if you would like to eat while listening to the kitchen staff's children run rampant through the restaurant then this is your place... The fried mushrooms were freezer burnt and inedible, but the cooks were too busy dealing with the 6 kids they had in there running around to take care of the problem... Greasy and messy, perhaps they should consider cleaning as the restaurant is filthy. Love the fact that the "owners"donate to charity... I even made a donation, hope it gets to the intended charity?...

Every time I order from tommys something is always missing. They offer a credit, which is somehow always "forgotten about." I was even double charged and only had one receipt so couldn't prove it to the bank. Buyer beware!!!!

Ordered some hot dogs, they were terrible! Buns were hard and stale! Suppose to be steamed! What they put on the dogs was very skimpy, hot dog tasted awful! The tomato they put on was the core, should have thrown that away, instead they gave it to a customer!, everytime I try that place it gets worse! I'm done!

Love the food. Pricing is decent I suppose. I remember being able to get the hot dog special for $3 but that was a long time ago. The only complaint I have is when delivered, more times than not they won't add the ketchup or ranch you asked for or even a straw for the drink. That's just careless. It's annoying but I can deal because I enjoy the food. Just keep that in mind when ordering delivery. Cheers

Tommy's is your typical hot dog, beef, gyro place. Fries are good, probably one of my favorites in town at these type of establishments, the gyro sandwich and plate are always overflowing with meat. But that is called Tommy's Red Hots you would think they would have a decent dog. I have ordered hit dogs from here on several occasions and thought this tastes more like an Oscar Mayer random pork hot dog than like a Vienna beef or Chicago red Hot but maybe Im crazy. Ordered the fried mushrooms and they were inedible, and we made the mistake of ordering a large, it was a shame we ordered thru the drive thru because I definitely would have sent them back if I was dining in.

Meh. It was ok! I'd probably come back and try it again. I stopped on a long drive, this is not a local place for me. But I was really hungry while on a drive, and I happened upon this lil' place. So I stopped for a hot-dog. Went thru the drive-thru: Service was friendly enough, and fast enough. The Hot-dog was ok, nothing special. It was a dog. Wrapped in french fries. Which were also just ok. Nothing special, but maybe if I were in the area I'd give it a try again. It's perfectly acceptable junk food!

Don't underestimate this place. They serve our needs when we need take-out. Yes, they deliver now, and they accept credit, which was not a practice in their past. I, personally, recommend getting a chicken sandwich in a pita with grilled onions, and nothing else. It's spectacular. The Gyros is good, too. Check for their specials on a daily basis. In conclusion, they are a good for quick meal.

A nice little place to grab lunch. They have hot dogs, pizza, and tons of other meat products. The service is decent but the aesthetics of the place need a little work. Especially the bathroom it looks really dank like a gas station rest stop. Food always tastes good though prices are a little high, but it's worth it most of the time. Grab lunch here with a friend sometime!

The best thing Tommy's could do as a corporation would be to shutter this location for good. 7 people, individual orders. They got three of them right. Food quality and taste just awful. The place is filthy and the staff needs training.

Worst service ever they always forget something or not what you ordered I ordered a gyros with sauce only and these clowns put mustard on it and offered me a credit they had refused to bring me a new one. Corporate could care less they did not return a phone call or email

Located in a former Wendy's location on Elm street, Tommy's is probably your best option for a quick dog and fries. They have the usual selection of fast food favs, including pizza. Many daily specials that also include ribs.

Ok- I'm still loving Tommy's- don't get me wrong. But something is irkin me about my call in pizza orders. LOVE Tommy's pizza, but they completely overkill on the olives. Every time we call in, we say 'no olives' - twice even, just to make sure they've got it. The past THREE TIMES- they have put olives on the pizza. In fact, we just ordered it tonight, and my husband is currently waiting for them to make a new one- cause we checked it before we left this time, and guess what it had on it. He even told the guy taking the order 'no olives' THREE TIMES. Come on guys- love your food- but recheck your order taking skills!!

This place is absolutely God awful! I wouldn't feed this crap to my dog. The Italian beef is boiled, bland and just plain bad. They screwed up the hot dog! How hard is it to make a good hot dog? They should've paid me to eat this junk.

It's a pretty OK spot for lunch. The Tommy's Special is the norm for me when coming by (2 dogs and fries for $6). I mean, Portillo's tends to have better dogs, but for McHenry, they are pretty good. The Italian beef is pretty mediocre, though... I've had much better, and for the love of god, you don't need to dip the entire sandwich.
