Everything was fantastic. The food. The service. The decor. All fantastic. This restaurant gets five stars and it earned each one. The one thing I didn't like was the little bowls for the syrup had no spout so there is no way to pour syrup without getting it everywhere. Easily fixed with a a minor change to the serving dishes.

Typically, the food is really good. We've had the occasional off day with seemingly random issues (I.e. ordered 2 steaks the same way, one was great the other was awful). My issue here is the portion sizes are WAY to big. We don't go unless we can agree on something to share because it ends up being a waste to bring half the meal home (not big leftover fans). Even the big boys agree it's too much. The fresh OJ is a big plus. Oh, the green eggs and ham kids meal is super cute :)

In town for a family wedding, and needed for before we could make the drive back to Chicago. This little place is in your average strip mall, but has a really nice vibe to it! Obviously of newer construction, light, open, and all the staff are smiling - what a great way to start the morning! Food is delicious and the presentation was very nice. The over medium eggs were actually over medium! Great tasting coffee and they squeeze their OJ fresh.
(5)Joe B.
The food is pretty good here, but I really hate the acoustics. When busy it's difficult to carry on a conversation. For that reason we don't come here too often. Maybe twice a year.

In the words of Fat Boy Slim, "I've got to praise you like I should." That would be you Eggsclusive. Who would have thought that such an elegant, hipster, foodie destination would have neighbors named Little Caesars and Chick'N Shack? But Eggsclusive does. I ordered the 5 egg Asparagus omelette with Gruyere cheese and a hollandaise sauce. Oh. My. Yes, and yes. There was ample asparagus bits in there and the amount of hollandaise sauce they used was PERFECT I had some sauce in every bite. I opted for pancakes with my dish and I'm glad I did. They dust powdered sugar on top and you'll find their logo on your pancake (nice touch.) I ordered the orange juice and if your like me sometimes you just opt for water because it doesn't cost you anything, GET THE JUiCE!!! You want it, trust me. They use a Zumm machine so it is fresh squeezed. Our food came out lightning fast even though the place was packed and hoppin'. And two of the owners greeted us during our food rendezvous and asked how everything was. Very decent!! I will definitely make this a go to place.

Favorite brunch. We drive 75 minutes for it. Well worth it. Great selection of amazing breakfast dishes. Fresh squeezed OJ is awesome.

Eggsclusive cafe certainly lived up to their Yelp hype. The food was delicious, the service was good even though they were packed, but holy crap it's loud in there! I love going out for breakfast. We end up checking out some new restaurants for breakfast in the burbs fairly often. This may have been the best breakfast I've had in a very long time. I had the fig, bacon, and havarti omelette. Not only was it amazing but it's given me some serious recipe inspiration (fig & prosciutto risotto anyone? Sorry, back to EC...). I had the EC potatoes instead of hashbrowns which were essentially small square french fries, and that's a good thing. They didn't seem to be seasoned at all which is nice, just a perfectly cooked potato. The service was really good, our waitress was very attentive even though she was very busy. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars? It was so loud I could barely hear the server. She was literally losing her voice. It's possible she was out late screaming at a rock concert the night before, but I honestly believe she lost her voice trying to scream over the loud music and people trying to talk over the loud music (it's a vicious cycle). I'm kinda bummed EC is all the way out in Sycamore. I'd like to try more of their dishes and I'd love to have some coffee with rumchata in it...but not when I'm driving around suburbia.

I heard many good things about this place before I finally visited last fall, so expectations were high, and they definitely did not disappoint. My only selfish complaint is that they're out of the way from the NIU campus so it's hard to get over there during a narrow window of time, or I'd probably be there all the time! The menu is fantastic, so many interesting and inventive choices. The service is attentive and professional. The portions are generous. The food is tasty and well-seasoned. So far my favorite has been an omelet that had chicken sausage and spinach in it, but I'm also a big fan of their skillets. I tried someone's banana bread french toast one time and it was fantastic as well. The prices probably are a little higher than an average breakfast place, but I find it hard to complain for the quality of the food.

I have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it very much. The food and atmosphere are both extraordinary. Unfortunately, myself, as well as another family member, got mild food poisoning after eating a meal here over the weekend. The food itself tasted great, but the kitchen staff should try as much as possible to ensure that the food they are preparing, as well as the environment it is being prepared in, is sanitary or safe to consume.
(1)Eddie S.
This place is great! The spot to go for breakfast. Decent prices, huge portions! I came hungry and ordered the not so garden omelette. I could only finish a quarter of it after my giant pancakes. My leftovers was enough for 2 more meals! You will not be dissappointed .
(5)Natalie S.
Best cinnamon french toast with their own cinnamon butter..melts in your mouth..service is quick due to the iPod touches replacing the pen paper method. Everything tastes fresh and nothing tastes like it's in pan grease. Absolutely love this place and the staff!
(4)L R.
I love this place. The servers are always spot on, and the food is some of the freshest, and best in town. I REALLY wish that they would offer more vegetarian options. Since they made more of a brunch menu it seems some of the veggie options left with it, and that's a bummer. I think this place could be perfect if they had an extra veggie option or two that wasn't pancakes or waffles. It is difficult being a vegetarian in a smallish town, and I would definitely come here more if I had more options on the menu. I love the Red Quinoa Black bean burger! More of that please!
(4)Jon B.
Love this place. Great atmosphere, very polite servers, and amazing food. If you do not eat a lot at a time, i would recommend splitting a dish depending on what you order. (Omelettes, skillets) We had lots of leftovers. Prices are on the higher end, but fair and worth it. Their orange juice is excellent, but is pretty spendy. Can't wait to go back!
(5)Mike P.
Awesome food, portions were pretty large. One of the only places around with great wraps. Cool atmosphere which my girlfriend and I enjoyed! Will definitely be going back there again!
(5)Felecia Y.
We absolutely love this place and thank you Denise for bringing back the baked potato skillet! Yum! Great atmosphere. The breakfast is Awesome and the lunch is nothing less than Spectacular! Salads are huge and the wraps are good as well. My only complaint is how many plates that come out with 1 order. I had an omelet that came with potatoes and pancakes. Each item had a separate plate and with 3 people at the table it gets a little crowed. Otherwise I love this place.

Words cannot even begin to describe the greatness of this restaurant. However, I will try my best to do just that. Eggsclusive Cafe is an elegant, yet laid back, atmosphere that is warm and always inviting. The owners and the staff are always smiling and greeting you with a friendly hello and will do everything possible to make you comfortable and accomodate your needs. Next comes the food. EC has got to be the freshest restaurant I have ever been to. Whether it be the the ingredients in their menu items, including their freshly squeezed orange juice, which is a gift from heaven, or their ability to try new creative ideas and dishes that customers love and suggest. They are second to none! Their food itself is simply incredible. Bring your appetite because they have HUGE portions at reasonable prices. You really feel the heart and soul put into every dish they make. Lastly, you must try their homemade strawberry jam, it is delicious! So if you are in the area, do not even think about going anywhere else. In fact, even if you arent in the area, find your way out to Eggsclusive Cafe. You will NOT be disappointed.
(5)Michael K.
I have to say this place is great. Plentiful portions and the environment is delightful!!! I have breakfast here any chance I can get, and their other locations in the Rockford area are just as wonderful too. I promise you will not be disappointed here.
(5)Samantha K.
Great place to go for breakfast. The food is fresh and the portions are very generous. We've always had excellent service. On our last visit, we were with my 2.5 year old nephew. The waiter brought our nephew's food out as soon as it was done to help alleviate his restlessness. I've tried several of their dishes and none disappoint. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend going.
(5)Kara H.
I've been to Eggsclusive several times since moving to the area, and my boyfriend and I are absolutely hooked. We've been to cafes before where the food is good only on certain days or if the weather is just right-not the case here. The food is always spectacular, the service always fast and courteous, despite the restaurant constantly being packed. The staff even recognizes us and greets us when we come in. If you're looking for a fantastic cafe where the food is amazing and the staff is like family, look no further than Eggsclusive.
(5)Stevie F.
Atmosphere very nice and clean, staff very attentive, nice and clean. Food was phenomenal and if we didn't live 6 hours away from here, it would be an every weekend required stop! Highly recommend this place anyone needing a fresh, large breakfast! Orange juice is fresh squeezed, a must!
(5)Steve S.
This is the best breakfast place I think I've ever been too. Their prices seemed a bit high when I first looked at the menu, but then once the food came and I realized the quality and large portion sizes, I was blown away. They have so many unique and fun breakfast items to choose from it's just awesome. And the staff was incredibly friendly plus we got seated in 5 minutes even though it was really crowded. Just can't say enough good things about this place. I got the eggs benedict and my girlfriend got the traditional with pancakes. Their pancakes are like crack...seriously. The best.
(5)Anthony S.
Took my Mom here for breakfast. What a great place! The service was fantastic and very attentive. Her coffee cup never hit empty and they brought out a carafe of water for me. My Mom also had their orange juice, which she really liked and kept trying to get me to order. I ordered the cherrywood smoked lox and my Mom had the Irish Oatmeal. I'm allergic to melons and pineapple, but the waiter said he would gladly bring me out strawberries and grapes for my side. The lox was beautiful in taste and presentation. My fruit sides were delicious and fresh. The oatmeal serving was HUGE and came with fresh strawberries, bananas, and a generous serving of brown sugar and cream. Everything was tasty and not a single complaint was to be had. My Mom said it reminded her of eating out in downtown Chicago. I have to agree, this is not something you'd expect to find out in Sycamore. We both traveled around 45min to meet here and will continue to do so. My new favorite spot for breakfast! Looking forward to their Rockford location opening.
(5)Chris B.
We drive 45 minutes out of our way to go here after church. High quality food. Great wait staff. Clean, modern atmosphere. Friendly owner checks on everyone to ensure people are happy. Outstanding experience each time we go. Our favorites are the asparagus and gruyere omelette, potatoes, fresh squeezed oj, (perfectly cooked) poached eggs, crispy bacon, fresh fruit, and their homemade jam.
(5)Casey M.
I don't think I could ever have a complaint towards this restaurant. The brothers who own the place are very personable and friendly. On Mother's Day, they were giving out roses to all if the mothers. It was really sweet! The atmosphere is great and comfortable. Also kid friendly, just don't have the little ones running around. The food is spectacular. The skillets are to die for and it's a MUST to get a mimosa! When I first moved out here last year, it was the first breakfast joint I tried. Since then I've always come back.
(5)Laurence K.
We came on a sat morning the place wa busy we sat down right away and looks like a good menu I ordered wheat pancakes with bacon in them Jim had buttermilk pancakes I opted for the homemade strawberry jam and Aldo a well done order of breakfast potatoes My bacon was perfectly crisp my pancakes were good they had a bit of consuming going on and the strawberry preserved were tasty The potatoes were crispy and quit good too All in all a really good breakfast place next time I'm trying the bacon waffle!
(4)John D.
Perfect breakfast and brunch experience. We've never been let down by this eatery. They love what they do and it shows. Sweet to savory are covered with every thing in between.
(5)Marianella P.
Definitely the best place for breakfast in all the Chicago area!! Its a must in Dekalb! I've been here several times as I live in Dekalb and I love it every single time! All my friends and family that I have introduced to this place have come several times more on their own. My favorite: the southern special omelette! If you like spicy, not a lot but just enough this omelette is just for you! Portions are huge so you can share with someone, say that when you order and they serve it like that and each plate looks like an actual portion! If you are not in the mood to share Im sure you will get a box to go! Fresh orange juice, great variety with every option you see really good and awesome service! Im about to leave Dekalb and I this place is sure one of the things I will miss the most!
(5)Aj M.
Great place to get brunch. The servings are ample, so is the selection. I actually like their coffee, unlike many restaurants. The only reason that I give it 4 stars is because it is a little pricy. Also, there is often a shortage of parking out front on Sundays, so I would recommend timing your visits accordingly. These guys pay a lot of attention to detail, and it shows in the quality of their food, and the friendliness of their service.
(4)Nichole W.
This place is awesome. My parents are regulars here and now I can see why. We had a group of 11 (including 2 highchairs) this morning. They were able to get us in quickly. Our server was wonderful. He was very attentive and remembered everyone's orders, even after we moved seats. Now for the food...I ordered a Mexicana skillet. Although it was not as spicy as I was hoping for, it was still really good. My brother had a loaded potato skillet that I was able to try. That, too, was awesome. Each of us ordered something different and everything was absolutely delicious. The Nutella crepes were a show stopper at the table. Did I mention fresh squeezed orange juice? Go. Right now. And eat the best breakfast outside of Chicago.
(5)Nick B.
Very good atmosphere, excellent food and great service. I have yet to be disappointed coming here. The giant windows having blinds on them most certainly helps with the temperature (used to not have them). Only complaint I have is that it is kinda far away from everything else. I know that can't really be helped but I would almost say it's worth the drive.
(4)Mark S.
Having lived in the city of Chicago, travelled and dined in NYC, New Orleans, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, and other urban metro areas known for great cuisine, Eggsclusive Cafe provides food and ambiance that is on par with great breakfast/brunch places in these cities. Our favorite spot for breakfast and brunch. Great management team too!
(5)Chris R.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed Eggclusive yet. I eat here so often and love everything I must have assumed that I had. oh well here we go... So of all the diners, chow joints, cafes and restaurants in the area Eggclusive is hands down the best place. repeat- HANDS DOWN the best. No its not a steak place, no its not a BBQ place, no its not a burger joint, no its not a hot dog stand, or any of the other places around here that try, but really don't get it done. I explain to friends that have't been here that Eggclusive is a great, Breakfast, Brunch & Lunch restaurant. The quality of the ingredients and the consist quality of the entrees is one of the things that makes this place so great. I defy you to have a bad meal here. The service is another constant. I can tell you that over the many times I have gone here, be it for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch, the service is always top notch. I have never once been ignored for anything. The wait and bus staff are on top of this place! I defy you to go more than 2 minutes without a coffee, or soda refill. The last thing I will say is that over the many times I've gone, I've gotten to know the owners a little bit, and you can tell that they truly care about their crew, the food they serve, and the guests - people like you and I. They want to hear if something wasn't all that great, so that they can fix it, and maintain that high level of quality. If you haven't gone here, and are looking for a place to go... go here. Don't wait.... go, go now. Stop reading and go!
(5)Hamad A.
When in Dekalb or sycamore this place is a most for breakfast or brunch. Every thing in the menu is great, and the service is amazing! i found this place just by driving, and stopped by and have been there at least once a week! I moved out of dekalb, and every time i go back to dekalb i make sure to stop by!
(5)Crystal H.
Not only is the food outstanding, the waitstaff must all come from a modeling agency!
(5)E R.
My family and I went for breakfast on Easter Sunday. At first, I was really nervous that there would be a long wait. NOPE, we were seated in about 3 minutes. The food was amazing, very large portions and the mimosas as well as the bloody Mary's were delicious!!!! Our server was attentive and friendly and the overall ambiance of the place was great for a family. We will definitely be going back when we are in the area and WILL FOR SURE recommend to others!!!
(5)Kevin W.
Consistently great food, service and environment. Enjoy a meal here and you'll be stuffed for the full day. Always look forward to coming here and our kids always get excited when we say this is where we're headed.
(5)Gustavo G.
Diamond in the rough. Beautiful interior. Cheap flatware :-/ Had the corned beef benedict. Corned beef was great and the eggs were cooked perfect. The hollandaise sauce was spectacular. This place was great but the server's timing was off a bit. Waited long for coffee refills and a crazy amount of time for the check. Not the end of the world and definitely won't keep me from coming back. You should definitely check this place out for breakfast. Probably the best in the area. FOOD: A SERVICE: C AMBIANCE: A
(4)Eric B.
Probably the best pancakes I have ever had. From anywhere. In my life. Light and fluffy, but not too much so, and just a little sweet. And the Sailorman Crepes are pretty dang delicious, too.
(5)Zachariah J.
I love eggsclusive cafe. It is my favorite breakfast place to eat in the NIU area. You literally cannot go wrong with any menu item. My favorite is the butcher Benedict, absolutely to die for especially after a rough night of partying :). Awesome portions, great atmosphere and friendly service with a smile. As I have graduated from NIU two years ago I wish they had one in chicago!
(5)Kelsey H.
Best breakfast place on the planet, hands down. When they tell you there is a wait at the door, I promise you it's worth it and usually isn't as long as they say. Amazing vegetarian options including a vegetarian skillet. Freshly squeezed orange juice that is juiced in a machine right int he main eating area. Portions are huge and come with homemade strawberry jam and adorable pancakes with powder sugar in the shape of the EC logo. Prices are reasonable considering all the food you get. Run, do not walk, to this place.
(5)Liz W.
I am in love with the Mexicana skillet, I have to get it nearly every time I come here. Strawberry orange juice is super yummy. It's a treat every time I come here and everyone always wants to come with. Don't forget to get a mixed drink, I miss them during my pregnancy.
(5)Cathy S.
Fantastic food. Went to breakfast while passing through. Home made strawberry jam. Fresh squeezed oj. Large servings. Staff friendly. Met the owner. Very nice. Would recommend.
(5)Mason G.
Great food. Great service. Great prices. The only complaint I can give is that after eating there, no other breakfast place is good enough anymore. It's become a ritual on any free morning. Never ordered a bad meal.
(5)Kristine M.
This is by far, the best restaurant in the DeKalb Sycamore IL area. The food is outstanding, the service great and the owners are there often enough to make sure that everything is top notch. The portions are HUGE so be prepared to eat a lot, take home left overs or share with friend. My favorite is their skillet with crispy hash browns, ham, mushrooms and cheese. Yum! Oh, and their pancakes, about as close to grandmom's as possible! The atmosphere is very open and makes you feel like you're eating on a patio in San Diego instead of in the winter in Chicagoland. Do I recommend this place -- absolutely! Can't say enough good things about it! :)
(5)Pam C.
Extensive menu, high quality food with generous portions, and great service! The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating is because it was extremely noisy ... high ceilings and no acoustics to buffer the sound. And it wasn't even very crowded! Had difficulty hearing the server as well as each of our meal companions!! Need to add sound absorbers!!
(4)Marge B.
Great restaurant! Wonderful food and service! Will become regulars! The menu choices are excellent! It was hard to choose. Selected Irish oatmeal, fresh fruit. I was thrilled. The oatmeal was served with fresh strawberries and bananas. Yum! The orange juice was wonderful, freshly squeezed and the coffee terrific and refilled often. Oh and can't forget the homemade strawberry jam. I had to take my large side of fruit home to enjoy later! My son ordered the lox and bagel platter. It looked wonderful and he said it was wonderful! Can't wait to go back! C
(5)Mark S.
Love this place! Great food, service, and decor! The owners are all hands on guys, & so genuinely concerned that you have a superb dining experience. They go out of their way to ensure your happy with your meal, and treat the customer like gold! The food is exquisite, and bountiful, so much so, that you'll almost always need a take home box. GREAT JOB!!!
(5)Erik D.
My partner and I stopped by to check out this place when we were in town briefly. GREAT food, GREAT service. We wish they'd open a location in Minneapolis! They would make a mint. My partner got a breakfast sandwich that was really tasty (he gave me ONE bite) and I, having worked out that morning, got the steak and eggs breakfast, also delicious. We were both impressed by the "side" of fruit -- really fresh fruit, and very ripe and delicious. Their orange juice comes from an orange-squeezing machine that you can watch doing its thing over on one side of the room. So of course I got orange juice and it was fantastic. My rye toast came with a side of strawberry jam that was amazingly strawberry-y. I usually kind of ignore the toast, but I couldn't stop myself from eating all of it as a means to use that strawberry jam. My partner liked the place so much that he went back the very next morning for breakfast to try the crab-cakes benedict. And he doesn't even like poached eggs! And he loved it! The decor is understated but pleasant, with mostly-indirect lighting (nice) and light coming through the big windows. It's not a fancy dress-up sort of place (not a tablecloth kind of meal) but it is great for a breakfast or lunch (and it's only actually open for breakfast and lunch). We had no problem finding a parking spot but the place was busy, with good reason. The servers were attentive in checking on us and filling up water glasses and so on. When we get back in town we will definitely be back to Eggsclusive Cafe.
(5)Josh G.
This is probably the best breakfast place you are gonna find for MILES in this area. Food: The portions are HUGE, and the food is good! The prices are reasonable. Service: The service is excellent. Shame on me for forgetting our servers name, but he was great. We had two kiddos with us, and they do great with kids; it is definitely family friendly.
(5)R I C K Y B O B B Y.
LOVE this place! Owners are some of the nicest guys I have met and are always welcoming my family and I each time we visit. Then, checking on us to make sure everything is up to our standards while we are there. Servers are always polite and pleasant to deal with. Food is excellent! My personal favorite is the Aspen Benedict (check out the photo). I will be visiting this place, without hesitation, as long as they are open. And I have no problems recommending it to family and friends.
(5)Dayana R.
Go go go great big portions, fresh squeeze OJ, more of a variety that just eggs and pancakes.
(3)Ross L.
If I'm in town on a Sunday morning I know what my breakfast plans are. This place has the best breakfast in town. It would be nice if they had cappuccino though.
(4)Janis K.
This was an amazing place...can not say enough good and positive things about this restaurant. The service was exceptional, food was ordered and delivered in under 10 minutes on a packed Sunday morning. Wonderful and flavorful meal...the food was outstanding! ! We will visit again!!
(5)Sonic R.
Eggsclusive generally has decent food, and they are very generous with their portions. But for what you are getting, it's quite pricy. You can get a similar omelette or pancakes at the Parkway in Sycamore for much cheaper, just not as "artfully presented." The servers here are not like servers at other local places. They are polite to the point of being simpering. They really seem to have a problem with keeping coffee coming. It's like they don't want to offend you by asking if you want a warm-up. One thing that drives me bonkers is their background music. I think they have one CD that's constantly on repeat, and it's some sort of pan-flute thing that is mellow to the point of obnoxiousness. Also, the guys who ring you up at the end (I assume these to be the owners) never fail to try to engage you in a conversation about your day - "Whatcha doing today?" I get that they're trying to be friendly, but this just feels really nosy. Just let me pay my bill. Also, it was kind of a tease for them to commit to a new location in DeKalb and then pull out the way they did.
(3)Joe E.
Go here if you want a good breakfast in DeKalb/Sycamore. You won't be disappointed. Great Decor... viewing the pictures, I wish I would have gone around Christmas time!
(4)Michael D.
I love this place so much. I know there is no better place to go for breakfast than Eggsclusive. The staff is super friendly, the food is incredible, and you get sooo much! Definitely a must go to and you will surely love anything you try, especially considering everything is so fresh and well made.
(5)Nate S.
Best breakfast and brunch establishment in Dekalb county! Friendly, attentive service and amazing food. Casual, modern ambiance and generous food portions. The fresh squeezed OJ is a must have any time of day. I wish there was a 6th star because they've earned it!
(5)Josh F.
Excellent service, food and a beautiful restaurant. I love the orange onyx and the minimalist decoration. The owner was there and very personable and cool. I highly recommend this place for an egg-cellent breakfast or brunch experience
(4)Drea D.
This is definitely my favorite place for breakfast. The food is always fresh with generous portions--consider splitting their gigantic omelets and be sure to try the fresh squeezed orange juice. In addition, the employees are extremely courteous and the owners truly care about each customer's experience. I always feel welcomed and The owners remember who I am. The menu is extensive, so it might be wise to look ahead if you're in a hurry, but be assured that every dish is delicious. To accompany my meal, I often choose a drink from the bar--splurge on a mimosa with fresh orange juice. Trust me. It's worth it. As far as menu items, I'm a big fan of the skillets, omelets, and sailor crepes. The pancakes and oatmeal are also amazing. Be prepared for a short wait because there's a reason everyone chooses to come here for breakfast and lunch. I'm always willing to wait here no matter how hungry I am!
(5)Shayla C.
On a road trip in Northern Illinois and wanted breakfast. After some trouble finding this due to poor signage, the hunt as worth it. Actually had to call for directions but they were patient and right on with the directions. The hunt was well worth the effort, since the place was a gem. I had their Friday special: eggs Benedict and fruit with choice of a mimosa, Bellini or Bloody Mary. Can't ever go wrong with this breakfast, perfectly cooked, delightfully presented with a scrumptious mimosa. My husband had ham and eggs, as usual, but this was far from ordinary. Once again perfectly cooked with great ham off the bone and toast with homemade strawberry jam. Good coffee and attentive service made this five star for breakfast. One of the best parts is they will be opening an additional location in Cherry Valley only about a mile from us. Can hardly wait!!
(5)Rebecca R.
Giving Eggsclusive a 5 because it's probably the best place in the area for breakfast food and is the most trendy. I come here quite often and am a fan of their omelettes. The portions are huge and the omelettes are really fluffy! My favorites are the Fresca Italiana and the Mediterranean. You must get the freshly squeezed orange juice. It will knock your socks off! The owner is very nice. I believe his name is Matt. He is very approachable, easy to talk to and he seems passionate about the place because he's always there helping out which I like to see. Only downside is the service. Not that its bad service (because it's not) but the waiters can be a bit short and don't really have a menu wrap. I used to serve at a restaurant where they encouraged us to talk up the food (What are your favorite dishes? Tell me about the highlights of the menu, etc..) not just simply say, "Are you ready to order?" Maybe I'm hard to please on this point because of my background. :) If they could nail this then it'd really be all around fantastic!
(5)Laura S.
Delicious food! Friendly, quick service! Owners are great! Try the Señor Bond...yum!!! This is the best breakfast place in Illinois!
(5)Jon C.
Eggsclusive is head and shoulders above what little competition they have in the area. A diverse menu and huge portions with a great quality of food and servers has proved to be a winning combination. If you have never eaten here, it is very much worth the trip. My favorites include the Señor Bond breakfast burrito and the Firecracker wrap for lunch.
(5)Heather R.
The food is delicious and come in huge portions! Customer service and atmosphere is high class!
(5)LKB M.
Wonderful service and menu. The benedicts are many and all very tasty. Highly recommend you come and enjoy the ambiance and 30 something crowd.
(5)Melissa N.
I go here often for brunch with my family. Love the atmosphere, food and pricing. We have tried almost everything on the menu and love it all. My favorites are the Puno Kasera!

Eggsclusive is a great place to go - I first went here a few years ago and then today -- it's all the same. Highlights are the orange juice and the toast. The orange juice is fresh-squeezed and the toast is fresh-baked bread. The portions are pretty big but the quality is excellent - nothing has changed since the last time I was there.

0 stars this restaurant had a nice decor but that was pretty much it. Tacky brushed aluminum sign should have given it away with the claimed "owners" antics. He did not describe, nor did his server what was in the southern special omelet. I do not eat pork and it is against my dietary health restrictions, not to mention against my religion. I asked if there was any bacon in this item because i could not eat it, the server said there was not. After eating the item I discovered there was something in it I asked if there was pork to another waiter he said it had chirion with onions. I had never seen the word before. After calling this to the attention of the server the "owner" came over and stated it's the customers due deligence and responsibility to ask what the item was, as well as "I should have taken my phone out and googled it". He also charged our bill even after I had asked them to take it back. I ordered (3) of these since we had a table of 9 people and he wanted me to pay for all (3) regardless of sending them back. In fact two of them didn't even come out of the kitchen to our tables. He argued with me in front of my family and other customers telling me "I was wrong and asked his server repeatedly during our conversation to get our check. I asked him what kind of establishment this was he said" I was taking food out of his kids mouths" he also said that he had spent "1 million dollars on the place and that's what made him the owner" I was quite surprised I myself own business and know the customer comes first and is always right. This guy is ridiculous and should be shut down. By the way, he purchases his Facebook likes, his yelp reviews and four square reviews. Don't be fooled by this hustler! He also hires a bunch of girls to boost his ego who don't do anything at the restaurant other than fill up salt/pepper shakers and walk around in skimpy outfits. Not sure who funded this guy and who his investors are but they are going to be very upset with how this guy runs their business down the drain.

Hands down the best breakfast place in DeKalb/Sycamore. My family from out of town always picks this place when I ask where they'd like to go. Really nice, comfortable interior and friendly, professional staff. The food itself is really good and the portions are plenty. I have had pancakes, a skillet, and an omelete there and really like them all. I have been there only on weekends and while it has always been busy I have never had only had to wait for a seat once and that was only for a few minutes. Never had lunch but look forward to trying it sometime.

Fantastic local place that serves both breakfast and lunch. The food is good and plentiful; leftovers are almost guaranteed. Most every breakfast meal comes with pancakes or toast, hash browns or Eggsclusive potatoes, and a large main dish (5-egg omelets, for example). Very similar to Egg Haven, but with a more modern, loft-style feel (high ceilings, exposed duct work, lots of windows). They get an extra star over Egg Haven because of the enhanced level of creativity/artistry in both the dishes themselves and in their plating, which takes the whole experience just a notch above. They also have a few unique dishes, such as a wonderful banana Nutella crepe, a good selection of paninis, and a Fresca Italiana omelet that perfectly blends avocado, sun-dried tomato, basil, and provolone into a melty, orgasmy tap dance of flavor. Yeah, it's that good. I recently tried the ever popular Egg Harbor--Geneva is the closest one that I know of--and was actually disappointed. It pales in comparison to Egg Haven on all fronts: there is less food for equal or more money, the options aren't as creative and flavorful, and the potatoes are lame in comparison. Friendly, prompt staff round out the experience. This place may be a bit of a drive for most people--as it is out in bufu Sycamore--but it is well worth it. Five stars.

This is now the standard for weekend breakfast in DeKalb & Sycamore. I will usually get one of the delicious frittatas and always have some left over for a later meal.

Probably the best place in DeKalb county hands-down. The place is large and can accommodate many customers. The restaurant is very nice. It reminds me of a classy hotel dinning area. The decor is up to date and everything is CLEAN. If only other restaurants nearby could take notice. This place has a lot of staff members and I love that they are never just standing around (I think I've only had bad service once) they notice when your coffee is low and are always friendly. The breakfast is fantastic and the portions are huge. I've noticed that some of the lunch options are a little bland but you can always add salt later. I wish they were open a separate plac for dinner!!

I love this place so much I took the time to add it to Yelp. Eggsclusive Cafe is hands-down the best breakfast place I've ever visited. Mind you, I lived in Evanston, the "dining capital of the North Shore," and nothing there even comes close to Eggsclusive in unassuming Sycamore, IL. The place serves up delicious breakfast, brunch, or lunch. So far I haven't ventured to the lunch side of things because breakfast just looks so good. I've had the eggs benedict and a feta/spinach breakfast sandwich. Both yummy. Everything is fresh, down to the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The service is impeccable. The prices are reasonable. This will become your new favorite!

Nicely adorned dining room. Clean, open, and bright makes for high expectations. However, the food leaves much to be desired. Ordered the Irish eggs Benedict. Basically, it was Benedict with corned beef hash instead of Canadian bacon. The eggs were the only fresh part lf my meal, mostly because someone has yet to figure out how to can or freeze poached eggs. The hollandaise was tart and loaded with preservatives. Corned beef hash came out of a can. the potatoes were frozen and refried. Waitstaff was rushed but friendly. might return for lunch but am not expecting anything special. UPDATE: I gave Eggsclusive another shot the other day, and although my experience improved, it was only slight. The fact of the matter is that you have to be careful what you order. There is a lot of canned and frozen food here, so err on the side of something that must be prepped fresh. This time I ordered the biscuits and gravy with two over-easy eggs. The eggs were over-hard. The waitress was very polite in returning the dish for the properly cooked eggs. They got it right the second time. The gravy was creamy with a hint of pepper and seasoned well with the sausage. The biscuits were average. Unlike my last visit, I was not rushed by the waitstaff. The waitress noticed that I was reading throughout the meal, and was very polite throughout my experience. Furthermore, I was never rushed to finish my meal so as to turn-over the table, unlike my last visit. All in all, the experience was average, but much improved from last time.

This is my favorite breakfast/lunch place, hands down. The owners are great guys to talk to, the wait staff is always pleasant and smiling, it's super clean, environment is the best, and there's always salsa music playing, but never too loud. Fresh squeezed OJ (there's a squeezing machine right there), the benedicts are awesome (I've had them all twice over), the omlettes are huge (5-egg), pretty much everything I've ever ordered there has come out fast, hot, and perfect.. If you can help it, don't go around noon, as it's mobbed. I usually hit it either around 9, or more regularly around 1 (after the church crowds clear out).

Four Words: Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. Anything you order here will be delicious, and the portion size will have you salivating over your future leftovers. Try the red cabbage side salad...just try it. There are so many unique menu items here, that your taste buds won't know whether to go sweet or savory. The owners are very friendly and always remember the customer first, the waitstaff works their hardest to deliver everything you need and offering to refill your drinks before you even ask. This is a great place to invest your breakfast or lunch time at.

Im a woman of my word I told the manager I had something to yelp about. But its only because they deserved it. haha I was visiting my sister in Dekalb for NIUs Home Coming and Sunday morning I came here with some friends....It was busy but the wait wasn't long at all. The staff was Super friendly and punctual. It took a few minutes for the food to come but it was busy and it was 7 of us eating. The time went by with conversation and the nice music playing. A great touch to liven up the atmosphere. When the food came my mouth dropped it was sooooooo much.... I ordered the Denver omelet and it came with 2 large pancakes (see photos) I was like i don't think i'l be able to eat all of this...surly enough i didn't but I sure put a good dent in it. It was delicious and well worth the price. DEFIANTLY A PLACE TO GO EAT!!!!

Jill and I had been to Eggsclusive Cafe' ( eggsclusivecafe.com though the website seems to NOT be to exclusive to Eggsclusive Cafe) in Sycamore together twice before and, since we had returned this past Sunday, we had enjoyed the previous visits. She had been there several other times with other friends also. We had usually gone at times when they weren't as busy as this time. When we arrived this time we were seated and immediately brought water and menus. After that we waited for quite some time before a waitress finally arrived at our table. I think there must have been some mix-up as to whose table we were. We also had problems getting refills of water later in the meal. Jill ordered the Caprese Panini with cole slaw and I had the Blackened Tuna Steak Wrap and cole slaw with blueberry pomegranate iced tea. My wrap was impossible to eat as a wrap so I asked the waitress for vinaigrette dressing and ate it as a salad. The wrap itself was romaine lettuce leaves. The menu said it was "wrapped in romaine lettuce leaves" but when it arrived the salad "filling" was buried beneath the two lettuce leaves (wraps). Jill's Caprese Panini was very good and I will probably try to re-create it on the grill. I wish I had reviewed Eggsclusive one of the previous times I had been there but I am new at this so I wasn't doing reviews back then. I think we will still go back there as they have a very nice atmosphere and an extensive menu of interesting and unique selections. They have great breakfasts with fresh squeezed orange juice and the two previous times I had been there I had the Caprese Salad which was fantastic. I knew I was writing a review this time so I wanted to try something different so I could talk about more than one dish. We will go back but I am not quite as optimistic as I was prior to this last visit. They are still batting .667 as far as I am concerned so I am going to assume that we just caught them on a bad day or at a bad time. If you're looking for something different for breakfast or lunch (they close at 3:00PM every day) give them a try. They are priced kind of on the high-moderate side but you get good-sized portions and the food is pretty good. Eggsclusive is located near the corner of Route 23 and Peace Road (265 West Peace Road) in a strip mall.

Great Breakfast. Trying to be upscale, pretty hard to do out here in farm country. Omelets are huge, pancakes are awesome! Best place in DeKalb area I have been to for breakfast so far!! Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely the finest breakfast I've ever had. Very classy atmosphere, amazing wait staff, and the food and portions are simply perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone, groups large or small.

Good breakfast. The interior was very nicely done with custom sconces, soffits, and decor. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. During my first visit, I ordered the Arriba Benedict. Very flavorful.. the chorizo was good. The Puna Ksero skillet can feed three people! And the beef was very flavorful. On other visits, the food was rather cold, and they warmed it up for me. It tasted like they just popped it in the microwave. The coffee is decent. I would go back if I need a break from Egg Haven.

I've been here twice now and I was very pleased with my food both times. I had their special of yogurt with fresh fruit, granola and honey which was much better than I had expected. I also had their "Italiano Omlette" which was out of this world! Sun dried tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese... mmmm! Their potatoes really aren't anything special though and our friend ordered the "fresh squeezed orange juice" and it tasted like Tang, not sure if they add any sweetener to it but a little sub-par. The interior of the place is very inviting and comfortable. Our server was decent and the place was very clean. Prices aren't too bad either. It's definitely a better option than some of the other breakfast/lunch joints in town.

Eggsclusive is a great place. The service is outstanding. The orange juice is by far the best i've had.

Always delicious food and great service. I love that they post specials on their Facebook. Their bloody marys are delicious!!

The lunch I had of cinnamon raisin French toast with fresh bananas was so good. Great menu. Super decor, upscale and warm. Very appealing. Service good and not intrusive. Can't wait to go back.

The wife and I have lived in the area for over a year now. We've tried just about every restaurant in Dekalb and Sycamore, this is the only one we visit on a regular basis. Pros: excellent menu choices, nice atmosphere, generous portions, consistent good service, fresh squeezed OJ. Cons: can get busy on weekends, a little pricey for breakfast.

I stopped at 5 stars because that's all there was. I have not once been disappointed with their soup (I am a soup connoisseur), or with anything they serve. All of their ingredients are so fresh and wake up your tastebuds. The owners & staff are so pleasant and accomodating to all of our silly requests. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. Dine in or call for carry-out. You'll be hooked too!

This place is AWESOME! Can't be beat for breakfast; and lunch is great too. Service is always good, and portions are large. If you are going on a weekend morning, though, go early or prepare to wait. Hands down best place for breakfast in Dekalb/Sycamore!

I agree with the previous review, likely the best in the area for breakfast. Went recently for dinner, and have been for breakfast several times. Dinner: The atmosphere at this restaurant is definitely a fit for dinner service, so we took a chance. The pricing is quite high, and the portions are quite large. Had saganaki, a foccaccia burger, and grecian chicken. By and large, the food was not bad, but there were way too many options on the menu. Steak, seafood, sandwiches, specialties, pastas, burgers (not just a burger or two, another 8 options). The waiter took our orders and asked about our choice of potato, another 6 options just for that decision. The dinner menu is unfocused, and though our food was alright, there were too many sides and options to eat everything, but more importantly, to allow the kitchen to really focus on doing the main dishes well. Frozen vegetables in some cases, what seemed like instant mashed potatoes as well. Not terribly objectionable surprisingly, but highly priced and disappointing because of that. Breakfasts: Always nice. Fresh vegetables, wide selection (not as big a problem when it's combinations of breads, eggs, and add-ins), and a good mix of not only standards like a denver omelette, eggs benedict, but also some more adventurous items like Gruyère/asparagus omelettes. Breakfast is quite large, could be smaller and of a little higher quality, but the balance is already quite good and definitely in keeping with what i've come to expect from DeKalb county restaurants. Orange juice is fresh squeezed. I've had frittatas, omelettes, and eggs benedict i have enjoyed a lot, i would recommend this restaurant to most anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Sycamore or DeKalb. Service has always been good, everything is clean and well kept.

Love this place! By far one of my favorite spots for breakfast.

Absolutely amazing breakfasts. I had eggs Benedict, traditional style and one of several variations on the dish. The menu, decor, furnishings, table settings and waitstaff were equally appealing. Make sure to try them next time you're in Sycamore.

Amazing place!! My boyfriend lives in Champaign and I am from New Jersey, which has GREAT Dinners, unlike around here, but Eggsclusive has forever changed my mind about Illinois. While in Champaign my boyfriend wanted to make it up to me by taking me to the Pancake House, but not only is it too expensive, but in the past few times the service had been horrible. Therefore, when I went to Eggsclusive this weekend and had the Whole Grain Pancakes, while my boyfriend had the Mexicana Skillet, I was blown away. Not only were the prices reasonable and less expensive than New Jersey's and Champaign's overprices Pancake House, but the food was excellent and the service was superb! I totally recommend it! Also, the owner greeted us on our way out and he was very friendly and down to earth.

The few times I go out to breakfast this place is always a good option. It is the only real competition for Egg Haven in the area. The menu has lots of options, the service is always quick and pleasant, and the food is always made well. If you're int he area and want a good breakfast or brunch I recommend you try Eggsclusive. One downside is they don't have a website. If they do it's hard to find.
