BUFFET!! Visiting friends we decided to wake up early one morning and visit the breakfast buffet. Price was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and courteous along with being helpful. The breakfast buffet was HUGE! There was something for everyone. There were 4-5 buffet sections each with its own specialty from sweets, to salads, to Mexican food, to continental style. This is the place for anyone who really wants to have the breakfast of a lifetime. While we were sitting there finishing up our breakfast, it was lunch time and to our surprise, they started putting out food for lunch. YES! I could have just as easily started eating lunch right after my breakfast...only if I had any space left. The food was fresh and delicious! Even the sweets were tasty and made in-house. Coffee was included and with refills. This is THE place for anyone looking to have a great meal buffet.

Went there for my birthday with my mom and as we were eating my mom found a hair in her salad we made a complaint with the manager since I was eating before my mom sat down he looked at me and said well he eating so he took off my moms part of the bill but we were pretty much done after that we will never go back to this place ever

A chain is a chain, of course, but not all chains are created equal. I've come to have low standards for Golden Corral, as the one closest to my house was recently shut down by the health inspectors. But still, buffets are good for a college budget and sometimes they just hit the spot. Usually, I have a problem with Golden Corral's staff and the cleanliness and not the food, but this time it was the exact opposite. Our server was a little slow, but he was really friendly. He made sure we had drinks and a clean table, which was much appreciated. We were also seated right away, which was good. The food was seriously lacking this time though. I usually really enjoy their fried chicken, but this visit it was all dried out and gross. I didn't eat any of it. The fajita mix of chicken and peppers and onions was flavorless- I didn't eat that either. It was a bummer to have to keep trying different things to try and get something good. Thankfully, their bourbon chicken was on point, as always. I would also really recommend the strawberry cheesecake French toast. I wish I had tried that first because I would have happily just filled up on that from the get-go. I do like that this location has a chocolate fountain, and various sweets on sticks to dip into it. Dinner is something like $11.99 for an adult, so really you get what you pay for.

I'm really torn on this buffet. On one hand, the different options offered here are great. There is everything from Bourbon Street chicken (personal favorite) to meatloaf to fried shrimp. All of this variety comes at a cost though. The prepared food is very bland and the salad/fruit options are typically soggy, cold, and mundane. If you are visiting Golden Corral, then I recommend trying the Bourbon Street chicken and the bread pudding because they are the only two shining stars in a buffet of mediocre-ness. The waiters are mostly friendly and attentive but the prices do not match the quality of the food. It costs almost 20$ a person (including drink) to eat at Golden Corral and it's really just not worth that kind of price tag. There are definitely better options in the Carbondale/Marion area that beat out this place, regardless of it being all you can eat or not.

My cousin picked the place to eat. After we got there she admitted she wanted to come because of the dessert bar. She's 9yrs old. So that being said it's a great place for kids. GREAT. They even have differences in prices for 8 and under and 9 to teens not a bad deal. She eats as much as I do so her $5.99 www well spent. Our total was only $20 so mine was cheap as well. I pretty much got what I paid for. On the upside it cleaner than it has been before. The waiter/plate taker was fast and friendly. I love the salad bar choices. I got a real plate of food then noticed the salad bar. Could have lived and ate there alone. Should have actually. The 9yr old loves the ice cream bar. I think the desserts taste worse than boxed cake mix so yeah. That part wasn't so great. The tables were sort of clean (I guess the dirty ones weren't in Demetrius' section 'cause he was good). The floor had straw wrappers and I still think the whole place could use a good scrubbing. That's her only trip there this visit but I won't scream in protest if someone wants to go.

Finally tried this place after seeing so many commercials for it. Our friends and family kept asking us what Golden Corral was like. I can finally say that it was not worth the money. A typical buffet. The selection is actually smaller than I would have liked and of course, the ethnic foods were not authentic enough for my taste. Even the Mexican food tasted strange. They have a person who cooks individual dishes at the seafood station. You choose the type of meat, the side, and the sauce. They will cook it for you while you walk around and gather more food. There were a few things that I did like, the American foods like mashed potatoes and chicken, but overall the food was too salty. The buffet was also not as clean as it should be. They just added a chocolate fountain so you can imagine how messy the dessert bar way. I'm surprised I didn't come out of there with food poisoning.

Now I know that I have a repute for being a little piggy sometimes, especially when I want good food...This time around decided to give this location in Carbondale a try but truth be told I did not expect much! Even a person like me who can chow down a cow like a champ, had to pick and choose what I "wanted" to have at Golden Corral, my my my, I felt like chris tucker in Rush Hour 2! I'll have that one, you too baby, hi sugar! one of the best beef briskets i've ever had outside of home! the knife went through it like butter! the bourbon chicken was amazing also, and so was the baked fish! love their salad bar (who said that) *looks around...fresh veggies, i was impressed enough to hold a salad fork with my pinky saluting sky high! :) and if you've got a sweet tooth! WOW, desserts are dime a dozen, but since i'm on a diet (man diet!) I just stood in front of the desserts buffet and soaked it in like eye candy, then I literally had 2 spoons of frozen yogurt! The food is fresh, prepared very well, and the service is good! I'm sold! If i wasn't a student and had money issues, i'd go there everyday! hope this helps :)

So im here where i was born. Its freezing and snowing. I was going to stay holed up the the room for the next 5 days but i saw the Golden Corral and stopped by. It was neater and the food tasted better than the ones here in Ga. I gave it a 4 star because its a buffet!

This place is great. They have a lot to choose from as far as a buffet goes. Their meats are fresh, and the salad bar has all the fixings and more. My parents absolutely love this place, so we'll be hitting it up when I get back in town. The price of it is probably close to $15 per person, so it's not an every-night thing, but it's worth the two or three-mile drive to get to on the outskirt of C-dale.
