Not sure what to say about this place. Boyfriend wanted to "see what it was like" so we decided to go on a Friday night. Place is huge & plaid skirts and bras are everywhere. If you're into over-tanned girls with tattoos & belly piercings, this is your place. In a place of about 85% men, I felt a little out of place, but after a few drinks things got more comfortable. The service is however, exceptionally friendly and waitresses are incredibly attentive. Not the place I would go for drink with some of my girl friends, but an interesting place nevertheless.

Don't order a tall drink. They will charge you double the price for just adding a little more soda.

I like the food here. Honest! We were going to get sandwiches for lunch, but the Which Wich had "technical difficulties" and closed right as we were rolling in at 11:00a. Which was inconvenient for them, and as we had a very hungry 3-year old in the backseat, left me with only one option. I got a California burger with sweet potato fries, my wife got a bacon-chicken burger with garlic fries, and my kid wanted a grilled cheese with regular french fries. The first thing I need to remember for the next time is that I should stop ordering California burgers. It was good burger, don't get me wrong; the guacamole was the right texture and (partially) seasoned, the turkey was well cooked and browned. But there wasn't any cheese or further seasoning. This is par for the course for a California burger (really, and sadly), though, so I can't fault them too much for this. All the fries, though - sweet potato, garlic and plain - were great. Excellent crunch and texture. My sweet potato fries were seasoned and salted very well, too. Service was... meh. I'm going to chalk it up to being 11:00 in the morning on a Saturday? Wasn't terrible but I thought it should have been better, especially since the price level is above average ($42 including tax and tip for 2 adults and a toddler). But anyway. The food was pretty good, so I'd come back.

I didn't realize that this was basically a Celtic Hooters. I'll start off with that. We came here on St. Paddy's Day and I was wanting some great Irish fare, but unfortunately, they didn't deliver. Since I have the un-fun pleasure of living with a dairy allergy, a bunch of their entrees were out because they had butter or cheese in them. I ended up with the corned beef hash with sauteed veggies and two over easy eggs with a side of sourdough toast. It was cooked in oil, so I was safe there, but it just wasn't corned beef hash. It was diced corned beef. I like the fatty, hashy flavor and texture of good corned beef hash and I didn't get it. Luckily the rotten cider (half guinness, half cider) was delicious, so I just kept drinking mine. Other dishes eaten at the table were the irish nachos, gaelic chicken, shepherd's pie, and a corned beef reuben. I did brave a bite of the reuben because my friend said it was amazing, and I'll admit, it was a damn good sandwich, but all the other dishes fell short. The irish nachos were pitiful. Just ground beef and tomatoes over potato chips covered in beer cheese. The shepherd's pie was not enjoyed by the person who ordered it. There were mushrooms in it, even though it didn't mention it on the menu. They don't belong in there! My friend who got the gaelic chicken says that he usually gets that and it's always good. I'll trust him. Our waitress was nice enough, but she mixed up our drinks and entrees on the check. It was an easy fix, but still.... What did I expect? I'll stick to tiny, well rated irish pubs for irish fare. This chain still has a lot of kinks to work out. None of them can ever beat my Noni's corned beef and cabbage, though, so I should probably stop testing everyone else's.

I've been here numerous times, my friend Nick likes to hit on the waitresses or bartenders, and we enjoy the beer and bar food. I'm a huge fan of fried anything, because I'm fat at heart, so bar food is always a win for me. Boyfriend had chicken quesadillas and hot wings, I had the chicken tenders and some mozzarella sticks. Yum. We were not disappointed. To make a great place Better, One of my awesome friends recently changed locations and now works at this location. She's made the atmosphere that much hotter, so you should go too!

I am not a prude, but this place creeps me out. Food is fair at best. Girls work the tips pretty hard - must be to pay off the mandatory boob jobs they all have. There are better places to go.

I have been in the Oakview Terrace area for the past 12 days with the luxury of being able to check out different restaurants while on business. Of all the restaurants I have been in so far I have to say straight up that this Tilted Kilt definitely has had both the best service and food. All the bartenders and waitresses made me feel right at home, which Is really nice being so far from home. My go-to spot!

Thought we would have dinner here- unfortunately, after more than a half an hour of waiting for a waitress to come to the table for the first time... We left without dinner or anything to drink.

Of all the Kilts we've been to with a patio, this one is depressing. There are only 4 tables fenced in on a narrow sidewalk. There's no tv, music or lamp warmers (it's been an unpredictable summer), just the sound of traffic on Rt 22 and a view of a strip mall parking lot. For these reasons, we didn't sit outside. Although most of the parking spots were available, we unfortunately picked the one and only space with an oil slick which went unnoticed until the kickstand slipped from under Jason. If I hadn't gotten off the motorcycle first... whoa! It was the first time I tried their Grilled Chicken Quesadillas. Grilled chicken, peppers and onions with melted cheddar and jack cheeses, stacked in between jalapeño cheese tortilla. Served with a scoop of guacamole, sour cream, salsa and garnished with an abundance of shredded lettuce. I will order this again. Next time, I'll ask for more guacamole and less sour cream.

Great place to see a game, lots of TVs and they turn the sound on whatever is popular. Service is good, they kind of take the H place to an Irish theme. What I ordered was not really bar food, more of a restaurant dish and it was overcooked. I bet their wings are good, will have to try something like that the next time. Place is fairly loud.

We used to go here for lunch from work quite often. Also for after work drinks. Today a group of five of us went for lunch. We waited 1 hour 30 mins for our food. Yes, ONE HOUR THIRTY MINUTES. The poor waitress was very polite and kept updating us, but it was simply unacceptable. Apparently they had no bus boy, no host and were down on wait staff. They should not have accepted tables in these circumstances. To top it off, their turkey burger which used to be delicious has been changed to a cheap old patty and was just fair. One of our beers was completely dead. I will never set foot in here again.

First time there tonight with hubby for a Friday night dinner. 2 stars for the pretty girls and great food but the service was NOT good at all! For a Friday night this place was dead. We were there from 7pm-9pm and no one was there. We were seated right away but no sign of our waitress for about 10 minutes. They were folding settings and polishing forks but no one waited on us until I started looking around. After we placed our orders, it took literally 45 minutes for us to get our food. We can see our burgers sitting on the counter but she just won't bring it to us. After waiting for another 5 minutes after the food came out, I had to ask another waitress if she can kindly bring us our food because otherwise, I'm just going to get it myself. I told her we waited 45 minutes and the place is anything but busy. So another waitress brought our food to our table. Still no sign of our waitress. Food was great I gotta say. The wings were delicious. My cheddar burger with bacon and egg rocked. Their garlic fries were amazing. And my hubby enjoyed his fish & chips burger with sriracha mayo which gave that extra kick. Still no sign of our waitress... The place was freezing! Luckily I brought a cardigan with me on a hot summer day just in case of something like this where it is freezing cold in the restaurant. Otherwise....I would be shaking it was so cold. Other than the food being great....finally our waitress came with our check. She did ask us how our food was and I must admit....I wasn't really happy with her so I said fine and that's it. Would I go back to this tilted kilt? Probably not. Would I go to another tilted kilt for their great food? Probably....just hopefully I get a better waitress or a more organized franchise because this experience was not a pleasant one. Too bad because their food was actually pretty good.

Hooters + Irish pub = Tilted Kilt Maybe it was the location, or the company I was with, but my experience at this TK was significantly better than the few others I've been to in the past. My buddy and I had two different servers--the first one was forgettable, but the second girl, Heather, was much more attentive. A tall Coors Light (shut up), was $4.50, which for a Wednesday night is not a terrific value. I was impressed with their "Inferno" burger, as far as taste is concerned. However, I told our waitress to tell the chef to 'kick it up a few notches', and I couldn't help but feel a tad let down. When I see a menu item with a little red pepper icon next to it, I like to call the cook's bluff on how much they can ramp up the heat......especially when I give them special instructions to do so. Tilted Kilt's Inferno burger barely even registered on my heat scale, which brings us to the very first edition of....... ~The Sticky Fingers Challenge~ Competitor: Oak Brook Terrace Tilted Kilt Menu Item: 'Inferno' Burger Highlights: sliced jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, spicy mayo, red pepper flakes Verdict: 1 out of 4 screaming skulls Bottom Line: excellent flavor, weak heat The chips were great, and for $11, I wasn't totally disappointed with my order. My friend enjoyed his fish & fries, as well as the ahem, 'scenery' that's guaranteed at any TK location. We also played trivia and won $15 bucks, so we're obviously returning to cash in on that.

Wow...where do I begin here? First of all, I'll explain how I ended up here. I came into town for work, and it was 11 at night. Everything was pretty much closed besides bars and chains such as this. I told myself "hmm, Scottish/Irish food? Why not!" I walk in and the place was empty (no judgement yet, after all, it was 11pm) I look over the menu which reads like an American Grill more than anything Celtic. They had burgers, pizzas, philly cheese steak and things like that. Yes, they had an Irish stew and Fish and Chips (not really scottish or irish) but for the most part it was American cuisine. Disappointment. The server comes to my table and that is when the night began to slide off track. I could not believe the conversation (if you call it that) I was having with her. I'll put it this way, it is a damn good thing she was very pretty because otherwise she would struggle in life. I asked for the special of the day and she told me Goose Island Shandy....I told her that I meant food and she said "oh! that would be our hamburger"............I need to showcase this conversation to have you get a better handle on what I dealt with. "Ok, but first of all, Goose Island does not make a shandy, and what kind of special of the day is "Hamburger"? Does it have anything special on it?" I asked. She said "Oh yeah, like bacon, and uh jalapenos, and stuff" "What kind of stuff" I asked her. "I'm not really sure" she replied. "Alright, no big deal I guess. How about your shandy, you mentioned Goose Island...are you sure that is what it is? I do love shandy and I'll try anything but Leinenkugel as I'm not a fan of their shandy" She said, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure, let me go check" She came back and told me she was wrong, and it wasn't Goose Island but it was another beer she couldn't pronounce. I asked, almost defeated from this conversation at this point, if she could spell it. She looked around for a moment, took a drink menu from another table, and pointed at it. Anyone else playing along at home right now has probably guessed it. Leinenkugel. Sigh. I passed on the beer, ordered the burger special, and quickly ran for the hills after paying for the check. PS: The second star is for the burger. It was cooked a perfect medium and was delicious. I would say they use fresh chuck versus frozen if I had to guess because the burger was very fresh.

This is not my first visit to tilted kilt, I have visited the Schaumburg and Roselle locations and have had a great experience. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. My friend and I came in last Saturday right after the Hawks game and the place was just empty. We were seated but then no one showed up to our table for the next 20 minutes, we were not even served water. Then i had to raise my hand and call someone, after which we were asked if we need anything, SERIOUSLY!!! My friend wanted to have some beers and relax but he just lost it and we just asked for water. We were offered water after 10 minutes. So we were in there for 30 minutes and all we had was water. Also when you check in on Yelp it shows a coupon saying you get free Irish nachos, but when we asked for it, we were told that we need to like them in Facebook to get that. At that point all we wanted was to get some food and get out. We ordered a burger and Gaelic chicken and paid the bill and just walked out. Will never again visit this location.

Food wasn't that good, below average bar appetizers My co-workers and I had corned beef and cabbage spring rolls - ehhh / boneless wings - decent / cheese bites - too much dough / and the whiskey beef - tasted like a TV dinner. The mustard dipping sauce had a funky taste too The beer was alright, can't mess that up. Long Island iced teas were too sweet.... We went after work, it was all business men at 5pm. I'm sure everyone goes to Tilted Kilt for the women, not the food. The ladies were cute, thin, and ditzy. Our waitress messed up a few things with our order We won't be returning even though I was with male co-workers. Maybe this joint is the "Irish" version of Hooters? I prefer Hooters

Great Irish nachos and Irish stew (odd for a Scottish themed place). Pleasant atmosphere lovely nice waitresses.

Food is very average Pub food few if any healthy choices. The mens washroom was filthy, towel dispense torn off of the wall, looked like it had not been cleaned in days. If the staff cleans up in there I would not eat the food.

Good, not great. I think I would have had a better time if it weren't just a lunch break, and I could have enjoyed a few beers. The fish and chips, with sweet potato fries, was plentiful and perfectly prepared so that the batter on the fish was golden brown and just the right level of crunchy. Now, clearly they have employees that are pleasing to the eye, and I'm not one to demand that kind of awkward forced flirtation that these waitresses are expected to give to every group of fat middle-aged car-salesman that comes in. Having said that, our waitress, though pleasant, seemed kind of aloof. A little more genuine personality would have been nice.

This place continues to register an average rating for me. The food is probably deserving of 4 stars for this type of place, but the staff has continued to disappoint. I am 90% sure our waitress this past Friday afternoon was smoking the wacky tabacky somewhere...otherwise she was extremely out of it or clueless. I'd like to think they wouldn't hire someone who is normally like this. Anyhow, besides this most recent experience, I have never left here saying I had an awesome time... At the same time have never been utterly disappointed either. I'm sure I'll be back... Meh.

Ordered the poutine, and it came without the sauce! Really? Fries and a few curds does not make a poutine. I was told that they were out of the sauce after I questioned the plate of fries sin sauce. I was asked if I wanted BBQ sauce instead... Service was fair at the bar, but the atmosphere was a bit strange. Eighties metal and hair bands while watching college football was a bit much. The tartan motif and warm draft did not even touch a single memory from my visits to the Emerald Isle.

Mmmkay, so you don't really go to a place like this for its food. You go for the...ahem...view, so to speak. My friends have a crude pseudonym for the name of the restaurant and that's all I'll say on the matter. Moving completely away from crass, the service all night was pleasant. I was there with a group of 8 friends and we were all seated within minutes of arriving. Our server was kind, and didn't mind my friends' bad jokes. She kept our drinks refilled and was friendly throughout the night. The food itself was nothing special. I looked at the website and menu online and was tempted by several of the selections. They all sounded good. Foregoing all things healthy, even though there were healthful selections available (shaddap!), I went with an order of buffalo wings and the potato chip nachos. Everything was very simple, not much extraordinary flavor anywhere. The sauce on the buffalo wings was adequate, but tasted like nothing more than Mike's Red Hot Sauce. Nothing was burnt, and they came out hot. The nachos were bland. The chips, while appearing homemade had absolutely no flavor, and tasted dried out from being in the broiler to melt the cheese. The cheese appeared to have been shredded and then melted, rather than using a cheese sauce. Plain ground beef was spooned onto the top. It wasn't oily, which was good, but it also wasn't seasoned and bland as hell. Diced tomatoes completed this train wreck. So, will I be back? Probably. My friends like it, and we get together almost every Tuesday. Knowing that the food is kind of sucky, I'll probably just go healthy next time since I won't feel like I'm missing much.

Frankenstein and Dracula have nothing on you Jekyll and Hyde join the back of the queue The female of the species is more deadly than the male Nobody goes to TK for the grub. Not that it is bad or anything, but served up at another location, it would have the appeal of that light green paint in the halls of your high school. Remarkable in its unremarkable-ness.... My go to here is the spicy sausage sandwich which is on the upper end of impressive on the menu. But in context, the grilled chicken quesadilla comes in a close second. So other than the obvious, why go to TK? For me, watching the dynamic of the place play out is the true draw. Tilted Kilt seems to be the preferred haunt of business guys away from home. Of course, you say. They are here for the eye candy. Well duh, sure but upon closer scrutiny, there is something else in play here. The portions! My gawd, have you looked at the size of that stack of nachos that one dude just ordered for himself? It is a guaranteed 5500 calories that will keep the Defibrillator Factory in business for years to come! And that was just the appetizer! Entree was a burger the size of Charles Barkley's head slapped between two loaves of bread slathered with butter and fried. But cooler still, the guy orders all of this AND flirts! Yea right, I'm sure that PYT schlepping Big Beers from behind the bar while wearing full Scottish regalia is oh so very impressed with they way you put away enough food to feed a family of 4. I pulled back and did a site survey, sure enough, piles and piles of food in front of every business guy there! Do their wives not let them eat while at home, or is this some sort of Secret Society thing that has video seminars available exclusively to Premium members of salesforce.com ? Regardless of the amount of flirtatious endevours and empty plates created, at the end of the evening, you are going home by yourself, buddy. Well, you and that ever expanding girth flapping over where you belt used to be.

To quote my 9th grade English teacher, upon our viewing of brief nudity in Zeferelli's Romeo & Juliet, "it's just skin, folks, everybody has it." So yes, the waitresses here are rather scantily clad. Big deal. They're pretty cute, too. But really, this is just another bar and grill, with pretty decent food, a fair amount of craft beer and whisky, and boobs. I'd come without the boobs, too. I was impressed to see local brewer Church Street on tap. And here's a tip for the veggie lovers: the spicy black bean wrap is very good and almost meaty tasting. I suggest upgrading to the garlic fries if you're not on a first date. They're delicious, greasy and crispy and garlicky. Overall, service is good, with a little extra flirtiness for the guys but plenty of refills and attention overall. So probably best for the jealous types to stay away. But if you like beer, bar food and babes, you might just like the Tilted Kilt.

My friends and I have been looking for a new place to go that has happy hour until 7pm. We decided to try Tilted Kilt. Besides the ladies with the little to nothing outfits and the old men grossly staring at them it was not a bad evening. Their happy hour menu could use a few more items. I tried the Buffalo Chicken Dip with potato chips and was pleasantly surprised. After that I had the fish and chips which was sweet potato fries. It was good for fried fish. Our waitress did a good job to keep our drinks filled and check in with us on any other needs. I would go higher on the rating but the outfits were a little over the top. I knew they would be Hooter like but these to me were a little bit too much or maybe it was the way some of the girls chose to wear them.

Warning: be ready to get greeted by some Tig 'ol Bitties. Yes people, the waitresses who work here dress like Britney Spears circa "Hit Me Baby One More Time". BFD! So if you're not into that then don't go, but you'd be missing out on some great food! Anywho, the first time we went, it was for my bubby's birthday celebration. We were waiting for some peeps to show up so we ordered some drinks and an appetizer (wings in their signature sauce). Delicious!! Kudos to Angela P for suggesting those. I ordered the TK Jalapeño Inferno Burger - Jalapeños, Pepper Jack Cheese and their homemade ES-picy mayo. It was really good. The birthday boy got a Tilted Guilt for desert - Partially baked chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. I should say he got it but us girls ate it all!! lol It's just so good when it hits your lips. Warm, soft and moist, a definite guilty pleasure. The second time I stopped in for lunch and had some spinach artichoke dip and some fish tacos. The cilantro they put in the dip kind of turned me off, it was a weird overpowering taste. The fish tacos were tasty. I ate them ALL! The waitresses are very friendly and sometimes they sit at the tables to take orders or just to chat. They help each other bring the food out and make sure the customers are happy. I would, with out a doubt, go back to get some drinks and some good food.

There are better Kilts...I was here for lunch about 12pm and it wasn't really busy. I guess I was taken aback when the waitress didn't pay too much attention to me, but now that I think of it, I was busy doing work...guess she was just respecting my space...she opened up at the end. Not my favorite (Schaumburg and Lisle) of the Kilts, but not bad.

I think it is 4-star for what it is: not Hooters, which is a little long in the tooth these days. It is an updated, cleaner, and higher end (feeling) Hooters. The place has pretty good beer selection, great wings (order them slightly well), and 7/10 skin. The drink specials and large portions deliver a good value. I've been a few times to sit at the bar with my girl for a late bite & imbibing and found the staff to be pretty good to talk to - I left feeling satisfied.

I really love this place cuz there is a waitress named Alix that works there. She is the most beautiful girl I ever met and I think she wants to date me cuz she alway touches my shoulders and sits and talks with me. I get really nervous around her but I want to have more courage. The only reason I give it four out of five stars is because the manager always ask me if I'm waiting for someone and I say no I'm by myself. They ask every time and I don't like that. The food is ok.

    (4)
  • Marc F.

This place is VERY mediocre, and I'm being generous. My wife and I stopped by for lunch and ordered burgers and spinach dip. The burgers were a little dry as if the cook smashed all the juices out on the grill. I must say that the burgers looked and sounded delicious on the menu. The spinach dip was barely ok, I wouldn't waste my time here unless I'm getting beer or trying to entertain a pervert.

I've experienced WAY better service! My co-workers and I have tried on numerous occasions to try and kick back after a long day at the office by letting loose at the Kilt which ALWAYS sounds like a great idea except for the pathetic service we've experienced! If you're looking to have a few drinks just sit at the bar because you will probably dehydrate before your waitress comes around to see if you need anything! Food is mediocre as its just bar food and I wasn't expecting much to begin with. But the slow service is what kills me everytime, I think my co-workers and I will be checking out a new spot to hang out at after work soon!

Go for the scenery and pass on the food. Big selection of tap beers but only 2 beers that stand out and sort of special. The onion rings were some of the worst I ever had. Poor and limp. I mean what kind of bar can't even get onion rings correct. I would pass on this under most circumstances.

Good food (try the hot pretzel bread for an appetizer), and friendly service. The girls are NOT hard to look at in their cute (yet skimpy) kilt costumes, which means it takes an effort to maintain eye contact while ordering. Overall, decent place to grab some quick food, and it feels classier than Hooters.

First time at Tilted Kilt, really blah. Went on a saturday night-fairly dead, though our waitress seemed off. She didn't seem new, but kept forgetting things. 4 of us ordered 1 entree each and once she brought out food she placed wrong entrees under wrong people. Then we had to take silverware from the table across from ours. Refills took forever and bussing was kinda bad. We finished our entrees and asked to see the late night menu. After 5 minutes she comes back with menus...we ordered few things from the late night menu and when our new food came no one took our old plates. So we're eating with our dirty plates in front of us. Not good. Each one of us had 1 or 2 items asked for split checks and she split it wrong. Could at least ask before splitting if she had forgotten. She socialized with other tables but wasn't interested in ours, oh well. At any rate very very average place. One start for late night menu and birthday celebration song/shot. Think they have room to grow to be successful, better looking girls than hooters, but service better at hooters.

Run run run! Went to dinner here last minute and oh my lord, where do I start? Our waitress wasn't all there... At all. Food wrong, didn't get drinks, place was dead, moved cold used chicken I cut from first wrong meal and put it on the second attempted meal. Then after telling the manager he told me he physically "threw the whole salad out himself." Really? Because my chicken was still cut the way I cut it with first meal- ha. He was speechless, very sad and unprofessional place! This isn't even half the story including another waitress coming up to our table to tell us that our waitress just walked out of the job and that she "has major issues." What?! Crazy.

Our hotel suggested this place to watch the football game that was close to the hotel. We had no idea it was like a Hooters but with better food. The food was good for a sports bar and good drinks. The kid menu was good as well. We brought our two year old daughter. The decor was great with lots of TVs. The only negative was the waitress' outfits. What a shame! The place wasn't very full and it was mostly men. I think they could easily get a female sports watching crowd and families if they changed the waitress' outfits.

It's been a while since I've had a bad review. Sure am glad I tried to eat at Tilted Kilt today! Yeah, we TRIED to eat here. Let me clarify. Got here at 545pm. A plethora of females were standing at the hostess stand, between 5-7 girls in the same uniform, of which I could not tell the difference between hostess and server, or if it even matters. Actually it doesn't matter. We were seated promptly, this is true. And then nothing, for 10 minutes. Mind you, the place is 15% full, and there are plenty of people up front. I started doing the "look at my watch" thing, staring, everything short of putting on a reflective jumpsuit and bringing out my orange batons that I use to direct airport traffic. Menus were on the table, it was just a matter of getting one of these sweet servers to stop chit-chatting about their personal business, or who scraped their knees doing whatever, or God knows what, and just coming over to take our order. Of course that doesn't happen, but you know what does happen? The people who came in AFTER us get their drinks and nachos before we even get a warm body to possibly make an appearance at our table. Walked out without an empty stomach and said thank you to the team of useless, brainless, no-observing dimwits and walked out. To which, they replied, "Thanks! Come back soon!" Not on your life. PS - I hope the garlic fries are worth it, because although I'm not coming back here, I am planning on going back to the Elgin location. And also, the waitstaff were maybe a 4/10 in the looks department, 0/10 in the cerebrum department. Also, I just noticed this was my 100th review by chance, and that was pretty disappointing for a milestone...

Wasn't the restaurant's fault but the one waitress we had was awful! Her name was Ashley and she flirted with these guys, giving them all this coffee and meanwhile couldn't be bothered to refill our drinks and it took her a half an hour to even take our order for food ( we had appetizers but we really wanted burgers). We waited for our food because we had such great service and food before and thought maybe she was just new or something, but she wasn't even seen to get the check ( we had to ask the hostess girl for the check and even wanted to give it straight to her, as we knew this girl wasn't getting much of a tip). We gave a dollar so hopefully she gets the hint to give better service to all customers but I really hope they don't have more girls like her in the future. The food was fresh and good, so we felt bad for the rest of the staff, but she was terrible. Just because of that experience, I would never go there again and as much as my boyfriend loves to see cute girls ( so do I though) , he even said that if you can't get beer and food at a decent time that he would rather have some guy give out an order..now that's bad!

Its not as bad but not as good. We went there for superbowl sunday. We expected a good crowd but it was kinda dead. The specials were not all that great. I dont get how you put all domestic beer and not include Goose Island! The food was good, the wings had a really good asian themed sauce that was very tasty. The young lady who took care of us was attentive, but it was empty. I will return just because of the scenery and the good bar food.

Not too bad. Predominantly 30 - 40 ish male crowd, scantily clad women and an announcer on a microphone almost made it feel like a topless joint there for a moment ..... ;) Food and service were pretty decent though. Kind of offbeat menu in spots as they incorporate actual pub food (shepherds pie, stews, etc.) but plenty of the usual typical bar food. Stick to the beers, mixed drinks were nothing special. A little loud and tons of TVs with sports on. Servers were more than adequate and everyone was pleasant. Jessica served us and checked on us often. Rarely looked at me (the male) in the eye but always made eye contact with my female guest. She didn't even ask us to vote for her (their entry for a national spokeswoman), just made sure we were always pleased, actually very professional. I would go again, but don't expect fine dining or cuisine this is a bar after all.

This was my 2nd stop on my tour of the "kilts". After experiencing sub-par service elsewhere - I wondered if it were just the location - or if the problem of "ok food, looks ...not service" was chain-wide. My buddy and I came in, were promptly seated, and the server came over to get us started. Before I had a chance to crack a menu, she'd brought the beers back and was ready to take our order. Prompt...quick. amazing. I thought I was in for a treat. That's...where the fun ended. After our order was placed, the bus boy dropped our food at our table, and I next saw our server as she was walking over to a table for the kilt b-day acknowledgement. She stopped by our table on the way back, took a desert order, and disappeared for another 30 minutes before coming to drop the check. If the place were busy, I'd have sympathy. Sadly...there were probably 7 other tables seated. Cute girl and hot food - but empty beers and a non-existent server presence killed the experience.

Oh, sports bars. I have a serious love/hate relationship with you. I love the TVs everywhere showing my favorite teams and the wide variety of beers, but your food never ceases to disappoint me. A word to the wise: vegetarians love beer and sports too! We want more to eat than pretzels with less than flavorful beer cheese dip. Sure, you might have a black bean something or other, but expand your menu! The world's 'a changin' and healthy, tasty food is the new steak and potatoes. Also, the service blows. I went once to the bar and was moderately attended to, but decided to sit down away from the bar during my second visit and it took at least ten minutes for anything to be accomplished. It was a Friday night and the Tilted Kilt was far from poppin'. Why is it taking 10 minutes to get our check? Overall, if the food were as delectable as the eye candy -- I would have zero qualms, but the lack of flavor on top of inattentive service...that's too much for this girl. I'd rather sit in my hotel room and make my own game day meal.

I've been twice and it's been okay every time. Went here for lunch this time around. It was the lunch rush so it was packed when we were there. What was funny was I went here with my girlie so It was great to see all the dudes look at us when we sat at our table. They had a look of Whoa-girls-not- without-their-BFs are eating here?! It is a guys' guy kinda place. Service was okay. It took her 15 minutes to get us Silverware. We just had to eat our food with our hands for a bit. Food was alright as well.. We started it off with potato skins. It wasn't too greasy which was great. The cheese melted on top was alright as well. Ordered the fish and chips for the entree. Again, nothing amazing here. The fries were better than the fish. I'm not sure if i'll go back but I'll probably order something else. From what I remember I know the wings there are a bit tastier here.

after a friend told me about this place when we passed by, i just had to go and eat here. nothing beats eating while being served by hot chicks that's showing cleavage hahaha jk.... not really once i entered the restaurant, i looked around and it was pretty dead. i would expect it to be a little more packed on a Saturday night.. after we were seated, i start looking around even more.. the waitresses there was nothing like the girls on the menu nor was it like anything what my friend was describing...every waitress there was just wearing push up bras.. i ordered the inferno cheese burger and upgraded my fries to garlic fries.. all i can say is the food was just average.. i asked for my patty to be medium cooked but it came out well done. the fries was pretty greasy and salty... pretty disappointed i would say. this is the first and last time i will come eat here. the food quality is just not there for the price I'm paying. there are just far better options for burgers around the area..

Nagging waitress 'Emily' is nagging. Table of 6-7, she nagged the table waiting for me to show up until we ordered approximately 3 minutes after I arrived, the last of the table, and she nagged us until we left, reminding us every time she cleared something from the table that we could stay "as long as you want" when clearly she wanted to turn the top. The beer selection wasn't great, and our server was pretty much the not-hottest one in the bunch. This place is near work, but I'm not exactly encouraged to go ever again after this nagging experience.

I went to Tilted Kilt for the first time last week after hearing alot about it. I don't mind my food being served by the scantily clad, I love Hooters and I think if you've got it, flaunt it. The only thing I do mind is when the scantily clad care more about how they look then the people they're serving. I get it that I came with my boyfriend and not a bunch of guys oogling your goods and ordering rounds of drinks that would make them more money but we were guests there and we usually tip well. We sat down at the table and literally waited fifteen minutes before anyone came up to take our drink order. The place wasn't crowded by any means. After our drinks came we waited another 20 minutes before seeing her again for our food order. The only reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars is for their food. I ordered a BBQ chicken flatbread pizza that was really really good. If the waitresses gave every table that same amount of attention and friendliness I probably would have been satisfied.

The B.H. and I have been here a couple of times in the past two months and have been pretty pleased with everything. The drinks are good, not too terribly high priced and the food is very good wit a couple of exceptions. The pastrami sandwich needs some serious help, it was dry and tasteless. The chicken tenders were first rate though, and have to be one of my favorites. The pretzels are great and the burgers are very good too. Service all four times has been excellent, the girls are cute and friendly, and not just to my guy, but to me also. No doubt we will be returning, as B.H. gets coupons often.

It's no wonder this place has such few 5 star ratings. Food is decent, nothing special, majority of the time it's cold. However, I don't know what's colder, the food or the service... I know it's definitely not the drinks. Waited 45 minutes in a group of 6 to have anybody even take my drink order. Waited another 25-30 minutes for my 2 beers I ordered so that I wouldn't have to wait any longer for the second. Yeah the waitresses are scantily-clad, but that doesn't mean that they can be stupid. Had they not taken so long to ASK for my order and then FILL my order I may have been inclined to order food, more drinks, spend MORE MONEY and in turn this place would have MADE more money. Don't even bother going here. I'm sure you can find plenty of other places to eat mediocre(at best) food and unattainable beer. Just go to the liqour store and grab a 6 pack, it'll be a lot easier.

I've been here several times after work and tonight was typical: awful service. I sat down at the bar and asked for a beer and a menu. Got both very promptly, but that's were attending to the customer ended for my bartender. For the next 45 minutes I waited with my menu down for her to come up and ask what I'd like to eat. Nothing. Finally I gave up and left the same as I arrived - starving. Avoid this place at all cost. I will never come back again, that's for sure.

Wow. Wow. and one more Wow. I finally made it into a Tilted Kilt, and I was pleasantly surprised. When I first pulled up, I noticed an element of douchebaggery hanging around outside, but thankfully there weren't many in the actual restaurant. Can I just say how hard you have to work at maintaining eye-contact here? That little voice in the back of your head saying "don't look! eyes up! don't be that guy!" Our server, Elianne, was great, as was our pseudo-server, Tiffany, who spent a fair amount of time at our table listening to our stupid stories. And let's be honest, there is a reason guys come here, and it is to look at and flirt with good-looking women in skimpy outfits. Neither Elianne or Tiffany disappointed us, nor did any of the other servers/bartenders/hostesses walking around. The food was pretty good too. The garlic fries were awesome, and the Irish nachos were better than I've had at most places. Oh, and the BBQ Bacon Burger was mighty tasty. My friends and I ended up spending almost 5 hours here last night (Thursday night) from 7:30 until they started turning the lights up just before 1:00. Yes... we closed down a Tilted Kilt on a Thursday night in the suburbs. This place blows Hooters away in all categories, in atmosphere, comfort (I hate those bar stool tables), food, and most importantly, the girls. All in all, this place made for a great night out with a group of friends I haven't seen together in one place since high school... and we're talking mid-90's here.

After hearing the TK commercial play over and over at XSport, I decided to finally give it a try. The food is alright, beers and drinks are pretty typical, and the price is akin to competitors like Rock Bottom Brewery. But overall, there's nothing about this place that makes me say wow. The atmosphere's a little dead on a monday night, despite the pub being about 70% full. It felt like I was in a nice quiet dine-in like Ruths Chris, which is hardly a compliment when it comes to pubs. I ordered the irish soup 3/5, grilled chicken 3/5. Wife ordered the chicken fried chicken 3/5. With a beer and a cocktail, this dinner totalled $50. I probably shouldn't base the rating on the entree considering I purposely chose the grilled chicken to suit my protein diet. For what its worth, mine was a slightly above average grilled chicken, and my wife's chicken fried chicken was probably the 'healthiest' chicken fried steak I've ever tasted.

I have been to 3 Tilted Kilts so far, Lisle, Schaumburg, and now Oak Brook Terrace.. On a Saturday night this place was so dead!.. A loaner at a table with a waitress sitting with him.. must be a regular.. Let me say that its the Garlic Fries I crave along with a Blue Moon.. the chicken quesadillas here are also really well made.. the TK sauce is delicious.. The spinach artichoke dip was not... it was watery and bland.. No worries.. you can't go wrong with wings here, and even the sweet potato fries are delicious.. Its a new construction hence clean. I can imagine on a busy day the service suffers based on other reviews... Lastly.. dont expect much from the service.. come for the food, or bring the guys for the game... ( and the view) And because its Tilted Kilt.. the girls are a big part of the ambiance, as a guy.. you cant go wrong with Tilted Kilt! .. Funny story, the waitress said her B-Day was the same as mine.. thinking it was a flirty tip getting strategy... I asked her what her birthday was right as we were leaving... and well at least she was honest..

This isnt the place to go if youre looking to eat grease ball crap food and see pregnant girls with little shorts showing their cleavage(aka hooters). A big step up from the roselle tilted kilt, I must say!

The bottom of a 16 oz beer mug dropped out, completely soaking me in beer. I was told this can happen when they take the glass out of the dishwasher and fill it before it has had a chance to cool down enough. They didn't express much concern, but they did refill a new glass. It would have been nice, in terms of basic hospitality, for them to have taken that one beer off my bill, but they did not. My colleagues and I will not be back.

My coworkers and I just ate lunch here after finding out they opened this week. The service was prompt even though it was packed, the women gorgeous and very friendly, letting one of my guys go around taking pictures with them (he's was like a kid in a candy store). They even sit and just shoot the shit with you. I had the grilled chicken wings with the Kilt Burner sauce (spicy, but not overbearing), which was tasty, especially as it had a bit of char on the wings. Our table was very satisfied with their orders of fish/chips, Dublin "big arse" burger, and I forgot what the other one had because I was "distracted". Coming back we showed the pictures to the lamers who decided not to come to lunch with us, and they were suitably envious, so I envision another lunch in the near future.

This was the location of a birthday celebration for Osi V's man! =] We were seated right away even with a party of 8 on a Saturday night at 7:30. Not bad! We started with the traditional wings tossed in the signature sauce (spicy and sweet). They were amaze...but I was aware of how good they were from a previous experience. Everyone at the table ordered some kind of burger or sandwich. I tried the Reuben and a burger with jalapenos and pepperjack? cheese on it. Both were VERY good! But the Reuben was the standout for me...it was a pretty perfect Reuben actually...delicious! I also tried some of the fries and onion rings with cayenne ranch...Mmmm mmm! Good! But...the highlight for me was the dessert they served Kev for his birthday. And no...I'm not talking about the 6 pairs of tatas in his grill for a picture either! I'm talking about the partially baked cookie bowl thing served with ice cream on top...OMG...it was spectacular!! I need it in my mouth right now...mmm...SO goodddd!! I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested in a fun night out with good food and a good beer selection, as well!

Went to this location last Saturday and the restaurant was busy. We were seated quickly, but it was downhill from there. Waitress terrible and not at all with it. Never brought water or napkins. Forgot silverware until we asked 3 times. Only got one beer because she never asked if we wanted another. To top it all off aside from the app the main course was terrible. To sum it up bad food and bad service won't be going here soon. Too many other places serving the same type of food.

lets be honest here, I go to tilted kilt because of... The beer and nothing else, sure there are fine looking servers here but thats not why im here, truly the number of draft beers they have available are amazing from IPA's and local draft beer and their own tilted kilt brand, which tasted great... the food selection is better than buffalo wild wings and hooters, but the taste of the food is average... i will visit here again with a friend and too watch a game, but I come here for the beer and their selection will impress you

My buddy and I went in here by accident. The place used to be a Bennigans, and we thought, "Sweet! A new Irish Pub place!!" We should have known what we were getting into when we saw the doors. We were greeted by very beautiful, scantily clad women reminiscent of Britney's Hit Me Baby One More Time era. Tied up half button shirts, micro mini plaid skirts, no tights, and to the nines make-up. Hey, if I were into women, this place would have been heaven, EVERY server was stunning. Then we realized, we were the only female patrons there. It was pretty hilarious to us. The ladies sat down at the tables and had lengthy conversations with the visually arrested men who ranged from "I just got my drivers license to late 50's men out for some some Hubert Humbert fantasies with a side of burger." Our server was nice, and sensed it was our first time here, and that we were clueless, so she didn't sit and chat with us per usual customers. The food: The nachos are to die for, and it put my expectations very high for the shrimp basket I ordered. (Side note I plainly asked for sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries, and she brought out the regular fries with the shrimp, with an extra order of sweet potato fries : / ) The shrimp were reminiscent of the ones your buy in the freezer aisle, and the fries were like the ones in kids microwavable meals, bland and tasteless. Not a fan, should have just stopped with the nachos. Can't say I will try anything else on the menu, because not gonna lie, sitting there was a little painful haha.

Awful. Bad vibe and creepy - a low-grade Hooters with kilts, though that insults Hooters who seem to have their formula down (and are polite and agreeable places). As a sports bar its only qualification is a lot of video screens. I've been in all kinds of places worldwide and this is very close to the drinks-for-the-dancers clip joints where the girls are paid by how many "drinks" they can talk patrons into buying for them. Thuggish Guidos in nylon windbreakers directing the girls, girls chatting up the patrons, and the mediocre food, atmosphere and drinks are definitely not anything to do with any of the Gaelic countries nor much of anything else worthwhile. Pass. Update: Amazingly, I attempted another branch of this chain in another town and found it to be just fine; courteous service, good pub-grub etc. The Oak Brook operation deserves some serious scrutiny by the home franchise office - very poor by comparison.

Its Tilted Kilt...you can't say much more than what it is. But this one is worth going to. The bar isn't exactly user friendly with its side space but the service makes up for it. . TV's are nice and the management truly supplements the perty girls!

    (3)
  • Heather S.

Tilted Kilt has decent food and a decent crowd. Since the women are in bikini tops and plaid skirts, there are definitely more men. Actually not a bad spot to go if you're a single girl!! The waitresses and bartenders have been really friendly each time I've been there and there are lots of TVs for watching sports. A good experience for a sports bar, but nothing that I wouldn't expect.

Meh.

Food is very average Pub food few if any healthy choices. The mens washroom was filthy, towel dispense torn off of the wall, looked like it had not been cleaned in days. If the staff cleans up in there I would not eat the food.

Also, I just noticed this was my 100th review by chance, and that was pretty disappointing for a milestone...

lets be honest here, I go to tilted kilt because of...

    (1)
  • Carlos G.

No doubt we will be returning, as B.H. gets coupons often.

after a friend told me about this place when we passed by, i just had to go and eat here. nothing beats eating while being served by hot chicks that's showing cleavage hahaha jk.... not really once i entered the restaurant, i looked around and it was pretty dead. i would expect it to be a little more packed on a Saturday night.. after we were seated, i start looking around even more.. the waitresses there was nothing like the girls on the menu nor was it like anything what my friend was describing...every waitress there was just wearing push up bras.. i ordered the inferno cheese burger and upgraded my fries to garlic fries.. all i can say is the food was just average.. i asked for my patty to be medium cooked but it came out well done. the fries was pretty greasy and salty... pretty disappointed i would say. this is the first and last time i will come eat here. the food quality is just not there for the price I'm paying. there are just far better options for burgers around the area..

Food is not bad, service is good. Place is loud so if you want to chat with your party, this is not a good place.

Wow. Wow. and one more Wow.

Woodbridge location is much better. Food was good, but the service sucked. The servers were to busy yapping with each other.
