Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This place is a total ripoff. I ordered a pizza and the girl tells me it's $14.50 and asks if I want to add a tip. I add $3.00 tip and she tells me they are charging my card a total of $17.50. When it arrives the bill is $21.50. I call and asked the owner and he says you don't expect us to deliver it for free do you. THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF don't waste your money there are better pizza places that don't hide charges on your bill . I HAVE A RECIEPT FOR $21.50 BUT THEY CHARGED MY CARD $23.49...THIEVES !!!

We just ordered some pizza. As soon as we opened the box we knew something was not right. We then tasted it and it is not good! We called and sure enough, they got new owners. The sauce and crust are terrible. It left the worst taste in my mouth, literally. It used to be our favorite pizza place and now we will never order from them again. So disappointed.

This is the only place we get pizza from and we have been in Rockford our whole lives. Great deep dish pizza...sauce is sweet...service is friendly...owner is considerate and involved. Can't go wrong with the best pizza in town!!!

The new owners/management have drastically lowered the quality and taste of their food. They used to be our favorite. Now we will never order again.

We were staying at the Radisson nearby and ordered pizza, breadsticks and a calzone after a wedding. The calzone was huge, the pizza and breadsticks were surprisingly good. Delivery was prompt. If I lived around here I would order it again for sure. Rockford, I tip my hat to you.

Hands down the best pizza in Rockford, and possibly the best I have had in 10 years. They also have amazing pasta, sandwiches and apps. Decor is nothing fancy but food is AMAZING.

Great pizza! I love the deep dish pizza! It keeps the small local business name alive in Rockford! Nicely done. I will go back often.

I love Mancuo's. The pizza might be the best you can have delivered around here. The other items- spaghetti, chicken parmigiana, etc. have always been great. I am not a huge fan of Italian but this is the one place I will order in from.

Mancuso's is a "no frills" establishment. Instead of wasting money on unnecessary decor, they have spent the time and effort into great food. We have been there three times so far and I have tried and loved two different types of sandwiches and pizza. The first times I went, I had the fried chicken sandwich which is served on what I believe is a made in store hoagie roll and comes with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions and mayonnaise. The chicken breast fillet was golden brown and delicious. The next time we went I had the ribeye steak sandwich, which I was skeptical of, because I have had very bad luck with those all over Rockford. I was pleasantly surprised, it was very tender, and *Gasp* seasoned and flavorful, something no one else in Rockford seems to know how to do. The sandwich also came with literally a pound of french fries. We've also had the pizza at Mancuso's and it is also very good. If it's great food and service in a cozy setting you are after, you should definitely give Mancuso's a try.

The food at this establishment is a lot better than the Harrison store, but that seems the trend when you have a better cook. The pizza is actually really good here and I've enjoyed quite a bit of the menu. I can definitely say I'm a patron and love family owned pizza places. It's not as amazing as Diuseppes, but it's still yummy. They have really good specials and they destroy the chains on all accounts. The only reason I go here more than anywhere else is location. I live a minute away and the food is worth coming back for. If you come wed-sun you'll get the best experience because the best person is in the kitchen there. It's always sad to see variation in food based on who is making it, but thats the way some kitchens work.
