Wife ordered the featured small plates for a meal, but salad doesn't come with that. You have to pay $3.00 more for free salad and bread sticks. The waitress brought out salad for both of us anyway, which was nice of her. the food was good. Love the fried meat ravioli.

Thought we would give Olive Garden another try. We were greeted by a cranky hostess.....and Unfortunately nothing has changed. The waitress was very short with us. The food came out cold and very small portions. Flies buzzing around our plates as if we were on a picnic. No more chances olive garden. You've lost our business for good.

When it comes to chain restaurants I tend to be harsh. However for this location, I have eaten at for more than 14 years and I can say that what always brings me back is the service. The managers know me and have always taken care of me. And while the Menu has changed, the service has not. They have always been attentive and solved any issue quickly. I would prefer to give it a 3.5 stars if I could for the service alone, rather than the menu.

The salad was... The salad. That is the only remotely nice thing I have to say about my experience. I came here with my boyfriend on a week night, the place was barely populated yet the service took FOREVER. So much for endless salad and breadsticks... By the time our second round of salad came we were ready to leave! The entrees were just. Plain. Bad. We both got a pasta dish. You'd think that an "Italian" restaurant would know how to make pasta, but nope! The pasta was chewy and dry, the sauces were greasy and flavorless, the chicken was not seasoned and dry. This is why I hate chain restaurants, the lack of care. For the food, and for the customer's time and money. Never coming back. In conclusion... No. Just no.

Absolutely the WORST Olive Garden I've ever been to. The staff will disappear for extended periods of time to go have a smoke break. One time while leaving someone was actually doing a drug deal while working. The food is inconsistent at best and the quality is not equivalent to the price. Let's not even mention the To-Go. Incomplete orders, one order online that they "didn't even have". Management could care less and customer service is a joke. Officially DONE!

In the rock n' roll world, we know what happens when a bandmate's ego becomes a dark force in the studio, or when a manager's negativity follows you around on the road. It affects everyone. The mojo rots and dies. What should be groovy, becomes a drag. My guess is that the mojo at the Davenport Olive Garden died years--maybe even decades--ago. The waitresses and waiters walk around like they hate it there. You can feel the dark energy. Look, the food isn't bad, for imitation Italian food. You might even call it decent. Good, even. The servers do try... sometimes. But, I'm telling you, it's like Guns N' Roses in the early 90s. The ingredients are fine--but there's something irreparably wrong with morale. From the seaters, to the hosts, to the servers, everyone has a sort of "Sting" on their shoulder. Their mouths are saying, "Welcome," but their eyes are saying, "Don't stand so close to me."

My husband and I came here because we had a gift card, and we don't have a local Olive Garden. While it wasn't our first experience with Olive Garden, it was definitely our best. The service was top notch. Everyone had a smile on their face and we were promptly greeted. David was by far the best server there. Cheers to a great staff and a great meal.

The service was good. We ordered pasta, ravioli, and the so called new item, The soup was so salty and thin it must have came out of a can and they stretched it with way too much water. The meat balls tasted like freezer burn. Alfredo sauce Way to salty. Even the bread sticks were bad, dry and why do they offer unlimited bread sticks if you have to fight to get them? Just a bad Monday night at Olive Garden.

Our waitress was really attentive and friendly. The food was the same as it is at every Olive Garden. The host who sat us was the worse part about it. Seemed like he was having a bad day. Other than that the whole experience was a good one.

If you are looking for average to mediocre imitation Italian food this is your spot. I cringe every time I see their commercial...Uncle Vito came into town from the old country, so we took him to thr Olive Garden. Ha. Uncle Vito would put a hit out on you if you took him to this place. The soup, salad, and breadsticks are a good deal, but overall this is just a typical franchise restaurant. If you want real good Italian food in the Quad Cities, I recommend Trattoria tiramisu or D'Allesandros. Mom and pop restaurants run by real Italians who cook real Italian food. Anyine who says Olive Garden is authentic Italian probably thinks Taco Bell is authentic Mexican.

We had a wonderful waitress! Although all four of us ordered the endless soup and salad, our waitress didn't treat us any different, and she even had our second servings of salads and soups ready to go!

Arrived at OliveGarden for lunch.Seated immediately.Staff friendly. Ordered the Never Ending PASTA BOWL. 6Pastas 5 Sauces. (limited time) I had the Chicken & Gnocchi soup. It was delicious. Spaghetti and Meat Balls were strong with Oregano for my taste. Next time I would try Fettuccine and Alfredo Sauce Would return

In April 2012, I went to the Olive Garden in Davenport for supper with some friends and colleagues after a visit to the National Weather Service office up the road. Probably because our group was large (ten or so people) and it was after 7 PM on a Thursday, we had to wait about 25 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, there was a team of four or five servers assigned to our table. Yes, we had a few people for sure, but that seemed a little excessive. The servers were attentive to the point of being almost vulture-like. Certainly, it is worse to have inattentive service, but it was a bit excessive to the point that there were several miscommunications among the team of servers. Additionally, a few of us had coupons for a free appetizer for another one purchased -- and we conveyed this up front to the server team -- but this seemed to befuddle them as evidenced by a bill at the end that included all the appetizers at full price. There was some reluctance to correct this error, but my hint that I would not pay the automatically included gratuity forced a correction. I am convinced that all this confusion overall would have been avoided had they (1) not put so many servers on our table and (2) done separate checks for each person in our group. Anyway, as for food, it ranged from average to slightly above average. I have had better at other Olive Gardens, but it was far from unacceptable. My appetizer was a fruschetta, and that was pretty good. The breadsticks were good, as usual, and, to the credit of the servers, they kept bringing them out! For an entree, I had Marsala chicken; the portion size seemed a bit small, it was a bit greasy, but it was not horrible -- probably about average.

Your typical Olive Garden with all the accroutements. Friendly staff try to be as on the dot as possible while being friendly.

I enjoy their soup, salad and breadsticks for lunch. It's not the most authentic Italian food, but it hits the spot. Parking can be a nightmare.

GREAT food. Service is usually very good. Prices are reasonable. Call before you go otherwise you'll have to wait awhile.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
