I am very impressed with this restaurant's service, even more so than the food. The food was great, but the service would get 5 stars! We are staying at LeFevre Inn, which is in Galena, but a few miles away from the downtown area, so I wasn't sure if they would deliver. My husband and I wanted to stay in for the night, and lucky for us, they were willing to deliver to where we were staying. The woman who took our order was so sweet, and as she knew we were staying in a hotel, she sent plates, napkins, plastic utensils, as well as parmesan and red pepper flakes so we had everything we needed. The man who delivered our order was really friendly too. It did take an hour for our order to get to us, but that's what we were told it would be, so it was fine. The food arrived hot, and it was great pizza. We ordered a thin crust pizza, and we loved the crust, the sauce, and the fresh vegetables (especially the mushrooms). To be honest, as a native Chicagoan, I can't rate it as the best pizza I've ever had in my life, but it was REALLY good, and this is definitely a business that we would love to support again with how awesome their service was.

Just off the main road around the corner. Great food! We were suggested to try this place out by a shop owner in town. The salad was good it had spinach in it unlike most iceberg ones. The garlic bread was good as well as the homemade lasagna. We enjoyed the food so much we didn't have room for desserts. Would come again!

Great pizza. Had the double decker. Could not come close to finishing it. Wonderful service.

It looks so small, I might have passed it by. Yelp kindly tapped me on the shoulder and said "No, it's really good." As you walk in there is almost a tardis-like effect as you realize this place is much larger than you anticipated. We were greeted late in the day by a pleasant server. Although they had much more than pizza on the menu, I was in a Pizaa mood. We chose the labelle pizza which had a variety of cheese and some basil. The crust was thin. The flavor s were good. The pizza was plentiful without being overloaded. The topper was the choice of a Potosi Ale to wash it all down. Yum!

Recently ate here on a weekend getaway, Staff was very nice, Jack our server was great, he gave us a brief history review on the family business. We ordered Garlic bread to start off with which was perfect. We ordered specialty pizza Spinach and Roma Tomatoes which was ssoooo good. It had fresh ricotta cheese amd olive oil along with spinach and perfect size roma tomatoes. We also had a pizza with the works, thin crust was awesome. The place looks very small when you walk up but its was able to accommodate our large group. The only bad thing was we sat near the door, it was very cold out, everytime the door opened it seemed like forever for it to close. Overall we will be back.

Delicious and fresh. Ordered the 12" double decker with spinach and garlic. It was a perfect pizza. - super cheesy, saucy, with the appropriate amount of toppings.

Breadsticks stuffed with mozzarella were amazing. Ask for a side of their homemade Alfredo sauce for dipping! We bought 2 - 12" pizzas. One was the Hawaiian with shrimp, Canadian bacon, pineapple and tons of mozzarella cheese. We loved it! Great thin crust. The 2nd pizza was their famous double decker pizza with sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onion. It was good too but we enjoyed the thin crust pizza better. The veggies in the pizza were very fresh and tasty but cut too large for my preference. They didn't taste cooked. Very friendly staff and great service. We went on a Friday night. It was busy but we didn't have to wait to be seated

I give this place five stars because for being in a small quaint town, the pizza is awesome. Their specialty is thin crust, almost flat-bread like. The crunchy crust adds great texture to each bite, and they have an amazing selection to choose from. We ordered the Hawaiian style pizza because I have never had it with additional ingredients. In addition to pineapple and ham, it also had shrimp, fresh tomatoes, and pesto as the sauce. It was good! Our waitress was really nice and provided wonderful service. This place made an even bigger impression on me when the front desk clerk at the resort we were staying overheard us talking about Procento's. She raved on and on about how nice the owner is.

Very good thin crust pizza. Both my wife and I enjoyed our pizzas and would definitely return. Seating space is somewhat limited. Good service.

Love this place, stop in every time I go to Galena! Friendly staff, great food at reasonable prices, and always a hit with the kids. The greek pizza is my favorite, and the salads are a good choice too. Best pizza joint in Galena by far.

We ordered a pizza and breadsticks to our hotel while we were recently in Galena. We had Happy Joe's last year and it was terrible so we were looking to upgrade. We were successful and were very happy with our pizza from Procento's. We had the Procento's Special (sausage, green peppers, mushroom and chopped tomatoes...thin crust). The ingredients were so fresh and the sauce was tasty. Tasted like it was cooked in a brick oven. The breadsticks were good but a bit overpriced. Would recommend a stop in or delivery if in the area.

A very novel experience out in the hilly boonies of Galena. Having been brought here as part of a wine tour (ingenious business promotion - food and booze!) we didn't know what to expect. It was good to come in as a group to try one of the many pizzas on the menu. Each had a style, an origin, each flavorful in its own way. The wide range of ingredients was pleasing to the eyes and we had a hard time deciding what to order. The group ordered different items. We chose the Mediterranean. As each rolled out it was a feast on the eyes. All of us kept looking at the pizzas flying out in front of us with the expression, "what is going to come out next?" The shop has some Chicago roots I heard. Maybe that has something to do with the quality of the pizzas here, or maybe it doesn't. But they roll out tasty pies worth the minimal wait. Sure the decor is slightly kitschy, but they have beer! Alcohol always helps wash down tasteless victuals. That isn't the case here. You'll have many good reasons to shove pie in your face and move onto the alcohol. Rinse. Repeat. Staff was friendly, even if being forced to by our tour guide; in the end, we were the only couple to leave a tip for the kind service. What was up with that Iowans? Don't they tip over in those wheat and corn fields yonder? The place is small enough that you'll notice the food and drink being gobbled up before you'll notice the somewhat cramped quarters you share with other folks. But hey, this is Galena for crying out loud. No need to impose my McMansion, big city biases on this quaint, yet thriving business. No, this place does not require any scorn levied its way. There is one place down the street that sure does though! Bottom line: you'll be glad you stopped by on your way to the bridges or the rest of the shops that close at 5pm (4:15pm really) that only the tourists frequent. There's even a real blacksmith across the alley for you "sweat f your brow" types!

After readying yelp reviews we decided to head in. It is a very small setting, no more than about 10 tables. Since we came in when it just opened it wasn't busy. The young gentleman who waited on us was very assisting and nice. He was very chatty-Kathy with my husband throughout the whole meal. But seeing that my husband is mr chatty-Kathy himself it was all good. I personally like a little less talk while I'm eating so I was fine listening away ha. But very nice guy, good service. We decided to get onion rings to start, I let my husband choose. While waiting I was reading yelp reviews and people raved about the breadsticks... So I was a little disappointed we didn't go with that. I must say, and I'm not a huge onion ring fan, but these were really tasty and they had a nice crust to them, light not too thick. So wasn't too disappointed. We ordered the Labella Bella pizza Half sausage half non and it was such a tasty good pizza. I would absolutely order pizza from this place again. It was a very friendly atmosphere that will have me coming back not only for the food!

This is a great family owned Italian restaurant! The staff is friendly and clearly loves serving their family recipes to customers. We were a family of 4 adults with two four year olds, and we all walked away full and happy! Even the 4 year olds, which is not an easy feat! The pizza was great, but the breadsticks were amazing. The marinara accompanying the breadsticks was the best I've ever tasted! We also sampled the lasagna, which was made with the same great sauce! The cook kindly prepared some pasta with just the right amount of butter for the little one. We also enjoyed salad and garlic bread that was had just the right blend of garlic and butter with a perfect toasty texture! Next time we're anywhere close to Galena, we'll be sure to include Procentos as one of our stops!

I'm kind of a pizza snob, so I had no idea what to expect from this small establishment in Galena. I was hoping its proximity to Chicago might translate into good things. We ordered delivery as we were passing thru town and were too tired to go out. The 14" pizza arrived in less than a 1/2 hour, still hot from the oven and cut into squares! (our preferred way for thin crust). The mushrooms were fresh, ample and delicious. The sausage was perfect, free form and lumpy with lots of fennel and seasoning. The pie was a bit heavy on the cheese, but it was good cheese, so no points lost. There was some seasoning as well, maybe some coarsely ground pepper and oregano. All in all, it hit the spot and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again when we are in town.

The pizza was decent. Toppings seemed fresh. The Procento sticks were good. The cannoli was excellent! I have never had one this fresh. You can tell its legit when they use chocolate chips AND pistachios as a topping. Even the whipped cream on the side was great!

Had a pizza delivered to our hotel room and was very quick! We ordered the thin crust Procento's special and was good, but not great. The topping were cut a little to large for my liking, but wasn't bad by any-means.

We were happy to stumble upon this restaurant during our visit to Galena. It had a nice, comfortable atmosphere. We enjoyed our pizza and pasta, but felt rushed by the staff, assuming because the restaurant is so tiny and a few people were waiting (there's absolutely no place to wait). My husband needed to take one of our children to the restroom very shortly after our pizza arrived and a server came by asking if we needed a box. Only 3 pieces were eaten so far! Then she, the hostess and one other server came by no less than 3 more times asking if we needed a box. I assure you we were eating at a normal pace! Maybe they could squeeze in a few more tables...

Really cute little place with superb pizza. Stick to the za though. We tried some other dishes, like the angel hair pasta, and were not impressed.

Procento's is a fine pizzeria right off main street in Galena. I have mostly gotten take out from here but there is a nice, not too large, eat in area. I would not call the pizza's I have had here as deep dish Chicago style but they are not stingy in ingredients.

Very clean and friendly. Fresh made to order. We were there with our three boys under eight. Couldn't have gone better. Pizza wasn't the best I've ever had but I'm a Chicago native so maybe I'm hard to please.

I hadn't been to Galena in years and basically it was like a new experience for me again. So me and the lady picked out a pizza place out of the blue that was in the promotional book of businesses. I am super glad we ate there. Everything on the pizza was fresh and quality. We had their "special" which is sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and tomatoes. It was a perfect blend of all ingredients. The crust was crispy on the outside but slightly chewy still. I was just thoroughly impressed. We also had a side order of Mozzarella sticks due to the fact that we had to bring the order up to at least 20 bucks for delivery. Those were subpar in my opinion. It seems that maybe they were cooked on too high a heat too fast or something. They were edible, but the cheese wasn't melted on the inside of the breading. Im not super picky about appetizers like that so it didnt bother me but some people like to know. I dont factor those at all into the rating I give because the pizza was superb. The delivery was quick. It was a saturday night too. Arrived in about 35-40 mins.

Based on the reccomendation from a stranger- best pizza in town bar none, we gave it a go. Keep in mind our home town is Chicago- so we can be a bit harsh on pizza. We like saltine cracker thin crust, this is not that. It's good, but it's more of a regular thickness. Fresh toppings- veggies galore on the "special". Actual chunks of tomato. Decent sausage. Back home they would make it into rotation ;) don't miss the lemon berry marscapone cake Mmmmm

Ordered take out. Their shrimp appetizer was super awesome! It had some sort of cheese mixed into it. Delicious! Also their garlic bread with the 4 cheese blend was really good! I had the Mediterranean pizza which was very good as well! Probably not the best pizza I've ever had. The sauce and the dough was nothing special but there was nothing wrong with them other than that. I'd say overall it was a good experience. I would order again when I'm back in Galena but I'd also like to give another pizza joint a try as well.

This place is fantasic! We had the Mediterranean pizza and the special. They were both great and the service was great. It will be a definite stop everytime we come back. Also don't forget to try the dessert.

We loved it. The customer service was great. The price of our pizza was fair and the pizza was a quality thin crust. I normally think food in touristy destinations usually sucks and is over-priced. Neither was true in the case of Procento's. I would go back again, no question. At the end of the main street. Worth the walk to the end.

Two words.... Labella Bella. One of the best pizza's I've had. Small place, decent service, very good pizza selection. Thin and thick crust available. Its near the end of Main street, tucked away just a bit and well worth the walk!

The word is: WOW. Walking through Galena on a Monday afternoon, my friends and I were hard pressed to find a place to eat that was open before 4:30pm. We happened upon a spry older gentleman who told us that he owned the pizza joint around the block, and that if we didn't like the food, we wouldn't have to pay for it. After eating at Procento's, I'm certain that he's never had to refund anyone their money. I had the meatball sandwich special, which came with a side salad with peppercorn parmesan dressing. My mouth is literally watering right now as I type. These meatballs were phenomenal, smothered in fresh mozz and excellent marinara sauce. My friends split a couple of very interesting pizzas, which were also delicious. We started out with some mozzarella stuffed breadsticks, which were soaked in butter and garlic. mmmm. The waitress was super nice, and the whole atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming. To top it off, the bathrooms were the nicest I'd ever seen in a pizza place. Procento's is just off the main street, near the end of all the shops. Definitely worth the extra time walking! Just make sure that you are hungry when you get there. I felt like I needed to be rolled out of there when we finished eating.

Solid pizzeria. Subterranean establishment, very fun atmosphere and very warm and accommodating staff and owners. Calzone was decent, though I have to admit that it looked like something that would come out of a box from a supermarket. Pizza crust appeared exceptional; thin and flaky.

procentos.com procentos.com/documents/… I've been to Procento's a half dozen times or so. They only serve beer and wine for alcohol so keep that in mind. It is a very clean comfortable place, (not particularly cozy though) and the bathrooms are impeccable. I like their pizzas better eating in, but have had them to go also a few times. The very first time they messed up the order and I wound up with an onion pizza instead of a sausage and mushroom, which really turned me off. Yech! Too late to change it since it was already brought home and waited a while before reheating. I ordered mine from Paisano's then, which was great but that's a different review (to come). Since then though, we have always enjoyed their pizzas (as long as they get them right!) and have even tried their Italian beef sandwich which was wonderful -- tender, tasty, and to order with mixed peppers and au jus. The more I go there, the better I like them. Their cannolis are to die for --- nuts on both ends!!

I waver on the number of stars to give, but I'm going to settle for three. If I were stacking this up against a gourmet Italian restaurant, I would give two stars. The menu here is more Italio-American family style/comfort food, and that's what I'll rate it against. Considering that, it's still the best Italian restaurant in the area hands down. There's a few things that will make me instantly knock an Italian place down to a single star, two if its lucky. Mushrooms from a can. Food service pizza crust. A salt-block's worth of sodium in a single serving of sauce. Ignorance of basil or oregano as a spice. Procento's is NOT guilty of any of these offenses. Fresh mushrooms. Hand-made pizza crust. Red sauce that tastes more of oregano than salt. Mr. Pibb on the soda bar. OK, that has nothing to do with being a good Italian place. But I love me some MPB. When you just need a spot in Galena for casual dining, Procento's wins. Best pizza in town. It's not Chicago or New York pizza, but if this Chicagoan will come back for it, what else do you need to know?

The place was absolutely packed. They had 2 groups with reservations waiting for their tables and more people wanting to get on the waiting list. All we ordered was a double decker mushroom pizza. We got the smallest one, as although there was only 2 of us we were not even able to finish half. The pizza was really good and filling, even as left overs the next day.

We picked up a regular and gluten free pizza and while waiting, at least two of the staff offered something to drink to our person picking up the order. very nice touch ( and he didn't wait long either). The pizza was delicious and my daughter loved the GF one. Will return when in the area.

Had a thin crust pizza here the other nite. Good crust, mushrooms were fresh not canned. Very lite on the sauce, which did not bother me. To somewhat compensate for lite sauce, they instead chop up fresh tomatoes and throw on as a topping. I thought that worked well. Decent selection of bottled beers and wine. (Beer in a can is better preserved and usually tastier. I wish places would offer a selection of cans in their repertoires. Bottles don't protect against light and oxygen as well as cans, and light and oxygen are enemies of fresh beer) It is a very small place. Also, as you walk in you immediately must walk down steps so I got to wondering, did they raise the street level up? Why else would the entrance be arranged this way? The service was attentive. Their gimmick or practice is to serve the pizza on an elevated platform. While it looks nice and is different, I took it down because I didn't want the pizza cooling off any faster than necessary.

Hello, and welcome to YuppyVille USA! I just paid $40 dollars for a small gluten free pizza, all toppings were 1.50 each. So if you would like ANYTHING on your pizza, buck up dude, you're gonna pay for it. Let's put aside the fact it took me forever to park and yuppies were swarming everywhere. Yes..... I paid FORTY DOLLARS for a pizza. If there is gold in there then god bless my soul. Otherwise, avoid.

To be honest, as a native Chicagoan, I can't rate it as the best pizza I've ever had in my life, but it was REALLY good, and this is definitely a business that we would love to support again with how awesome their service was.

procentos.com procentos.com/documents/… I've been to Procento's a half dozen times or so.
