smile from a very friendly employee who even gave her recommendations for what we should order for our first time being there. We ended ordering the Piada Sticks - pepperoni as side items, the Pasta Carbonara, and the Chicken Basil Pesto Pasta. The servers were very patient and even the cooks came out to help place food orders. The service was extremely friendly and unusually quick. I will join the majority when I say that it is like a Chipotle except with Italian food. We ordered to go (so we could have wine with our food). Our orders came in small and were delightfully filling. Normally, I can eat a large amount, but I am trying to cut back and it felt like it was the perfect amount of food and felt more like a regular size than a small. The Piada sticks were absolutely delicious and different than just a pepperoni stuffed bread stick. The bowls were both simply amazing and great for a rainy, date night with a glass of wine and Breaking Bad and not really wanting to go out or cook. The price tag was right around $20 which I would definitely pay again for the meal for two.

Very good for the price. The service is unbelievably fast and the Chef is always in the kitchen. Really liked the Italian soda station. I've had all three of their Piadas and they all over deliver. It's not romantic Italian but it is exactly what's advertised. Good quick food you can eat on the go.

A piada is basically an Italian burrito. But it is different, especially the calamari piada. Sauces were slightly spicy and flavorful but not overbearing. For $8 I can leave quite satisfied

I'm addicted to this place already! I think some of their items (like the side of garlic dough and calamari) are a tad too salty but I can look past this issue. I haven't ventured into creating my own meals yet but I love customizing the pasta bowls (artichokes, yes please!) and the piada is just tasty. Looking forward to placing my order online and picking it up at the window next time so I can grab great comfort food in my comfy clothes.

First time at Piada - delicious food prepared fresh as you watch, great value and enough choices to satisfy my curiousity! Ate calamari piada - superb taste and filling. Definitely worth a return visit.

This location opened two weeks ago. It's a nice alternative to the usual fast food...of course, the prices are a little more expensive because the food is fresh. It's kind of like someone mixed a burrito place with Noodles and Company. The main options are piadas (a light burrito), pasta bowls and salad bowls. I ordered a calamari piada ($7.50) with two piada sticks (pepperoni and cheese breadsticks - $2.00 each). Both were great, but the piada sticks were a mistake because it was too much food. I would have been full just with the piada; it's the portion equivalent of eating a burrito. I think the menu is a little expensive for fast food, but it is good. The staff was very friendly. However, as a new restaurant, it appeared that they were still ironing out how to complete orders correctly and efficiently.

This was my first visit here. I came with a friend for lunch. I'll be honest I was a little apprehensive at first with trying new Italian, but it was down right delicious. There was a little bit of everything on the menu that should be able to please everyone. And the price was definitely reasonable too. It's hard to get from me, but I give it 5 stars. I can't think of anything that would have made it better.

I've never been so underwhelmed in my life. So, you are expecting Italian street food? Forget about it. You would be kicked to the side of the road if you tried to serve this in Italy. Great concept, but failure to deliver. More like Panera style or quedoba with some "Italian" ingredients thrown in. Probably will be a very successful venture...

Left a bad taste. I would have rated the restaurant better but our car got broken into and everything stolen (it was parked right outside). Apparently the criminals know that the restaurant security cameras only focus right outside the front doors and don't span the entire restaurant front. Mall security guards said there have been several car break ins at this location due to significant security gaps, blind spots & the restaurant isn't officially located on mall property so the mall cops don't actually patrol it. So, if you're up for high risk Italian food, this may be the dining adventure you seek. Unfortunately this dinner ended up costing us about $3,000.00 in car repairs and stolen property. The chef's comment: "Well that sucks".

Discovered this gem after receiving a coupon in the mail. It's excellent and I'll keep coming back when I need a quick dinner. The food tastes great and I love that it's all prepared by the time I walk to the cash register at the other end.

Amazing place for a great pickup! The food was really fresh and the employees were very nice! There are plenty of choices from piadas (italian burritos) to pasta bowls and salads. There is also a choice of making your order your own. We are picky with our italian food but this definitely satisfied us! Give this place a try if you want something quick, fresh, and delicious!

What a fun experience! All the food we ordered was fast and so tasty. The lobster bisque was some of the best I've had. The salad was very good and my husband's steak Piada was flavorful. The atmosphere was inviting & the menu was varied. We definitely look forward to coming back for more. The Italian Soda was even a treat.

Piada: A burrito that wants to be Italian. The calamari sandwich was very flavorful. Had a lot going on inside the round blanket. The calamari had just the right amount of crunch. Not much on the seasoning but the fixings more than compensated. Had an Italian soda and it was definitely refreshing. Was very filing Will definitely come back and try the gelato.

LOVE this place. Went on a Friday night after work with a friend and the food was great! I got a chicken pasta bowl and it was so good. I will say a regular size bowl gives one person more than enough food! I also love the decor inside the restaurant. Very sleek, calming and modern. Will definitely be coming again.

The salad is made in front of you and you can add extras. It was an off time so had bad service. I mentioned it, and my meal was comped. I imagine the sandwiches or pasta would get a higher rating; they looked delicious. The decor is fun!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
