Try the corned beef hash it's home made and awesome. Great staff and atmosphere. Don't worry about the line they push people through here very efficiently. Hot cakes with bananas were also delicious and everything right down to the iced tea is fresh and made with care.

Always busy here, but they somehow manage to push customers through quickly. Service is always on spot, and the food is divine. Highly recommend the French toast. Even the plain French toast has something magical about it...crunchy on outside and nice and chewy on inside.

Wifey and I were super conflicted after this experience. She wanted to give this a one star review for food, but upgrade to a two for the awesome service. I think I want to give it a three star for food, but four or five star for service. I am compromising here. I will start by saying the service was seriously great. Constant coffee and water refills, which was impressive because we had one decaf and one regular. Our waitress and the other servers were really polite and friendly. The food came out quickly and, when my wife completely hated everything about her meal, the waitress was concerned, got her something different and comped the first meal. We've been to places where they offer to get you something else and then charge you for both, so I was so happy that wasn't the case here. As I mentioned, wifey hated her meal. The scrambled eggs weren't really scrambled eggs, but some kind of egg loaf that was flavlorless. She had asked for whites only, but they were pretty yellow. The blueberry stuffed french toast wasn't stuffed, it was two slices of french toast with blueberries in between them and WAY too much butter. The hash browns, which she thought were going to be home fries, were limp and flavorless and not crispy. So I don't blame her for not enjoying it. However, they replaced this with yogurt and housemade granola and it was akin to a religioius experience, or as much as it could be with granola. I had the crab cakes benedict and wouldn't have it again. It wasn't awful, but the hollandaise was kind of runny and overly citrusy. The crab cakes were passable, but not impressive or worth the price. I upgraded my hash browns to the griddle spuds, which covers them in peppers, onions, bacon and cheddar cheese. Again, it was pretty good, but maybe too cheessey or underseasoned. Overall, I think I have to agree with Ophelia in saying everything was a okay. With so many new and interesting and amazing breakfast spots in town, and closer to our home, we probably won't come back fora a while.

This place is awesome for breakfast. Great service and great food! They make their own homemade jam on seasonal fruit that is delicious. The eggs Benny is great, my husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito as well. We will definitely be regulars here.

Great food. Friendly service. It has the feeling of a greasy spoon diner but with better food! I'll definitely be coming here again, there's so many good looking things on the menu. Bonus: the busboy was wearing a tutu -adorable!

I know it's only breakfast food but boy do they do it very well! And the service is awesome! Although I have to say everyone in Boise is so friendly!

People were great, seemed like family ran with all ages working bussing etc. Biscuit and gravy huge biscuit little gravy cut it in half and top both and it would have been 5 star.

My roommates and I love this place. I would say on average we go here twice a week. The food always tastes delicious and fresh and the servers are very friendly.

Breakfast to me is probably the best meal of the day. So having a place like this close makes the mornings start off the right way. The staff and food here are amazing. I don't think I got through a quarter of my coffee before it was filled up again. The food is always delicious, something I can see myself trying to recreate at home. It's served up very fast too. If recommend this breakfast gem to anyone!

Really worth 3.5 stars. The service is fantastic! Your coffee & water will ALWAYS be full. I had the pulled pork & green chili omelette. The omelette was well cooked, but could've used a lot more green chili. It felt dry overall. Instead of hashbrowns, I substituted a fruit bowl. It costs $2.50 extra, but it's definitely worth it! It is not your average fruit bowl. It's filled with fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, grapes, pineapple. Definitely worth the upgrade if you're looking for a more health conscious option. My meal also came with some wheat toast (2 slices). The table has amazing fresh berry jam!! I ended up eating all the bread because I couldn't stop. Odd enough, but that jam was delicious!! Overall, a great breakfast spot. I'm not from Boise, so I do not have anything to compare it to other than the restaurants in Seattle. Definitely a great breakfast stop with SO many options!

It lives up to it 's slogan, Good Cookin'. Great specials and very friendly staff. If your in town, this is a go to for breakfast.

We stopped here for breakfast on our trip from Portland to Yellowstone. The servers were so friendly and welcoming. They had great senses of humor and out up with mine and my wife's. The atmosphere was great. Very "dinerish" and had the comfiest chairs. I'm a big guy, so that's important to me. The food was exactly what we were looking for. Go somewhere else if you're looking for mediocre breakfast food. (I'm looking at you, Denny's). My wife had the Pecan waffle combo and could barely finish it. I finished it for lunch. ;) I had the chicken fried steak which was hand breaded to order. The gravy was amazing and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The hash browns were also good and crispy like I like them. Overall, if I ever find myself in Boise again, this will be a regular stop! Thanks!

Visited to power up before Race for The Cure 2015. I continue to support this particular location of The Griddle over the Eagle location. They had (and I tried) the salmon breakfast special that others have spoken of and it's wonderful! Had another taste of the Chorizo Benedict too, just wonderful! Our sever Lindsey was the total package, personable, friendly and a wonderful 'caretaker' for us as her guests. I'm looking forward to going back.. I think there are waffles in my future!

We went here today (Sunday) at around 2 pm and got a table right away. We ordered : 1. Spinach, feta, tomato & basil omelette with hash browns and English muffin 2. Hot cakes ( pancakes ... Just thicker) 3. Gourmet Oatmeal 4. Beer mimosa The order came out quickly, the serving size of omelette ( whole #1) was small. The hash browns tasted okay and English muffin was regular. Hot cakes (please) seemed undercooked from the inside and tasted weird. Gourmet oatmeal was good (my friend said) I had Beer mimosa for the first time and it was good (not a regular beer drinker though). I have had the whole combo of eggs, hash browns and toast at so many places that the good and bad stands out! Overall I might try this place again .... Not sure! Though I have heard better things about their non vegetarian food options.

We went to breakfast here a few months ago and I loved it. They had so many great options and I thought you got a decent amount of food for the price. I haven't been back recently, but it's always on my breakfast/brunch list.

  • Lisa S.

Stand behind what you serve! We went to the Griddle last week and the waitress enthusiastically encouraged us to try the special, saying we would love it. When it arrived, it was awful looking. I tried two bites thinking maybe it tasted better than it did, but it was awful. Some weird eggs Benedict over pulled pork and tortilla chips. When she came to check on us, I told her I didn't care for the special she had recommended and that I didn't want it. She did not offer to replace it with something else, but scooped up my plate and took it away. When we got our bill, I expected they would not have charged me for something I didn't eat because it was awful, but she charged full price, and it was not cheap. She then proceeded to try to talk us into their frequent diner program. Not likely. Very disappointed. If you can't stand behind your recommendations and do the right thing by your customers, I have lost respect for your establishment.

Have eaten breakfast here a few times over the past couple of months, so far the food is very good and have not been disappointed with anything I have ordered. The food is slightly higher priced than my favorite place (Goldy's) but the wait here is a lot shorter. The hollandaise sauce is also not as good from my experience, even the chorizo benedict with spicy hollandaise was missing something. The red flannel hash is very tasty and the waffle with berries and granola is also very good.

  • Kasey N.

Went here on a Tuesday morning. I enjoyed what I had (omelette) & the pace of service was good. The food is your average breakfast fare--biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc. I honestly kind of feel that for the price of the food it would have been more mind blowing? There are less expensive & tastier breakfast options elsewhere in Boise. TLDR; Meh.

  • Carly H.

The only thing better than the food was the service! First off, our waitress Stephanie could not have been better. She was super friendly, answered our questions and was on the spot with refills. My review does not do her justice, but I wanted to review the service first, because it was that good. The food itself was spectacular. The potatoes were great with the homemade salsa. I also recommend that everyone indulge in a hot cake for a side dish and put some of the yummy jam on it!

  • Meg K.

The choice to come here was courtesy of its proximity. What a luck of the draw ! Service is super nice and friendly. Fresh squeezed orange juice everything is fresh made and unique. The crepes were fluffy without being over the top and the red flannel hash was unique and different and tasty. A total win.

  • Ophelia M.

Mostly, my experiences here have been A-OK. California omelet? A-OK. California Benedict? A-OK The service? A skosh on the slow side most mornings--but overall A-OK. What falls below the mark: -The coffee. I mean, diner coffee isn't usually fabulous. But, even for diner coffee...meh. What hits above the mark: -One morning they had a "Salmon Special," which was a salmon scramble smothered in Hollandaise with a sprinkling of capers that was 4 star fabulous. -The interior is darling and impeccably clean. Is it the best breakfast in town? No. But, they'll get the job done with adequate service and solid diner fare at reasonable prices. And, if they've the salmon scramble--by all means, my people, order it!

It's my first time here with a friend and WOW. The service is amazing, like the previous reviews have said, and the place overall is very warm and welcoming. I got the breakfast burrito and it was one of the best I've had. I liked that there were beans in it too so it wasn't just a egg burrito like some breakfast places. The hash browns were crispy, a little oily but that's expected with hash browns, and the homemade salsa and guacamole were just the icing on the cake. I also got a mimosa with fresh squeezed orange juice which was strong and just the way I liked it! My friend got a side of the Red Flannel Hash and loved the chunks of bacon in it. Everything was evenly balanced when it came to how much of what was in it. Overall the portion size was perfect and we would definitely come again. The only reason it was not a 5 star was because we haven't come here before and don't know what the rest of the menu has to offer.

Very cute little restaurant we found driving around. Breakfast was good and quick. Service was friendly and prompt. My picky 16 year old loved his Caribbean French Toast which had coconut flakes cooked in it. My 10 year old had chocolate chip pancakes which of course he devoured. My husband really liked his quinoa, chorizo and eggs. I liked my gravy and biscuits but the gravy was on the sweet side...good anyway. Very happy and would go again.

  • Taylor P.

Fantastic service, delicious food, fun and casual atmosphere. My sister and I got there around 1:00 pm but she got the French toast (and LOVED it) and I got the chicken salad croissant which was delicious. We will definitely be going back!

  • Maile K.

Best french toast I've ever had. Waitress was really great. Love places that have coffee for when you wait. Only reason I gave a 4 star is that when we arrived I asked if they were seating outside and was told no. After a 15 minute wait, another waiter seated someone out there. Also, no hostess, just a clipboard where you put your own name. And counter seating should be first come first serve, it is one of the few places where it isn't. If they had an amazing hostess who knew whether they were seating outside or not, would have been 5 hands down.

  • Ashlee B.

I love it here! The hot cakes and French toast is to die for. It's the best breakfast place I have been too in a long time. Their home made salsa is perfect to top on any of their egg dishes. The staff is so friendly as well! Our waitress was so sweet to us, and really made us feel at home while we were there. I couldn't be happier in choosing a breakfast place!

  • Kerisa K.

First off my husband and I came here for the first time on Palm Sunday right after church so needless to say it was VERY busy! The servers were very sweet and were running around like crazy! The food was very good, but not fantastic. I had the special which was the cinnamon roll French toast and it was tasty. The downfall of our experience was that we sat at the counter so we could see the kitchen. There was a mixup with them not making my order so we sat and watched my husbands order sit under the food lamps for what we counted as over 20 minutes. His sausage was luke warm and his eggs were cold. I'm sure it would've been fine of it wasn't so busy.

  • Julie S.

The restaurant is adorable and super clean! The wait staff could not be sweeter! The food is amazing and reasonably priced. A MUST!

The Almond Crusted French Toast is to die for! Fresh fruit and good coffee. Definitely worth a try! The croissant breakfast sandwich was also noteworthy.

Great service..good food! We loved everything from the omelets to the cherizo & egg tostada. Omelet was fantastic with the homemade salsa. And Freshly squeezed OJ .. Yum!!! Only complaint was the biscuits & gravy ...not good at all.

  • Guy L.

Wow. What has happened at this spot. Ordered a tan melt and they must have forgotten to add the tuna? Are they cutting back on quantities? Two pieces of bread with an amount of tuna the size of a quarter squeezed in between. Really! Fortunately the waitress graciously ordered another one which was slightly better but still sub par. Concerned as my previous visits were met with reasonable sandwich servings and quality food. Hope this was just a bad day so will try one more time. However, little birdie thinks they are cutting back and getting "cheep!"

    (2)
  • Joe V.

2nd time there, very busy place. I understand slower service when they are busy, which happened during my first visit. However, to be ignored and have people seated after our party served before us was inexcusable. We won't be back.

My wife and I went here on a Sunday. We sat outside so I don't know much about the inside atmosphere but it was nice outside and the chairs were comfortable. Our server was polite, nice etc. Where this place falls short for me is the food/value. It's okay, nothing gross or terrible... but what we paid was not indicative of the quality. It's breakfast food, some of the cheapest food to serve up and the hardest to mess up, and we paid $30.00? I got a glass of OJ and a biscut and gravy which came with 2 eggs and hashbrowns. My wife got an omlette which came with hasbrowns and a glass of OJ. $30.00 later we felt a little ripped off. ($3.19 for an 8oz glass of OJ... come on... Yeah it's 'fresh squeezed' but I can get a whole bag of oranges for that) It's not like we didn't read the prices - we did. We just thought "huh, this is a little pricey, I wonder how they differentiate from other places." They don't. Standard affair and small portions at not so small prices.

I thought the food was pretty good! If you like a nice, clean, diner this is the place! Great breakfast.

Tried this place despite the mixed reviews for the other locations. I was pretty impressed. The menu is interesting, with something for everyone. The service was great, and the fresh squeezed OJ was delish. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a new breakfast place in the neighborhood.

Had spent 4 days eating the breakfast at the hotel and needed some real food. I found it here. I had the Mo's Potatoes (I think that's it) with two scrambled eggs and wheat toast. Delicious!! My server was Erin who was very attentive and checked on me often. I got there a little after 7am on Sunday, not busy but by 8 things were hopping. Will definitely return!

Great service and my Chorizo Benedict was excellent. Bottomless coffee cup and tasty fresh orange juice. Warm atmosphere and a cool vibe. Friendly morning waitresses with attentive service. It's all I could ask for. Thank you!

  • Andrew H.

The entire menu is reliably good. Specials are often great. Love the craft of mimosa with freshly squeezed juice. And service is particularly good. Warm, personal, and not in your face. This is our go to local breakfast spot. Kids are welcome. They serve Dawson's coffee, excellent stuff. Highly recommended breakfast spot, in addition to Goldie's and Big City Coffee downtown.

We were looking for a breakfast place and stumbled upon this place. I was ready for some basic, generic breakfast food but was absolutely blown away by how tasty the food here was. The Aunt Moe's scramble was phenomenal!! Highly recommend!

  • Ashlyn M.

The Griddle is amazing!! Best breakfast place in Boise by far! My hubby and I come at least once a month. Their crepes and carribean French toast are fantastic! Try their homemade salsa as well! You can't go wrong with anything you order here!

    (5)
  • Josephine F.

This locations of The Griddle is probably one of the best breakfast places in the Boise/Meridian area. Auntie Mo's spuds are one of the specialties and best things on the menu. We had a great waitress who was friendly and efficient. They also have locally roasted coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. 5 out of 5 for sure.

    (5)
  • Arianna F.

Fresh squeezed orange juice! It's was a pleasant surprise. I also had the chorizo benedict which was very good, I would order it again. The staff was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was super clean and the atmosphere was bright and happy. I would definitely recommend and I will be back! Maybe I'll try lunch next time.

  • Rick F.

The portions are getting smaller,if you want your money's worth go to The Capri. The hot cakes are good. I would recommend it once in a while but not all the time .On the pricey side. They have too much turnover in employment that should tell you something about any business.Weekends are busy.

  • Scott D.

Our server, Erin, was super. Ask for her. Had the bacon, bruschetta, pesto omelette. I loved it. Don't believe I'd ever had pesto on an omelette before. Sister had California omelette with hollandaise and homemade salsa. Fantastic.

I especially love eating out at breakfast and am always on the lookout for someplace with great food, good coffee, big comfortable booths, and amazing service. Today the Griddle on Park Center gets an A+ on all fronts. Walking in I felt immediately at home and coffee came within seconds after we were seated. The menu is varied with some really good sounding choices, but my daughter and I were intrigued by the breakfast specials. I had the Spanish Scramble. Soft scrambled eggs were mixed with lots and lots of pepper jack cheese, chorizo, tomatoes and onions covered in what they call Spanish sauce but is a great tasting smooth salsa. Served with a good portion of very crispy (slightly greasy) hash browns and toast, it started my day the right way. My daughter had the french toast combo special which was topped with a delicious (can you say totally fattening??) compote made with mango and (OMG!) champagne whipped cream and served with perfect over medium eggs and just right bacon. Finally, my wife ordered oatmeal and was given the choice of traditional or steel cut. A big bowl was served with large sides of milk, raisins and walnuts so she had all the mix-ins she wanted to add. Our friendly waitress came around often to check on us and refill our coffee. We will be frequent flyers here!

If you are a 6 am riser... this is the place to go. Sunday Breakfast this morning was super succulent, pan fried, pecan crusted French Toast with a caramel sauce. What's better than that. Though they might wan't to change their espresso coffee, the dollop was so bitter, but to even that out, fresh squeezed orange juice! And a smiling pretty server added to it all.

  • Jenny A.

We love this place. The food is good, with generous portions. The corned beef hash is the best I've had, with big chunks of real corned beef and potatoes -- nothing like the greasy mush you get elsewhere. Most of all, we really appreciate the genuinely friendly and eager service here. We have never had a bad service experience. Nice, friendly atmosphere and clean environment.

Love this place!!! The French toast is amazing. Definitely the best I have ever had. Crab cake benedict is also really good!!! Service is usually great considering how busy they are all the time. Highly recommended

This place is juuuust right. We enjoyed the breakfast quesadilla and veggie omelet, pancakes, hash browns etc. The americano and the oj was really good! We got right in at 9 on a Saturday so that was good. It was packed shortly after.

I have been here many times and it is always AMAZING! For starters, freshly squeezed orange juice...'nuff said. I've had their jerk chicken sandwich, finger lickin' good! Today, I went back for a third time. I had the crepe with hash browns and someone else had the eggnog french toast with sausage and bacon on the side. Everything was flavorful and home made. For the same price as some of these other places not half as fresh. I loved it and I will definitely be back.

One of the most remarkable experiences that I have seen, my 19 month old daughter was fussy and tired, she began to get upset and one of the servers (not ours) grabbed a bowl of marshmallows for her, while another server Erin offered to take her for a walk while we ate but I said that it was ok. She still got fussy and I had to take her outside, the server (also not our server) Erin followed me outside and offered again to hold her so my wife and I could eat our breakfast with my family, which I let her. My mom who has been going through chemo was moved to tears at this gesture and kept asking "who does this?" I continue to point out that it was not our server not to be disparaging to our server because she was awesome but really to point out that it was not the regular restaurant experience where it is the "its not my table, its not my problem" attitude. Not only were we treated to an amazing meal but we were continued to treated to genuine hospitality and friendliness. I say genuine because too often you see corporate establishments get on a knee, turn a chair backwards and sit their with their customers to attempt to bring a sense of genuiness but this was truly genuine. Further more, this place was swamped and Erin did not have to do this. Thank you so much!!

This is my favorite breakfast spot in the valley. The griddle has a great variety of gourmet breakfast dishes. I personally choose the Rosie's French toast most the time. They also make good crepes, pancakes, and omelets. Since I work close to this location I go here for lunch every once in a while. The golden gate sandwich may be their staple, but try the breakfast burger, too. I have never had a problem with service here. I do suggest getting here early on weekends, there can be a lot of people around 9. The environment can get noisy when the inside is full. Lunches during the week are quiet.

We love this place! Food is always good and service is great! I wish they had more options for people that can't eat eggs but otherwise great place.

Meh....My 8 yr old son and I went here for breakfast on Sunday. I had heard great things about it. I am not sure if it was just a bad day for them or not but it kind of sucked. My son ordered the kids french toast. It was 1 piece of french toast. He was still hungry. My son also had hot chocolate which he loved. (of course) I had the red flannel hash, which was actually tasty. This was served with scorched toast and the blandest of scrambled eggs. The biggest problem with my dish, aside from the toast being burnt was the price..almost $12 for not much. I could see $6 or maybe $8 but almost $12 really? (ok, I knew the price when I ordered it but I had high expectations.) We had to ask the wait staff 3 times to bring us silverware. I asked for water for us and we were brought one glass...I had to ask for a second glass for myself. When we were finished I had to ask for an extra napkin so my son could wipe the syrup off his face..the waitress had to walk across the room and then only brought one. The Griddle has the vibe of a place trying so hard to cut costs that they are cutting out the quality. I so wanted this to be great but for the price I will look elsewhere.

Ate breakfast here today. The service was prompt friendly and helpful. My omelette was fine, but very dense, and not fluffy. I had a pancake on the side, just to try it. After all this is the Griddle, and they pride themselves on their pancakes. The pancake was OK. Dense and not very flavorful, with an aftertaste I did not like. Not bad, but skip the cakes.

I love this place! We found this place on yelp! Everything seems to be made from scratch. Fresh squeezed lemonade. I had the crepes, the cheese in the middle tasted like cheese cake. It was so good. Will come back.

I really like this place. Relaxed, fun and clean '50's-ish atmosphere. Excellent breakfasts to be had. Great omelets, biscuits/gravy and fresh fruit. Prompt service and friendly staff. It gets crowded, so be prepared for a wait, if you wait to late for breakfast. Enjoy.

Found The Griddle by first visiting the original location when I was driving through Winnemucca, NV. Learned they had locations here in Boise. Liked it a lot so had to try this nearby location. Food was just as good. Ambience is different but that was to be expected from looking at the outside. Service was friendly and the food was tasty. I had the croissant egg sandwich. Definitely will come back.

We stopped for lunch. Only had a half dozen tables full at the time. Waitress was very pleasant. Meal was solid. I went for the salad and 1/2 sandwich combo. A lot of old fashion flavor with a heavy buttered toast and cheese albacore. We also had the turkey with cranberry sauce. Very good sauce, perhaps made on site. But substitutions are cost extra so a $12 turkey sandwich seem a little high. We'll give breakfast a try some day.
