Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I love this place! Awesome pizza, broasted chicken is delicious and the salads are always fresh. It's really hard to find a spot that knows how to make broasted chicken, after trying their broasted chicken, I never go elsewhere. *They have a really great rewards point system!!!!

Came for the pinball, stayed for the pizza. I should've avoided both. In Melrose Park, there's no shortage of pizza places (although oddly enough, not a single sushi spot....), so my only real motivation to come here was for the single pinball machine in the back, Williams' "No Fear". I already knew it wasn't in the best condition from previous visits, but only after playing a few games did I notice how badly beat up it was. Like I mentioned previously, the launch button is completely smashed-in Hulk-style, as if someone took out their frustration on the poor defenseless game, the flipper buttons are cracked, playfield switches all over the place no longer trigger, the game barely even started.....and somehow, a FLY managed to get underneath the playfield glass. How does that happen?? Clearly, maintaining their 1 and only pinball isn't high on their list of to-do things. .......and apparently making hot tasty pizza isn't either. The cheese on my slice of 'roni was congealed and barely room temp, the flavor uninspired. Just not very fresh at all. The freestyle Coke machine and Gold Peak tea dispenser saved Cochiaro's from a 2-star downgrade (from 4 stars to 2). I wished that I could come here for a quality slice of thin crust pie and good pinball, but sadly, neither is to be found here.

Just ordered a 14" green pepper, onion and, sausage pizza. It was good. I enjoyed it. Should of bought a smaller pizza. I only ate half lol I feel as if the pizza could use a could more oz of cheese. The flavor of the green peppers were amazing. You can tell they are fresh. No complaints just yet keep up the good work mike.

This place is hit or miss...it's just okay. Food takes a long time even when the restaurant isn't busy...be prepared to wait a while for a sandwich (chicken, burger, etc.). And why do they charge us an extra 69 cents for bbq sauce instead of mustard on our sandwiches? It's frustrating that you cannot get a cup of water at this place after buying a pizza or meal for yourself. Slices of pizza are okay--if they haven't been sitting out for too long. Staff is also hit or miss--sometimes friendly, sometimes could care less. We've ordered pizzas for carry-out and those are good, when they're hot & fresh.

Worst experience ever. Only reason they are getting one star is because the pizza was decent, and because you need to give a star rating. We placed an order for pickup at 5:02pm. Ordered a pizza, a separate slice for the kids along with tenders for the kids. We were told it would be a half hour pickup, which is fine! Got home to discover that the slice of pizza that should've been in the bag with our chicken wasn't in there. Along with that, the sauces that were in the bag were so hot and melted the container so the chicken was saturated in terrible sauce-kids wouldn't touch them. We called to let them know at 559pm, after getting home and discovering we didn't have anything. They said it would be sent right away...again, acceptable, mistakes happen. Well, at 647pm we called AGAIN because we still hadn't received our SLICE of pizza to be replaced. Not a whole pizza, just a damn SLICE. We live maybe 10 minutes away, so why it took that long is ridiculous. Well, they called us at 7:13pm because they "lost" our address. Finally got our pizza slice at 720. Almost 2 hours after the initial order should have been ready. I'm absolutely livid. We order from them often. NEVER again after this.

AHHH!!! This place drives me crazy! There are times the food and service is outstanding and other times, I get terrible food. I miss the days when pizza slices were 99 cents. I get it, prices go up, but the quality of food has stayed the same and in some cases decreases. This is a good place to get a slice of pizza or a quick sandwich but I would not go out of my way to eat here. When you order a sandwich you have the option of not getting fries. Take this option. Their fries are BORING. Crinkle cut, straight from a bag. Boring. The salad is not much better. Lettuce and a two cherry tomatoes but better than the fries. Basically. Your staff is not very knowledgeable. I wish they up their friendliness level. That would make up for other areas where they are lacking. Honestly, I would rather not eat the extra calories of terrible fries, but it would not be unheard of to throw a cucumber slice in your salad. Culver's has better options. Just sayin'.

Totally disappointed in how they've continued. Food isn't as good as it used to be.. continued to get worse & worse but was still edible. Now I was going to order a burger today & was going to get a salad. I honestly was purely calling for the salad & chocolate cake part of this order. I loved their garlic dressing. But I call today & they don't have garlic anymore? Wtf?! I've never been anywhere where they didn't have garlic. I know this sounds silly but I LOVE salad & always get garlic from here. It's the only dressing I like from here. & I literally got it everytime I ordered. Well, I'm done ordering from here now. Food isn't worth the price anyway.

The first time I had Cochiaro's was about 17 years ago, so they've been in the game for some time. I've always questioned how, since my overall opinion of their food has always been incredulous at best. It's typically bland and unfulfilling. I can only assume they've stayed in business because it's downright cheap. These days, if you can sell cheap, quick food that doesn't land you in the hospital, or hugging the porcelain all night, you just might have yourself a successful business. If you live in the area, you'll come across coupons for pizza, broasted chicken dinners, wings and rib tips. It's decent stuff. Your mind will not be blown, but you will not be grossed out by any means either. That's one for the plus column, no? In fairness, the quality of their food as seemed to improve over the years...a little...kinda. Unfortunately, that trend has been moving at a snails pace. Otherwise, I'd be a staunch frequenter.

Good food, slow service! I asked for extra crackers for my soup and I was told it would cost extra. If you can't afford the crackers Don't Sell Soup!!! Cool pop machine but place is always filthy.

So I come into this place for a friend of mine. She wanted a slice of pepperoni pizza. The staff upon entry to me, were not rude. They didn't greet me upon entry but that's ok. The problem here lies strictly with the food. For starters the lady ahead of me ordered two slices of pizza and a beef. Her pizza slices came up first. I have to say it's pretty bad when one of the kids said "this tastes like frozen pizza" she walked over to the child and made a mention of how cold the slice was. He declined to have her warm it up. Yes, I heard all this while I was waiting for them to actually take my order. I mean really? So, finally the young lady asks for my order. Even though I know the pizza slices were not going to be good I asked for one anyway. The pizza wasn't for me and I thought well my friend should know how this pizza is and she must like it. I myself ordered a pizza puff and fries. Ok, so I bring the pizza to my friend. She commented on how bad it tasted. I must say, I cAnt believe they served those slices. They were clearly old and the cheese was all brown and black. Disgusting!! How do you serve that slop to people? I don't care if it is 2 bucks. McDonald's has a dollar hamburger that's at least fresh and hot. The fries from this place were not crinkle cut as said previously from someone else. They were regular fast food fries but they were brown and way too greasy. The pizza puff was decent. Typical italco. That pizza slice though god awful.

I figured I would change up my pizza routine a bit and try somewhere new. I got a flyer for Cochiaro's in the mail and thought I'd try them out. My ordering over the phone experience was a nightmare. The man who took my order was EXTREMELY rude!! I have never dealt with anyone so sarcastic and rude before. When asked if my address a residence or business and I said apartment (I couldn't hear him very well), he said "so you live there then." No dude, I work here. When asked for the billing address for my credit and I told him its the same as my order address, he sternly and sarcastically told me he NEEDS me to SAY the billing address. Are you kidding me?! I was tempted to just cancel at that point. The food was decent but expensive. The pizza was flavorful. I might go back here, but I'd rather just stick to my regular place and skip the sass.

DO NOT EAT HERE! My sister, mom, friend and I all got chicken wings and a large pepperoni pizza from here! We ordered on 11/02/13 at about 5pm, My mom ate some of the pizza and was fine! My sister, friend and I all had about 2-3 wings each and all got super sick. Nausea, chills, vomiting and stomach cramps like nobody's business. We will not be ordering from here ever again and I plan to make a call to the CDC about a food borne illness. Do not order wings and I paid close to 30$ to get sick! Thanks Cochiaro's.

This is by far the worst pizza place. I ordered food for delivery got the wrong order and when I called to say something it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The pizza was edible but that's it. They claimed that their cheese fries are fries and a cheese cup for delivery which is not what I wanted at all but according to them that's so the fries are better. They were a big bag of soggy greasy mess. This is the place to go if you like soggy limp fries and can see the grease running of the pizza down your arms.

i have eaten here ever since i was in middle school. The pizzas are delicious (even though i hate pizza) and the onion rings are great too when they are topped wit ketchup and hot sauce

Everything here is great. $15 for a 1-topping 18inch deep dish is what I'm talkin' bout!

This place USED to be good. My family and I ordered from here on a regular basis until one night I became the victim of credit card fraud. Yes, after ordering food, the driver came to my home, gave me a receipt to sign I then gave him a cash tip and signed the receipt making sure to put a big zero on the tip line with a big X thru it meaning NO TIP! I later come to find out when the transaction posts to my bank there was a tip added. I confronted the owner and saw the receipt for myself which was CLEARLY NOT my signature. He refused to check my real signature against the forged one. He then tells me, "Hey you got your food didn't you, call your credit card company." He did give me the tip back in cash but I am never ordering from here again and a complaint has been issued! So BEWARE..... check your receipts if you pay with a credit/debit card!

I havent had this pizza yet, but I hear its great and cant wait to try it. I am/was however friends with a Joe Cochiaro (one of the owners brothers) and am looking to catch up with him after a million years. Anyone know how to reach him? He should be about 50 something....Tell him Marcey wants to say hi!

I went to this place because of coupons I got in the mail. Like what a couple of reviewers already said, the food is not bad, but not good either. I kinda find the food bland and lacking in flavor and richness. The good thing about it is that it's much more inexpensive than most pizza joints.

I have been here multiple times since starting work in the area. It is great lunch fare. Pizza slices, various sandwiches and burgers. They always have a monthly special and a daily special. Lunch for under 5 bucks is always welcome these days. The staff is the same since I started going there which should speak to their work environment. Nice pop in for a quick bite type of place.

Was staying in a nearby hotel with my kids and ordered a pizza for pick-up. It wasn't BAD, but it wasn't great, either (fairly bland...) Overall, i expected more based on the previous yelp reviews i had read.

This is probably one of the better pizzas that I have had in a while. I like pizza with a little bit of a thicker crust and that is how they make them. You can get you crust wafer thin if you are into that. I was thouroughly impressed with the size selection (10", 12", 14", 16", 18", 20" or Stadium(18"x26")) They absolutely do not skimp on ingredients. They load thier pizzas up with whatever you ask for. The prices are reasonable but the delivery can be a bit slow at times. They also have a huge selection of sandwiches and dinners too.

Our family has ordered from this place for many, many years. We live about 2 minutes away, they were always the fastest choice. The food isn't great, but it does the trick when we wanted food delivered quickly. The best thing I've ever had from them is probably the Double cheese burgers and before, the bbq from the bbq chicken. Their Italian beef isn't really good, plain. Most of what they cook you would probably feel it's something you could've come up with at home. Chicken is a bit tough, dry and oily. the fries aren't bad, if hot and fresh. The pizza is ok. Better than frozen pizza or chain restaurant pizza, not even close to as good as Nick & Brunos (although, the only thing good from them is the pizza and fries). Again, we just liked it because it was fast. Before. I've always been a fan of this place. Even though their food is as basic as it gets, nothing special. That all changed a few months ago. I went on vacation/moved away for a couple of years, came back about a year ago and I noticed a change. They have really started slipping. Since I got back from vacation, We've ordered from them a few times...each time, it was disappointing. Food was cold. Food was plain..er, bland..er. Food took a long time to arrive. Again, we live not even 2 minutes away. We've also received the wrong order. Before I went on vacation, I'd say we ordered maybe once or twice a month from this place, for years. At one time we were even ordering once a week for months! Actually, we've been ordering from these guys since they opened this Northlake location. In all those years we've received the incorrect order maybe, twice. The last time we ordered from them, it was just too much. A few months ago we ordered a few chicken breasts, fries and a pizza. They said it would take 45minutes to an hour to deliver(as usual). We wait, 50minutes pass. Now my Wife is the type who doesn't let anyone take advantage of her or us. She tells me to get ready to call if they don't show in ten minutes. I tell her to calm down, but I'm also thinking "I'm hungry and they did say 45minutes to an hour and they have been p1ssing me off with showing up late and bringing food that isn't hot.". I keep it together and I tell my Wife "I ordered chicken so It might take a while. Lets give them another 10minutes, then I'll call."(Chicken always takes longer). An hour and 25minutes later, I'm calling Cochiaros. I tell them that out order still hasn't arrived. It's nearly 30minutes past when they said we would receive our order. They tell me that the driver is getting ready to leave right now. AGAIN, we live 2 minutes away. It was snowing that day, so maybe 3 to 5 minutes away. Okay, so 27 minutes later, our order shows up. I knew something was wrong, the pizza box didn't look to be the right size. We took it upstairs and opened it up, chicken was there and correct, just barely warm. The pizza, wrong. It was a basic cheese and sausage pizza and we ordered a meat lover type deal, bunch of stuff on it, not just sausage. We immediately call back. They said the driver would be notified immediately and they have our pizza at the restaurant and the driver is just up the street and he'll be there in a few minutes. About 15 minutes later, he shows. He swaps the pizzas. No freebie/s for such awful service, no discount or money back or even a coupon or even a soda. Just here, boom, done. AND....COLD. Absolutely Cold. Not Even Warm. What kind of service is that? NOW, you want to add more flavor to this experience? We even went online and E-mailed them on their website. Guess what? No response. My Dad, he wanted chicken last week. I told him, I no longer could recommend cochiaros. He really wanted and his idea was, He'll pick it up because he's faster than their delivery service. WRONG. They told me once again, it'll be ready in 30minutes. He got there in 30minutes and had to wait an additional 20 minutes! While all the employees stood around talking without a care in the world. They LOST us as long time customers. I am not lying when I say that We've been there with them from the start. Always giving them business. Now....we want delicious, hot and fast pizza delivery - Nick and Bruno's We want chicken - I guess we'll have to get in the car and head over to Popeyes. Burgers or Beefs - Portillos. Never again cochiaros and we Will NEVER recommend and will actually advise AGAINST ordering from them.
