I've been here a few times over the past couple of years. The servers are always very nice, the food is tasty, and the prices are fair. We had 3 people in our group today, for example, and our bill was only $20. I'm taking off 1 star because their credit card machine was down today, which happens, I know, but this is the second time it has been down when I've been there. In addition, I ordered soup which the server brought with my meal instead of before. Overall, it's a great family restaurant with plenty of choices on the menu.

It is the place to go to in Cortland. I've seen their evolution from trailer, to their newly renovated place. Like I said it is the place to go to and my eggs are always done right. When I did eat meat, their sandwiches with cheese and au jus with good. The boyfriend always thinks their bacon is burned though, I don't have that problem since I don't like bacon nor eat it.

I have been coming here since I was very little. Its everything you could expect from a local diner. Everytime I walk in I am sure to run into another local that I havent seen for a while. in the past 17 years or so the food has not changed and is good. the breakfasts are great! although the portion size of the food has slowly decreased and prices slowly increase (still, its not ridiculously expensive). They recently remodled the main dining area to so its larger and it feels less crowded (which was always a problem if you showed up during busy hours) and there is always the option of carryout (everytime I order carryout my eggs are always overcooked) all in all, I have been coming here virtually my entire life and I dont plan on changing that tradition anytime soon.

Sams was a nice treat , food was ok, waitress Barbara was awesome , The cook , who may have been Sam , did not read the order , eggs were overdone and when the waitress saw them , she took them back , vs us even asking her .. coffee was good... We go to the Country Cafe in Big Rock , we will stay with them , food is a 5 star there and the service is wonderful ... Sam;s is ok if you are in a pinch .. other then that , the locals can have it ..

I've lived in Cortland for over 10 years and this place never let me down, It's no Outback Steakhouse but nevertheless it is very good and not too expensive. The waitresses are always kind and serve well, just what you would expect at a small town diner.

This place is definitely a family restaurant. Our server knew my hosts and had no problem striking up conversation about how things were going. It was refreshing! The menu has a lot of options and I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far. The skillet was a delicious choice plus there was plenty of food. My boyfriend loves the biscuit slam. He really likes the sausage gravy. I'm not a fan of that so I will just have to take his word on it. This place is cozy and the prices aren't bad. I'm sure we will visit again when we are in the area.
