Oh. Em. Gee. How did I not know this was here this whole time?! So...I'm not Polish. Let's just get that out of the way. However, a few of my close friends are, so I kind of feel like I am. Anyways, at first I thought this place was just a deli. Um, no guys. It's a grocery store, deli, bakery, and wonderful heaven of a place. You can literally get all of your grocery shopping done here. I don't know what my favorite part was. The mass amounts of meats, or the bakery with all of the freshly baked bread (that smelled amazing!!). They have all different kinds of Polish goods - from candy to kolaczkis to pierogis. You name it, they have it. And everything is really decently priced! And of course there is the barrel of, what we like to call, dirty pickles. We came, we saw, we bought, and we ate. I know we will be back!

Krystyna's which is the real name of this place, is a totally awesome polish grocery/deli. It's a local (Chicago area) chain and the deli is huge with every kind of European based meat product you could possibly be interested in, at fair prices. The sausage is the best available anywhere. The Keilbasa is perfect,the bock and wiesswurst as excellent the chicken/pork is very fresh and the blutwurst is ...........well, it's blutwurst, not much you can do with that. Every bit as good as it can be. The grocery side is a fully stocked store with everything you remember from the old country. The bread comes both from outside bakers and is baked fresh (daily, and on busy days every four hours) in store. While the meat counter has a limited selection of fish, they have a good selection of both dried and pickled fish on the shelves. There is an entire row dedicated to pickled vegetables-mainly cucumbers but also cabbage, radishes, mushrooms etc. There are two wooden drums with self serve sauerkraut and herring in the produce area. WOOT! The attached wine section in addition to a small but high quality stock also has extremely high quality vodkas and spirits, however the beer is all polish with a few domestic options. Assuming you are not interested in cooking the deli has a full range of items ready to go ranging from soups (borscht) veg and meat dishes. Just about everyone speaks polish, but everyone also speaks English as well. The only tricky part is when a line is present for the deli meats and the numbers are called out in polish. Usually they figured out that my blank look indicated that I'm not a polish speaker and compensated accordingly. Be advised that the grandmothers and grandfathers in line will dispense advice freely on your deli selections. It comes across as charming as opposed to annoying. This is a seriously wonderful European grocery.

The food is awesome here, but the shopping experience is incredibly AWFUL, especially if you are not the only customer in the store. Every time I come here, the checkout process takes 20 minutes for just 2-3 items I may be buying; it's caused me to visit Jewel [across the street] a lot more often now. Krystyna's management, please note the following: 1) You need an Express Lane... "10 Items or Less" 2) Your cashiers need to tell people who have been waiting in line for 15 minutes that THEY are next, not the person who just joined the single open lane with a full cart. This is one of the worst things about your store and the patrons are never ethical in allowing those who have waited the longest to go first. It sucks! 3) Get rid of the sushi section. This is a deli and nobody buys this stuff here. 4) Add more employees to the Hot Food Bar. This area takes forever if I'm willing to wait and waste my time.

I love this place! We are regionally from Germany and miss a lot of our usuals like "Brötchen" (bread buns) and actual bread and chocolates and some other stuff that we have been unable to find but were able to find here. Their pastry is amazingly and dangerously out of this world, great variety of things and the staff is very nice and helpful as well. Love love LOVE their half off sushi after 7pm- still tastes very good and fresh. Definitely a must stop on am the way home from a long day- not-feeling-like-cooking-day. But hurry barely any left after about 8pm.

I have been here a few times and I live this place! A big must for a large Polish Immigrant community in the the Schaumburg community. My girlfriend is Mexican and she says she lives this place as well because when she cooks, she needs vegetables and spices and they are cheap and very fresh there. Plus they are a block from my apartment. My whole family is from Poland, so I grew up with Polish beer, kielbasa, and Pierogies. Good selection and the alcohol section is unique. The alcohol has wine from countries you never heard of. Have u ever had Wine from Moldovia? Of course they do have popular wine brands as well. Zywiec.....of course they have it. No matter what your nationality is....this place is good to go too if u need fresh produce, inexpensive food, and good alcohol. Boom!

I used to shop at Krystyna deli all the time - since they change the name they become more international ...however less and less polish ....Well, i dont have problem with that . They Make sushi which was soo delicious at the begining - my last 3 sushi purchased had the final in the bathroom . Last week I bought zucchini pancakes with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes - everything would be perfect except long black hair in the melted cheese ...

This ain't your standard hole-in-the-wall Polish deli. It's a full sized supermarket WITH a liquor section. While combing the locale for a decent source of kielbasa, I came across Krystyna's and instantly fell in love. The deli section is always crowded and if the tag system is inop, get ready for mayhem. Somehow everyone stays in order, unlike the death pit at Valli's deli. Service is friendly and served with a smile from the ladies who aren't hard to look at. Check out the aisles for some unique Polish groceries. I tried an Apple Mint drink that was strangely refreshing. The liquor section is small but has a decent selection, including 90%+ alcohol spyrytus. Extensive Polish beer selection is available as well. They have prepared food and a bakery as well but I haven't had the chance to try either. The food on display looks good though. Check it out and grab some kielbasa for the grill.

My mom has been telling me about this store for a while now. I have driven past this place hundreds of times and always wanted to go in, but never have. My mom brought me some prepared chicken soup from this store. My husband and I shared it before dinner one night recently. As we were eating it, we both looked at each other and said how much we loved the soup. It was so flavorful and had beautiful pieces of chicken! When you first walk in, you will be happily surprised to find what's behind that automatic sliding door! Its a whole grocery store. I had no idea. Where has this place been?? Or better question, why have I not found this store until now? There is a complete produce area, it's not the size of Tony's, Caputo's or Valli, but it's a decent size and has everything you need! Fresh chives, grapes, potatoes, apples, oranges, peppers, onions, ginger, you name it! The pricing was excellent on their sale items. Gala apples, for example, were $.79 per pound and a 3 lb. bag of Yukon potatoes was $1.50. They do not have a meat section with packaged meat like you find at your regular grocery store, all their meat is at the meat counter and you purchase as much or little as you need. They have the basics in the poultry area...chicken breasts $2.99 per lb., whole chickens, leg quarters $.99 per lb., ground chicken $2.49 per lb. and that's about it with the poultry. The beef and pork was also pretty limited, but they have the basics. Pork, Beef and Veal meat for stew cubed up. Ground veal, pork and beef. The ground beef was $3.49 per lb., while the ground pork was $1.79 per lb. They also have a full deli with a lot of Polish items but also some American basics like Munster cheese and ham. I sampled Krystyna's Baked Ham which they sell for $6.99 per lb. and it was FANTASTIC!!! If you are looking to grab lunch or dinner, their prepared foods area is next to the deli and you can select one main dish such as cabbage rolls or breaded pork loin and one side like potato pancakes or cabbage. A meal is $5.99 for one main dish and one side. Not bad for a complete dinner. I briefly walked the aisles and found that a lot of items are European but most items have a label on the back side explaining what the item is and it's nutritional information. If I know anything, a lot of European items are better than some of our American products. For example, they have a chocolate cake mix that looks like it would be delicious! I might have to pick that up next time I visit. Speaking of cake, they have a small bakery near the back of the store across from their prepared foods area that sells PÄ…czki's, sweet rolls, small cakes and cookies. Nothing looked particularly appealing to me they day I was there, but they had plenty of options. I also found an entire section of Milka bars...I'm a big fan of Milka bars and there are a zillion kinds, and you rarely find more than a few flavors in a candy aisle but Krystyna's has almost every kind Milka makes!! I was impressed. I'm still on the hunt for a Milka bar I found in the Amsterdam airport that had milk, white and dark chocolate all in one bar and have yet to find it in America. I searched here and sadly, they did not have this one here but they had plenty of other options! You are not going to come here and get everything on your grocery list, but you can certainly check a majority of items off and trust that they are fresh from a store like this. I look forward to getting back to Krystyna's soon!!!

Best polish store in the suburbs! Especially after their big remodel you can now get all your groceries done in one place! Huge selection of fresh local produce. Great variety of warm prepared foods for those days when you don't feel like cooking dinner! They have a large alcohol aisle as well as Polish cosmetics and medicines. As for prices I would say they are fairly priced.

My mother bought $50 dollars worth of various cookies and desserts, partially for a cookout. We tasted one bite of the eclair and one bite of a tart, the cream tasted like Jello sugar-free pudding. We tasted the marble pound cake and it was bland and didn't have much flavor. Maybe the meats are good, haven't tried, but I wouldn't buy desserts again. My mother put three packages of various cookies out at the picnic and only two cookies out of all were taken. Go figure.

I love this Polish Deli & groceries store. My husbands family Love's traditional polish foods for the holidays and I can always count on getting what I need from Krystyna's. LOVE that they assume I speak Polish! My kids get a kick out of it as well. I've learned a bit of it while shopping there. They are always kind to the American speaking patrons which is a bonus as it can be a little intimidating otherwise. Looking forward to my Holiday shopping at Krystyna's. :)

My first 5 star. Simply great. I'm so glad I found this place. They have a large produce area, meat, deli, bakery, fresh bread, and more. Go ahead and sit down for some good old fashioned cooked foods. Nice to see them use wax paper for deli products. Easy access to run in and out if need to. Prices fit like a glove.

Krystyna's Deli in Schaumburg is a beautiful store. When you walk in you already feel the old European charm. It is a bigger store with good size produce, deli and bakery section. There are aisles of different products to chose from. THE PIEROGI are excellent! I guess everyone has a different taste but these are homemade, don't fall apart when you boil them and have an option of microwaving it too as they come in special packaging. The most popular choice is the Russian pierogies which are really your standard potato pierogis, little more on spicy side but nothing to crazy. I love the store and people who help me there on many occasions.

Deli counter is good with a very friendly and helpful staff. The market itself is clean and organized with many european selections stocked on the shelves. However, the dairy is overpriced and it is always a hit or miss with their produce with many of the fruit and vegetables going bad just after a few days. Nevertheless, I would recommend Krystynas above other European markets in the near by vicinity.

Pretty good selection of Polish items. Although I am Polish, I don't speak the language. Lots of the workers (and customers) speak Polish so don't be surprised if a worker asks you something in Polish instead of English. I love their bakery items!

Everything here is amazing. Homemade chicken noodle soup that is out of this world, homemade tomato noodle soup, pierogis ... All so good!! We go here weekly!

I'm in heaven! A Polish deli & supermarket where they assume you speak Polish! My grandmother would be proud. The first source of kielbasa I've ever shopped at that has 3-4 distinct types of kielbasa available not just a single generic "kielbasa," or sometimes kielbasa-like options. Picked up some of their house brand frozen pierogi too. Couldn't find a potato/onion pierogi like Grandma used to make, but I'm sure the potato and cheese is just as good. I love it. I'm totally going back, even if it is a 20 minute drive and completely out of my way.

Everywhere I went in this store they tried to speak to me in Polish. I told them what I wanted on my sandwich, they responded in Polish. I gave them the money to check out, they responded in Polish. I don't speak a word of Polish, but it didn't matter because our sandwiches were awesome. That is some high quality ham, Krystyna's Deli. Dobra szynka! (?)

First, the five star ratings seem way over the top for this place, perhaps they were paid for. While they are trying to be a cross between Jean's in the city and Valli in Hoffman; it seems they are neither Polish nor American. The hispanic staff is nice if they speak english, but the polish staff always have an edge in their attitude like they are ready to snap at any moment. I've always tried to be overly friendly to them in an effort to get a smile. Never got one. They worn me down.

Very large Polish Market with fruit, produce a bakery and large deli and meat department. They also have a large hot prepared foods section with tables so you can sit and eat your selections immediately. Lots and lots of imports from Poland make this a unique shopping experience. They also have a decent selection of Polish liquor's.

Stopped in here for the first time after yoga down a few doors to buy some scallions. Very Clean and fresh produce at great prices. The place smelled amazing from their hot dinner bar $5.99. Tons of freshly baked goods. Lots of bread options. I took one star off for their relatively small meat/fish section, but I understand they're working with a limited space.

Being half polish and visiting my grandparents there when I was young this is by far some of the best kialbasa and polish delicacies I have had around Chicago. I travel here once a week with my mother just to get polish sausage. The deli counter has everything and they carry a wide range of every polish grocery item! Beware though the deli counter is usually crowded.
